Trouble in the East

Chapter 23: Battle in the Desert

Before you read, just a heads up that things will get hot, heavy, and steamy at the end. So that's a warning if you don't like that kind of stuff.

Before the break of dawn, those fighting rose up and came out of their tents, and began to change into their armor, weapons at the ready. Nicholas and Miura emerged from their tent with her hand in his paw. They met up with the others in the group. "Sleep well?" Tethu asked. Tethi was holding onto his arm.

"About as much as you can get before a major fight," the Anuban replied.

"Should we meet up Quint and Arial?" the female Seedling asked.

"Sounds good to me."

As they walked to where the rulers were, they noticed the other Orok who were fighting were preparing their weapons and putting on their armor. They looked grim but it was to be expected before a battle. The group was directed to where Quint and Arial were. They looked royal and powerful in their armor and their weapons added to the picture. "Good, you made it," the male Orok stated.

"We came to see where we needed to go and plus I was thinking of coming fo a little moral support before the battle," Nicholas said.

"Thank you for that," Arial said sweetly. Her husband smiled but then he got serious.

"When it comes to your group it's a little different," he stated. "You guys are far different than any solider or unit I've commanded. I do know this; we can't afford to lose any of you. Which is why I ask all of you now, can you take and follow orders?" Everyone nodded and replied they could. "Very well. All of you report to the same Orok I told you to last time. He will give you further instructions."

With that, the two ruling Orok left to prepare. "Let's go find Granite," Sol then said to the others.

They found him also ready with his weapon and armor on. "Good, there you are," he stated. "I have the perfect positions for you guys to go to."

While it was true the group was divided up, they were put in pairs. Tethu and Tethi were together with the archers who had ranged weapons because she had her crossbow. There was a second ranged unit as well. Sol and Levi were more with the main force while Nicholas and Miura were at a different section of another force. And it was a good thing as not too long some runners came. The enemy was coming. "So then… they've finally come, huh?" Nicholas stated to Miura. "Let's show them what we can do…"

"I'm not going to lose here," she said.

Then over the desert area where this would take place near the city on a rock a single enemy came up, a tall one at that and thickly built. From the looks of it, it was another monster that had two horns but appeared to be some kind lizard not seen before and the scales were brown and tan. The enemy wielded a huge ax to fit him. The enemy let out a roar from its mouth and that's when those fighting this army saw the rest of other one. "We're supposed to fight that?" Tethi whispered in shock to Tethu.

It looked like a mass of monsters. But some did indeed appear to be the actual dead itself. Figures that walked with dragging their feet, wrapped bodies with bandages, and some even had their faces exposed that looked zombie like. However no leader could be seen yet. Just the lizard who appeared to be a commander of this army. The enemy then stopped within a good distance of the other army. For seconds there was silence. Then Quint gave the single. War horns were sounded and his army let out shouts. The other side did as well and charged forward. "So it begins…" Nicholas said softly.

The command was given and the traps were activated that Miura and Tethu had helped build. The pathways ahead collapsed, sending some of the enemy down. Below were spikes that they got impaled on. While this did slow them down for only a bit, it was enough. "PREPARE TO FIRE!" the one commanding the ranged attacks ordered.

All the archers and Tethi prepared their ranged weapons. They saw the enemy had managed to start getting across the traps by using the dead bodies on their side as stepping stool. "Aim true…" Tethu told his girl.

"RELEASE THE ARROWS!" the commander shouted. The deadly bolts were launched and many found their target.

"Looks like they got a lot!" Sol told Levi from their position where they saw everything.

"Give them another volley," Quint then said to another commander next to him.

"FIRE!" they shouted and the order was repeated. More deadly bolts found their mark.

The archers did a third wave but this time many of the enemy used their shields to catch the shafts. Then they go close enough to fire their own arrows at the other side. A few found their mark but many were deflected. Then the Oroks were signaled to charge in. They let out war cries and charged forward. The two main bodies then met in a clash. Sol and Levi were in the thick of it along with Nicholas and Miura. The four were back to back with the one in their group, watching out for the other. Meanwhile while all of this had been gone on, Esna and her guy were watching all of this high above to offer moral support. "Ooohhh how awful," she whispered. The two were actually in physical form as during the preparations, Tethu and Miura had created a pool for the two water spirits to be in.

"Yes… but it is the price of war my dear," the male stated. "Just know our friends and Orok are fighting for good."

"I think it might help if we can spot whoever is leading them."

"We can try."

