Just a warning - this chapter has juvenile fat shaming in it. Sorry. This story is told through the eyes of Ella - a juvenile teenage girl who we've established is a bit of a bitch. That being said it's 2020 and these days I would never write anything of the sorts (and haven't in the sequel that's coming).

It was the day before the party, and instead of freaking out with Kathryn about how I was going to do my make-up, hair and what I was going to do, I was stuck at Kaiba Corp, sitting on Seto Kaiba's desk.

That's right, sitting ON and not sitting AT. Today I was working for HR, but Kaiba said he would have rather me work in his office, so those in Human Resources couldn't influence me. He wanted me to write down a list of what employees may be unhappy with, and how to improve employer/employee relations. I had made a list of 10 things, but now I was discussing things with Kaiba, as I was too distracted to continue.

He didn't seem to mind very much that I was sitting on his desk, his eyes sometimes darting to my presence.

"What are you up to on the weekend?" I asked him, casually.

"Work, both industry and school related." He growled to me.

"Eww, kill it." I giggled, hitting his arm softly, and he raised an eyebrow at me.

"If I didn't know any better Ella, it would seem you were just flirting with me." He smirked.

"I flirt with hating work, not you Mr. Kaiba." I blushed, quickly trying to save myself. I didn't even realise I was flirting with him!

"Ms Campbell, that doesn't even make sense." Kaiba chuckled.

I blushed even deeper, and pretended to go back to work. However, even though I was now being productive again, Kaiba continued our conversation.

"What are you up to then, hater of work?" Kaiba asked me.

"PARTY!" I grinned, excitingly.

"Oh?" Kaiba asked, seeming interested.

"Duke Devlin's 18th. It's going to be awesome, except for the fact that Wheeler will be there." I grumbled.

"Who cares what the mutt does with his life. Just remember, you're in a league way out of his. In your world, he doesn't exist. Remember that Ella." Kaiba said, and I sent him a big nod.

His words actually seemed to make sense, and I made sure to remember them. Kaiba's negative words about Joey used to upset me, but now they made me a stronger person.

I was on the bus to Duke's house. My father offered to drive me, but if he saw what I was wearing, he would be disgusted. Duke had a theme for his party; it was a 'dress up/fancy dress' sort of theme. I had decided not to go all out on my costume, but I had dressed a little bit as a sailor.

My outfit consisted of a low-cut strapless blue and white stripy top, with a small bow that bought attention to my large cleavage. I had a white tutu on to go with the top. The outfit accented my body type, and I couldn't be happier.

For my hair, I decided to blow dry it, and only straighten my fringe. My hair stayed fairly straight if I didn't straighten it, so I messed up the back of my hair, and used a white headband to separate the mess of my hair to the straight, neat part of my fringe.

As Duke said alcohol was allowed, I did bring some. I had a big stash back home in L.A. but I knew most of it wouldn't go through customs, I had to give away most of it. I kept one unopened bottle of premixed cosmopolitan cocktail, as the alcohol content was low it went through customs, but the alcohol content was enough for me, back home I was nicknamed 'half a drink Ella' from my ability to get drunk fairly quick...

I pressed the button at the bus stop closest to Duke's, and got off. I took a few deep breaths, and checked the time. 9.00PM. The party began half an hour ago, and I was already fashionably late, which was good

I eventually made my way up Duke's driveway, and rang the doorbell.

"Ella! Baby!" Duke answered, a plastic cup in one hand.

I giggled; he was already a little tipsy.

"Come in darling!" He said, and moved to the side.

I could see that the real party was outside, with a professional DJ, a dance floor and lights. I saw Yugi and Tea dancing outside, but when they saw I had walked in they quickly came inside to greet me.

"Is Duke calling everyone 'baby' and 'darling' or is it just me?" I asked, cocking up an eyebrow.

"It's everyone, don't worry." Tea giggled.

Tea had dressed up as a French maid, and Yugi of course, was dressed as the Dark Magician.

As Yugi tried to quickly grasp my attention, I saw both his and Tea's intention of greeting me. Joey was here, and the waitress from the café was his date. No way.

Even though I had told myself I was over Joey, jealous and pain stabbed me in the stomach. Although one thing made me laugh.

Joey was dressed up as Hugh Hefner, and the café waitress was dressed as a playboy bunny. She was wearing only fishnet stockings, white underwear that was very much see-through with a bad case of camel toe, with a white and black corset. On some girls this may look sexy (aside from the camel toe) but her body shape was quite oval, and her rolls of fat were sticking out the top, and out the bottom, making everyone around her cringe.

I laughed and smirked; making plans to go out there soon to show Joey what he traded in for that ugly dog. He went on about wanting an attractive girlfriend to be taken seriously in the duel monsters world, but that café waitress was NOT the answer.

"Guys, it's okay. Joey and I are finito, and if he has a date here I would have eventually found out." I shrugged to Yugi and Tea.

"Yeah guys, Ella knows she's way more gorgeous than that ugly fat thing, I'll take it from here." Kathryn came up behind me, winking to Tea and Yugi before she carted me off to Duke's kitchen.

She picked up two plastic cups, and handed one to me.

"You need your first shot of Vodka for the night before we get wasted." She said to me.

I closed my eyes, breathed in, and put the cup to my lips. I gulped down the contents, and dropped the cup onto the bench after coughing from the burning sensation in my throat. Kathryn quickly handed me the second cup.

"Drink it, it's coke. Makes a good chaser." Kathryn said as I gulped down the content.

"I once had some 95% Vodka. It was from Sweden, I don't even think it was meant for drinking. Stuff would burn your insides, I only had about a quarter of a shot." I told Kathryn.

"Wow, that's crazy. Well Ella, now that you've had your first shot of alcohol, you can now begin your adventures for tonight!" she giggled, putting her arm around my shoulders.

This should be interesting.
