Chapter 29

While Prince Peasley was finding the long-lost Chuckola Cola to cure his mother, the queen from rampaging and dying from the infectious Bellech Worm, the prince's lover continued to fly towards Joke's End with her friend, a Tanoomba who befriended her a few days ago.

As they fly over the sea, the winds blow Jojora and her Tanoomba to comfort their flight, but the Tanoomba started to grow tired of flapping its tail.

The snow witch noticed the Tanoomba's exhaustion and said to it, "We can rest if you want."

They fly down towards a sandly island. The Tanoomba landed first and sat down on the sand. Jojora remains levitated above ground and floated by the Tanoomba's side.

Another Tanoomba also landed on the sandy ground. Jojora's Tanoomba widened its eyes upon seeing its fellow Tanoomba, as does the second Tanoomba. Jojora watches the pair of Tanoombas run towards each other and whack their tails against the other's, and then they just frolicked happily in reunion.

"Is this your friend?" Jojora asks, to which her befriended Tanoomba responds joyfully with a nod. The snow witch giggles and introduces herself to the other Tanoomba, "I'm Jojora. Nice to meet you."

The second Tanoomba greeted back with happy hops and a blush on its face. Jojora's Tanoomba proceeds to communicate to its fellow Tanoomba through grunting sounds. Its fellow Tanoomba responds with nods and jumps.

Jojora's Tanoomba looked at the snow witch and pointed at its fellow Tanoomba with its foot.

Jojora assumes what her Tanoomba is trying to say, "Your friend wants to come with me?"

The Tanoombas nodded in confirmation.

But the snow witch shakes her head and expresses her worries to the second Tanoomba, "Oh, no, you might get hurt. You see, we are going to trick a really evil witch. Your friend will be okay."

However, the second Tanoomba approached Jojora and snuggled itself against Jojora's leg.

Jojora responds with a giggle and sigh before agreeing, "Okay, you can come, too, if you insist."

The two Tanoombas jumped joyfully into the air and flapped their big tails to remain in mid-air. Jojora is pleased to see the pair of Tanoombas happy as they continue their journey back to Joke's End.

From the air, the three fliers begin to see the frozen sea as Jojora suspects that they are near to destination. The icy mists in front of them clear to reveal the icy palace of Joke's End. The Tanoombas shiver in the coldness of Joke's End, but they remain determined and continued.

Jojora leads the Tanoombas to the entrance of Joke's End. When the Tanoombas landed their feet on the icy floor, they shivered even more. So, the snow witch carries the two Tanoombas inside the palace. She passes through many rooms, avoiding every creature that lives in Joke's End.

An Ice Snifit jumped in and surprised the trio. The Ice Snifit shot a chunk of ice at them. Jojora's Tanoomba spun its tail and deflected the chunk of ice back at the Ice Snifit, knocking it off their path as Jojora continues.

After a series of halls and rooms, they finally arrive in Jojora's room. She places the Tanoombas near the burning pedestals, where the pair could find warmth inside the icy palace of Joke's End.

The snow witch sits on a chair by her table in the room. She places her scepter on the table and looks at the Tanoombas. She sighs in worry and proceeds to think to herself, "Maybe I shouldn't have involved the other Tanoomba in this, but it insisted. I have to beat Cackletta rather than stall or trick her. I have the upper ground in this place. I can't just freeze her in a block of ice."

Jojora whistles at the Tanoomba and tells them, "I'm gonna head to the balcony. You two stay here and call me if a bad person comes in."

The pair of Tanoombas make grunt noises to comply before comforting themselves near the fire from the burning pedestals. Jojora picks up her scepter from the table before heading to the balcony, where she finds its floors covered in snow. The snow witch makes a warm smile, remembering good times she had when she wasn't alone before Prince Peasley came.

She lies down on the snow comfortably. And then, she gets up only a moment later to build snowmen. Jojora hums while doing it as she packs snow to shape them into a snowman. She builds four in few minutes and flies happily around them.

"My friends!" Jojora joyfully talks to her own snowmen, "Ah, you remind me of my friends, the ones who took me in! I wish you could see Prince Peasley. He's so handsome and charmy and warm..." and then, she figures something out, "Wait, you can be my friends!"

The snow witch brings her scepter out and raises it in the air. The jewel of the scepter glows blue in color. Each of the snowmen gave a light glow. They all produce a pair of eyes and a mouth on each of their faces. The snowmen, made entirely out of snow with twin tails hairstyle, started to walk. They roared in unison.

