Aleisa read the letter in her hand quietly as she sat on the couch in the sitting area. Peter walked in to find her and sat down alongside his wife.
"What are you reading?" he asked, leaning over to glance at the letter.
"My cousin Bethany sent it. Along with the usual family update she explains that Uncle Ross left me some things in his will." She explained. Peter hummed thoughtfully.
"When is it coming over?" he inquired.
"Any minute now, I got the letter a few days ago and just now got around to looking at it." She explained. At that moment someone pulled up and knocked on their door.
"Perfect timing." She hummed, walking over to open the door. Standing aside she let the men take in the pieces of family furniture that she had been given. One particularly large piece had been covered with a large sheet. Not thinking much off it she decided to have a look at it once everything had been settled in the attic for the time being.
...
Once everything had been organized upstairs, Peter and Aleisa went up to get a better look at the objects. Aleisa beamed as she sat down in one of the rocking chairs, recognizing it as her grandmother's. To prove it she pointed out the dents and scratches that she may or may not have caused as a young child. Peter snickered as he watched his wife relive old memories. Finally they made their way over towards the covered piece. Peeling the cloth off the couple peered at it curiously.
"I completely forgot about this." Aleisa hummed, running her hand along the intricately carved mahogany closet. Her eyes scanned over the delicate leaves that stretched along the edges of the frame and the doors.
"It's beautiful craftsmanship." Peter muttered appreciatively as he walked around it.
"My great-grandfather made it. It's been in the family for years. I used to look at all the time when I would visit Uncle Ross'. It just seemed magical to me." She grinned thoughtfully. Peter eyed it when she mentioned that word.
"It reminds me a lot of the cabinet I first went through to Narnia." Peter paused and slowly looked over at his wife. She mirrored his curious expression.
"It wouldn't be…"
"No…of course not.." Peter agreed halfheartedly. Their eyes locked once more in silent conversation. Biting her lip Aleisa reached forward and yanked the cabinet door open. Nothing but a wooden back. She bit her lip and turned back to face her husband. Instantly the duo began laughing heartily. With a sigh she closed the door and walked back over towards Peter who wrapped his arm around her, still chuckling.
"If only huh?" he mused. Aleisa shrugged.
"I don't know. I'm pretty content with my life as it is." She grinned. Peter returned the gesture and leaned down to gently press a kiss to her lips.
"Me too." he agreed softly. Narnia had been the place to bring them together, but the time after had been the beginning of their best life. While it was nice to remember the old days, neither one of them would return to the magical land if it meant giving up what they currently had.

Days later, Aleisa walked into the living room where her husband was sitting in his chair, reading a book. She glanced around in confusion. The house had been unusually quiet for the last hour or so.
"Peter, do you know where the children are?" she asked, making her way over towards him. Peter set down his book and glanced up at her. His face scrunched in confusion as he realized their absence.
"I thought they were up in the attic but now that you mention it, I haven't heard anything for a while." He told her, standing up from his spot.
"They've been quiet for quite a while now." She confessed, her apprehension rising. This wasn't normal.
"I'm sure they're fine but let's go find them just in case." Peter suggested, knowing that his wife just needed to know. Aleisa grabbed his hand and started leading him up the stairs of their house. Peter chuckled from behind her, making her stop to look at him curiously.
"What?" she asked.
"Dear, I know where the attic is…..you don't have to lead me around my own house." he nodded towards their intertwined hands in amusement. Aleisa smiled sheepishly.
"I know that. I just like holding your hand." She pointed out coyly. Peter smiled down at her and leaned in for a quick kiss that she readily returned. Without another word the couple continued their way up the stairs. As they reached the stairs to the attic, they could hear loud thumping and groaning from above them. Peter and Aleisa shared a questioning glance and began their ascent. There they found their three children sprawled out on the floor in front of the old closet from her uncle's house. As their parents approached the three kids whipped their heads up to look at them wide eyed. Peter crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow questioningly.
"What exactly where you all doing in the closet?" he asked in amusement. The three shared glances in silent conversation. Finally, John spoke up.
"You wouldn't believe us if we told you." He answered sincerely, but an unknown glint was seen in his eyes. Seeing their awestruck expressions Aleisa and Peter shared their own look. They knew exactly what had happened. It seemed that Narnia was in need of another set of siblings to partake in the adventures it held. They beamed. Aleisa leaned down to their level, resting her hands on her knees.
"Try me." She told them, a smile breaking across her face. Their Narnian story had just come full circle.

Ah sad day :/ This story has come to a close. While I am sad to see it finish, everything must come to an end. Props to those that guessed this ending; honestly I had the end chapter written before I even started this story. It may be a bit cliche but a little cliche never hurt anyone. I hope you all enjoyed the series! Thanks for following it so closely this whole time.
