Sorry for my bad English.

It has been a while since I uploaded a chapter with this or any other fic. It is because I got a new notebook powerful enough to play some games I wanted make a while now, and I lost the track of time playing those games.

I will try focus in the stories I have to upload and not lose myself in the videogames.

Make sun, make rain, Ryan still didn't know why Goodwitch was so adamant in making him fight, regardless what he thinks about battle.

The young gunslinger never imagined that the fact he doesn't like to fight would make his classmates want a piece of him. Some thought that Ryan was just being arrogant, and refused the challenges for thinks himself too good to waste time with them. Some thought that he wanted to hide his skills, and wished to not show up what he was capable of. There even some who he didn't wanted to fight because he was weak, despite already seeing him win every fight he fought.

Regardless of the reason behind his wishes to avoid confrontation, nothing stopped his classmates to want to try at least one round in the arena against him.

So there was Ryan once again, screaming like was facing a serial killer while dodging strikes from the chainsaw sword of Jason Redcross, who was getting tired of his screams.

-Shut the hell up! -He screamed while shoving his sword on the floor where Ryan was lying.

Once rolling away, Ryan laid there, getting his breath while his heart was nearly visible bumping inside his chest. He went to get up only to see the blades of Jason's chainsaw sword coming to his face, forcing him to lay again and making Jason stumble ahead.

Roaring, Jason shoved once again his sword on the floor, only to Ryan roll away once again. With his butt still on the floor, he backs away from Jason who swung his sword like a mad man with a knife, missing every strike.

This continued until Ryan kicked th sword from Jason's arm and sending high in the air. Jason made the mistake to focus where his sword would fall, leaving him wide open to a shot on his stomach. Considering that Ryan's guns can open a hole in a tree, the damage was enough to make Jason fall on his knees.

-You bastard... -Jason murmured while holding his stomach.

Focusing ahead, he could only see the feet from Ryan's slipper coming to his face and kicking him away. For most of the class, he delivered the final blow but in truth, he kicked Jason away before his chainsaw sword could come down to his head.

-I believe that's enough. -Come the voice of Glynda who once approached both her students, let out a sigh while Jason had nearly recovered from the shot and get hold of his sword. -Again Mr. Redcross, you let yourself be controlled by your anger, and show no improvement in your self-control. Mr. Forest, please try use a different strategy during you battles that is not odging non-stop.

Thinking that the battle was over, Ryan put his revolvers back on the holsters and turned away, letting his guard down and not noticing Jason growling.

The whole class was surprised to see the silver haired boy lunch forward like an animal, raising his chainsaw sword for a attack. Ryan heard the roar and turned around just in time to see various small blades moving in front of his good eyes, surrounded by a purple energy holding Jason's weapon in place.

Glynda stopped Jason.

Soon after, the blonde teacher forced the furious student down to the ground with her semblance, shoving his weapon on the concrete as well.

-The fight is over, Mr. Redcross! -Glynda said harshly. -What we just witnessed is the same behavior for a huntsmen in training. In tournaments, this is not only against the rules but shows lack of sportsmanship. Something that can affect the academy that you are representing. -With her explanation over, Glynda turns a glare to Jason. -We will immediately have a talk about your behavior,Mr. Redcross.

Jason just growled as Glynda ended her class early to scoll Jason for his behavior. She notices that Ryan didn't moved an inche from his spot and was about to call him. That's when he fell on the floor like a statue from the jumpscare of nearly being attacked from behind.

Glynda just sighed.

The bell rung indicating the end of the class. Koro went down to the arena to awake his partner.

-Mr. Koro. -Glynda called the ninja. -After I deal with Mr. Redcross, I would like to you and Mr. Forest come to the headmaster's office.

-For what reason? -Koro asked, and Glynda was actually surprise with his choice of words.

Normaly he would just refuse or ask using the words "What the hell for?"

-It is a matter related to the vigilant.

Koro raised an eyebrow at that. He remembers his fight alongside his partner against the vigilant, and even was preparing himself to face him again if necessary. But they never meet him again, yet did not stopped him to be alert during his late night activities, just in case.

Explaining the situation to his teammates, Sally and Unicorn left the arena and accompained Glynda to her office, where they were left out while she scolded Jason for his behavior after the fight.

Done with the problematic student, she left her office and went to Ozpin's office alongside the ninja and the gunslinger, and yes Ryan awoke. Once on the room near to the top of the tower, the partners see the headmaster. Glynda immediately joins him but Ryan see talking to the headmaster someone he never knew before.

He was a police officer, this can be see from his uniform. He was already in his fifties, with grey hair and only on the sides of his head, with the top completely bald, his skin red as a tomato.

Ryan never meet this man before, however Koro raised an eyebrow in confusion. The officer turns to the boys and seemed surprise as well.

