I do not own Teen Titans or any of the characters. Not sure if I said this before or not, but Cassie and Damian are the same age in this story. Also, I am SO sorry for not updating for so long. I just found this chapter that I thought was deleted and taking forever to rewrite properly in between other stories and life. I'll try to do better.

Break In

"What did you learn?" Nightwing asked as soon as Raven and Beast Boy had finished healing Batman as much as they could.

"Blitz is recruiting," Batman said. "The nuclear physicist had nothing to do with it beyond knowing where specific criminals were being held."

"Who?" Nightwing asked.

"Specifically, he's looking for a criminal known as Hotshot who's missing, a criminal locked up in Jump City penitentiary who goes by the name Blaze, and Doctor Phosphorus, who's currently in Arkham Asylum."

"Why?" Nightwing asked.

"I'm not sure," Batman said. "But we need to stop him getting any of them. Since I can't go, I'm leaving it up to you for now, Nightwing."

Nightwing nodded, turning to the others. "Beast Boy, myself, Damian, and Cassie will head over to Arkham. Starfire, Raven, you two teleport back to Jump City and make sure Blitz doesn't get his hands on Blaze. Once you have Blaze, bring them here so we can question them about what Blitz wants."

Raven nodded just as the computer began to flash. Nightwing began to type on the keyboard and swore.

"Break in at Arkham," Nightwing said. "Time to go!"

Beast Boy picked up his three teammates with his powers, glancing at Raven and smiling before shooting up through the ceiling with the three of them. Then, once they were high in the sky, he turned, flying toward Arkham. As they neared it, Nightwing told him to land on the roof of the main building, Beast Boy nodding and descending onto the building, releasing the other three.

"Okay," Nightwing said, raising a hand to his ear. "Cyborg, we're here. Where's the intruder?"

"Motion detectors are going off in the medical center," Cyborg said. "Can't pinpoint what, and I can't get access to the cameras from here, since they're on a closed circuit."

"Alright," Nightwing said. "We'll head there now."

They all dropped off of the building, quickly running west, finding the Medical Center and climbing to the roof. Robin opened a skylight and they all dropped inside, silently heading through the library-like room they were in. They made their way to a large round room with an open balcony on their level and stairs leading down to the level below them. They silently made their way down the stairs, then opened the next door, finding themselves at a room with a massive greenhouse filled with smoke. In front of the greenhouse stood a blob like the one they had destroyed earlier, except white this time.

"Oh great," Beast Boy hissed. "This thing again."

They all ducked into the shadows, watching as it reached out, melting the door to the greenhouse, the smoke billowing out instantly, thinning and revealing a massive series of tubes and metal drums, almost like oil drums, filling the inside of the greenhouse. The blob walked over to the pile, sticking the hoses in itself and something glowing green began to move through the tubes into the blob, starting to turn it green. However, after a few minutes, the green began to glow a bright, fluorescent, neon green, unlike the darker, grass-color of the last one, which didn't glow.

"It's Venom!" Nightwing gasped quietly. "I don't understand. Why..."

"We need to stop him," Beast Boy said.

"Can you handle this without me?" Nightwing asked.

"Go," Beast Boy nodded. "Make sure Doctor Phosphorus is still here."

Nightwing nodded and turned, disappearing back through the door. Beast Boy turned to Damian and Cassie. "Ranged weapons, preferably electricity, only. Don't forget how hard this thing was to fight before."

Both nodded and Beast Boy stepped out of the shadows, forming a black sphere in front of the creature before expanding it, the sphere blasting the blob out of the greenhouse, also spilling the Venom over the floor. The blob splattered across the wall, melting it before reforming, turning and emitting a high, vibrating roar, its entire buddy vibrating and shaking as it did. Then, its arms snapped up, bullets of its acidic goo rapidly firing out of the thing's hands at the three of them. They all took off, barely managing to avoid the tiny balls of glowing green death. However, after several minutes, Cassie flipped over the blob, firing a pair of metal spikes from the back of her glove, the spikes driving themselves into the back of its shoulder before electricity suddenly arced between them and raced over the creature's body, the creature shrieking in pain. Beat Boy shot forward instantly, dark energy coating his fists before he slammed onto into the creature's head, throwing it backward, only for the electricity to end and its arm to shoot outward, exploding into Beast Boy's chest.

