Chapter 22: Motherly Love?

Luke's POV
I got slammed into the ground. I was bleeding from my mouth and my right arm had been dislocated. But I kept on fighting. I had too. To earn the demon's trust I decided to train with them. It was a plan, but not a perfect one. My mother was the only of the demons that would train me, as the rest of them didn't even care that I existed. This ended with my mother pushing me harder than I had ever been pushed before. She would not stop training until I was knocked unconscious or she had crippled me. Because of that I had to rest in a lab tank for days on end just to heal properly. My magic had changed too. I still used lightning, but instead of magic I used something my mother called a curse. And my lightning was pure white now instead of blue. All my techniques were useless as well. I tried over and over to use them, but nothing happened. When I got enraged over my failings I would explode with lightning. My mother told me to use that anger, but I refused. If I let anger be my power again, I could never go back. I hated so many things, my own mother for one, but I would not let that drive me. Anger would lead to letting go of what I loved, I could never let that happen.
My mother kicked me into a wall, it collapsed over me. I picked myself up, only to be punched in the face and sent flying again.
"I don't get it!?" My mother complained. "You were so powerful as a lowly human, but now… You can hardly evade me when I go easy on you! What gives!?"
"I was a human for years and years mother. I never had to use curses in fights! And none of my opponents were even close to as strong as you!" I wiped my mouth and tried to summon lightning into my hands.
Come on… work damnit!
"Lightning Phoenix's Blitz!" I yelled.
But nothing happened.
"You idiot!" My mother dashed right at me. "That was Slayer Magic! Of course it won't work for a demon!"
She tried to hit me in my face again, but this time I redirected the punch. Only to be tripped over and smashed into the floor again. I felt my spine breaking, leaving me unable to move. The pain almost made me pass out. At first my mother looked worried, but she quickly turned around and stomped the ground, cracking it.
"Why!? Why is it so hard for you to just use your curse!? You've done it before! Just use your anger! Even if it is me you're angry at! Just let go!"
I stayed silent. I did not know what to say. Using my anger would mean getting stronger, but it would also mean that I had to revert back into my 'true' form, that of a demon. I had to make a choice and soon. I had to earn their trust after all.
"I want to!" I spat. "I want to use my anger! But I am afraid that I will lose control, power without control is worth nothing!"
"Then I will help you my dear!" My mother sat down beside me. "I will help you control all your anger! I will move heaven and earth for you!" She smiled at me. It was a warm smile, it reminded me of Erza's smile. I got tears in my eyes.
"I…"
"But first we must heal your back!" She got back up and lifted her leg.
"Wait! What are you…" I tried to move, but ended up coughing up blood.
"See you in a week sweety!"
And she stomped me in my face with full force.
(A week later)
I woke up in a lab tank, again. The green liquid I was submerged in had healed all my wounds. I cursed my mother for being such a harsh and violent woman. Demon I mean…
I could see two female demons arguing in front of my tank. One was tall, had long, dark hair and two big horns sticking out of the sides of her head. She wore a kimono and had massive boobs. The other one was a tiny girl with short black hair and white bunny ears. I recognised them, but I had not bothered to learn their names yet. I knew I hated them both. Especially the tiny bunny-eared one.
I knocked at the tank's glass to gain their attention. The tall girl noticed and smiled at me. She touched the glass and it broke into a million pieces. I landed on my feet and first now realized that I was buck naked. And because my demon form was not complete I still had my…
"Oh my!" The bunny-eared girl gasped. "Is that a human peni-"
I grabbed her head and smashed my knee in her face, breaking her nose.
"It's rude to stare!" I hissed.
The girl fell to the ground, unconscious. My first thought was; That felt good! The second one was; Oh shit!
"Arara! You are quite the specimen, my dear Fulgur!" She cooed. "So daring! I would have done the same, had I not been busy inspecting you!"
Is she hitting on me!?
"She annoyed me, that is all!" I said.
"Fufufufu!" She moved closer. "Mind me taking a closer look at you?" She moved even closer, she was close enough that I could feel her breath on my face.
"That's my boy!"
My mother popped up behind the tall girl with a smile on her face. I stepped back in surprise, making the tall girl pout.
"I knew you could get a hold of that anger! Well done knocking that shit-bunny out! You really are your mother's son!"
Does she have to act so happy about that! When she is like this she really acts like a stereotypical 'proud mom'!
"Mommy, you just interrupted a bonding moment between me and Fulgur!" The tall girl pouted.
"Whaaaa…" My mind could not handle what she just said.
"Do not worry my dear!" Mother said. "When you were away I took Seilah in as my daughter! She is sort of like your younger sister!"
"Only sort of!" Seilah purred.
This girl is giving me all sorts of 'stay the hell away' signs!
"A pleasure to meet you, Seilah. As your sort of brother, I hope we at least can get along!" I held out my hand.
"More than so, my dear Fulgur!" She purred, grabbing my arm and shoving it deep into her cleavage.
Wowowowo!
"Your mother has told me so much about you! I think we will get along perfectly! I really can't wait to get to know you!"
My mission was not going great. But at least I would be able to get along with Seilah and my mother. It was a start. All I had to do now, was getting stronger and keep earning their trust.