Jojora giggles and says to her army of four snowmen, "I created you from snow and rose you with ice magic! So, you serve me to protect me and my Tanoomba friends from any harm!"

The snowmen roared in compliance as they surround Jojora as she enters back into the ice palace. As they enter Jojora's room, the Tanoombas acknowledge the presence of the snowmen in fear, but Jojora calms them down by introducing the snowmen to the Tanoombas, "Don't worry, I created them. What do you think? Meet Chucklissa, Oholina, Hoohoolia and Teeheena!"

The Tanoombas yipped to greet the snowmen, who waved their muscular arms to greet them back.

Jojora discusses to her allies, "All right, listen up. Cackletta, a really uncool Beanish witch, is coming to get me. We'll beat the heck out of that witch with everything we got! If she beats all of us, one Tanoomba will disguise as me. And then, let the Beanish witch take the Tanoomba that looks like me away. We shouldn't let her capture me, got it? Millions of lives will be endangered when... whatever Cackletta wants with the Beanstar. Seriously, why?"

Jojora's snowmen hit their own fists in compliance, and then they separated to take separate positions.

The snow witch proceeds to tell the Tanoombas, "Okay, one of you will fight with me while the other one hides. The other Tanoomba should transform into me when the Beanish witch is about to win, got it?"

The two Tanoombas looked at each other. They both cover themselves in white clouds. When they cleared, both of the Tanoombas have transformed into Jojora. One Tanoomba pointed its finger at the other transformed Tanoomba and communicated with grunt noises in Jojora's voice, but the other Tanoomba expresses disagreement and proceeds to imitate its fellow Tanoomba.

Jojora stutters in confusion and asks, "W-Which one of you will... stand-in for m-me...?"

The transformed Tanoombas pointed at each other. But the Tanoombas proceed to argue and fight in Jojora's appearance. They punched, scratched and kicked each other in the fight.

Jojora becomes irritated and yells at them, "Stop!"

The pair of Tanoombas stopped, covered themselves in clouds produced from the leaves on top of their heads and reverted back to their original forms.

The snow witch places her hands on her waist and scolds them, "We're supposed to work together! And we're supposed to fight Cackletta, not each other!" she lifts one Tanoomba up and tells it, "You will fight with me," and tells the other Tanoomba, "and you will hide and disguise as me, okay?"

The Tanoomba assigned to transform into Jojora nodded as it ran east to an area that leads to the balcony, where Jojora built her snowmen. Jojora looks at her Tanoomba as they proceed to take a position in one of the rooms of the icy palace.

While Prince Peasley is fighting for the Chuckola Cola in Chucklehuck Woods, a swarm of bats appeared from little dark holes in front of the icy palace of Joke's End. After every bat is transported to Joke's End, the ugly green bats converged and released purple clouds. Cackletta reveals herself and begins to shiver in the coldness of the place.

She grumbles angrily, "I can't believe that snow witch came here. But I came without worry, for I have recharged myself to even the odds. Once I get this girl and awaken the Beanstar, I will use it to rule Bean-bean Kingdom... and then, every land in this planet!"

The Beanish witch cackles evilly. Her laughs from the outside echoed the halls of Joke's End. Jojora gasps upon hearing Cackletta's laugh as she and her accompanying Tanoomba hide behind an icy pillar.

Cackletta enters the icy palace from the entrance. Glurps suddenly appear and confront the Beanish witch. They growled and opened their mouths to charge poisonous gases. Cackletta cackles and launches balls of fire from her hands. The fireballs easily melt the Glurps into normal piles of gelatinous substances.

The Beanish witch snickered and continued to traverse through the rooms of the icy palace. Upon entering the next room, Cackletta is encountered by Clumphs, who came charging at her whilst waving their clubs. The prehistoric Beanish species pounded their clubs against the floor, but Cackletta raises her arms to open up dark holes on the floor. The clubs fell down accidentally, clumsily disarming the Clumphs.

Ice Snifits appeared as reinforcements, showing up from a room by the west side of the area. They aimed the nozzles on their faces at Cackletta and spat out chunks of ice. Cackletta retaliates by raising her left arm up as a series of lightning bolts fell from above to destroy the chunks of ice at ease one-by-one.

Afterwards, the Beanish witch flicks her finger to magically summon a stream of fire. The fire is shot at the heads of Cackletta's opponents. Once the stream of fire has dissipated, the toupees of the Clumphs and the parkas of Ice Snifits have burnt away. Out of embarrassment, the bald Clumphs ran away from Cackletta. As for the Ice Snifits, without their parkas, they appear to have bodies made out of gray-colored fabric; they have no hands but visible feet. Like the Clumphs, the Ice Snifits panicked and ran away out of embarrassment.