He shot backward, crashing into a wall and cratering it before grabbing a massive machine off to his side with his powers, hurling it at the blob. Its arm shot outward, smashing through the machine just as Damian and Cassie both moved to strike it from behind, only for two arms to flash out, one blasting Damian away while the other wrapped around Cassie's throat, slamming her down before lifting her and beginning to squeeze. Beast Boy hurled a blast of dark energy at the blob, instantly transforming into a cheetah and taking off, even as the blob flipped over the blast. Then, just as it landed, Damian's foot crashed down on its arm in an axe kick, making it release Cassie before he caught her bridal-style and spun so that the blob's fist exploded into his back, rather than hitting her. They crashed into the wall, Damian again taking the impact directly, just before Beast Boy transformed into an Elephant mid-jump, his tusks exploding into the blob and sending it crashing away. Then, Beast Boy shifted into a cheetah again, only for an arm to explode out of the floor, crashing into him and sending him exploding back into the same crater as before. He blasted through the wall into what looked like a morgue, rolling to a stop in the middle of the room. However, the moment he did, he stopped, his head going light instantly, his sense of smell sharpening.

"Well, isn't this...aaahhh...pleasant surprise," a velvety smooth voice hummed from off to the side. "Have you...reconsidered joining mmmmmme? I'm sure Harley...mmmhhhh...wouldn't mind sharing."

Beast Boy's eyes widened as he turned, his eyes widening still further as he stared at Poison Ivy, bared for his eyes to devour, seated on a morgue table opposite Harley, who was equally bare, and whose body Beast Boy's eyes roved over just as hungrily. Both were leaned back on their hands, both were moaning and panting as their hips shifted and rocked, and both had a thick vine extended from the floor into their holes, all four of them, the vines seeming to all be releasing some kind of fluid as a lubricant.

Beast Boy swallowed hard before tearing his eyes away, exhaling hard before holding his breath. He turned back to the hole he'd come through just as Cassie and Damian both sailed through it, exploding into the wall behind Beast Boy, Damian's faces covered in bruises and Cassie's hair matter with blood from being slammed into the ground earlier. Beast Boy felt his instincts starting to slip from the pheromone dust in the air, feeling his instincts starting to get away from him. Good. he could use the Beast this time. He strode forward, shutting down the connection with Raven to avoid her being distracted or influenced by the Beast. Then, he unleashed him. A feral snarl ripped out of him as his body expanded and transformed rapidly. The blob roared, sending out a pair of its now six arms, but the Beast caught them, roaring angrily. Then, it spun, yanking the arms and swinging the creature around. It exploded through the wall, missing Harley and Poison Ivy, but only by a few inches, hitting the vines and yanking them out of the two women, who both shouted in fear, fleeing from the blob, only for Ivy to stop as she spotted the Beast.

The Beast roared, sending a jet of dragon flame at the blob, but it shot tot he side, avoiding the flames, allowing them to ignite the building. Then, it shot forward, slamming its entire body into the Beast's massive torso, its arms shooting around it and squeezing like boa constrictors. The Beast roared, pulling an arm wrapped around his neck away slightly, only for the pieces he couldn't grab to squeeze harder, cutting off his breath. He staggered backward, fighting to rip the blob off, but try as he might it began to squeeze harder and harder. The Beast's left forearm bones both snapped and the Beast roared, a jet of flames shooting downward onto the blob and it shrieked in pain, only to squeeze harder still, cutting off the Beast's flames as well. Then, the Beast lost his temper. It grabbed the blob's arms on the right side, including the one choking him, and ripped them off entirely. All three arms instantly turned to acid and the Beast yowled and roared in agony, staggering away as the blob released him, regrowing its arms. The Beast fell backward, collapsing into a writhing, smoking heap, continuing to roar in pain. Then, the blob's arm crashed into the Beast's side and he exploded through several walls before rolling to a stop outside, shrinking back down into Beast Boy, who lay broken, burned, bloody, and unconscious.

