A/N: Sorry sorry! 2 months later I know I am awful. However I have a surprise for all my readers at the end of this chapter. Some sections of this chapter were harder to write than others. Some characters feel rather out of character but I couldn't word things the right way to make them feel like their personality so I left it how I wrote it and I hope it's not too terrible. Secondly, I debated hardcore about if I should post tonight or wait till the 18th since the 18th marks the 1 year anniversary of UE being created. I am so proud of myself for how far I have came with this story and not abandoning. I am in it till the end! I also already have outline going for a second series- Ciel will most like be part of it for those of you who have came to love my OC.

Let me know how you feel about this chapter. I was trying to wrap the fights up, but there was absolutely no fucking way that was happening and I don't like my chapters being over 7WC on a chapter and it would have probably turned out a lot long than that..heck this chapter is over 6K in WC.

Any who, don't mind me I'm rambling. I hope you enjoy.

~~~Chapter Thirty-Two~~~
Jellal clenched his teeth as he shrugged his cloak off his arm as he pressed his hands together, his lips started moving with no sound. The sky started darkening as the wind picked up. Natsu dropped to the ground landing on his feet with one palm pressed to the ground.
"About time." Cobra's voice carried with the wind from Jellal's chant as he kneeled pressing the palm of both hands to the ground. A magic circle formed beneath him, spinning as beams shot up towards the sky.
"Sacred song." The words left the lips of the light mage. The attack originated from Mystogan but he comprehended how the attack worked; which abled him to create a similar version with his own flare and some minor altercations because he didn't have his mock staves with him. A magic circle engulfed the area above them.
"Damn it Jellal, are you trying to take us out too?" Cobra hissed as he covered his face as the wind picked up, the sky thundering. A fire ball zoomed passed Jellal's face before it exploded to the side of him as Natsu intercepted a sneak attack from Gaby.
"A heads up would have been nice." Natsu grumbled as he peered from the corner of his eyes at the two whom stared curiously up at the attack Jellal was planning. By the sight on their faces, they were curious more so then worried which irked the fire dragon slayer. Jellal's attack released exploded the area that once stood their opponents. Natsu raised his arms up to cover his face from the debris flying towards them as Cobra hopped back with a hiss as a rock grazed his cheek. Jellal was still kneeling on the ground as the magic circle dissipated as the attack ended.
"I hope this so-called plan of yours worked." Cobra yelled as he ran his fingers through his auburn locks before sticking his pinky finger into his ear to try and stop the ringing. Dust surrounded them clouding their vision. There was coughing in the distance which only made Jellal still as those coughs didn't belong to the trio.
"That was some neat tricks you got there. Gotta try harder." Ryu stated as he tossed a rock off to the side before extending a hand to his injured mute partner. Gaby grasped Ryu's hand stumbling up- she grasped at his arm as her ankle tried collapsing beneath her. She winced and opened her mouth to hiss, but only a gargle noise left her. "Gaby?" He looked down at his companion as his eyes widened to see her injured ankle.
Gaby with shaky hands half signed to Ryu before dropping her hands back to her side. Ryu raised a brow in surprised as he signed back. "You want to do what?" He asked wanting her to repeat what she said. He watched her roll her brown eyes as she shifted more of her weight into his side. She signed again at him before narrowing her eyes at him. Ryu sucked the inside of his cheek between his teeth before letting out a nervous sigh. He bent down and scooped Gaby up behind her knees and cradled her to his chest. "I hope you know what you're getting us into." He mumbled quietly to her. He turned towards Jellal. Cobra, and Natsu.
"Uncle. You win this. May luck be with you all once Britton and Ophelia get a hold of ya'll...now I just have to worry about them chasing after us." He said mumbling the last part mainly for them although Cobra snorted.
"Running with your tail between your legs, now are you?" Cobra asked. Natsu's fists turned glowed as his fire got riled up.
"You think after all this I'll let you guys go?" Natsu asked pissed as he went to charge for the injured but Jellal reached out and grabbed his by the ankle.
"Leave it Natsu. If they want to flee, so be it. It'll be one less fight therefore we can go reinforce the others." He said releasing the slayers ankle as he stood up wiping off his pants and flipping his hood back over his head as it was flung down from his attack. Natsu wanted to argue. He had no intention of killing, that's for sure, but these people attacked them or at least that's what he assumed since he had only just arrived after everything went down.
