The gang is sitting at the dinner table enjoying their meals that Grandeeney and Layla have cooked. "Okay guys, we can have a movie night later so pick a movie and I'll order us pizza." Silver announces. Everyone at the table eyed him.
"Why are you going to order pizza? We are eating dinner right now." Grandeeney mentions, "Dinner that your girlfriend and I cooked, may I add."
Silver clears his throat, "I know and this dinner is mighty delicious, thank you for this blessing. But, you must know that some of us will get late-night hungry and what's better than eating pizza as a late-night snack."
"YAY!" Ezekiel and Asuka cheered. They both began to wiggle around in their seats doing a happy dance. "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" They chanted while raising their forks in the air. Grandeeney glares at them, "Eat." They immediately stopped cheering and resumed eating their dinner. Bisca chuckled at the duo.
Grandeeney puts down her fork and looked Silver in the eye, "Listen here, sir. We are not going to order pizza. I spent a good amount of time cooking the majority of meals on this table to make sure my guests are satisfied and full."
"I helped too." Layla pouts to herself.
"Yes, Yes you did sweetie. I'm proud of you." Grandeeney quickly acknowledges Layla and proceeds to make her point, "Look you made her sad so don't go ordering pizza. If the kids are still snacky then they can snack on whatever is in the pantry."
Everyone looked between Grandeeney and Silver, the awkward tension in the atmosphere is too real. Natsu coughs trying to break the tension but it utterly failed. The sound of the cough got sucked into the void of silence that has surrounded the dining room. The teens eye each other, signaling that one of them should break the ice. After a short minute of their eyes darting between each other like crazy, all of them except one pair landed on Grey. His eyes widen and a look of refusal appeared on his face. The rest of them glared at him to do it, he looks at directly at Juvia for help and she blows him a kiss and mouths 'Goodluck'.
He eyes each of them in disbelief and glares at Natsu and Gajeel because they blew a kiss and winked at him making the girls giggle quietly. Without them realizing it, the adults' attention was on them.
The doorbell rings, Silver goes over to answer the door, "Pizza is here!" Everyone slowly turns their attention to Grandeeney with widening eyes. The aura of doom circulated the room. Grandeeney stood silent until Silver opens the door letting the pizza guy inside. Then out of nowhere, Grandeeney began laughing loudly. The children eyed her weirdly. Igneel smells the air, his facial expression becoming serious. "This smell... it's a smelly smell... the smell of... pineapple on pizza!" His facial expression changed from serious to shock to betrayal in a matter of seconds as he looks at his beloved wife who is still cracking up. Silver pays the pizza guy and brings the pizza box to the table, opening it and revealing pineapple pizza.
"You... You planned this with him didn't you!" He accuses her. The accused lady stands up and smiles sweetly, "Honey, I love pineapple on pizza." Igneel felt like someone stabbed him in the back, "No, no! This can't be true! Why have you never told me this?" Igneel points at Silver and squeaks "and you planned this with him!?" Grandeeney shakes her head slowly, "No..." She gestures to the adults around her, "... I planned it with them."
Igneel glares at all of them and hisses, "How dare you guys..."
The children glance at each other not knowing what on earth is going on. In the midst of the confusing chaos, Gajeel stands up suddenly before Igneel had a chance to continue his complaints about the pizza. He begins to snap his finger rhythmically "Shooby do bop~". Levy places her head in her hands and shakes her head, "Oh my gosh no" she mumbles softly. "Shalala~" Everyone cringes at his random singing.
"What is that horrible singing?" Natsu asks out loud. Gajeel ignores him and picks up Levy with one arm catching her by surprise, she blushes in embarrassment as a result. "It's my song of love for the one I love." The adults watched in amusement; Silver and Grandeeny were eating the pizza while Igneel would glare at them from time to time. Ezekiel and Asuna were watching in admiration.