Cassie and Damian both stumbled over to him, both having fled when he transformed, and both still only just barely able to stay on their feet. However, just as they reached Beast Boy, the blob exploded out of the ground, its arms wrapping around their throats and beginning to squeeze. Damian struggled to escape the arm holding his throat, but Cassie didn't. Damian glanced at her, seeing the tears rolling down her face. Then, she reached over, grabbing the arm holding Damian and yanking it, loosening it just enough for him to drop before she turned, a pair of small spikes extending from the back of her left wrist before she drove them into the blob. Electricity screamed over its body instantly, the creature's shriek and Cassie's own scream of agony both fighting the electricity for its spot as the loudest. Then, Cassie's hand fell away as the blob's arm suddenly clenched. She hung limply and Damian roared in rage.

He lunged ducking past an arm and slamming several punches into the blob, kicking it whenever he could without opening himself up to an attack. then, he flipped, the arm the blob grew to punch him shattering the ground but missing him. Then, he twisted, slamming a devastating roundhouse kick into the creature's head, sending it staggering away, dropping Cassie. Damian caught her, checking for a pulse, a warm, exhausted feeling flooded through him as her pulse thumped weakly against his fingertips. Then, the blob's arm wrapped around Damian's ribs, lifting him into the air, only for Beast Boy to suddenly drill his right hand into it so hard his hand actually burst through its body, making it inside before Beast Boy shouted in pain as its acidic interior began to burn his hand. He leapt backward, yanking his hand back out and clutching it to his chest, leaving his gift inside of the blob. It looked down at the yellow grenade with a smiley face drawn on the side. Then the acid finished eating a hole in the side and the grenade burst, the blob swelling and turning brown, dropping Damian, who scrambled away from the blob, grabbing Cassie and fleeing as Beast Boy collapsed, panting and too exhausted to flee. Then, the blob exploded, brown acid and Joker's thick green laughing gas scattering outward, filling the area.

Nightwing swore, flipping and ducking around the creatures' claws, tails, and sprays of acid. As proven by his left shoulder being grazed by one such spray and his arm now hanging uselessly at his side, the acid was absolutely deadly. However, it also had no effect on the creatures themselves. So, here Robin was, wielding a single eskrima stick and barely being able to keep himself alive. And there were dozens of creatures. Doctor Phosphorus was gone, as well. They'd failed.

Suddenly, a creature's tail crashed into his gut and he sailed backward, crashing into the wall and sliding to the ground. The creatures all surrounded him instantly, but before they could kill him, bullets began to rip through the wall around Nightwing, not a single one hitting him, but slaughtering the creatures rapidly. Then, someone smashed through the wall where the bullets had weakened it, extending his arms, a pair of wrist-mounted guns beginning to spray bullets into the few creatures that remained. Within moments, the last one collapsed and the man stopped, turning his white mask toward Nightwing.

"Time to go, kid!" Deadshot said, grabbing him and lifting him to his feet. "This place is going to blow!"

Nightwing struggled to his feet, following Deadshot as they sprinted toward the exit.

Damian watched the gas in stunned silence. He couldn't believe it. Beast Boy had been standing, so he had thought he was okay. But then, he'd just collapsed. he hadn't even fled a single step before the blob exploded. He was gone.

A shriek suddenly echoed behind Damian and he spun, seeing a reptilian creature like apparently served Blitz standing over Cassie, tail raised. He bolted. It wasn't a conscious decision. He just saw the creature, and suddenly he was too afraid to even consider fighting. Instead, his body just acted according to his fear's commands, rather than his rational brain's. So, he bolted. Straight into the path of the tail.