"Fine." Natsu said as his flames extinguished. Ryu turned around and sprinted off with his injured teammate before the group could change their minds and decide to finish them off. He already knew, he was a dead man once Ophelia gets wind that he and Gaby failed the mission and ran away.
"Let's go back to Laxus's. That's where the brunt of the attack was at from my understanding." Jellal said rubbing his chin. "And Meredy is there."
"I'm going to the guild." Natsu announced turning the opposite direction. "I need to see Lucy." He said with a wave. Cobra wacked him over the head as he passed him causing Natsu to growl and turned around to swing at the poison slayer.
"Get over yourself. Lucy is well more protected than those at the house. It was bad. The leader is there. We need you to come with us." Cobra demanded as he stuck his hands in his pocket and started back towards Laxus's house. "And don't forget, Dragon went after her. Let him handle it as her mate. She would be rather pissed to know if you all you were worried about is her wellbeing then helping those in need knowing they need your help. But suit yourself." Natsu shot Jellal a look. Jellal pursed his lips and gave a short shrug signaling that the poison slayer was right and turned to follow Cobra.
"Bite me." Natsu spat but started following their lead towards the lightening dragon slayers house. He hated that they were right, but Lucy was the only goal on his mind and he couldn't shake it. It wasn't like him at all, he knew Lucy could handle herself perfectly fine so why was it bothering him so much now?
"Want me to fly you?" Happy asked speaking up after being so quiet. Which wasn't normal for the exceed either. Normally the exceed always had something to say rather it be plain stupid or undeniably smart.
"Sure, little buddy." Natsu smiled at Happy as Happy wrapped his paws on the back of Natsu's vest and lifted him up. "Meet you guys there." Natsu called down as he ascended into the air. Jellal and Cobra took off in a sprint as Happy flew Natsu but what they didn't know he had planned to back track regardless. He knew Cobra already heard his thoughts, loud and clear because he didn't need to see the need to guard them. He got what they were trying to say, but his mind was set on one goal and one goal only.
Evergreen bit her lip as she was waiting for Bickslow signal for her to book it. She had a horrible feeling about fleeing and leaving the seith mage behind along with a stone Freed. She could release the stone at any given time, that wasn't the issue- the issue was that they didn't know if the Freed that would unfold be the real Freed or the mind controlled Freed.
"Whatever you're trying to plan, it's not going to work." Ophelia said as she started taking steps towards the two fairy tail mages. Evergreen bit her lip as she took a cautious step backwards, Bickslow stood his ground as his totems circle above his and her heads.
Bickslow squinted his eyes in quick thought. He just needed to buy time so he could signal for the fairy mage to escape. That is all he really cared about at that moment. "Why do you assume we are planning something?" He questioned back folding his arms across his chest.
"Bickslow." Evergreen hissed quietly. "This isn't going to work." Her eyes stayed glued to Ophelia as she talked through her teeth. Bickslow ignored her which resulted in her huffing in annoyance.
"The female makes it obvious." Ophelia said as she shortened the distance between them. "The way she keeps looking at you, trying to be discreet when talking to you. Whatever the plan is, she's not agreeing with."
"Excuse me?" Evergreen growled. She felt offended to say the least. The nerve of this woman to sit there and try to act like she knew what was going on. "I'm not sure what you think we have planned but I have you know our plan is to defeat you." Bickslow moved himself to stand in front of a furious Evergreen as his totems moved before him in a circular rotation.
"Before you start sprouting nonsense, do know who you are messing with? I am the master of this group. I am known as the wizard of trickery and dark forbidden magic. And in my taste, you don't have what it takes to defeat me. None of you wizards do. Not even that pitiful, pathetic cousin of Britton's." Ophelia announced as she pulled a ponytail to the front of her and started stroking the dark strands. "It's a shame. I haven't had a decent fight in ages." She stopped stroking her hair before a sinister smile stole her lips. Cackles sounded before black energy radiated from Ophelia as she causally called forth her power.
