Chapter 30
The prince of Bean-bean Kingdom stands on his winged board. He holds the barrel of Chuckola Cola up in his hands. Bubbles, the fugitive who created the Cola, has his body tied under the prince's board by a rope. Bubbles has admitted defeat out of depression of the supposed death of his monstrous creation.
Prince Peasley is flying in the air on his board, finally leaving Chucklehuck Woods as the Beanish he freed escaped on foot. He looks up to see the skies. Suddenly, the skies have darkened when the sun is blocked by a thundercloud.
Prince Peasley assumes, "Is this finally rain, the rarest weather in this kingdom?"
But the prince gasped when his assumption is wrong, proven by Cackletta's face on the thundercloud, which begins to strike bolts of lightning down the ground.
Prince Peasley controls his winged board while carrying the barrel of Chuckola Cola. He sees his destination from a short distance, so he hurries as he steps forward to accelerate the speed of his winged board.
He and Bubbles have arrived at the entrance of Bean-bean Castle.
A pair of Beanish troops greeted the prince. They also see Bubbles tied up around his board. The prince gives his orders to the troops, "Send Bubbles to the dungeon in the castle sewers. I must meet the queen immediately."
Prince Peasley entered the castle with the barrel of Chuckola Cola on top of his head.
The Beanish troops look at Bubbles, and then each other. One of them questioned about the fugitive, "So, what to do with this Bubbles guy?"
"No clue," the other troop sarcastically answered, "let's just bring him to the dungeons."
"Good idea," the Beanish troop gullibly agreed.
Inside the Bean-bean Castle, Prince Peasley entered the throne room, where multiple castle troops restrain and tie their mutated queen to the floor.
Lady Lima arrives in the throne room as well with a cup in her hand. As the prince places the barrel on the floor, Lady Lima quickly takes a sample of the Cola for mass production. She nods at the prince, who lifts up the barrel of Chuckola Cola again and walks towards his mother.
Queen Bean has her mouth wide opened as she roars to express her struggles to break free from her strong and faithful captors. Prince Peasley groans and pours the Cola into his mother's mouth. The mutated Queen Bean willingly drank the Cola as those who are inside the throne room await the cure to kick in.
But to their horror, the queen has not transformed as she continues to shake. Slowly, the troops grew weary of holding the queen down on the floor, but Beanardo, their supervisor, cries out to stall the queen's freedom until she is cured.
Lady Lima yells at the prince, "That formerly monstrous beverage should cure the queen! No… it should get rid off the Bellech Worm! It is hopeless now knowing that the long-lost Chuckola Cola could not repel the Bellech Worm off."
Prince Peasley takes a moment to think as he watches his mother trying to free herself. He remembers an advice in the not so distant past. He remembers a creature who respected him and gave him advice about life.
The prince has finally figured out and shares his solution to the Goodwill Ambassador, "Blablanadon once said to me, an alive being is tastier."
"Perhaps," Lady Lima guesses, "you are saying that the Cola should be tastier? Or…"
"Maybe the Chuckolator, the monster," Prince Peasley answered, "if it can be brought back to life, can have its quality enhanced that the effects would rid the Bellech Worm off queen mother for good."
Lady Lima inquired from the prince, "What do we do?"
Prince Peasley answered, "Bubbles bubbled the Cola to life with coke jokes."
The Goodwill Ambassador thinks of one and says her joke beside the mutated Queen Bean, "Okay, how about this? Where do miners work? The Cola mine!"
Queen Bean's mouth released a fizz of carbonated Chuckola Cola as everyone inside the throne room stand as witness.
"It's working," Prince Peasley praised Lady Lima, "Quick, think of another joke. You're really good at this."
Lady Lima quickly comes up with another and tells the joke, "We don't like hot cokes, why? Because they're baking soda!"
The Chuckola Cola carbonated again. The mutated queen released fizz again. She starts shaking wildly as the queen continued to release carbonated Cola from her mouth. Eventually, those who are inside the throne room are surprised to hear a slight roar inside Queen Bean.