Cackletta cackles and says to herself, "Getting to that snow witch will be a piece of bean cake!" she starts calling out to Jojora with a sweetening yet deceptive tone, "Oh, hello? I'm a friend, so please come out."

"No, you're not, you ugly green hag!" Jojora's voice echoed inside Joke's End, followed by giggles and laughter.

Cackletta feels mocked, but keeps her cool since they have not been in conflict just yet. Cackletta covers herself with her robe as she releases purple clouds to transform into a swarm of ugly green bats. They proceed to split up to search in multiple rooms of Joke's End.

One of the ugly green bats entered a room with nowhere to go. It is about to leave the room, but it caught sight of a figure hiding behind a translucent ice wall. The bat curiously flew over the wall to see a giant snowman with twin tails hairstyle. The snowman looked up with its widened little eyes and pounded the bat against the wall with its snow-packed fist.

The bat chirped at the snowman and spat out a ball of fire. While it hits the snowman, it appeared unfazed because of its snow-packed body is very well packed. The snowman retaliates by pounding the bat with its fist through the wall, causing a hole to open on the wall. The bat takes a severely amount of damage and flies away through the hole, flapping outside and landed on an ice raft. The ugly green bat looked up the hole to see the snowman; the bat growled at the snowman, who walked away.

Back inside Joke's End, from the same room Cackletta transformed into a swarm of bats, one of the ugly green bats flew upwards and entered a door. The bat finds itself in a room with a loop track that divides the room; the track has cylindrical machinery with metallic saw blades. Many of these machineries roll in a set direction in the track and could even roll while upside-down, the bottom top of the track. These machineries are called Spike Bars.

The ugly green bat simply flown through the Spike Bars, and then entered the next area, where it is practically the same as the previous room, so the bat passed through the area again easily. The next room has a track of Spike Bars leading to a path on the other side of the area. The ugly green bat once again flaps with black wings to fly over the Spike Bars to get to the other side.

The bat enters through the southwest path, where it is led to an area with one more track of Spike Bars.

The ugly green bat could see someone sitting on top of a large ice block past the track of Spike Bars. So, it flied through the track and confronted the being sitting on the large ice block.

The bat hissed at the being and recognized her. It spoke through a pitchy Cackletta voice, "I have finally found you, Jojora!"

Jojora sighs in boredom and replies, "Oh, yes, you've found me. You're the second most stubborn person to come here. Just give up and go home before I go nuts and lose my mind, Cackletta."

The bat screeched inside the room. The rest of the ugly green bats scattered in Joke's End heard the sonic screech and proceeded to fly to the source. Outside, there is a bat weakened and sitting on an icy raft; it did hear the screech, but it decided to rest on the icy raft.

Most of the ugly green bats converged to transform back into Cackletta. The Beanish witch grunted when it noticed a lack of power inside her.

Jojora giggles and mockingly assumes, "What's wrong? It's like you didn't finish your juice."

Cackletta groaned upon realizing in mind, "One of my bats haven't returned! Thus, I won't be able to use my fiery powers against Jojora. As long as the real bat is in me, my life and my powers remain."

The Beanish witch admitted to the snow witch, "All right, now I am weakened, but still, expect me to fight for your life."

Jojora asks Cackletta, "Why do you want me so bad?"

"Your pure voice will awaken the Beanstar," Cackletta answered, "and with it, I will wish to grasp this world in my hands, so I will be known to be the most powerful being in the world!"

"Pure?" the snow witch questioned in confusion, "This is what it's about? Peasley didn't specify me as pure at all... wait, he did. How am I pure anyway?"

Before Jojora could answer, she bought enough time for her Tanoomba to appear from behind and whack its tail against Cackletta's head. The Beanish witch growled in frustration and opens up a dark hole to suck in the Tanoomba before closing. After a few seconds, the dark hole opened up again and spat out the Tanoomba.

The snow witch checks on her Tanoomba in concern, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, it is... for now," Cackletta answered for Jojora, "your Tanoomba slave experienced a curse inside the dark hole I opened up for it. The curse caused its body to become heavier, so its flying abilities will take serious effort," and then, she cackled menacingly before transforming into a swarm of ugly green bats.

Jojora groaned and brought her scepter out and waved it, summoning a blizzard to blow the swarm of bats away, but the pink eyes of the bats dazzled, opening up smaller holes behind them as they are blown away.