Evergreen reached out and clutched at Bickslow's elbow as she whimpered behind him. She knew her gut feeling was right. She knew something bad was about to happen and Bickslow kept blowing her off as if nothing would go wrong. How could nothing go wrong? It went wrong the moment they ran into the damn master of all evil doers. She knew he was only trying to protect his friends, his family. She also full well knew that every member of Fairy Tail had evolved exceptionally as a guild and their magic power. What she was worried about was the fact, they may have met their match, a battle they may not be able to bounce back from. This was nothing like Spriggan 12. This power surpasses that of even Zeref.
Bickslow glanced at his teammate from the corner of his eye to see the frightened look on her face. He knew he was over his head on this, but what do you do? His leader was lying on the grassy terrain in a stone encasement, his boss is off chasing after their celestial mage. The rest of his guild were off dealing with their own fights. He needed some type of miracle. He didn't care what kind but for their sakes anything was better than the predicament they were standing in now.
"Please tell me you have a plan." Evergreen asked from behind him. His shoulders tensed up because he didn't know how to admit to his teammate that they were ultimately screwed. Well they did have another option one she probably has tossed around in her brain as well.
"Release the spell on Freed." Bickslow finally responded after tossing the idea back and forth in his head. He had no idea what to expect when she releases the spell, but he had to just hope for the best.
"What? Are you sure?" She asked releasing his elbow and turning towards Freed. Bickslow stayed directly in front of her still shielding her from Ophelia. She watched his head nod with a slight bob as she bit her lip with anxiousness as he never verbally responded. She figured it was to keep the talking to a minimal, so Ophelia didn't catch onto them. Although it always seemed like the wicked lady was one step a head of them.
A movement out of the corner of her eye caught her off guard causing her to release and ear-piercing scream as she stumbled backwards tripping over her own two feet. Bickslow dodged Ophelia's charge as she disappeared and reappeared in the distance between the two fairy tail mages. Evergreen scrambled to her hands and knees as she pushed herself up to get away.
"Huh, it seems I have missed. That's disappointing." Ophelia said smiling. "However, that was a nice warm up. I won't miss a second time." Her body was surrounded in the black energy once again.
"Now." Bickslow yelled over his shoulder towards the brunette. Evergreen closed her eyes releasing the spell she had over Freed as the stone started to recede and eventually disappeared without a trace. The leader of the Thunder Legion still lied on the grass with his green hair splayed around him, his arms to the sides of him while his eyes were still opened as he stared up into the blue tundra of the sky. Although, he thought the sky was dull and not the vibrant happiness it usually radiated. There were no birds in the sky, dark clouds were coming in from the east. If he remembered right, it wasn't supposed to rain today so what was going on?
"Freed!" A feminine voice yelled with panic catching his attention. He pushed himself up to his palms, his hair falling over his shoulders as he looked over in the direction from where the voice called him. What the hell happened? "Thank god it's you." Evergreen said distraught as she crawled to him before roughly sitting on her legs.
"What's going on?" He asked. His eyes strayed to the pair in the distance as he watched Bickslow dodge another attack aimed at him as it headed straight towards him and Evergreen. His eyes widened as he grabbed Evergreen by her bicep and dragged them both out of the path of the attack.
"So, you don't remember? Usually my stone can still let you hear your surroundings." Evergreen mumbled as she untangled herself from him to sit up. Freed looked at her with a confused look before peering down.
"I'm sorry. I don't." He finally replied standing up as he stretched a handout to his partner. She accepted his hand in helping her up. Freed took a good look at his fairy partner as he tried piecing together the situation. She had no shoes, her stockings were torn in several places, her hair was disarrayed, and she didn't have her glasses on. He then turned his attention towards his other partner who was starting to look worn down as he panted, his breaths causing his body to heave from the lack of oxygen.
Bickslow knew his time was coming up short. He took one deeper intake of breath before calming his body. He knew this was going to be a long shot due to what her magic was but taking the chance was better than never trying. He reached up to his head as he slowly took it off his head, revealing the dark blue hair, almost black looking, that was hidden under the helmet. He kept his eyes closed as he tossed the helmet to the side. His totems circled in front of him as he fixed his footing.
"What's this?" Ophelia asked amused with curiosity. The static never left her figure. She was starting to get bored as she started to stroke her hair once again. She could have taken them all out already, but she also enjoyed toying with people. These fools in front of her were weak and it would be a pity to not even let them put up a fight. Although, the mage who was trying to be all macho piqued her interest. She liked how gall this mage was, how determined he was to defeat her. But she knew he never would.