The Bellech Worm has finally come out of Queen Bean's mouth. A Beanish troop kicked the worm flying through a window. Queen Bean has finally calmed down; the muscles on her arms and body slowly become fat as the cured queen of Bean-bean Kingdom went to a calm rest.
Everybody sighed in relief.
In the nick of time, Blablanadon flew and entered the throne room of the castle.
Beanardo calls out his name, "Blablanadon, your presence is irregular."
"Who cares?!" Blablanadon warned them out of panic, "Cackletta has captured Jojora and took her hostage in Woohoo Hooniversity!"
"Worse yet," Beanardo added, "while the prince was out to find the long-lost Chuckola Cola as we restrain the queen in her rampaged state, Cackletta stole the Beanstar."
Prince Peasley yelled in fear, "All troops to Woohoo Hooniversity!"
The prince rides on his winged board and stomps on the front of the board, making a swift head-start to leave the castle, and then quickly flying off to the academy located in the southeast of Bean-bean Fields. Beanardo proceeds to lead every castle troop to march to a green Warp Pipe by the west of the castle to be transported to the east of Bean-bean Fields; there are no other Warp Pipes near or in Woohoo Hooniversity.
Inside the academy, Cackletta has a conscious Jojora surrounded by a burning ring of fire on the floor. The Beanish witch opens a dark hole, which summons the Beanstar. She places the wish-granting relic floating in front of her hostage.
"Prince Peasley will stand no chance against me," Cackletta boasted to instill fear on Jojora, "it is certain that he will get past the Laser Guys. Their masks are failed experiments by the academy I salvaged for my own need. Their masks cover their bodies with fabric and took over their minds, assimilating their loyalty to me as programmed."
The pair begin to hear sounds of lasers shooting inside rooms that lead to where Cackletta and Jojora are.
Prince Peasley has entered the academy, angrily slashing at the Laser Guys with his sword and dodging their lasers while riding on his winged board. The prince shouted at Cackletta from the entrance hall, "Halt your misdeeds and fight me, Cackletta!"
The prince has flown through several Laser Guys before going through two stellar-themed rooms. He enters a backstage-styled, factory-like room full of machinery, where he encounters the infamous Beanish witch on the center of the room.
Cackletta responds to the prince, "Loathsome pest at the worst possible moment! I don't have time to deal with you!"
"You ceased regardless," the prince confidently noted to the Beanish witch.
Cackletta cackles amusingly and says to him, "Why so confident, prince of Bean-bean Kingdom? Still think your years of training could defeat me? Trick me into falling for an impostor like that measly Tanoomba?"
Prince Peasley gasps when his plan has been foiled. He grits his teeth in an angry manner and points his sword at the Beanish witch to challenge her.
"Well, won't this be fun!" Cackletta accepts the prince's challenge in readiness, "Oh, yes! If that's how it is, I'm ready for you, prince of Bean-bean Kingdom! No matter the status or sword you possess, I take the liberty of knocking you all the way back to the Bean-bean Castle!"
Cackletta raises both of her arms, revealing black wings under her sleeve before growing in a monstrous size. She roars at the prince and stares at him with crazed pink eyes. Dark holes open under Cackletta as they proceed to move and float towards the flying prince.
Prince Peasley makes steps on his board to make twists and turns to avoid the dark holes, which disappears when dodged. The monstrously-grown Cackletta also summons lightning bolts crashing down from the ceiling, but the prince manages to avoid every lightning bolt.
Cackletta returns to her original form. Prince Peasley jumped off his board to strike the Beanish witch with his sword, but Cackletta quickly reacted by opening a dark hole under her and falls down. The prince lands on the floor.
Noticing Cackletta's absence, Prince Peasley runs towards the imprisoned Jojora and shouts her name on his way, "Jojora!"
But three dark holes suddenly open up on the floor between Jojora and Prince Peasley. Three Beanish witches appear from the holes and fired a combined lightning strike at Prince Peasley, knocking him away, but the prince managed to land his feet on the floor.