Cassie's eyes fluttered open as something dripped onto her face. Her vision was blurred, but she could see a face. He blinked, and her vision sharpened, yet still her brain couldn't process what she was seeing. Slowly comprehension filtered into her brain as she stared into Damian's emerald eyes. They were watery, but the corners were wrinkled slightly in a smile, his eyebrows dropping slightly on the outsides with relief, even while the insides were pinched and raised in regret. Her eyes flicked downward, seeing the blood running down from the upturned corners of his lips. Then, they flicked down to his chest where the pointed, black, spike of a reptilian tail protruded from his chest in front of where his heart would be, blood running down it in rivulets, dripping onto her own chest, directly over her own heart, the spike only having stopped from impaling the both of them thanks to the katana stabbed through the tail behind Damian, now resting squarely against his back.

The entire inspection lasted the span of two seconds, during which Cassie's own eyes had been slowly widening in shock as a slow breath entered her. Then, she shrieked in dismay and fear, leaping to her feet and grabbing the hilt of the katana, slicing it out one side of the tail before instantly flipping it to reverse grip and slashing the other way, taking the tail off entirely before pivoting and driving the blade through the reptile's head with her right arm while her left caught Damian, keeping him from falling on the tail and forcing it out of his wound, undoing the plug that she needed to be keeping him alive.

"N-Not...t-true!" Cassie sobbed, holding him against her. "B...Boy! Boy!"

Suddenly, a massive raven made out of dark energy enveloped them both before depositing them on the ground beside Raven, who was cradling an unconscious, and horribly wounded, Beast Boy in her lap. She gasped instantly, setting Beast Boy down and taking Damian, setting him on his side and beginning to work to heal his chest. Cassie sobbed but watched closely for any kind of reaction, any sign that he was alive. After a moment, his hand slid toward her and she grabbed it, sobbing even harder. Then, Beast Boy was kneeling beside her, helping Raven heal Damian. After a moment, beast Boy ripped the tail out, both focusing even harder, Beast Boy trembling, as they worked to heal Damian. His blood flowed through the gap in his chest, only to enter the other half of the veins and arteries they should go to, keeping him alive. Then, slowly, his body began to regrow into the hole. The hole was almost six inches wide, but as Cassie watched, it slowly sealed until there was no sign it had ever existed. Not even a scar.

Then, finally, Beast Boy tipped to the side, Raven reaching across Damian to catch him, looking to be about ready to pass out herself. Cassie pulled Damian out of the way and Raven gently pulled Beast Boy into her lap again as Cassie set Damian's head in her own lap, feeling his neck for a pulse, finding one. Tears of relief flooded down her cheeks and she bent forward, pressing her forehead to his as she sobbed happily, her left hand on top of his head and her right holding his cheek.

"He'll be okay," Raven smiled tiredly. "Don't let him go. After this, if you stay by his side, he'll probably fall for you, as long as you stay by his side."

Cassie sat up, swallowing and smiling, glancing at Raven and giving her a grateful smile.

"You're welcome," Raven smiled. "How long have you liked him?"

Cassie blushed slightly, gently stroking Damian's hair. "Met. Pretty."

Raven smiled, nodding. "I see. So you got a crush on him right away, huh? That's cute."

Cassie blushed a little more, but smiled, nodding.

Nightwing landed on the roof of the building beside Deadshot just as the ground lurched violently, throwing him off his feet onto the roof, a wall of heat slamming into him and robbing him of his breath. He spun, staring back at Arkham as Blitz drifted out of the massive sea of smoke and flames that had once been the asylum. Then, after Blitz, three more of the same floating panels Blitz was standing on followed with three people. One was a flaming skeleton, Doctor Phosphorus. The second was a woman with red skin, a purple dress that sat low on her shoulders, was open to her waist in front to give a generous tease of a view of her voluptuous breasts, long, wavy black hair handing to the back of her waist, a dark, metal circlet sitting on her head and sweeping into a point in the front, gold irises, and flames curling off of her hands. The last was a man with messy red hair, a crazed grin, flames flickering from his fingertips, and a bodysuit that was shite on the shoulders and down the arms, as well as the pants, red knee-high boots, red gloves that extended in a flame-like pattern from the wrist on the insides of his arms to just below the elbow on the outsides, a red fireball-like design taking up most of his torso in the front from his thick red belt to the high neck of the suit.