Bickslow opened his eyes as they glowed green as he connected with her eyes. He pulled on the soul possession but there was a block. He couldn't grasp the connection, frustrated and with a cry he pushed all his energy into the possession. Ophelia giggled as she pulled a curled finger to her lips as her shoulders shook.
"Silly man. You really think you could soul possess me when I have the same line of magic?" She asked. Bickslow didn't give up. He pushed more energy, remaining focused even with the woman before him taunting him.
Freed walked up to stand beside Bickslow as he unsheathed his sword, his eyes black with violet pupils. He turned towards Bickslow avoiding his eyes as he started to speak. "Go take a rest. I will handle it from here." He said. His voice made Bickslow break contact on his concentration as he turned to look at his leader as his eyes turned back to normal leaving them both wide open for a sneak attack.
"Freed." Bickslow said his name.
"Go take a rest and replenish your magic incase my plan fails. I need you to be ready." Freed said. "And Bickslow, if it comes down to it, kill me." Bickslow was dumbstruck at Freed's words but as he went to move his lips to protest, Freed started writing runes on his body, his lips moving silently. Vibrant purple wings protruded from his backside as his body started to transform. Horns grew from his forehead as his pale skin turned into a tough dark gray hue, the top of his tunic ripped as his body frame double in size.
"Idiot!" Evergreen yelled as she started to run towards them. Tears were in her eyes. She knew how much Freed hated using that spell. There was always a chance that the demonic aura could take over his soul. Not to mention, Ophelia wasn't a demon.
"Freed, what the hell are you doing!" Bickslow tried to swing at his leader but ended up hitting air and tripping forward as Freed's demonic form disappeared teleporting and landing behind Ophelia. Evergreen appeared at his side with horror in her eyes.
"GO!" The demonic voice roared at them pointing towards the house. There was another explosion sounding from over that way as a portion of the house that wasn't damaged now crumbling towards the other debris. Evergreen grabbed Bickslow hand and started dragging him towards the direction of the house, tears falling down her cheeks as he ran as fast as she could.
"Well, well." Ophelia smiled turning around releasing black energy towards the demonic Freed. He moved his face slightly to the side as it skimmed the side of his face. "Now this is what I call a challenge."
"I will not let you win." The demonic voice growled. Freed knew in his conscious this form wasn't a form to take lightly, and he knew the consequences but what other choice did he have?
Meredy flinched as debris pelted her every time Delilah set off an explosion. At one point she bit her tongue, tasting the metallic in her mouth when a rock was heading towards Levy's head, she instantly threw herself over the petite woman as shield only to hear a crunch as her teeth bit into the pink flesh.
Gray was in bad shape. He had to reform the ice brace every so often to try and keep his arm from hanging loosely from the break. And every time he performed the brace, it was one handed which made the ice vulnerable to being damaged far easily.
"Do you want to switch out?" Meredy asked cringing as another explosion sounded as Gray jumped backwards before making a sloppy landing as he fell to his back a few feet away from her. His chest was rising and falling at an incredible rate- she knew the ice mage was beyond exhausted and therefore in pain. He didn't have enough energy or power to draw on his demon slayer magic, otherwise he would have already called upon it.
"Poison dragon roar!" A blast squealed past them towards Delilah's whose face quickly turned to shock as she tried to dodge the roar, but the roar nicked her shoulder. She cried out with a sob as her hand instantly moved to her shoulder.
Meredy jumped up after the attack was finished to see Cobra and Jellal standing off to the side. She smiled at them as Jellal started towards her. He stopped in front of Levy, kneeling to feel her neck.
"She's a live but she's in bad shape. Gray has a broken arm and not fairing well himself." She commented. Jellal felt a pulse on his fingers, her heart rate was a little high, but nothing dangerous.
"Are you alright Meredy?" Jellal asked turning to look at her as he withdrew his hand from Levy's neck standing up. She nodded at him as he turned his attention to the ice make mage who was still lying in the grass heaving for air as Cobra jumped down next to him.
"Gray?" Jellal called. Gray lifted his arm that wasn't broken and gave a half ass wave as he let it slam back into the ground.