-I had to see with my own eyes to believe. -The officer began. -Koro, the greatest food thief Vale ever see really has come to Beacon Academy to become a huntsmen.

-I missed you too Shrimp. -Koro said.

-Shrimp? -Ryan asked, more confused about the name than the fact that Koro knew the man.

-Officer Shrimp, at your orders. -The officer said.

-Whatever old fish. -Koro began. -So, what are you doing here?

-I remember already explaining to you the reason, Mr. Koro.

-Wait, his presence here is related to the vigilant?

-His presence? When did you started to use words like "presence"?

-Officer Shrimp. -Ozpin spoke. -It is better we focus in the matter in hand.

-Oh! Of course, apologies. -Shrimp then coughed before began from the beggining. -As for your question Koro, yes. I heard about you and your friend's encounter with... The Black Mantle!

...

...

...

-The... Black Mantle? -Ryan asked.

-Yes, why? -Shrimp asked. -Something is wrong with the name?

-Well... -Ozpin began. -How can we put this?

-It is stupid and ridiculous. -Koro blantly answered.

-What?! Nosense. -Shrimp asked, sounding offended. -I came with the name myself.

-Exactly. -Was all Koro said.

-And... what about him? -Ryan asked, not wanting for his partner anger the red skinned officer more.

He knows if Koro do something, he will drag Ryan along for reasons that the gunslinger still don't know.

-As we heard about the night you and Koro fought the vigilant, I thought that you both could give us some information about him that we could use.

-What kind information? -Koro asked.

-Anything that can help us arrest this vile man once for all. -Shrimp answered, and Ryan could swear that he was looking to a second professor Port.

-Sorry, but I can't think in anything that you already may know.

-Yeah. Koro began. -You already may know about the black overcoat, the red glasses and black sweatband, the laser cannon, the grenades, the throwing knives, the machete...

-The militar chain, the... -Ryan mumbled.

-Hold for a moment Koro! -Shrimp interrupted. -What was the last thing you said Mr. Forest?

-The military chain? -Asked Ryan.

-Are you saying that he have one of those chains with tags that can make easy for the soldier to be reconized in case of some tragedy happen?

-Those tags are for that? -Koro asked. -I thought was just for style or something like that.

-When did you saw that chain anyway? -Koro asked.

-It was when you was busy with that big guy and I put him in front of the hospital.

-You "put" him in front of the hospital?

-I went back to see you and it was there the police took me.

Ozpin coughed taking them from their conversation.

-It seems we have all we need.

-All? -Koro asked. -All we discover about it is a chain around his neck, that is something anyone should have discovered by now.

-It is not that simple Koro. -Ozpin spoke. -He have a way similar to your to deal with those he consider a enemy.

-Meaning that he also get those by stealth? -Ryan asked.

Koro actually remembered that the Mantle shot his partner from behind, hoping to knock out him without a fight. Now, if Koro was in his place, after Ryan was knocked, his partner would be too much surprise and would only be able to turn around to see the beam hitting him on his chest.

-So no huntsmen notices the chain because he always takes them by surprise? -Koro asked, but no one answered, allowing him to smirk before continue. -I'm starting to like him.

-Like him?! -Shrimp shouts. -He is no different from the criminals he hunts! The way he deals with criminals in ways that put in danger innocent folks!

-Alright, alright. I was just thinking loud. Just that. -Koro said with his hand and scarf raised. -We done here? I have things to do.

-What kind of things? -Glynda asked.

Before Koro could give a sarcastic reply, Ryan answered.

-He's going to the library.

The answer made every adult in the room raise a eyebrow, except for officer Shrimp who the eyes snapped open with surprise.

-You are going to the library? -Shrimp asked pointing at Koro, who was blushing.

Ozpin and Glynda were told by Port that Koro was illiterate. Was being the keyword. With the help of his leader, he soon overcome this obstacle and they thought would be the end of it, but they did not know that Koro had became a kind of bookworm, reading books that had nothing related to become a huntsmen but only being stories considered classics of literature.

-I'm just going for the comic books. -And of course he would hide that fact.

-Are you done already with For Whom the Bell Tolls? -And of course Ryan would speak too much, embarasing his partner and making both his teacher and headmaster smirk.

-Let's just go Ryan. -Koro said with cheeks red as a tomato while trying to drag his partner with his scarf. Trying being the right word.

Seeing that his partner would not move a inch from where he was standing, Koro gave him a glare that told him to move, and he obeyed feeling a chill in his spinde.

Once they were out of the office, Shrimp sighed.

-I must admit, I had my doubts when I heard what you planned. But it seems that this place really is changing him for better.

-It seems so. -Ozpin said, feeling somewhat proud.

The elevator ride was going to be silent if both their scrolls began to ring. Getting the device from their pockets, the message get both them by surprise, making them change their destiantion to the nurse office.
