Amber's P.O.V~

Chapter Twenty-Seven

Feeling nervous and uneasy, I tip-toe across the ledge and hold up my wand firmly. I cast the Lumos charm. Despite the corridor being lit with ugly gargoyle lanterns, the passageway is still dark to navigate through.

Slowly and apprehensively, I start walking and follow the moth eaten carpet that probably stretched to the other side of this breezy corridor.

"Achoo!" I sneezed.

"Bless you, girl,"

My eyes widened while I whipped my wand widely towards this disembodied voice.

"Put the bloody light away!" The voice growled.

I pull my lit wand down and see a square portrait of a mid-forties warlock with an askew fez and a funny-looking Hawaiian shirt. I wondered for a minute. "How come a Slytherin wizard wear muggle apparel and pose in a moving painting..."

"I suppose you're wondering why I'm not hung up with the others huh?" He scoffed tiredly as though he answered this question a thousand times.

"Sort of-"

"Well I won't tell you-Im a proud Slytherin , but those Muggles have some sense of attire!"

"I understand that, it's just the shirt and fez it's like you're on holiday,"

"I wasn't on holiday! Those are the clothes I died in and have been remembered by!"

"Oh! Um-"

"Shut up and state your business, girl. You are trespassing in Salazar's secret Slytherin hideaway!"

Nervously, I shrugged and try to explain quietly.

"Why are you whispering like that? Oh I see, you don't want the enemy to find out you're here?"

"Oh for heaven's sake! Fine, I'm just out of all sorts because I'm going to visit Draco and I don't want him or Mason to know that I'm going to visit."

The warlock looked stunned. "Lucius's boy?"

"Uh, yes- say…have you seen Draco passing through here these past months?"

"No-I would know if a fellow Slytherin passes me,"

I cross my arms and look distantly with curiosity.

"What are your relations are with Lucius's son?"

"Um, you can say we're familiar with each other,"

"Familiar? What are you to him! Friend? Enemy? Foe?"

I didn't say anything, I don't know what the fine line is for me and Draco.

"I demand to know what your relations are with Lucius's son!"

Sensing the desperation and anger in his voice, I back away from this oddity of a painting and half run towards the other end of the tunnel.

"Hey! Come back! I'm not finished with you!"

I ignored his pleas while it fizzled out within the cold windchill

The passage is steep and getting slightly narrow. No more than two people could enter without being cramped in.

Finally, I reached the end of the passage and stopped behind the back of a canvas door.

"Nox," I whispered inaudibly while placing my wand in my front jeans pocket.

When I was trying to pluck up the courage to open the portrait, my heart had suddenly dropped.

It dropped down towards to my stomach and made an awful...awful sting.

Someone was giggling girlishly on the other side. And I'm ninety nine percent sure that it wasn't Mason's high and mannish haughty giggle.

Making a side note to murder Blaise later for false information, I slowly back up and...

Wait-I couldn't move. Not by magic or any curse...no, it was my own will for being an idiot.

This awful sting had turned to anger.

Bang!

Without realising how strong my anger was, the door had burst open with my fierce spell.

"Ahhh!" The girl shrieked. No she's not a girl-she's a harlot! A harlot that had snaked her jewellery-clad arms over Draco's neck. And she had previously planted her rouge red lips over his face.

"You S.O.B!" I yelled loudly.

"Snore-uhh-huh-what,"

I stop and narrowed my eyes towards Draco. However, it softened a little to realise that he woke up.

"What the fuck," he yelled in surprise and backed further in his seat.

"Hi sweetie," the woman purred and leaned in.

"Don't sweetie him!" I growled.

When she turned to me-Draco had pushed her off and wipe the make up smudges on his shirt.

"H—How dare you touch a Malfoy!"

"Awe, c'mon I know you like it-I don't even mind if your-girlfriend watches," she smirked and glanced at me up and down as though she's the cat that got the cream.

"Huh-Amber?!"

I ignored him-someone is in the way and she's not going to get up and leave.

I'm face to face with a girl going by with just her pretty looks and easygoingness.

She smiled smugly while batting her eyelashes as though she knows that I have nothing on her.

I'm a few inches shorter than her but that didn't stop me brim with cruel satisfaction on what I'm going to do to the woman.

"What, are you going to do? Lecture me that stealing your boyfriend is wrong," she chirped in that awful syrupy voice.

"Oh I don't think a lecture is about to cut it, You bumbling airhead,"

"Ooo, big talk for a prude, plain and smart arse of a girl,"

"I think it's time for you to cool down." I smiled cockily.

"Oh you're right-should you go to WhichCoffee and grab some frappes for me and handsome here,"

Smiling wider, I magicked a bucket of water and poured it over her.

"Haha, is that all you got?! I'm not afraid to get-"

"Look down,"

Snap, snap,snap

"Wahh!"

A cheeky crocodile tried to crack his jaw hungrily out of steel gate and demolished her shoe with those big sharp pearly whites.

"Oh, I think he's hungry."

"What the fuck Amber?! Stop it right now,"

I blinked and turned to Draco.

"Why should I stop-is it so that you can continue smack lips with this bitch right here?"

"Argghhh." I thought, gripping my wrist hard.

The enchanted crocodile disappeared while I bend down to recover from this stupid pain.

"Princess!"

"Shut up," I hissed, retracting my hand from him.

"Let me look at your hand," he quipped firmly. I refuse while I ride out the burning pain.

"Drake, you can look at my hand," She trilled coyly.

"Why would I do that?" He asked, rolling his eyes at her.

"Uh hello-she tried to kill me and I broke a nail after my life had been miraculously saved by you," The woman snapped.

"Nothing wrong with it," Draco grimaced.

