CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN: BATTLE OF THE DRAGONS, PART 1

"And the battle between Lamia Scale versus Mermaid Heel turned out to be a draw!" Chapati announced. "Even though Lamia Scale's Sherry and Sherria were taken out, along with Mermaid Heel's Millianna and Arana. Lyon and Kagura both fought until time expired!"

"It was good to watch. Moving onto the next event, I overheard the next battle will not have a time limit." Yajima commented. "There's been a petition going around all day. It got over 4000 signatures. No one wants a draw between Sabertooth and Raven's Moon."

"I, for one, don't want a draw between them either! Do you think the Game officials will allow it?" Chapati asked.

"Most likely, I doubt anyone wants a draw." Yajima replied, nodding.

"Well, moving on from that topic, let's take a look at the scoreboard!" Chapati said as the scoreboard appeared with Sabertooth being in first place. "They haven't even started their battle, but Sabertooth is enjoying a healthy lead right now!"

"I wouldn't look down on the Ravens, a win from them will bring them in the lead." Yajima smiled.

"Well, everyone, the Games will take a small intermission to repair the arena for the next battle. Please be patient with us for this time period!" Chapati said.

Casey was in the infirmary, checking on his girlfriend. "You're about to battle, huh?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah. Against Sting and Rogue." Casey replied.

Sakura smiled. "I know you'll win, King of Ice..." Casey chuckled at her using his mage alias.

"Hell yeah I will. I'll win. For you, Princess. And for Raven's Moon." Casey said. Kyle knocked on the door. "Hey, it's almost time." He said.

Casey kissed Sakura as he left the infirmary with Kyle.

Casey and Kyle started walking out to the arena. In the arena, the fans were cheering at the top of their lungs. Flags of Sabertooth and Raven's Moon were waving everywhere. Both of the guilds were watching, tension filling everyone's eyes as the participants entered the arena.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the dream Dragon Slayer battle is only moments away from becoming a reality!" Chapati said as the cheers got louder. "The fight everyone's been waiting for! Dragon Slayers vs Dragon Slayers! Present vs Future! Sabertooth vs Raven's Moon!"

On the side of Sabertooth, Jiemma, who decided to watch this battle in person, was sitting down in his seat. "Make this victory overwhelming. Show them the strength of the guild at top." He said.

On the other side, where Raven's Moon sat, Ailey looked at her children in the arena, who she was proud to have them in her guild. "Just put your heart into it. That's all I have to say." She said, knowing that they could hear her.

"They aren't Natsu-san or Gajeel. But it doesn't matter." Sting informed.

"Yeah." Rogue agreed.

"I got the Lightbulb. You get the shadow bastard." Casey said to Kyle.

"You got it." Kyle agreed to his plan.

Fans were on the edge of their seats as the stare down between the Ravens and the Tigers continued. "Two S-Class wizards against one S-Class and one regular wizard. On paper, it should be an easy win for Sabertooth, yet this seems like the closest match of the Games so far." Chapati whispered into the mic, only causing tension to rise even higher in the silence.

After what seemed like forever, Mato rang the gong loudly. "Let the match begin!" Mato shouted. And thus, the battle of Dragon Slayers began. "Here I go!" Sting said. "Right." Rogue agreed. They headed towards Casey and Kyle, but Casey and Kyle ended up beating them to it as Casey punched Sting and Kyle grabbed onto Rogue's cloak.

While still in the air, Casey kicked Sting down hard onto the ground. The Sabertooth members gave a shocked look while the Raven's Moon members smiled widely.

"White Dragon's Roar!" Sting shouted as he was the first one to use his magic. However, Casey dodged it. Kyle moved out of the way as Sting's attack was coming towards him.

Shadows came from Rogue's hand. "Shadow Dragon's Slash!" He shouted as he headed for Kyle, but he ended up blocking it, leaving Rogue in shock. "Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist!" Kyle shouted, punching Rogue.

"Rogue!" Sting yelled, worried about his partner. Sting gasped as Casey grabbed Rogue by the face, crashing the two Sabertooth Twin Dragons together. Ice came from Casey's hands.

"Ice Dragon's Wing Attack!" Casey shouted as Sting and Rogue were thrown back by streams of ice shards. The audience cheered.

"I'll admit. You guys are tough. Then again, this match would be boring as hell if you weren't." Sting commented.

"Tell me something, did you really defeat your dragons with that so called strong power of yours?" Casey taunted.

"We didn't just defeat them. We killed our dragons. With our bare hands." Sting spat back as he clenched his fist. This pissed Casey and Kyle off even more. Both of them saw their dragons as their parents.

"But didn't you think of them as your parents, too?" Kyle asked.

"That's none of your business. But if you losers wanna see our real Dragon Slaying Magic, I'll be happy to show it to you." Sting said.

"White Drive." Sting said as his body glowed white.

"Shadow Drive." Rogue said as he got covered in shadows.

"Real Dragon Slaying Magic, you say? I call bullshit." Casey muttered. "Ice Drive." He said as his body glowed a light blue. The four Dragon Slayers continued to stare each other down.

"The staring contest continues. You can almost cut the tension with a butter knife! Who will make the first move?" Chapati said.

Also, Casey is the only Third Generation Dragon Slayer in Raven's Moon. Kyle, Aira, and Snow are all First Generation.