The ugly green bats reappeared from behind and each of them rammed against Jojora, but they are knocked out instantly because of Jojora's hard skin. With the bats scattered unconscious on the floor, one of Jojora's snowman carries the heavy Tanoomba as they and Jojora escape from the area to regroup in another area.

The ugly green bats quickly regained consciousness and woke up with seriously wide-opened pink eyes. They flapped their black wings and fly to find and chase Jojora and her allies.

Jojora, her Tanoomba and four of her living snowmen are outside on the east of the twin bridges of Joke's End. The cold wind from the altitude refreshes Jojora and her snowmen, but not the Tanoomba, who proceeded to the next area by the north first. The snow witch and her snowmen catch up with the Tanoomba.

After a few rooms, they arrive on a grate floor with unlit candles on each corner. Between the grate floor and an ice path leading north is a gap that leads to a pit.

Outside, the tired bat took a few breaths before flapping its wings to re-enter Joke's End. Upon re-entering, it met its fellow bats, who hissed at it for its absence. Their argument ended quickly to get back to mission. They fly outside to reach the outside staircases. They fly to one of the highest staircases before purple smoke covers them to transform back into the infamous Beanish witch.

Back in the room with candles, Jojora and her friends fly past the gap and head towards the next door by the northwest wall of the room. Cackletta surprisingly emerges from the northeast entry of the room and flicks her fingers to release a stream of fire at her opponents.

All four snowmen take serious amounts of damage when they stood in front to shield Jojora and her Tanoomba from the stream of fire. The Tanoomba yapped angrily. Jojora understands, responds with a nod and withdraws her scepter to recover her snowmen, making them bigger as one of the snowmen walked towards Cackletta, bravely taking damage from the continuous stream of fire but at the same time being healed by its creator.

Cackletta shrieked and jumped away from the snowman's punch attack. The Beanish witch blocks the northwest door of the area and continues to release a stream of fire at the snowman. When the snowman started to walk towards her, Cackletta realizes that her fire attacks will lead to no avail, so she stopped and took a calm breath. The snowman continued to walk towards Cackletta, with a fist prepared for the witch.

Cackletta suddenly becomes large in size. Her eyes glow red as she shows her jagged teeth. Lightning bolts crash around the Beanish witch, displaying her intimidation towards her opponents. Under Cackletta, dark holes spawn and move under her opponents. The snowman slowly pursuing Cackletta falls down the dark hole.

"This way!" Jojora points at the southeast exit to the outside as she and her allies escape.

They are on top of a staircase outside the halls of Joke's End. Jojora creates a plan and tells her allies, "Tanoomba and Oholina, go down the stairs and wait for me! Hoohoolia and Teeheena, stay on the floor!"

The Tanoomba and the snowman by the name Oholina followed Jojora's orders to walk downstairs. The other two snowmen backed away by the ledge while Jojora flies in midair above and behind her two snowmen. Jojora waves her scepter; its core glows as pointed ice spikes revolve around the snow witch.

Cackletta, now in normal size, appears with one large fireball above her head. She launches it at Jojora's snowmen. Jojora groans and magically sends the revolving ice spikes flying straight towards Cackletta. The Beanish witch summoned a dark hole in front of her to transport the flying ice spikes away. As for the large fireball, the snow witch responds by creating a large pillar of ice to block the large fireball. The fireball is destroyed, so is the pillar of ice.

One of the snowmen came charging at Cackletta slowly while walking up the stairs slowly. Jojora waves her scepter, causing the other snowman to float. The snow witch proceeds to magically cover the snowman in a giant snowball while Cackletta hurls fireballs and lightning strikes against the first snowman. Eventually, Jojora launched the giant snowball-covered snowman flying towards Cackletta. The Beanish witch is knocked back inside as the snowball covering the snowman breaks into piles of snow.

Afterwards, Jojora and her two snowmen caught up with the other snowman and her Tanoomba. The snow witch giggles to see them all, but she is saddened that the snowman by the name Chucklissa was defeated by Cackletta.

A dark hole moves towards Jojora and her allies. They notice and prepare to defend, but they notice that the dark hole has split into three. Out came three of the Beanish witches.

They cackled and quizzed their opponents, "Which is the real me? Do you idiots know?"

Jojora points at Cackletta, gesturing her three snowmen to attack all three witches to determine which of them is the real Cackletta. But the three witches jumped away before the snowmen could get their hands on them. Cackletta, all three of them, launched three different attacks: fireballs, lightning bolts and a mixture of both that makes up the average total.