"Yes there is, please help me, darling,"

"Darling!" I burst out in rage while my wand sparked electric blue. "No one calls him that but me."

"Oh, you so sadly wish it don't you? you can't keep handsome here with just helping his homework while keeping your virginity in check,"

"FYI-I had been put out before-"

"Shh, princess you really didn't-his d- would've have been flopping-"

My eyebrow had raised as though as it's been obvious about the situation.

It took a minute or two for him to understand my expression.

Draco contorted his face. "N-n-no-"

"Draco, I thought you knew before-I've been dating Russ for months after I got with you and ended with him,"

Draco had childishly put his hands over his ears and yelled. "That can't be, you should be a virgin!"

I folded my arms whilst watching the immaturity of him pacing and telling himself that it's not true. Even the Scarlet woman had backed off and gave her some second thoughts to bed him.

Unexpectedly of myself, I slapped him across the face with all my might.

Draco was merely surprised at what I did.

"For Merlin's sake! If you ever mention the word virgin again one more time, I'll conjure up something furry with sharp pincers down your trousers."

The slap didn't effect his stubbornness. In fact, he continued to bicker as normal. "But you bloody did it with him-I thought you have standards!"

"Are you telling me that I was stupid for hooking up with a guy after we waited a year?"

"And look how that turn out, he's a cheating scumbag, you should count yourself lucky-"

"Enough!"

Me and Draco turned. The girl glared at us as though frustrated and confused with our arguing. She then pointed a finger at him.

"Why the hell are you arguing about that where you can do the bad things to me..." she purred seductively.

Draco looked at her a little repulsed by this.

I can clearly see he was giving it a second thought. Instead however, he made a tutting noise and push his one fair eyebrow at me as though he had already proved his point.

"What's wrong with a bit seduction in a girl!" I piped.

"What's wrong? Ugh clearly I would've taken her to my room if I wasn't careful!"

Unexpectedly, the scandalous blonde had fainted. A tad melodramatic for my taste and she might of misjudged the accurate way to fall because she assumed that Draco would've caught her in his arms.

"Tch, that's a bit idiotic wasn't it and I told you I was careful." He groused.

The blonde girl got up with dull bitterness while she narrowed her shimmering eyes at him.

"I know you are playing hard to get...but this has been really a turn off for me,"

"Oh and when did you consider that?" Draco ridiculed her dryly.

She is back to her elusive purr.

"So please, Draky-lose the girlfriend and then the real fun can begin."

"What real fun?" I blurted out. "I can be that fun as much as the next person!"

"What are you-"she responded bemusedly.

"You probably don't know half the fun stuff of what I'm going to do with him."

I was about to put her in her place until Draco stepped in.

"Stop! I don't even want to know,"

"Exactly, you don't want to be bored don't you Dra-hey what are you doing?!"

"Showing you the door before you get any impure ideas to my girlfriend's head,"

She didn't like that at all and tried to fend him off.

"Let me go!"

"If I do, you'll crawl back in like a flobberworm through the cabbage patch."

With no hesitation, Draco had shown her the door and he was left with a nasty scratch from the woman's fake fingernails on his arm.

"Agh, that bitch won't ever leave," he murmured angrily.

Draco had sat back down his seat by the fireplace and focused his wand on where the girl had maimed him.

With or without invitation to do so, I plop myself down on one of the chairs next to Draco and look at him with some concern.

"What?"

I scuffle my seat an inch back and shrugged indifferently.

"It appears that there's no infection,"

"You think so, huh?" He observed sarcastically.

Bang, bang,bang

"Merlin, is she trying to get in?" I jolted slightly.

"What can I say, they can't get enough of me," Draco smirked.

"You can't keep me out forever, my love!"

"This one is nuttier than Mason but with a better rack-ow!"

"Oops sorry," I fake apologised and retract my hand from injuring his arm any further.

Draco glared and kept his arm really close to his chest.

"You must've rubbed off me too much to be this cruel,"

"Stop grovelling it's just a little pinch,"

"Little is an understatement, princess,"

The ruckus had continued outside the walls and Draco seemed fed up and yelled at something in the fireplace.

Suddenly, the girl screamed like bloody murder as something roared in the corridor.

"What the hell was that?" I gawped when the scream had fleeted away until there was nothing on the other side.

"Since Mason had been intruding my free time, I whipped a fire charm to resemble something they feared-my guess it's was a dragon or something-"

My jaw dropped. What he did there was really advanced magic. I pouted a little. It was too bad I didn't get to see it.

"Why are you making faces for?"

"Huh, was it noticeable?"

"Clearly," he grumbled. "You didn't think I can pull something like that off?"

"I wasn't thinking that-I know you have an aptitude in charms,"

"Should keep that quiet then..."

I withdrew from asking questions and avert my gaze.

After a quiet moment or two. Draco muttered an apology.

"It's okay..." I sighed quietly.

"Erm-what are you doing here?" He asked slowly.

My face now awkward and tickled pink. I answer;

"Oh, um-well I might a bit a toe in line with your apology..."

"No um- you have the right to be mad at me."

"I shouldn't...it was just me being stupid and emotional."

"You're not stupid-it's me who is..."

I was about to talk more about it-although Draco stopped me.

"What I did-was no excuse...All I did was sulk in my man cave and avoided anyone to see me-it wasn't you I'm avoiding, no it was..."

Despite I'd like to know what's keeping him lately, I still wouldn't want him to force it out of him.

"You don't need to tell me anything, you apologised enough and let's leave it at that,"

"Do you want to hear this or not,"

"I-I don't-"

"I'm telling it anyway!"

Before I could refuse, Draco was about continue where he left off.

"It was someone I lost-well loved dearly a long time ago..."
