This took forever! My God I am so sorry, but the wheels in my head are thinking of other plots when I need to focus. Anyway, at the end there will be more notes.
The sounds of electronic beeps caught Alexandra's attention, as a brightness began to fill her eyesight as she cracked her lids open. Confusion filled her head, as she was disoriented while her blurry vision slowly began to settle. Carlisle was standing by what appeared to be a heart monitor as the young mother realized she was in a hospital.
"Alexandra." He greeted in relief, while his golden eyes focused on her face. It was then everything began to clear up, she had passed out after finding out Thomas was missing.
"Carlisle." She breathed. "Have they found my son?"
A sigh escaped him, as he closed his eyes. "I'm afraid not, my family along with the Volturi guard are all looking." He told her softly. "Your mates will join the search once they know you are well."
Her head tilted back, as tears began to stream from her eyes. Her baby was out there somewhere. "How long have I been out?"
"Six hours." He replied.
Alexandra shot up at that, as dizziness filled her mind, Carlisle was on high alert. Eyes now trained on her, as he took note of her calculating in her head. Knowing her father was a detective, the blonde male knew what she was thinking without his first born's telepathic abilities. "The first 24 hours are critical, and I've been out for six of them. We have eighteen left." She started babbling away in fear.
"We will find him." Carlisle told her after a moment, while placing a hand on her shoulder. Her blue eyes locked with his golden ones, the vampire could feel his undead heartbreaking at her teary gaze. "Allow me to call your mates back in here, they are talking with Chief Swan."
The dark haired girl nodded, as he left. Her hands moved to grab hold of her pillow, as more fear took into her heart. Her mates found her like this, clutching the hospital pillow for dear life as she was trembling in fear. Aro, dashed to her no longer caring about much. His cold arms embraced her, as she turned to hold him equally as tight. "Who would take him?" She sobbed into his shoulder.
"That is something you may be able to help us with." The voice of Charlie pulled her head up. "Is there anybody you can think of, that would do something like this?" He asked, she started to shake her head when the older human male continued. "Any Ex boyfriends, or-"
"Oh my God." Alexandra breathed, her mates and Carlisle instantly knew who she was thinking of. "Dillon, he's Thomas's biological father."
"Did he know about Thomas?" Charlie asked.
Alexandra nodded softly. "He knew I was pregnant when I moved to Italy for protection. Dillon was very abusive, and when I found out I was pregnant he demanded I have an abortion. Which I refused."
"I have the abuse documented." Carlisle added. "Including video evidence of him, dragging her in here. Demanding an abortion."
Charlie nodded his head calmly. "Has he made any form of contact."
"In January he showed up in Volterra Italy, at my baby shower." Her three mates had stayed silent, as they listened to everything. "He was looking for revenge then."
"He's not listed on the birth certificate?" Charlie asked.
"No, I am." Caius spoke calmly. "Alexandra, my brothers and I all fell in love with one another. It did not matter to us that she was pregnant, in fact the idea of having a child filled us with joy."
"Regardless if Thomas is biologically ours, he is still our son." Marcus added, while Aro nodded.
Charlie nodded. "What is Dillon's last name?"
"Reeves." Alexandra replied, earning a nod as the man went to turn. "Chief?"
"Yes?" He asked, as brown eyes turned back to her.
"Thomas has a severe dairy allergy, Dillon wouldn't know that. Formula milk could be lethal." She said, as they had tried to switch the boy off of breast milk. When he had a terrible reaction, it left the poor child in the hospital in Volterra for days.
Charlie nodded his head, understanding the alarm. "We will do everything we can."
"Thank you." Alexandra whispered, sCarlisle walked over to gently remove the IV from her arm.
"I know this will be difficult, but please try to rest." Charlie added, looking at the four. A poly relationship was frowned upon, but he could tell how much they all cared for their kid. Breaking the older man's heart, as Alexandra buried her head within Aro's neck once again.
The ebony king was no better, fear coursing through his own heart. Undead, as it may be it was still cracking at the mere thought of his son away from his reach. His mates own thoughts mixed with his own. "We will find him." He whispered softly, but it sounded as if he was trying to reassure himself more than his mate.
"You four can leave the hospital, right after you sign the discharge papers Alexandra." Carlisle whispered, which she nodded. Turning away from her mates embrace to sign the documents, not even having to read them with how many times she was committed to Carlisle's care; she knew them like the back of her hand.

That night, Alexandra was lying with her mates. Her head on top of Aro, but sleep would never come to her being. Not while her baby was somewhere that was not home. 'This is all my fault.' She kept thinking to herself, believing that if they had just stayed in Volterra. 'This would not have happened.'
"Cara." Aro whispered, but she did not respond. "This is not your fault." He told her, gaining the attention of her other two mates who laid around her.
Caius whimpered softly. "No one is to blame, except the man who took our son."
A snarl left Marcus then. "Whom, we will torture and kill for such a crime."
"You need to get some sleep." Caius whispered, trying to keep a level head. Much to everyone's surprise, as Aro and Marcus were growling a snarling. They however tried to force a few purrs to soothe their mate, nothing came out however.
Alexandra shook her head, tears had never stopped spilling from her eyes as she choked out. "I can't."
The blonde was quick to pull her over to him, much to Aro's annoyance. "Try, I will wake you when we hear something. However you need to rest, you won't be of any help exhausting yourself and you know it. Thomas would want you to sleep."
Marcus had gotten up during this time to fix a cup of lavender tea, hoping it would help his mate. He also tried to further calm himself down, as his anger did nothing to soothe the grieving mother. "Here, baby." He whispered, as Caius helped her sit up to take the hot drink. "When you are finished, Aro will have a nice warm bath ready for you." He told her, his brother turned and looked at him in confusion.
"That does sound nice." Alexandra whispered softly, she turned to the mate in question. "Will you sit with me?"
"I will hold you." Aro whispered.
"Than-" She was cut off as Caius's phone went off, which sent all four in high alert. Alexandra moved closer as he answered so she could listen.
"Hello." Caius answered, putting the phone on speaker so she could hear.
"Caius, it's Carlisle." The voice spoke. "Dillon had Thomas, your son is in the hospital undergoing treatment."
"Treatment for what?!" Alexandra all but cried, fear coursing through her heart.
"Shaken baby syndrome." Those three words, caused the cup of hot liquid to fall from her hands. Luckily Marcus was furious as he managed to catch it.
"We are on our way." Aro snarled.
Alright to anybody who does not know. Here is the full definition of Shaken Baby syndrome: (A serious brain injury resulting from forcefully shaking an infant or toddler. Shaken baby syndrome usually occurs when a parent or caregiver severely shakes a child in frustration or anger, often because the child won't stop crying. Permanent brain damage or death may result.) So, you can see Alexandra's fear perfectly. Now, you saw Aro's snarl to the news however you don't see what he or his brothers are truly thinking yet. So in your reviews, please give your own descriptions to theit thoughts.
