It was a year later, and Josie was two years old. She had wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. And she was still the adorable little baby, but now she was making full sentences, and playing catch (lightly!) with Jack.

Rose, Jack, and Josie were all eating dinner, when Josie said something that caught Jack and Rose off guard. "Mama, I wanna dance," she said confidently, with a smile.

Rose looked at Jack. "You do, darling?" she asked.

"Yes," she said.

"Well, I'll talk to Dada about it, okay?" Rose said.

"Thank you Mama," said Josie. She went back to eating her chicken in her highchair.

Jack could tell Rose wanted to say something to Jack without Josie's attention. She was pretty distracted by her food, but still. "Utilize your voice using an extensive vocabulary," he said with a smile.

"Have I been projecting my suppressed ambition onto our offspring?" Rose smiled. She sounded silly.

"I haven't observed that to be factual," said Jack. "I think our offspring was destined to generate her own ambition. I do not postulate that we depressed any ambition into our offspring."

Rose smiled. "I suppose," she said. "So do you concur that we should permit our offspring to pursue her desire to… waltz?"

"I do concur," said Jack with a smile.

Rose turned to her daughter, who was quietly eating her broccoli. "Josie, why do you want to dance?" she asked.

"It's fun," said Josie with a grin. "I wanna do it!"

"Well, darling, then you can dance."

Josie's whole face lit up. "Really, Mama?" she grinned. "Thank you!"

"Of course, darling." She gave her daughter a kiss.

"I want something else," said Josie.

"What is it?" Jack asked.

"A sister," said Josie.

Rose looked at Jack and was surprised. "W-What?" Rose asked.

"I want a sister," she repeated.

"Maybe one day, Josie. Now finish your dinner, it's almost bedtime." Jack said.

Josie looked up and smiled. "I'm finished." She put her arms up to be lifted out of the chair.

Jack lifted Josie out of the chair and carried her up to her room. Rose followed with them. Josie got into bed and Jack sat next to her. He read her a story and then Jack and Rose said goodnight to her.

Jack and Rose then went to their room. "Well, that was quite a bomb that she dropped, wasn't it?"

"Yes it was," said Rose. "But maybe we should discuss it. When it would be the right time, how many kids we want, et cetera."

"I agree."

"Well?" Rose waited.

"I don't know, I guess we could start trying, if you wanted to?" Jack said.

"I do," said Rose.

"Why do you sound like you're not sure?" Jack asked.

"I'm not really unsure, but when I was pregnant with Josie, I was just so scared. And in so much pain. I don't know if I can do it again."

"Listen, you don't have to if you don't want to," said Jack. "We already have a baby. We're already parents. Or we can adopt."

"I guess so," Rose said, thinking.

Jack squeezed her hand, then held it in his. "But if you do, I know you can do it. You're the most amazing woman in the entire world."

"I want another baby. I want to give you a son, I want to give Josie a sister. And the pros of pregnancy outweigh the cons."

"Well, you realize that brings us to three kids?" Jack smiled.

"Hmmmm… three," said Rose with a smile. "That sounds like a good number."

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Jack asked.

Rose kissed Jack. "More than sure. I'm positive." She kissed him and slid her hands down to his hips and played with the waistband of his pants.

"Now?" Jack asked, caught off guard.

Rose smiled. "I'm ready. Are you?"

"I am," said Jack. He kissed her again, and they made love. They had finished, and Jack wrapped his arms around Rose's waist, pulling her close. He kissed her cheek. "You are my entire life. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You're the most amazing thing in my life. I love you more than anything."
