Romance Of The Three Kingdoms The Re Up
Chapter 25
Time: 12:25 p.m.
Place: Chang An
Year: Spring 212
"Let's march; we are going to avenge my father's death today!" Ma Chao yelled, raising his spear.
They all began charging for Cao Cao's current camp. With the gate not closed, they were free to charge inside to commence an attack.
"There's Cao Cao, get him!" Ma Chao yelled. He began charging towards him with about 2 other horsemen on each side accompanying him, shouting threats and cursing wildly.
The terrified Cao Cao tried for a quick getaway, but Ma Chao was close enough to attack. Once he was close enough, he stabbed Cao Cao in the rib. Cao Cao kept fleeing, even though the damage was already done. In a weird twist of fate, Ma Chao's horse's legs gave out and the horse tumbled to the ground, sending Ma Chao careening through the air.
"Everybody don't forget the man with the blue robe on is Cao Cao." Ma Chao yelled after he regained himself. He blindly threw one of his own men off their horse and started after Cao Cao again with the new steed.
After hearing that, Cao Cao quickly discarded his blue robe and threw it into the river he was passing by.
"The man with the white shirt and silk blue pants is Cao Cao!" Ma Chao screamed. He witnessed what Cao Cao had done.
Cao Cao ended up taking off all his clothes, except for his underwear.
"The man with just underwear on is Cao Cao!" Ma Chao announced angrily.
Ma Chao finally caught up to Cao Cao, but as he was about to put the finishing blow on him, Xu Zhu and reinforcements intervened. This gave the lucky Cao Cao enough time to escape undetected.
"Get out of my way!" Ma Chao demanded while pointing his spear at Xu Zhu.
Xu Zhu shook his head.
"Anybody who opposes Cao Cao must be crushed." Xu Zhu said. He rose his giant club high.
"Oh you want to fight me? Bring it on!" Ma Chao said. He got off of his horse.
The duel was on now. Xu Zhu swung his giant club at Ma Chao, but Ma Chao was too quick and got out of the way. Before Xu Zhu could decide what to do next, Ma Chao did a spinning strike with his spear. He managed to graze Xu Zhu's cheek, the sight of blood from the cut quickly enraged Xu Zhu. He began rushing towards Ma Chao full speed. Ma Chao didn't know what to do now. Xu Zhu was way bigger than him. Before Ma Chao could strike, Xu Zhu hit him in the chest with the club. Ma Chao was sent flying through the air before landing hard on the pavement. He got back up and ran toward Xu Zhu blindly swinging his spear like a maniac. By the time he stopped swinging, he noticed he wounded Xu Zhu severely. Xu Zhu's men grabbed him and began running for the Wei camp. Ma Chao looked back at his men and raised his spear.
"We claimed victory today!" Ma Chao cheered.
As they rode back towards their camp, Han Sui approached Ma Chao. "Master Ma Chao, I'm going to ride to the river for some relaxation."
"Okay, make sure to come back if you see any sign of Wei." Ma Chao said.
Han Sui nodded his head and rode off. He needed some release from all the bloodshed. After making it to his destination, he laid in the soft grass and watched the clouds. Thoughts of all the chaos and how different the world was now began to fill his mind. He was about to doze off to sleep, when he heard a voice. He sat up and looked around. A familiar man was feeding grass to his horse. The man looked exactly like Cao Cao.
"Who are you?" Han Sui asked.
"I'm Cao Cao, but I'm sure you already know that." Cao Cao replied with a slight smile.
"Why are you feeding my horse? I'm supposed to kill you when I see you."
"But the question is do you want to kill me? Or are you just following behind Ma Chao? If you were in my army, you would have an option and some control. I'm pretty sure Ma Chao is a bossy person. Do you want to serve him forever?" Cao Cao asked.
Han Sui just looked at him. He didn't know what to say about that statement.
"I thought so. I'll make you a deal Master Han Sui. If you give me Intel on Ma Chao's army, I will give you a village all to yourself." Cao Cao bribed.
Han Sui always wanted a village to control. He jumped up eagerly and nodded his head very fast.
"I accept your offer. Don't worry I'll give you all the information you want." Han Sui said.
Cao Cao walked over to him and gave him a gentle hug. It's too bad they didn't see Ma Dai in the bushes watching their every move and listening to their every word. If he had been armed, he would've jumped out of the bushes and killed Cao Cao and Han Sui. He ran back to the camp to tell Ma Chao what he just saw.
