Before going to the next location, he met with Agasa for some assistance that he so clearly needed because he knew that he could not do this alone.
"Maybe we could figure something out if I take one apart" said Agasa inspecting the wristband.
But it might it explode" said Agasa lets his arm go.
The sudden rush memories of the constant explosions that Agasa made with his experiments and inventions was always constant. He did not want that to his arm, or anyone else's. Taking care of Agasa's minor injuries was more than enough. He did not want to lose an arm because The Professor was experimenting.
"I really can't do anything" said Agasa.
Great!
He was stuck with an explosion on his arm that could go off at any moment if he was not careful.
"I see" said Shinichi.
He looked at his watch to see how much time he had left.
He needed to save time. And since he could rely on public transport without putting anyone in danger and Kogoro was in jail he would need some other type of transport.
"Ah, yeah. I've upgraded the power" said Agasa .
Agasa took out the turbo engine skateboard out of a bag and then handed it to Shinichi.
"Thank You" replied Shinichi.
Agasa asked about the clue. He did figure out the clue, and he had to get there immediately.
"Café terrace at Night. Is a painting that was made by Vincent Van Gogh in is the scene that includes faint gas lamps above a café terrace. And a street was carriages are rolling out"
He began to explain.
"The first place in Japan to have gas lamps was Basha Street"
And he sped off before Agasa could get a word in edge wise.
He got off the board and began to inspect Basha Street.
"What is it?" he said to himself.
He could tell there was something off.
He looked around.
He could feel people watching him. He knew that there would be people that were paid to keep an eye on him and watch him, following his every move and report back. But he knew that these people would do it from a distance that he would not be able to feel them nearby.
No. This person was closer and nearby than the others. This person was alone and watching him so close that he could practically feel their breath. He looked at his surround and saw most likely spot for a person that was following him would hide.
If he, Shinichi hypothetically was tailing someone then he would either do it in plain sight or hide in the shadows close by. He would have to keep at least enough feet apart for not to be suspicious but also to be able to get the information that was required.
The alleyway would be the best location to keep a tail on someone. The person that had been following him and keeping an eye on him was hidden in the shadows. And without thinking he proceeded to run towards the alleyway.
"I guess was wrong" he said as he to himself aloud stopping.
He stepped out of the shadows only to nearby bump into someone that did not even acknowledge that person nearly walked into a stranger. He rolled his eyes annoyed at them.
And then he heard someone yelling on their phone without someone this someone was just as loud as he was.
Here he was Kudo Shinichi High School Detective, doing his best not to be noticed by anyone as he did not want or need the attention. Then there was this baka being rude and not even paying attention the dirty looks that bypassers were giving him.
"Kudo Shinich. Go tae Teitan High School
"My name is Hattori Heiji. I'm a High School Detective just like you, Kudo!" said Hattori.
Looking at this Hattori Heiji, he could tell.
He was from Osaka. - He could tell from his accent and his choice of word phrase. And the hat he chose to wear was that of baseball team. Also meaning this guy was a fan of baseball. Shinichi was never a fan of baseball and found it rather boring and repetitive.
By his stance he could tell that this guy was into many other sports. By his posture he could tell that he had to defend himself. Also being the child of a high-ranking police officer would make it more likely that he would have to learn to defend himself. He was not too muscular and was rather slim. It was like that he did Kendo. He, himself had learned football as a way to be able to keep himself in shape and a way to defend himself. He also factored in that he liked football.
He caught a glimpse of a similar device, and he quickly realised that they were in a similar or the same situation.
It looked like he would not be working alone and would be working with another detective. He was just hoping that this one was actually good at his job. He did not want to stuck with someone that always came to the wrong conclusion. And he could not helping thinking of 'The Junior Detective League' he was hoping that he would not be stuck with another fan.
Shinichi had no idea what he was truly in for and whom was lurking just around the corner.
