It had been a relatively quiet day at the shop. Alex was sat in the office, going through the filing cabinets and pulling out anything over two years old to put in storage. Max was snuggled on the couch snoozing happily with Grumpy lying on the floor next to him. There were a few cars in the shop and the usual civilian crew were working, the Son's off doing whatever business they were dealing with.

Alex was packing up, getting ready to go home when she heard the Harleys roaring into the lot. She slung her bag over her shoulder, grabbing Max before going out to greet Happy with a smile. Gemma and Clay were hugging over by Lowen, the lawyer, and Tara which made Alex smile a little. Although they were both generally terrible people, she could tell they really loved each other.

Grumpy had run outside the moment he heard the Harleys in the distance, and Alex couldn't help but giggle as she watched his entire back end wiggle as he wagged his tail excitedly. Happy couldn't help but grin and lean down, scratching behind his ear right where he liked it.

"What's a good lookin' guy like you doin' in a place like this?" She smirked as she stood in front of him, baby clutched to her body. Happy smirked and pressed a kiss to the dog's head before he stood and pulled her into his chest.

"Lookin' for my sexy wife, you seen 'er?" He growled in her ear, nipping her ear lobe as he pinched her ass. Alex laughed as she pulled his face to hers, planting a hot kiss on his mouth.

"You're an ass, Lowman" She laughed, handing him Max when he held out his hands. He pressed a gentle kiss to the baby's forehead, cradling him to his chest under his kutte.

"I'm your ass, Mrs. Lowman" He laughed in return, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Alex was about to tug him into the office for a quickie when Jax's bike pulled in followed by a bunch of cars and a large van. Alex paled as soon as she saw the side of the van, the big bold letters staring at her. ATF.

"Hap? What's goin' on?" She mumbled, shuffling closer to him. Grumpy growled as an ATF agent got a little too close after getting out of his car and Alex settled a hand on his head to settle him.

"Good afternoon," a woman with long blonde hair said as she approached Clay, Jax and Gem. "Where's Jimmy O?" She demanded.

"Who's the hot bitch?" Alex mumbled into Happy's ear, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. Happy was tense, one hand on the handlebars of his bike and one holding Max.

"Stahl" He growled out and Alex immediately knew what was going on. She hadn't been approached by the woman, mostly because she had spent all her time either at home or at work, but she knew what she had been doing to terrorize the club. Poor Cherry had been arrested at the supermarket for fuck's sake!

"Jimmy in the trunk of that car we just hid in the garage?" she whispered so quietly it was barely a sound. Happy's head moved imperceptibly in a nod and Alex tensed.

"Give me Max. You're definitely about to be hauled off. I love you, stay safe, get out soon please" Alex mumbled, arms held out for the baby. Happy hesitantly placed a kiss on Max's head before handing the kid to his wife.

Stahl and Clay had exchanged a few words as Alex and Happy had been having their own conversation as they watched intently but didn't listen to the rude agent's words. Clay took a moment to think, closing his eyes and releasing a sigh, before he turned to look at Juice and Tig.

"Get him," Clay said and Gemma looked terrified. Tig and Juice hauled open the garage door, opening the trunk of the car inside as Alex and Happy stepped closer to Clay and Jax.

The moment Alex saw Jimmy O's smug face she was ready to smash it in. His next words were enough to push her over the edge if Happy's hand wasn't on her shoulder to ground her.

"Thank goodness for the American justice system" That stupid Irish accent spoke, tearing the duct tape from his wrists.

Happy squeezed Alex's shoulder three times, his silent way of telling her he loved her, and she calmed down a little. A small growl escaped her throat as she watched everything go down, knowing she couldn't do anything about it.

Stahl started giving Jimmy the usual spiel about his crimes and why he was being arrested and Alex vibrated with anger. Speeding over to the office, she handed Max to Phil with a sad smile and told Grumpy to stay. Alex stormed back to Happy's side in time to hear Clay's words to Stahl.

"How'd you know he was here?" the president asked. Stahl remained quiet and turned to stare at Jax. The look was weird and lasted a little too long.

"Cause your VP made a deal" Stahl stated, waving a folder at Clay. Alex felt the anger surge in her and everyone around her. Jax had ratted?

"SON OF A BITCH!" Jax yelled as he made his way at Stahl, an agent held him back but Alex knew that wasn't Jax's only problem. Gemma tugged Alex away from Happy's side as the older woman watched on in horror. It was like Gemma's perfect world came crashing down around her and Alex felt the same way.

The Son's started arguing and Alex saw Happy's temper flare. He remained quiet as she suspected he would, but she knew he would have some choice words. Gemma tried to insert herself into the argument going on but Alex could only watch silently. An ATF agent grabbed Happy's kutte and began hauling him towards the van but Alex stopped him before he got too far.

"Can I say goodbye to him first?" she asked the agent quietly. He raised an eyebrow, giving her a look but Alex just gave her best bitchy smile.

"Please, he's my husband" Alex pressed, words tense. The agent nodded and removed one of his hands from Happy's shoulders. Alex threw herself at Happy, his arms immediately wrapping around her as her body shook with sobs.

"Fuck. I hate this. You haven't even been out long" Alex was muffled by his chest and her voice was strained with tears but Happy understood her all the same.