"I just need a minute." Gray said between breaths. The ground beneath them started shaking as an earth-shaking roar resonated in the air- almost mimicking that of Acnologia. Meredy brought her hands up to her ears trying to close out the cry. Gray groaned rolling to his belly trying to shove one ear into the ground while covering the other one. Cobra felt like his brain was going to mush if the dragon cry kept going. He dropped to his knees his teeth clenched as he released a cry of pain. He felt liquid trickle through his fingers as his ears started to bleed.
The cry finally ended as Delilah collapsed to the ground, herself affected by the cry as she was thrown off guard. Levy twitched before releasing a painful and hoarse sob. Her body hurt so bad, she wanted to be put out of her misery.
A man got sailed through the opening in the wall, flipping as he landed on his feet skidding back as the force buried his feet into the soil. Gajeel appeared at the edge with his entire body covered in metal scales and a very pissed look. Ox raised a brow at the sudden fury, but he wasn't going to complain. Delilah groan as she sat up with her feet outstretched before her.
"What happened?" She asked in a daze as she turned towards Ox.
"Apparently he's serious now." Ox announced somewhat delighted. Delilah's mouth turned into an O shape before she jumped to her feet, bouncing from side to side.
Gajeel jumped off the ledge landing with a thud on his feet kicking up dust. He breathed heavily through his nostrils as his eyes caught sight of blue hair. His balled-up hands clenched harder into a fist as he released a threatening growl.
"Stop it Gaj." A quiet voice mumbled. He was fairly certain no one else heard it but he certainly did. It was definitely her voice- his best friend, his mate. He was sure she would be dead after an impact like that especially to the chest. His partner in crime was badass, that was something he couldn't deny. Levy was badass and she was a tough chick. Still- she still didn't deserve to be in pain, to be hurt, to be in this predicament. She was only a defense mage, not offensive. It made him angry all over again at himself for not seeing what Ox was planning to do.
He did a cheap shot.
A fume hit his nose as he sniffed the air. He heard the movement to the side of him as someone was approaching. His eyes slid to the corners as he noticed the auburn-haired poison slayer stopping beside him with one eye closed and his hands shoved into his pockets.
"She's going to be fine. I can hear her..she's pissed at you man." Cobra told the iron slayer as he examined their two opponents. "What's the catch on these two?"
Gajeel's eyes turned back towards Ox and Delilah with malice. "The big one is mine. Back off. The other one has been battling with Gray. She blows things up or some shit." He cracked his knuckles. "Where is she, bunny?" He asked.
"I assume at the guild hall. We all had to part ways due to all the battles. Last I seen her she was with Ciel." Cobra sighed rubbing his hand through his hair. Gajeel nodded in response.
"Iron dragon roar!" He roared as the wave of magic expelled from his mouth towards the two opponents taking them off guard.
Jellal squatted down beside Gray as he watched Cobra and Gajeel converse. Gray was starting to cold sweat which was very off for the ice make mage. His skin was clammy and sticky that made Jellal scrunch his nose to the touch.
"I'm fine." Gray said cracking an eye open as he turned his head to look at Jellal. Jellal pinched his lips but nodded trying to not doubt Gray's word. Gajeel's dragon roar was loud but nothing like the last roar. "This has been nothing but a shit show huh." Jellal glanced back down catching Gray's eyes. "Poor Wendy, she's going to be exhausted from all the healing she'll have to perform."
Jellal nodded. "Lucy has a spirit that can perform minor healing as well then there's that healer that you guys use quite often. And Meredy knows basic first aid."
"I guess you're right." Gray chuckled bring the palm of his good hand to his forehead. Meredy walked up to them with a small smile.
"She's coherent." Meredy announced. "And she's pissed at Gajeel." She relayed turning towards the script mage whose eyes were now open, but her face showed pain.
"Why is she pissed at him for?" Gray asked as he lifted his hand up.
"Because he's letting rage take him over." Meredy fiddled with the end of her hair twisting in between her fingers.
"HEY!" Voices yelled startling the small group. In the distance was five totems weaving in all different directions disoriented, a helmetless Bickslow and a blind Evergreen running towards the group as Evergreen was waving her hand in the air profusely as she huffed for air.
"Bickslow? Evergreen?" Gray asked tilting his head back to see the pair appear upside down. Evergreen leaned her hands on her knees as she gasped for air. "What the hell happened to you guys?"
