"So… why didn't you?" Haven blinked once, then twice, before turning her helm to face Mirage. His helm injury had been patched up by the young organics key, but still had yet to be repainted. The organics had volunteered their services, but he had, as politely as he could, declined.

"Why didn't I what?"

He rolled his optics, a habit he had picked up since he had left the Towers.

"You know what Haven."

The repair crew's medic had stepped out of the room to examine the case they were to give to the sparkling, and Mirage had seemed to decide that now was the opportune moment for a conversation.

"Why didn't I leave you? Why didn't I take the actual case and run as far as possible? Why didn't I use you as a way to get to 'our purpose'?" She raised her arms to make quotation marks, but let them fall with a wince. The aforementioned case was with the sparkling, who had accepted the gift with gratitude but hadn't understood what they were.

Well, no one did anyway, and the fact that she was of mixed heritage interested them.

"Yes."

"Because you're family Mirage, and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise."

"You did, and you would've lost had those 'Dinobots' not intervened." That was true. While Mirage had only needed the key to repair his helm, she needed it to repair her left arm and right leg, plus the several claw marks along the left of her frame. Had the Dinobots not come across the fight and scared off the Tracker, well...

"Pfft, sure. Whatever help you recharge during the night cycle."

A servo gently grabbed her own, and she curled her digits around it.

"Thank you."

Rix had been delicately lifting each disc and setting them back down, and she wasn't the only one interested in them. It had been an interesting event when the Dinobots had walked down the street carrying the battered and bruised Guardians, and the lecture that Optimus had given Prowl and Bulkhead was one for the memory banks.

They had been quickly fixed with help from Sari's key, and the case had been handed over to Ratchet, Optimus, then Prowl, then the sparkling it was meant for.

Rix had been excited at getting a gift, and although she wasn't sure exactly what it was, they were very pretty.

They all gleamed, plating dark and interlacing.

She was there

They needed to transform