Grey decides to stand up as well, he wanted to outshine Gajeel. "Juvia..." Grey looks over Ezekiel and mouths 'take notes'. The little man nodded his head eagerly, his sole attention on Grey. Natsu felt a shiver run up and down his spine as he sees Lucy's smile twitch in the corner of his eye. Juvia gets up and places a finger on Grey's lips, she then winks "I love you, Grey." She confesses before Grey even had the chance to utter a word, Grey stood there dumbfounded. Juvia smirks and kisses him lightly on the lips, "I just stole your thunder." She snickered as she sits back down; Grey sits down right after, pouting.
Natsu burst out laughing until... "I LOVE ASUKA!" Ezekiel declares loudly, standing on his chair. Grey and Gajeel nod their heads in approval, proud of their little man. Juvia, Levy, and the adults were in awe.
The pink-haired teen stops laughing and whips his head over at Lucy. "Grey I'm going to kill you." She growled. Grey slowly gets out of his chair and walks away from the kitchen without saying a word. Lucy slowly gets up getting ready to chase him until... Ezekiel helps Asuka stand on her chair then he proceeds to give her a peck on the lips. Natsu began praying.
Bisca and Alzack were laughing and having a blast on how cute the little ones were. "Alzack, they would be a cute married couple in the future," Bisca commented. Alazack stops laughing and looks at her as if she was crazy, "Hunny, it's cute now but when she grows up, I'm not letting her get married to one of the future generation's men." Bisca sucks her teeth, "Oh hush it, I know you would be perfectly fine if it were Ezekiel." Alzack huffs not wanting to admit it.
Lucy stood in shock as she witnesses her son do something so bold. Gajeel was cracking up, enjoying everything unfolding before him. "Mommy, I'm going to marry her after you marry Natsu!" All eyes were on Natsu and a bashful Lucy, including Grey's, who was peeking over the kitchen counter.
'What is going on?!' Lucy couldn't keep up with all the randomness of this family. 'This family is crazy!'
...
Everyone stared at Lucy quietly with concern expressed on their faces.
'Family...' Lucy looks up and glances at each person present in the room including the boy peeking over the counter, a tear shed down her face as it dawned on her how she came a long way from being the girl who couldn't fathom being loved by anyone or loving anyone other than her son. To a girl who's surrounded by everything she thought would only be a dream, a dream she wasn't allowed to achieve.
"Lucy, are you okay?" Natsu soothes her back. Lucy nods her head and smiles, with a light chuckle she responds "I love you guys so much." Everyone smiles and Grey slips back in the kitchen. Lucy whips her head towards his direction "I'm still going to kill you!" She chases after him as he runs out the front door.
The others were laughing watching the blonde teen chasing the idiotic boy.
"Alright Silver, follow after your son and get out my house." Igneel states as he sips on a glass of wine he poured for himself.
Silver chuckles as he walks towards the pizza box, "Oh Igneel, my good old friend." He grabs a slice of pizza and walks towards Igneel, who's glare is sharper than a knife. Silver slaps him with the pizza and books out the door with an angry Igneel on his tail.
"This has been the best family dinner I have ever been apart of, Mrs. Dragneel by all means, please invite us over again." Bisca burst into laughter, absolutely enjoying herself. "It would be my pleasure." Grandeeney raises her glass of wine.
Levy claps her hands together, "Alright, Let's put on a movie. Why wait for those ding dong's to come back, let's hop to it!" She announces as she heads toward the living room to put on a comedy.
The kids shouted with joy and scurried over to the living room, Grandeeney and the others followed after. Grandeeney closed and locked the door. "Why did you lock it?" Natsu asked. "I have to keep the bugs out."
"But mommy is outside, is she a bug?" Ezekiel asked. Grandeeney nods "Once she chased Grey outside I knew she truly obtained the Dragneel family trait of being annoyed by something silly and chasing those who caused the annoyance." Everyone nods, accepting that answer and began watching the movie in peace.