Evergreen snorted. "I think the same question applies to you." Her eyes were red, and her cheeks were still tear stained which caught Gray's attention. But since he really really didn't want to get involved into something sappy, he decided against asking and figured if they wanted to talk about it, they would bring it up.
"Living the dream, you know loving life." He said sarcastically with the roll of his eyes. "One of her blasts broke my arm and it's the arm I summon my slayer magic with so I can't rely on that and I've been doing one handed maker magic which makes the summon weak."
"Damn." Bickslow said avoiding any eye contact as his eyes however did land on his suspicions from earlier. "Levy." Levy turned her head towards the direction her name was called, her brown eyes now beaming with determination.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." She said quietly but not being able to hide the wince from the pain. "Okay, maybe it's a little painful but nothing I can't handle." Meredy walked back over to her as she mumbled a few words before Levy nodded as she accepted Meredy's hand that helped raise her to a sitting position. Levy leaned all her weight into Meredy's side as her eyes searched for Gajeel.
"Where's Freed?" Gray asked curious but instantly regretted it once he witnessed their faces falling to his name. "Bickslow." He knew if he asked Evergreen, she would probably start crying again which could also explain the after math of her tear stains.
"He's fine...sort of." He said rubbing the back of his head. "He's uh in a form, a forbidden one he's not supposed to be using. We happened to go up against their leader. It's a long story." The last part came out quiet and a mumble as he turned away and it didn't help that Gray was laying beneath them on the ground already far away from his mouth as it was.
"Forbidden?" Jellal questioned confused. "I didn't know he knew any forbidden spells."
Evergreen nodded. "It's forbidden because it's a demonic form. And the type of form he has can take his soul over if he's not careful, but this demonic form specializes in darkness."
"Even so, isn't that similar to Mira's take over?" Gray asked as he finally willed the strength to push himself up into a sitting position. Evergreen and Bickslow look at each other.
"Mira had been proven more demonic in her Satan soul, but Freed would never use that form's true potential on family." Evergreen answered.
"He will be fine. Freed's a fairy tail member. We don't get our asses kicked. We kick the ass." Levy said with determination. All the mages turned towards the script mage as she was still sitting up leaning into Meredy.
"You're right. I don't think Freed would appreciate the doubt. I may not know his power very well, but he will succeed. I've seen fairy tail literally come back from the grave." Jellal said seriously as Gray laughed into his hand.
"Isn't that the truth." He agreed.
"HEADS UP!"
Erza and Ciel both charged at Britton from opposing sides. Two on one wasn't fair, but this game that Britton was playing wasn't fair so why should Ciel play fair? He leaped into the air, twisting as his foot connected with Britton's forearm as Erza came from below to try and knock Britton out by his knees. Britton leaned back before releasing a pulse of magic that mirrored Ciel's knocking both fairy tail mages back.
"This isn't getting us anywhere." Ciel complained giving Britton a dirty look. Like Ciel, Erza was starting to get flustered herself, they had been going at this for hours, the sun was starting to set, and they were back right where they had started.
"Need some help?" A familiar voice asked as the surrounding area temperature went up as they all turned to see a smirking fire dragon slayer. Natsu's body was on fire, parts of his body covered in scales. "Have you guys seen Lucy?" He asked turning towards Erza and Ciel.
"Last I seen, her and Loke headed for the guild hall. Laxus came through here a few hours ago himself." Erza said keeping an eye on Britton who was eavesdropping openly to their conversation.
"Hmm, this Lucy Heartfilia seems to have such great friends who care deeply for her." Britton gathered as Natsu growled at him for even letting Lucy's name roll off his lips. "I wonder what would happen if I simply took her out…hmm? Considering that the Phantom Star is in her possession and that's what I seek." He snapped his fingers disappearing in an instant.
"He's going after Lucy." Ciel said quickly as he turned on his heel and sprinted towards the guild hall, Happy picking a rampaging Natsu up and flying him in the air as Erza ran along side Ciel.
"I'm not understanding this sudden change of intentions with him." Erza said between breaths as they caught sight of Britton's back.
"To be honest, this may all just be one big game to him. I'm to the point I'm not entirely sure what is going on." Ciel admitted. "Now I question everything about the Sirius family." Natsu's voice sounded above them as he released a roar of fire directed at Britton who instant transport around it as the fire scalded the side of a building.
