Chapter 28
In another room, Lady Lima slams a map on a table. The map appears to be a map of Chucklehuck Woods. On the southeastern corner of the map has a drawing of a chateau, while the southwestern corner of the map has a drawing of a shell of a snail.
Lady Lima points at the northern part of the map and instructs Prince Peasley, "Much of the forest are narrow clearings, but from this clearing here, head north to enter a path to Bubbles' hideout. There, you will face not Bubbles, but the Chuckola Cola."
"Huh?" Prince Peasley asks in confusion.
Lady Lima explains to the prince, "It was a horrific experience. Bubbles was feeding the Cola with bodies as excess ingredients for the Cola. And then, the Cola came to life when it listened to Bubbles' puns about soda. Years later, I was in the front of the line to be fed by the monstrous Chuckola Cola, but I managed to escape back into the woods, where I stayed for days before coming back here."
Prince Peasley confidently replies, "Don't worry, I'll fight the monstrous Chuckola Cola myself and return with it to cure queen mother. I will arrest Bubbles, too, once I apprehend him."
The Goodwill Ambassador nods and cheers for the prince, "Good luck to you, Prince Peasley."
The prince sets foot on his winged board and proceeds to fly outside as Lady Lima watches in awe.
Prince Peasley flies over the empty town, and then over Bean-bean Fields, where the evacuated townspeople of Bean-bean Town look up to see Prince Peasley fly over them with his winged board. They wonder where the prince would go, so they cried out the prince's name to cheer him. Prince Peasley felt pride, the same kind he has when he was a child, but it was mixed with care for his people this time.
He flies towards the southwestern direction, where Chucklehuck Woods is located. He begins to feel and expresses in thought, "Flying to this direction separates me from Joke's End. I wonder how Jojora and her Tanoomba friend are doing. Queen mother's life is at stake and Jojora insisted on fighting Cackletta in Joke's End. She has to follow my plan, I hope, or else all hope is lost."
The prince has finally arrived at the skies above northern Chucklehuck Woods. He looks for the area where Lady Lima pointed on the map. When he found a large clearing in the woods, Prince Peasley flies towards the clearing. His winged board lowers to the ground of the clearing.
Prince Peasley stands on the ground and grabs his winged board. He proceeds to walk towards the north path blocked from sunlight by the trees of the forest. He continues to walk north as he holds his sword in his left hand.
At the end of the path, there is a tall tree with an opening on its trunk. The prince runs towards the opening, leading him to a passage that ends in a pink-floored room. There, he sees an elderly Beanish with white eyebrows and mustache, thin arms and legs, and wearing a green-colored peanut costume. In front of the elderly Beanish is a barrel filled with a red-colored drink.
"What do idiots drink?" the elderly Beanish mumbles to the barrel in front of him, "So-duh!"
The red-colored drink carbonated and shook inside its barrel in response to the joke.
"What do sodas call their dads?" the elderly Beanish mumbled again, "Pop!"
And again, the red-colored drink carbonated and shook inside its barrel.
Prince Peasley watches for a while before greeting them, "I am Prince Peasley, prince of Bean-bean Kingdom."
"My name is Bubbles," the elderly Beanish casually greeted the prince, "I built Chateau de Chucklehuck…"
The prince begins to tell Bubbles of his crimes, "Bubbles, you are under arrest for hiding away the Chuckola Cola in violation of Queen Bean's proposition!"
Bubbles refused to listen and continued speaking, "Indeed, what you are seeing is the most legendary of soda, the Chuckola Cola. And I am pleased to tell you, this Chuckola Reserve is yours to enjoy!"
"Oh, good," Prince Peasley responds with his sword pointing at Bubbles, "but I want you to join as well, so you will answer to your crimes."
Bubbles laughed hysterically and replied, "I have worked on Chuckola Cola for fifty years. Telling it joke after joke, so it would mature. Until at last, the greatest soda of all would be completed with the…"
"End your rambling, old bean!" the prince impatiently yelled at Bubbles, "I won't be the last person listening to you! Admit defeat and surrender yourself and the barrel of Chuckola Cola!"
But Bubbles scoffs and says to the prince, "Because it is a soda of such high caliber and repute, rude guests meet a fate such as this."
Bubbles proceeded to clap his hands. The lanterns on the walls have switched on, lighting up the dark ceiling. Prince Peasley gasps upon seeing several Beanish trapped inside hanging barrels. The Beanish moan in hunger and desperation.
Prince Peasley growls at Bubbles and takes a defensive position.
Bubbles bowed down, with his one leg kneeled before the prince and says to him, "The great Chuckola Cola is a thing to savor, with the flavor and tang and yum in the belly!"
The prince looks at the barrel filled with Chuckola Cola. He remembers what Lady Lima said to him. Her words have come true when a pair of black eyes are poked out of the top of the barrel.
The Chuckola Cola stretched out into a solid red monster with black eyes expressing challenge. It has a set of sharp teeth made out of its own substance and a pair of differently-shaped arms; its right arm resembles a cannon while its left arm resembles a sword. The red monster still possesses the barrel on the bottom of its body.
Bubbles jumped magnificently and introduces the Chuckola Cola monster to the prince, "Ah, it is wonderful… so wonderful. The great Chuckolator shines! However, that was not the only hidden soda power that my jokes have bred over these fifty years. Now, I insist you fully experience the texture, taste and aroma of the Chuckola Cola! Bon Appetit!"