Meanwhile on the battle field, the fighting was still going strong. Nicholas and those fighting with him were taking out enemies left and right, the one with crystals also using them in bursts to help out. The Anuban's face was a snarl as he showed no mercy. Levi's hammer was spelling death every time he struck at an opponent. Miura and Sol were just concentrating. But Tethi who was with Tethu looked on with worry. "We're supposed to take all of them out?" she asked her guy.

"Yeah… maybe if we found the one leading them it would help," he said. "I'm going to find Quint and Arial. I'll find whoever it is."

"By yourself? No I'm coming with you."

"I was about to ask that," the male Seedling commented with a smile. "Let's go."

They made their way down to where the rulers were as the male and female Orok hadn't moved from their commanding spot. Those two noticed the Seedlings. "Tethu, Tethi, what are you doing here?" he asked, concerned.

"Listen, we think this might help." The two explained what they wanted to do.

"We've already considered that. We were about to send for you two to do that and others."

"Good, we're thinking alike."

"See if Esna and Lanayru can help as well," Arial suggested.

"Now go and may the spirits watch over you," Quint stated.

"We're already on the way," Tethi replied.

The two Seedlings had to climb up to where the spirits were and discussed with them what they were going to do. "I think we can get around the main enemy army," Lanayru stated, looking. "We'll use that path to sneak around them."

"And put a stop to this," Esna commented.

"Let's go," Tethu said and the four began to make their way to where they hopped they'd find the one leading the enemy.

The two spirits went into their orbs as they had been fully out in the body of water created by Tethu and Miura. The group of four began to make their way down. Meanwhile on the battle field there was a pause for Nicholas, Miura, Sol, and Levi had ducked behind a rock to catch their breath. "Doing alright?" she asked the Anuban.

"Yeah but…" he replied and peaked around where they were resting. "We may be in over our heads…"

"Hey who's that?" Levi asked, now noticing Tethu and Tethi.

The rest looked and saw who it was. "What the hell?" Nicholas asked.

"It's Tethu and Tethi," Miura said. "What are they doing?"

"Shall we go to them?" Sol asked the Anuban.

"Not yet," Nicholas said. "We don't want to draw the enemy's attention to them." He looked around the rock. "Instead, let's get our friends that chance they need." He then turned back to the others. "Let's give them some hell."

The guy jumped out from the rock, the wind power of his crystal coming out to help. Miura and Sol used theirs as well while Levi had his hammer ready. Tethu and Tethi noticed this and grinned. "Looks like they might have seen us and are helping," she commented.

"Then let's go while we can," he said.

It seemed like a long trek to get around this enemy army. Of course that was probably due not just because of the size, but also the battling made it worse. But step by step the Seedlings got closer to their goal. Several times they had to duck behind rocks to avoid getting hit or spotted. But then at last they were around and hiding behind another bolder. "Let's wait and catch our breaths," the male stated.

They looked around the rock and could see that they had made it to the place where the commander of this army was on a ledge. They were cloaked but had armor on as well. From the shape of them, they did indeed appear to be someone from the area of earth. But they weren't alone for they had a portal up. And on the other side was Romanne clearly in communication with them. "What is the situation?" the second male asked.

"It's working perfectly," the cloaked figure replied, the voice showing that it was a female. "Soon we'll be able to get to the city."

"Excellent. Proceed with the attack."

The portal then disappeared. "Should we now?" Tethi whispered to Tethu.

"Not yet," he replied softly. They watched the enemy then turn to face the oncoming battle. The male Seedling nodded to the female Seedling and they both stepped out behind the cloaked figure.

"Well hey there," Tethu said loud enough to be heard.

The enemy whirled around and drew their weapon. It turned out to be similar looking to a scimitar. "You…" they stated and then chuckled evilly. "You've saved me the trouble of finding you two. I've heard about you from Romanne. This is perfect."

"Not for you if we stop you," the female Seedling stated and got ready.

"Oh? You think you have a shot at beating me? You're out of your league here girl."

With no warning, the enemy came chagrining in but both Seedlings rolled out of the way. Tethu shot some of the water from his crystal at the opponent but they just used their weapon to deflect the attack. "Well what do you know; looks like these ones have some moves after all!" they stated.

Tethu then went in and their blades clashed. Tethi then fired with her crossbow but the enemy was able to move out of the way of the deadly shot. She moved up onto a rock that was in her area, looking down below at the two, her cloak flapping in the wind. "Do you really think you actually have a chance of winning?" they asked.

"Is it means stopping this army, yes!" Tethi replied and fired again.

The enemy moved and the shots barely missed her. The female Seedling's guy then responded with water being shot at the opponent once more. She managed to deflect all but one shot found its mark. The cloaked figured landed on the ground. The two had their blades meet but now Tethi couldn't attack in case she hit Tethu. "Your moves are clean and cut!" the enemy stated. "More so than I would have thought!"