"Natsu, careful where you're attacking!" Erza yelled waving smoke from her face as they jumped through it. A lot was running through her mind. She wasn't used to this much confusion. She wasn't used to this much of struggle- not that Tartaros or the battle with the Spriggan 12 wasn't a struggle but this was flat out just tedious. Erza knew she was strong considering she didn't get her nick name for shit and giggles. What she wanted to know is why this group of people after the Phantom Star is connected to the eclipse gate incident back in X777. And why did Ciel help assist them in the whole situation? Although, she couldn't really say a whole lot considering Lucy's mother and ancestor were the one's whom opened the gates between the two time periods and Anna was friend of Zeref's and the dragons.
She had respect for Ciel, and she did trust him- but she sensed there was a lot he needed to still tell them. But she knew she couldn't really hold anything against him since everyone has their own demons, their own pasts. She wanted to know what he exactly did when he got captured by Diabolos, she wanted to know more about his history and his personality back then.
Britton tossed a glance over his shoulder, a chuckle leaving his mouth as he mumbled suckers under his breath. He could see Sake in the distance which meant he was close to where he wanted to be. Where he wanted to be is where one Lucy Heartfilia was located.
"Oh no you don't!" Ciel yelled as he slid on a leg like sliding into a soft ball base reaching up wrapping his arms around Britton as he twisted them both to tumbled until the pavement. Ciel groaned from the pavement burn he imagined he was going to have as he maneuvered to sit on top of Britton leaning back pinning his legs down as Natsu slapped a sandal foot on the guys chest to keep his upper half still while Erza pointed a sword at his neck.
"You think we would just freely let you waltz into our guild hall to hurt one of our own?" Erza asked in a low tone. "I don't care who the hell you think you are, but you will not lay a finger on her."
"Maybe I should break all those fingers to make sure of that." Natsu added popping his knuckles. "Threaten to take out my kin again." He twisted his heel on his chest as Britton smiled. Then his smile morphed into a laugh before it turned into hysterical. Ciel held on as tightly as he could with Britton twisting and turning from his laughing.
What they didn't know is that Britton was only buying time, trying to catch the attention his teammate that was only up a head dealing with his own matters. If he could be loud as he could for a period of time, it might be enough to catch Sake's attention to see his predicament. It wouldn't have been so bad it they all three weren't pinning him down but asking for help every now and again doesn't hurt and he knew Sake would just roll his eyes but come save him. Britton was more of a taunt, and he was hand to hand combat. His magic, his real magic was on a different level. Ciel only knew partial of his true magic and gave him the advantage but it also gave Britton an advantage for he didn't know the extent of his magic.
During his fit of laughing, he nonchalant turned his head over to locate Sake. Sake had just looked up and slowly turned his way after the ground had stopped rumbling, probably burying some poor soul alive but it wasn't his matter to deal with. What he wanted now was these morons off him.
Natsu's nose picked up the new scent as he looked over his shoulder, following Britton's line of vision at the burly man who was now staring at them. Britton settled down on his laughing after the man turned towards them. Natsu released his foot from the Britton's chest.
"He wasn't trying to be crazy he was trying to catch that guys attention to get in a cheap shot." Happy whined as he floated by Natsu's head. Natsu narrowed his eyes at the man, when his nose briefly caught another scent that was familiar but quickly vanished. Erza noticed Natsu's up turned nose as his nostrils flared in and out. She shifted the sword with the point touching Britton's bare skin.
"What is it Natsu?" she asked. Natsu sniffed the air again before his eyes widened.
"I think Laxus got buried alive."
Okay so your surprise is... a play list that was made just for this series. Yay! The songs that are currently in the playlist is just what i have for now. I will probably add songs as I go. Theres sad songs, happy songs, love songs etc. Each song is hand picked for a reason. Some songs are even dedicated to my lovely Ciel and his back story. Maybe after this is all said done, I'll do a small story about Ciel's past life that will involve Anna Heartfilia, Zeref, the dragons, etc. Feel free to message me or leave a review on what you think or even song suggestions to add to the series. Much love and thank you for reading chapter 32. I will see you for chapter 33. (PS make sure to download spotify in order to listen. It is a free app!)