"Which is the real me?" Cackletta, three of them, quizzed the prince.
"What's the difference?" Prince Peasley muttered out of annoyance as he charges at one of them and swishes his sword.
The real Cackletta is struck, prompting the two other fakes to merge themselves with the real Beanish witch to regain her divided powers. Cackletta groaned and raised her left arm. Prince Peasley shields himself with his sword as a lightning bolt struck down to him is nullified.
Cackletta proceeds to transform into a swarm of bees flying straight towards Prince Peasley. The prince quickly flaunts his golden hair, reflecting the light of the Beanstar to dazzle to cause the ugly green bats to fly blindly inside the room. As the light goes off, the bats see the prince running towards Jojora.
The ugly green bats quickly regrouped in front of Prince Peasley to spit out a combined fireball, but the prince bravely went through with his sword pointed at the fireball to pierce its center to destroy his fiery obstacle. Prince Peasley is slightly damaged, however, as a consequence of his risk, but he continues to charge forward.
Prince Peasley uses his sword to impressively and swiftly strike every ugly green bat in his way. He is about to arrive by the snow witch's side, but the bats reformed back into Cackletta as she opens a dark hole on the prince's steps. Though the prince manages to jump over, Cackletta anticipates this by opening up another dark hole on the prince's determined landing.
He falls through it. Cackletta cackles victoriously and opens a dark hole in the ceiling, summoning Prince Peasley to fall on the ground. The prince felt heavy, struggling to lift himself up.
"What a baby!" Cackletta mocked the prince for being inflicted with the curse of heaviness.
But the prince managed to stand up to the curse and his own armor. He groaned and reminded to the Beanish witch of his training, "I lifted boulders! Not as heavy as this or your weight!"
The Beanish witch is unfazed by the insult and asked in response, "Even in pain?"
Cackletta points her finger at the prince, releasing a spark of electricity to electrocute the prince. Prince Peasley yelled in pain. When the electrocution has ceased, he knelt down and fell on his face. He raised his face up to look at Cackletta. The prince keeps a straight and determined face to go on. The Beanish witch admires the prince's determination to go on. Prince Peasley crawls towards Cackletta, who backs away slowly towards Jojora and the Beanstar.
"Go on," the Beanish witch said to the prince, "I dare you. Save Jojora first."
Cackletta moves aside, giving path for Prince Peasley to crawl towards her. As the prince desperately made his way to Jojora, the Beanish witch grinned and opened a dark hole under the prince, who holds his cursed weight onto a ledge, the floor itself.
Jojora looks at her lover with teary-eyed sadness, which Prince Peasley expresses the same out of despair. Cackletta snickers and uses her magic to shrink the dark hole a bit to get the prince a bit far from Jojora.
Prince Peasley finally lets go, much to Cackletta's amusement. A dark hole opened in the ceiling again and Prince Peasley fell down again on his face. His head raised and laid down on the floor as his eyes are set to look at Cackletta, Jojora and the Beanstar.
Cackletta cackled and said, "At long last, no more obstruction. Your reinforcements, I suspect, will arrive shortly when they learned I disabled the transportation technology with the controls here inside the academy."
The prince starts to crawl again, but his body is heavy and weak. He could not go on. He only crawled a few steps towards them.
The Beanish witch ordered the snow witch, "It is time, Jojora. Speak your voice before the Beanstar. Do so and I promise you and Prince Peasley will be wished for a good life. I offer no more tricks as gratitude."
Prince Peasley continued to crawl again, but Cackletta made her first and only warning to Jojora by striking a lightning bolt at her lover. The prince stopped; his eyes remained open as witness to the event.
"Wait," the prince cried out weakly, "I-It's a trick, Cackletta… we know, b-but you… you won anyway… let me tell J-Jojora…" he weakly said to Jojora, "Y-You're hot… and cold at t-the same time…"
Cackletta allows the prince to say his last words to Jojora, who also expresses her defeat as she listens to Prince Peasley.