"Stop cryin'. You're gettin' my shirt wet, little girl" Happy couldn't help but smile and Alex laughed wetly.

"Sorry" She wiped at her eyes, sniffling "Love ya, Hap. Don't kill Jax"

"Take care of the kid, Al" he nodded, squeezing her body tightly against his three times. Alex stepped away from him only to be met with the smirking face of Agent June Stahl.

"You fuckin' bitch!" She lunged at the agent quickly, fist connecting with her face in a right hook. Stahl pressed a hand to where she had been hit and smiled at Alex.

"I would watch what you do, Mrs. Lowman. You don't want to be arrested for assaulting a federal agent do you?"

"That's not your jurisdiction, ATF Agent Stahl. I don't have any alcohol, tobacco, firearms or explosives on me" Alex grinned as she spat at Stahl's feet before walking back to the office.

"She just call you Mrs. Lowman?" Lyla asked as Alex walked past. She nodded and kept walking, pulling Max from Phil's hands as soon as possible.

"Thanks, Phil. Sorry I keep handin' him off to ya" Alex mumbled, flopping onto the couch beside the curly-haired prospect. Phil smiled at her, nodding.

"He's a good kid. Doesn't cry and doesn't love to pull my beard like Abel" Phil laughed softly, trying to lighten up her mood. Alex couldn't help but smile as she heard her son's praise.

"Listen, I gotta get goin' but Happy asked me to give you this" Phil mumbled, pulling a letter out of his kutte. Alex grinned as she took it, ruffling Phil's hair gently.

With Max snoozing on her lap and Grumpy asleep on her feet, Alex knew she was stuck where she was for a bit. Staring at the envelope, Alex couldn't help but smile at her name written in Happy's handwriting. Big on the front in large letters were 'AL' with a few happy faces surrounding it. His handwriting was generally nicer than a man's typically was, but he had a tendency to write in all uppercases which made Alex smile. Tearing open the envelope, Alex found a letter and a few photos tucked inside.

She looked at the photos first and couldn't help the tears that escaped her. The first photo was one of her on the couch, Max cuddled on her chest asleep and Grumpy lying on her legs, all three sound asleep. The second was one of the two of them that Elena had snapped after their wedding, snuggled on her couch with Max between them.

The third was probably her favourite and when she pulled it out a sob escaped her. Smiling back up at her were her and Happy from their second official date. They had gone out to a diner in Bakersfield which was attached to an arcade that Happy had frequented at a young age. They decided to visit the arcade before dinner, smashing out a few rounds of PACMAN and Space Invaders. Alex had absolutely kicked his ass in air hockey before she pulled him into the photo booth in the corner. The top photo on the strip was of Alex pressing a kiss to Happy's cheek as he glowered at her having dragged him in there. The second photo was of Happy smirking as Alex smiled up at him, just out of the camera her hand had been down his pants and stroking him. The third was of her in his lap laughing, tits exposed as he had pulled down her shirt and his face buried in them. The final photo was the funniest to Alex, her missing from the photo completely as Happy's head was thrown back, mouth ajar in pleasure. The moment the countdown had started for the final photo, Alex had sunk to her knees and buried Happy's cock so far down her throat she bottomed out. Needless to say, they never made it to the diner and didn't even make it back to her place before he was buried in her. The photo was already a few years old and apparently well-loved as it was crumpled and wrinkled around the edges which made Alex smile. She had no clue he even had it, let alone kept it all these years.

Tucking the photos back in the envelope, Alex finally pulled out the letter and began reading.

Al,

I'm so fuckin' sorry this happened. So much shit has gone down with the club that I wasn't able to tell you about. Kozik will fill you in on anything you want to know and Quinn will be down in a few days to help with all the shit. Take care of Grumpy and Max, but I need you to also take care of yourself. I need you to promise me a few things.

Promise me that you'll come visit as often as you can and please bring Max. I know prison isn't the best place for a baby but he's gonna change and grow so much that I want to see as much as I can. I won't be out for his first birthday but I need you to promise that you'll bring him to visit on his birthday.

Promise me that you won't let Max be a demon. With us as parents, the kid will eventually be the world's biggest shit disturber anyways. You don't need to let him become one at 1 year old. Don't coddle him either. He can't be a whiny cry baby or you'll lose it. I refuse to let our kid be clingy.

Promise me that you won't push to go back to work too soon. Work in the office for as long as you need. Money isn't tight for us right now, Ma is covered for meds for the next 6 months. Gemma would let you work in the office forever if you asked, especially if it meant that she got to spend all day with Max and Abel.

Promise me that you'll watch over Kozik. He hasn't slipped recently but with us locked up he might. I need you to keep an eye on him and if he slips, check him into SAMCRO rehab. If you ask Chibs he'll help.

Promise me that you'll check up on Quinn every now and then. He'll never admit it but he worries about you, like, a lot. He'd probably drive across the country non-stop if something happened to you.

Most importantly, promise me that this won't be the final straw. I know how hard it was on you the first time I got locked up. This can't be the reason you leave me. I don't deserve you and I know that, but I can't lose you. Especially not now. You know I don't do mushy and feelings for anyone but you. Fuck, I never even had a girlfriend before you. You're it for me, little girl.

I know this is hard, you're allowed to use the prison clause if you want.

Yours, te amo,

Happy.