"Holy shit!" the guy with the bodysuit laughed. "That was a hell of a lot stronger than I thought! I guess Mama Blaze really did teach you something after all, huh Mini Blaze?"

"Shut the fuck up!" Blaze, apparently the woman, snapped. "Of course I know what I'm doing! I'm half demon! And soon I'll teach that entitled little cunt that she's not the most powerful half demon alive. But for now, Hotshot, shut the fuck up!"

"Now, children," Blitz said. "You shouldn't argue. After all, if all goes as plans, you won't have to combine your three powers to achieve this kind of destruction soon. Oops. Spoilers. Right, Nightwing?" He grinned directly at Nightwing, the other three taking notice of him and Deadshot for the first time, but when they moved to attack, Blitz waved them off. "We'll be going now. See you soon. Seeing you wearing that, though..." he chuckled. "It makes me excited to get to the grand finale. I cannot wait to see the expression on your face when you and Cha-Beast Boy finally figure out what you're up against. He laughed. "Almost gave another spoiler. Ah, but it will be such fun seeing the look of despair and hopelessness on your faces. It'll be worth everything. But I digress. See you soon, my fine feathered friend."

Deadshot pulled his rifle off of his back and fired at Blitz, only for the bullet to skip off of one of the armor plates on his shoulder as he shrugged, missing Blitz's head by a hair's breadth before the knife neither had noticed Blitz throw slammed into the rifle, shattering the scope and knocking it aside. Then, Blitz turned, leaping into the air and landing on his snake, the other three all doing the same, the snake hissing angrily at Doctor Phosphorus before flying away.

"We need to find the others," Robin said.

Deadshot nodded and they turned, Nightwing using Beast Boy's locator signal to track them before finally reaching a large flat rooftop where Raven was cradling Beast Boy's head in her lap, and Cassie was similarly holding Damian. Just as they arrived, Starfire scooped Nightwing up in a spinning, flying hug.

"Oh Rob...I mean Nightwing!" Starfire said. "I am so glad you are unharmed! When we realized it was a trap, Raven attempted us to teleport to the asylum, but the closest her powers would allow was the edge of the city!"

"Her powers weren't working right?" Nightwing asked.

"No," Starfire said. "She was most worried. And she can fly quite fast."

Nightwing nodded, then sighed, giving her a quick kiss. "We need to get back to the bat cave. Land us by the others."

Starfire nodded and landed with him just as Batman landed off to the side.

"Deadshot," Batman said in greeting. "I'm surprised you kept your word."

"Well, it ain't every day the bat calls to ask a favor," Deadshot said, then stared at the ground. "I just wish I'd been faster. Maybe I could have saved..."

"Harley Quinn is alive," Batman said.

"What!?" Deadshot asked, head snapping up.

"She escaped underground with Poison Ivy, and survived the explosion. I know because in doing so, they accidentally found my Batcave," Batman said.

"Poison Ivy accidentally tunneled into the Batcave?" Nightwing asked.

"Unfortunately," Batman grumbled. "I have them locked up right now. Anyway, thank you again for saving Nightwing for me. As promised, the funds will be transferred to your off-shore accounts. However, this will be a one-time occurrence."

"Understood," Deadshot said. "Please be gentle with Harley. And...give her my love."

"You can give it to her yourself once I have the two of them sedated, and clothed, enough to transport out of my cave," Batman said. "I'll let you know where to pick them up."

Deadshot smiled and nodded. "You're being surprisingly cooperative tonight."

"We have bigger problems than you, your psychotic sometimes girlfriend, and her lesbian fuck toy," Batman said.

"I know," Deadshot said. "Deathstroke hired me to help fight Blitz."

Batman nodded, then turned to Raven. "Get us back to the cave."

Raven nodded, concentrating, then enveloped everyone but Deadshot in her powers, teleporting them all back to the Batcave.