The prince continued, "It was g-gross first when I saw you… naked. Then, it w-was love when I saw what you… truly are. You're… y-you're fun… and funny and many things I find a-amusing about you I c-can't describe now, but… I love… I love you… my princess..."
Prince Peasley dropped his head on the floor when his breath has wasted away for last words.
Cackletta felt touched for a moment with nods and quietly yet sarcastically said to them, "Now, I'll actually do out of pity."
No more stalling when the prince is about to die, so Jojora finally spoke for Peasley's life, "I love you, too!"
Her mouth released sparkles when she spoke. The glittering sparkles are absorbed by the Beanstar, which shines in reaction. Cackletta gasps in surprise when the Beanstar reacted.
"More!" Cackletta orders Jojora.
The snow witch cried out in sadness for her lover, "Let me go! Let me go! I have to be with Peasley! I have to! Don't go yet, Peasley, my love!"
The Beanstar proceeded to absorb more of Jojora's voice as the relic shines brightly. Cackletta cackles and holds the Beanstar in her hands. She waits for the Beanstar to open its eyes as a sign of its awakening.
But as Jojora continues to cry, the Beanstar's color has suddenly turned red, much to Cackletta's horrific surprise. Jojora stopped crying to look at the angered Beanstar. She is suddenly shielded by a thick, hollow ice block, so is the unconscious Prince Peasley.
With no time left, the Beanstar released a strong explosion. The Beanish witch inevitably burns away without a single mark left behind in the explosion. Prince Peasley and Jojora are shielded as the Woohoo Hooniversity is wholly destroyed.
The Beanish, every of them in the kingdom, witness the green-colored explosion. They spot four pieces of dazzling green debris flying out in separate locations in the kingdom. The Beanish are confused what to expect about their fates, so do the creatures of Bean-bean Kingdom.
In the remains of Woohoo Hooniversity, which remains nothing but floor, the blocks of ice have not shattered, but they do now out of will. Prince Peasley falls on the floor.
Jojora hurries towards her injured lover and checks on him, "Peasley? Please wake up. Wake up! Y-You don't have to fight anymore! Cackletta's gone, the kingdom is saved…"
But the prince is not waking up. Jojora sobs as she places him on the floor. She begins to look around to search for an item, anything that could cure the prince. But she managed to find nothing in the ruins of Woohoo Hooniversity.
But then, she starts to hear Prince Peasley coughing. Jojora rushes towards the prince's side and asks in concern, "Are you okay?"
"Yes..." Prince Peasley weakly answered, "as everything... should be."
Jojora lifts Prince Peasley to hug him. The prince looked behind the snow witch to see another Jojora. He confusedly mumbled to the Jojora hugging him, "A-Am I seeing two of you?"
Jojora turned around to see the other Jojora. The snow witch giggles and answers, "No, that's a Tanoomba disguised as me."
"But Cackletta said..." the prince recalls what the Beanish witch has said to them.
"I know," the snow witch replied, "but on our way to Joke's End, another Tanoomba came to us and became a precaution in case your plan failed without another Tanoomba."
The other Jojora transforms back into a Tanoomba. The other Tanoomba also revealed itself. They both proceed to flap their tails to fly away. Jojora witnesses the departure of the Tanoombas and makes a grateful gesture before they disappear into the clouds of the clear sky.
Prince Peasley weakly laughs and snuggles onto Jojora's arms. A group of Beanish troops arrived at the remains of Woohoo Hooniversity. The prince closes his eyes to rest up his energy; his last sight was to see Jojora.
Only silence reigns for the victorious day, not of sadness though. Two Beanish troops carried the prince on opposite sides while one troop is to lead his fellow troops and Jojora out of the academy. When they arrived at Bean-bean Fields on their way back to town, the Beanish townspeople who evacuated from their town watched the troops carry the injured prince. As peace has been achieved, the townspeople praised their prince out of gratefulness; they cried and cheered.
Jojora smiles, looking at her lover's sword, rusted by the explosion, in her hands.
