Author's note: So this chapter is super short. I've had it written for a long time and for that. I'm sorry, I've been busy, and also: I'm not sure how to write this. I want to wait for the new season to come out before I do. I have ideas for Post clone wars, and for the Rebels era, but it seems sloppy to write those parts and then go back to write the new clone wars season. So for now, the story is on a semi-hiatus until the new season is released, but don't worry! I'm working on what happens after now so hopefully, I can upload a lot once the new season is out.
Until then: I've been busy writing other things, I started writing various AU drabbles, and I'll be uploading those more now that I don't feel quite as guilty.
Thank you for reading and supporting me with your comments. I cannot wait for the new season to arrive so I can write this in a logical order.

Also, I would encourage anyone reading this story on FanFic to find me on Archive of Our Own as I'm updating this more there with regular frequency, and I have more stories, and a few companion fics there as well. Username: AhsokaFreakingTano
But I will be doing a binge upload here

Rex started to finalize his list, Bo Katan was there, along with a few of her Nite Owls, so he and Ahsoka were making a point to introduce her to the men around the barracks that'd be going with.

They were in the gym when there was a large clash causing them all to turn, Echo had lost control again, throwing equipment at anyone who came close to him.

"This seems a bit worse than before…" Ahsoka commented and Rex nodded staring at his brother while calling Kix, giving him only a few words for the other to understand and get here.

"You're gonna try that distraction thing again?" Rex asked and Ahsoka nodded quickly taking off her hip and butt plates and giving rex her sabers.

"What is she doing?" Bo Katan asked

"She's gonna work her way into his mind with the force, try and calm him down a bit while we wait for Kix with a sedative."

"Echo…" she cooed at eyes, wild and terror-filled focused on her.

"Don't come near me."

"It's okay…" she crouched low, moving slowly

"I said don't!" he screamed lunging slightly, she didn't move, didn't even flinch.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I never hurt you Echo."
"I'm not some experiment," he growled low

"No you're not, you're my Vod, my aliit," she cooed at him, moving closer. She didn't acknowledge Kix's arrival, Echo let out another growl, another short lunch, she stayed firm.

"No one's going to hurt you."

"Liar!"

"I promise I'm not…" she worked her way into his head "Let me help you Echo, let me take care of you."

"Get. Out. Of. My. Head." his voice was low, venom-filled but she didn't flinch, or move, or stop. She didn't have enough control of him to sedate him yet.

"Let me take away your pain." she cooed softly, one hand gently cupping his face. His eyes fluttered closed, his position relaxed slightly.

"That's it…"

"H-help…" it was a broken whisper of a plea

"I will, I'll help you, I promise." she had the syringe, using the force to numb his reactions she placed the needle into his thigh, his eyes snapped open wild again he lunged, fully lunged at her, tackling her onto her back. Ahsoka felt the needle snap off before she could inject him and tossed the useless syringe. His hand came to wrap around her neck like a vice

"Stand down!" she commanded, though it was more at the small group of clones raising their blasters than the one gripping her neck, she tried gripping his hand, his other probe arm whacked her hand away.

Rex and a few of the others were trying to aim their blasters on stun, but with how sporadic he was thrashing there was too much of a risk of hitting Ahsoka, and especially now with head trauma: Kix was urging them not to. If they hit her on accident instead of him: she'd be defenseless and completely helpless while they subdued him.

Soon all his weight was pushing against her throat and she quickly had the room spinning. He used her neck as an anchor point to slam her head against the durasteel floor, she saw stars.

She could make out a muffled conversation about not being able to stun him, they could hit her, and now, Kix was worried about her being stunned with head trauma. She clawed at his arm his other coming to whack into her hand again, her other hand finding his face pushing the palm of her hand against chin with her nails digging into the skin right below his eyes into the socket, it wouldn't damage his eyes but it'd bruise and hurt like hell, it got him to stop slamming her head into the floor, his grip lessened and she used the last bit of energy she had to put the same hand on the side of his face and use the same mind trick Anakin would use on her at times to make him sleep. His body relaxed after her force push collapsing onto her before she pushed him off. Air rushing back into her lungs at a dizzying rate.
"Ahsoka!" Rex was at her side, someone was binding Echo, Kix giving him a proper sedative.

She slowly sat up and instantly regretted the movement, the entire room was spinning, her hand was on Rex's forearm like a vice to steady herself but it didn't help.

"I don't feel well…" she noted he pulled over one of the smaller trash bins from the equipment section and she promptly emptied the contents of her stomach into it, a few times.

"General Tano," Kix was walking "we're gonna get a gurney and take you to the medbay, you've got some bleeding, I'm pretty worried about swelling right now, I may put you in the bacta tanks for a day, I can't have this getting worse," he said pressing something cold against the back of her head making her wince, it burned, but she didn't fight it. She was trying to stay awake her eyes fluttering closed for long moments.

"Ahsoka," Rex's voice was grounding her in reality, Bo Katan had crouched supporting her weight from behind and the cold pack to her head. "Try staying awake just a little longer…"

"I'll… try…" her eyes fluttered back open again but everything was out of focus. She hissed, registering the cold against her skin.

"You'll be okay," Bo told her even though the skin beneath the cold pack was already starting to discolor. Soon the medic team was there, loading her onto a gurney and taking her to the med bay. Talking to her and asking questions the whole way there. She stayed conscious even if her eyes closed over for long periods.
The rest of the day was a blur, IV's with various medications: anti-inflammatories, pain killers, and fluids. Kix took some scans to check for any damage or broken, well anything. Luckily nothing was broken, some bruising, and soreness, but no bacta tank either. She was discharged that night and while still in a lot of pain, she was feeling better.

It was another week before Ahsoka saw Bo Katan again, she woman swapping the durasteel plates out for Beskar, refitting them to match, she left them bare for Ahsoka to paint, which she did with some of the shinies, mixing a darker blue than the standard 501st's.

There was small planning, talking, working out things, going over numbers and the like. They had a date they'd be leaving, had a list of the troopers, now it was just a waiting game to get the proper ships and supplies oriented.
