"Hey Starshot?" The analyst glanced up from her typing, looking towards her green companion.

"Yes Hound?"

"I just found part of our missing escape pod." The mech held up a chunk of warped, burnt and twisted metal, brushing off some of the asteroid dirt on it. She carefully stepped past a few of the craters, leaning past some floating debris. This area of space was swarming with Elite Guard, the Steelhaven looming over them as they searched through the remnants of an asteroid. Several energy signature had popped up through Autobot controlled space, and Starshot and her team were one of the many who had been sent out to analyze them.

The Steelhaven had been contacted when she discovered that this signature may be related to the missing escape pod. It had been vorns since the pod had been discovered missing and been replaced, but they still sent their soldiers after any leads.

"It's strange though.." Hound muttered to himself.

"What is?" She continued to scan the piece, noting how the burns matched none of the thousands she had on file.

"The flight recorder isn't damaged at all. In fact, it's in too good of a condition." She glanced away, optics narrowing as she scanned it.

"Its codes match the missing pods codes, and its signature matches as well. It's all we have for a lead right now." She stored the flight recorder in a case, and sealed it tight. They didn't need to risk having it become clogged and damaged with dust and dirt.

::Alright team, time to pack it up:: Trailbreaker called over the comm.

::What? We still have so much to go through-::

::Just pack up everything. We just got word that the Steelhaven's leaving the system::

::Leaving? Where on Cybertron are they going?::

:: The Guardians have left Cybertron, and they want to know where they're going::

::So we have to drag all this extra debris with us because they want to follow a bunch of crazy bot's who believe that their goal for their function is for this so called purpose of theirs?!:: The femme threw her servos up in frustration, stomping towards their own ship with Hound close behind.

::Trust me, i'm not ecstatic either. But right now, we need to get back to Cybertron and figure out how a Steelhaven escape pod ended up here, and why it was destroyed:: Starshot bit back a snarl, servos clenching into fists as she waited for the boarding tunnel to reach them, aware of Hound's optics on her.

Primus she hated those glitches. Worse than the Nobles, the whole lot of them.

At least she could vent to Cliffjumper later.

::I'd rather deal with Vector Sigma than go through this debris::

::Starshot::

::Oh Primus above Hound, I wasn't being serious::

::Don't kid around like that. You know the Council doesn't like bots talking about it:: She made a sort of grunting noise, but dropped the subject.

Hound wasn't wrong though.