The Chuckolator aimed its cannon-like arm and fires a Chuckola Cola-like cannonball. Prince Peasley swings it his sword and slices the cannonball in half. The half cannonballs turn into Chuckola Cola fizz upon colliding against the walls.
The prince flies on his winged board and flies fast-forward to the Chuckolator's left. The Chuckolator prepares its sword-like hand, but the prince crouched to avoid a swing. He retaliates by slicing the body of the monster with his sword while in motion. The Chuckolator's wound releases fizz, which seals quickly at the cost of Chuckolator slightly reducing in size.
Chuckolator roared at Prince Peasley and proceeds to smash its sword-like arm against the floor, spilling piles of Chuckola Cola on the floor. The piles Chuckolator created transformed into slug-shaped Chuckola Cola with visible eyes; there are two of hose slugs on the floor facing at the prince.
"Striking the Chuckolator's head is extremely risky," Prince Peasley thought, "and it equalized the challenge on the ground with those Cola slugs. At this rate, it would be risky to attack from above and below. First, I must defeat the slugs."
And so, Prince Peasley lowers his winged board to the floor. He jumps off his winged board as the Cola slugs charged towards the prince, who proceeds to slice the slugs with his swords, turning them into regular piles of Chuckola Cola.
The Chuckolator takes an opportunity to fire a cannonball at Prince Peasley. The prince takes damage and is forcibly sent outside Bubbles' hideout. Chuckolator proceeds to go outside as well, hopping on the ground with its barrel.
Bubbles twirled joyfully to follow them. But he stopped when he saw Prince Peasley's winged board. Bubbles took the winged board in his hands and said to it, "Don't get so board! There's a fight we must watch!"
They are now in an area shaded by the leaves of the trees, the darkened path.
Chuckolator aims its cannon-like arm and launches more Cola cannonballs at Prince Peasley, but he manages to counter them with his sword to defend himself. The Chuckolator growled in tiresome, so it created Cola slugs by pounding its sword against the ground.
The Chuckola Cola slugs went after Prince Peasley while Chuckolator aims its cannon-like arm at the prince to launch cannonballs. But the prince is able to repel the Chuckolator's attempts swiftly. He puts a grin on his face smugly, greatly frustrating Chuckolator.
Chuckolator aims again while the prince is confidently ready to defend. Bubbles suddenly appears in the battle, flying on Prince Peasley's winged board.
He flies by Chuckolator's side and encourages its creation, "Don't be soda pressed."
Chuckolator laughed at Bubbles' joke as its body carbonated and grew bigger. The Chuckolator fired a bigger cannonball this time. Instead of slicing it, Prince Peasley jumped aside in surprise to avoid the cannonball.
"The jokes are making it stronger," Prince Peasley states the obvious and yells at Bubbles, "Get off my board, Bubbles!"
The prince ran towards Bubbles with the intent of reclaiming his ride. The Chuckolator roared and aimed its right arm to fire cannonballs. Prince Peasley dodges the cannonballs by taking turns and jumps. Once the prince gets closer, Chuckolator swishes its left sword-shaped arm. Prince Peasley slices the sword-like arm, dismembering it as the Chuckolator's sword-shaped arm is reduced into a pile of Chuckola Cola.
Prince Peasley jumps towards Bubbles, who jumps off the winged board to avoid. The prince reclaims his sword, jumps up to elevate it and proceeds to turn to the Chuckolator and fly forward towards Chuckolator.
The prince slices the monster repeatedly with his sword as parts of the Chuckolator proceed to fall off and become Chuckola Cola. The Chuckolator continued to shrink until the prince finishes his repeated strikes to leave Chuckolator into a smaller version of itself.
Bubbles reappears and says to the Chuckolator, "What's a tree's favorite soda? Root beer!"
The Chuckolator giggled and carbonated as it grows slightly bigger.
"Cease further jokes, Bubbles!" the prince of Bean-bean Kingdom yelled at Bubbles.
The prince spins his sword round and round before hurling it towards Bubbles. It could kill Bubbles with the sword's blade, but instead, the prince made it precise that his sword's handle would hit Bubbles on the head, knocking him out unconscious.
Chuckolator's mouth carbonated, expressing its desperation while it is in its barrel.
Prince Peasley walks towards Chuckolator after picking his sword up. The prince proceeds to apologize to the Chuckolator, "I'm sorry for what I'm about to do. It is certainly a great battle with you."
The prince lifts his sword up and slices Chuckolator by the neck, decapitating its head as it reduces into insentient piles of Chuckola Cola. The barrel is now filled with ordinary Chuckola Cola.
Bubbles quickly woke up in an instant when Chuckolator is defeated. He cried in sadness and said, "No! But the jokes… t-the puns… the humor I saved up over the last fifty years!"
The elderly Beanish knelt down in depression and defeat.
Prince Peasley punches Bubbles on the head, knocking him out cold again and says, "Do me a favor, don't wake up and make jokes for Chuckolator while I free the victims you captured."
Prince Peasley returns to Bubbles' hideout. There, he jumps up towards the ceiling to slice the ropes, causing the barrels containing kidnapped Beanish to fall down on the floor. The Beanish broke free and ran away.
One of the Beanish thanked Prince Peasley, "We thank you so much, Prince Peasley. We can't wait to try out ordinary Chuckola Cola!"
The prince gasps and tells him, "No, no, no! The Chuckola Cola is to cure your queen!" He runs off to follow the Beanish he freed to warn them, "Queen Bean is infected, and she requires the Cola! No, don't you dare take the slightest sip! We will mass produce it soon, I promise!"