They came apart, breathing a little hard. The three then turned to see how the rest of the battle was coming along with the armies. They saw the enemy one was starting to slowly be pushed back as the rest with the crystals had really begun to utilize those powers to turn the tide in their side's favor. Also Quint and Arial had joined in the fighting now. "Think you can win now?" the male Seedling asked.

"Tch!" the female enemy spat despite her face not being out to spit.

"I suggest you surrender."

"To you?" The enemy laughed. "You know, you may have saved some of the spirits for now you and your friends. But I wonder if you can truly survive the horror of what is to come!"

"That monster that's waiting for us?" Tethi asked with a smirk.

Their opponent just took a step back. "You have no idea of the horror that awaits. There are some things far more frightening than death!"

She then jumped off the ledge. "What?!" the female Seedling stated.

"She got away!" Tethu stated.

But now the enemy army was truly being pushed back. The side of good had won against them even though some had been killed. Soon the group were meeting up with the rulers here after being checked up at the first aid tents. Luckily the others who had been fighting the main body of the army weren't hurt too badly. Just some scratches. "Ugh, what a fight," Nicholas groaned as he sat in a chair in the tent that belonged to Quint and Arial.

"But we made it," Miura commented, one hand on his shoulder. He looked up at her with a smile, squeezing it with a paw.

"So what did you want to talk about?" the male Orok asked the Seedlings since those two had called this meeting. The time for mourning for the lost ones could wait a bit.

Tethu and Tethi told them everything that had happened with this new enemy. "So there is a third one," Nicholas said. "I guess what Quint and Arial said about seeing this one is true. That can only mean that one from every place is working with evil."

"And a female to boot," Levi commented. The Anuban let out a small laugh.

"You assumed they would all be male, nobody ever said that."

"Regardless, I feel we must keep an eye out for her," Sol stated.

"I agree," Nicholas commented.

"Now what?" Esna asked since she and the male water spirit with her were also out in their orbs to.

"I think it's time we helped out the spirit here," Nicholas stated. "Let's rest for tonight and then tomorrow, we'll head there."

"Sounds like a plan," Tethu commented.

That night the male Seedling was at his tent and then heard a knock on one of the posts. "Hm?" the guy asked. "Who could that be at this hour?"

The guy opened his tent flap to find Tethi standing there. "Wha… what are you doing here?" he asked in surprise.

"I'm sorry…" she whispered, blushing. "It's just… I couldn't sleep. I…"

"Shhh… it's okay," the male replied. "I understand. You want to talk?"

The two went into his tent and sat down on the cot like bed. "Thanks for understanding Tethu," Tethi told him.

"Hey, that's what I'm here for to be moral support for you," he told his girl with a smile. She nodded and then the two began to talk which made her feel better. Before leaving they had a loving kiss and Tethi found she was able to sleep.

For Nicholas and Miura, it was different. She was once again in the cot bed with him. "This feels nice," the male Anuban whispered.

"Mmmm…" she sighed happily as they lay there with his right arm around her and her head on his muscled chest. Her right hand was on that as well. "I could get use to this babe."

"Yeah, same." Nicholas was silent for a few seconds but then brought up an idea he had in his head. "And it can stay that way if you want."

"Oh? How?"

"Well if you want we could share the same bed from now on if you like."

Miura rose up to look at her guy with a happy smile. "I'd love to…" She came in to kiss him and then it became a make out session. Nicholas's paws fell to her ass while the Drauk grinding her lower body against his front. The couple pulled back, gasping for air but the grinding didn't stop. Nicholas got her neck while flipping her over. Miura moaned happily, rubbing her ass against his front. She felt her lower region get wet as well feeling her guy rub his paws on her sides. Then his paws moved and started fondling her tits. It might have gone on further had the two not heard what sounded like someone was nearby and froze. "Shit," Nicholas hissed. The two stopped, blushing red.

They waited. "I think they're gone now," the Drauk whispered. She then turned her head to kiss his cheek. "But I'm not leaving you unsatisfied dear…"

"I'm close…" he stated softly.

Miura just rubbed and grinded her ass as sexily and as hard as she could. The Anuban then grunted and arched his bag as his release happened. He was left gasping a bit as the Drauk flipped over again and kissed his cheek. "Mmmmm, happy?" Miura cooed.

"Much…" Nicholas managed to reply.

"Love ya."

"I love you to." The couple then settled in and were asleep, in their heads the thought of going even further when the chance came in their minds. The couple knew it would happen after rescuing the spirit. As for the rest of the group, they slept well. And they would need itfor what was to come.