The three remaining snowmen resisted the attacks. Jojora's Tanoomba flew towards one of the three Beanish witches and hits with its tail, but the Cackletta it hit transforms into a small swarm of bats. Each half of the swarm merged themselves to the remaining two Beanish witches.

One Cackletta opened a dark hole above one of the snowmen. Chucklissa fell on Oholina, collapsing both of them into nothing but snow. Jojora gasps in horror as the two Beanish witches cackle victoriously.

The remaining two snowmen managed to corner one Cackletta and pound her, but the damaged witch turned into an ugly swarm of bats before merging with the last Cackletta.

"We have to do Peasley's plan," the snow witch whispers to her heavy Tanoomba as they proceed to run away.

Cackletta sees Jojora and her Tanoomba escaping away from the battle. The Beanish witch flicks her finger, casting a fiery vortex around the last two snowmen. The two snowmen begin to melt as Cackletta grins at their useless lives.

The Beanish witch proceeds to walk forward to where Jojora and her Tanoomba are heading off to.

Jojora and her heavy Tanoomba enter a room with an unlit fireplace built on the north wall, where they meet the second Tanoomba disguised as Jojora turns around to see the real Jojora and her Tanoomba.

The snow witch tells the Tanoombas, "Take your places, everybody!"

The Tanoomba disguised as Jojora stands in the center of the room while the real Jojora hides inside the fireplace while her Tanoomba hides behind a pillar.

As the Beanish witch arrives in the room where Jojora is, or so it seems, Cackletta chuckles and gloats to her, "Well, well, nowhere to go, huh? Come with me. Your defenses are futile to me, especially yourself!"

Cackletta strikes a lightning bolt at the Jojora before her. The disguise is removed, unmasking it to be a Tanoomba. The Beanish witch launches another lightning bolt, ensuring its defeat as it lies down unconscious.

Behind the pillar inside the room, Jojora gasps and tries to run away, but Cackletta snickered at her foolishness and fires a ball of fire at Jojora, causing her to fall on the floor. Cackletta summons a rainfall of fireballs falling down on Jojora as the room heats up and the structures start to produce tiny cracks.

The Beanish witch ceased the rainfall of fireballs upon seeing Jojora unconscious and defeated. Cackletta cackled and grabbed Jojora by the leg as a dark hole opens under them.

Cackletta boasts at the captured Jojora, "Even with all your strength and power inside your own territory, you cannot defeat me, the great Cackletta!"

The dark hole closes. The creatures of Joke's End enter the room where Cackletta captured the snow witch. They look down in fear. The Glurps dissolve a little in sadness, the Clumphs held their clubs, feeling a developed fear for the first time, and the Ice Snifits shiver without hope. They all start to cry out of guilt before leaving the room to prepare for the worst to come.

A witness from the outside has witnessed the last second of the scene when he arrived at Joke's End. His wings clinging on the outside walls of the icy palace and his eyes peered through a window.

He flapped his great green wings. The creature who witnessed at the last second is Blablanadon, the yellow-scaled pterosaur creature of Bean-bean Kingdom.

Blablanadon flies off as he expresses his fear in thought, "Prince Peasley had the thought of sending me here before he left for Chucklehuck Woods to find the Chuckola Cola for the queen, but I failed his word to protect this girl on time. It is too late. Once Cackletta forces the girl to speak her voice in front of the Beanstar, there are two worst case scenarios: she is not the one and the Beanstar will explode and kill Cackletta for good but also kill the girl, or the voice actually works and the Beanstar awakens. With it awakened, Cackletta holds the legendary near-omnipotent relic in Bean-bean Kingdom, if words about the Beanstar were correct. Worse yet, if we fail to stop Cackletta, my ignorant and stubborn reputation will be destroyed."

The cold climate around Joke's End has bothered Blablanadon since his arrival until he left for warmth. The yellow pterosaur looked down at the ocean, seeing the oceanic creatures under the water basking in fear of awaiting their fates to be happened above water.

Blablanadon looked up as he flies, seeing a large thundercloud shaped like the face of the infamous Cackletta shrouding the skies above Bean-bean Kingdom. The kingdom has darkened. Fears have been realized by those who inhabit the kingdom, even to those with little minds with barbaric purposes.

Blablanadon sees a vortex of dark clouds spiraling above Woohoo Hooniversity. The yellow pterosaur's eyes widen in suspicion that the vortex is forming the Cackletta-shaped thundercloud, so he sets his destination to Bean-bean Castle, where the last glimmer of hope can be found.