(10:00 that night)
Ma Chao looked at Ma Dai wide eyed. For the last 30 minutes, Ma Dai told him everything he had saw and heard earlier that day.
"I can't believe that bastard is conspiring with Cao Cao!" Ma Chao yelled, slamming his fists on the ground.
"I know but I'm telling you, there is no mistaking what I saw." Ma Dai said.
"I'm going to kill his ass!" Ma Chao screamed.
Ma Chao got up and stormed out of his tent and made his way to Han Sui's tent. Han Sui was zipped up in his tent and in the process of writing a letter of intel to Cao Cao. Ma Chao angrily threw his tent over. The candle that was lit inside quickly went out and the scrolls were flying around and so was Han Sui as Ma Chao flung the tent all around the camp. Han Sui could barely catch his breath after all the motion stopped before an arm tore his tent open and snatched him out.
He was now face to face with the fuming Ma Chao whose eyes were big, red, and extremely angry. "What's wrong with you?" Han Sui screamed.
Ma Chao responded by punching Han Sui in the face, sending him to the ground. Ma Chao snatched him back up and slammed him down again with Han Sui landing face first. Ma Chao turned him over and began choking him. The now dirt covered Han Sui couldn't even utter a single word due to the fact that Ma Chao was strangling him so hard, every muscle in his arms were practically bulging out. He somehow managed to get Ma Chao off of him, and after catching his breath, he ran for the exit. He didn't make it very far before Ma Chao jumped on his back, wearing him down before dragging him back to the middle of the camp. By this time, everybody in the camp were watching in horror. They couldn't believe the assault Han Sui was getting. Han Sui managed to get free again and swung a left punch. Ma Chao effortlessly grabbed his hand and slammed him into the campfire. Everybody gasped loudly and at this point Ma Dai had seen more than enough. He ran over and started holding Ma Chao back. He wasn't enough to contain Ma Chao, so Pang De ran over to help. Everybody else helped Han Sui to his feet. Han Sui, feeling pissed off and humiliated, ran to the weapon cache and grabbed a sword. Ma Chao's eyes jumped in shock, he jerked him free from Pang De and Ma Dai's grip and grabbed a spear. They both swung their weapons at the same time. Everybody closed their eyes, scared to see how it was going to turn out. Suddenly, they heard Han Sui screaming loudly. His left arm was on the ground. Ma Chao walked over and picked up his left arm.
"Let this be a lesson to anybody who conspires with Cao Cao. Next time, this will be your throat!" Ma Chao yelled displaying Han Sui's dismembered arm to the crowd.
Everybody nodded their heads in horror. Ma Chao threw Han Sui's arm at him. "Get his sorry ass out of here!" He ordered.
Han Sui was escorted out of the camp with his shoulder squirting blood. He didn't even know if he was going to survive.
(The Next Morning)
Ma Chao woke up ready to launch an attack on Cao Cao as soon as possible. He was still fuming that Han Sui even had the nerve to talk with Cao Cao. He walked to his horse barn and picked a horse to ride. Exiting the camp, he discovered a shocking sight...
"Where did that castle come from? That wasn't there before!" Ma Chao yelled.
There was a castle built about 10 miles away from his camp. He could see it in the distance. Who built it? Ma Chao walked back in his camp and told everybody to make ready for the next attack. After everybody was ready, they began marching.
"Ma Chao? With all due respect, I don't think we have the numbers to battle Cao Cao head on." Pang De said.
"Silence! I refuse to leave without Cao Cao's head!" Ma Chao yelled.
They finally reached the newly built castle and entered it. It didn't look like much. Probably just built for decoration. Right when Ma Chao thought Wei had retreated, an ambush burst out of nowhere.
"Ambush!" Pang De yelled.
Everybody began engaging in battle. Ma Chao was too busy slaughtering troops left to right, that he didn't notice Pang De being captured. After much bloodshed and endless fighting, Ma Chao began to tire out.
"Everybody retreat!" Ma Chao ordered. His army made for a quick retreat to the camp. After returning, the exhausted Ma Chao made himself a cup of tea and sat down to catch his breath.
"Master Ma Chao? Pang De is missing." A troop said.
"What?! When was the last time you seen him?" Ma Chao asked jumping back up.
"I-I can't remember." The troops said scratching his head.
"It doesn't matter. He'll show up eventually." Ma Chao said. "I know Master Pang De, he probably is just lost in all the commotion.
Pang De never came back. Ma Chao didn't know it yet, but Pang De had joined the Wei.
