"This forest sucks. Dark, cold and very dense..." I sighed.

Looking down to my bag, Mystic and Flanite were pretty much snuggling each other.

"Clearly cold for you two too..." I said.

Sitting down, I slowly took Flanite out of the bag as he slowly looked at me. I then pulled out a Pokeball and released Cinder. Cinder looked instantly confused and looked around before staring at me. I looked at the two and shivered softly.

"Alright, this forest is clearly something different… It's like extremely cold due to how thick the trees are. I was thinking… Maybe you two can make fire or something to warm us up." I said.

The two looked at each other before looking back at me. I looked at them with a confused face as the two got together and shot fire at each other. Their streams of fire contacted and it became quite blinding, looking away due to it. Once the blinding light faded, I slowly looked and noticed a pretty decent fire.

"S- sweet. Thanks you two… But, err..." I said.

Pulling out another ball, I released Stealth.

"Just um… In case this burns the forest down." I said.

Stealth sat next to me as I tried warming up along with my team. It was very nice as the warmth felt good on my skin. Mystic along with the others seemed to enjoy it as well. We were there for a good five or so minutes just enjoying the warm feeling but soon I heard it.

The thing I heard was a scream the echoed throughout the woods. I jumped upon hearing it and looked around as it sounded to come from in front of us.

"Crap, is someone in danger?" I asked.

Looking at my team, they seemed alert as I quickly picked Flanite and Mystic up, placing them in my bag as I told Stealth to follow me. He nodded and soon we ran down the dirt path after putting out the fire.

We ran down the pathway for a minute before we started hearing noises coming right in front of us. The noise was soon followed by a loud crashing sound. Thinking someone was being attacked or something, I rushed quicker towards it as Stealth kept right next to my side.

It didn't take another minute before reaching what looked like a camp setup. I scanned it and noticed someone off to the side who looked injured. I rushed over before nearly getting hit by a giant spike. This made me jump back in surprise as I ducked behind something. Looking over it slowly, I noticed the person in what looked like a lab or doctor coat. I looked further and noticed a large Chesnaught. This Pokemon looked very angry as it fired off pins that nearly ripped trees in half. I slowly looked at the person who clearly tried avoiding them.

"Damn, we need to help him. Stealth…? Can you do some psycho stuff?" I asked.

Stealth scoffed and looked to the side.

"Okay, okay..." I sighed and pulled out some Pokeball's.

Releasing all Pokemon I have, I explained what was going on. After explaining, I then explained what we were going to do.

"Okay everyone… Ready?" I asked.

They all nodded as I stood up with them following me. Looking at Sav, I told him to encase the Chesnaught in stone. Sav nodded and jumped up before slamming his palms on the ground. Upon him doing so, the earth crumbled slightly as it traveled to the Chesnaught. Upon getting to the Pokemon, a large cage of very thick stone trapped the Chesnaught.

"Okay, that will not hold it for long. Like… At all. We need to act fast…!" I exclaimed.

Looking towards my team, I just directed them to lash out and freely attack. They all just rushed over without another word and I watched as all of them unleashed different moves and combos of attacks. The Chesnaught did try escaping, managing to break apart a few pillars but it was too late as the Chesnaught soon dropped from the amounts of attacks it had to deal with. Sav managed to trap it fully as it laid there.

Once this was done, they watched over the large Pokemon. I slowly walked over to them but changed midway through to walk towards the person who sat there. He was sitting by his campsite which contained a lot of odd science stuff like complex machines, mysterious liquids in flasks and more.

I walked up to him as he tried bandaging his wounded arm.

"A- are you okay?" I asked.

He slowly looked up. He worn glasses which was shattered as he nodded slowly.

"Yeah, I'm alright… Thanks for the help." He said, snipping the bandage with scissors.

Once he finished fixing his arm, he slowly sat up.

"Really should've brought my Braixen..." He sighed softly.

He then did some stuff and made sure non of his equipment was damaged. After he checked over it all, he slowly looked at me.

"Well, thanks for the assistance." He said.

"Of course. So, um… What was that about?" I asked.

"It wasn't anything special… I was just trying to gather some DNA from this Chesnaught. Things quickly turned harsh as you can see." He said.

"DNA? Why?" I looked confused.

"I'm a scientist and I need multiple different types of DNA for a certain project." He said.

"Oh, well then. Anyways, glad I could help… I should get back on my journey." I said.

"Okay, gl-" He stopped and quickly looked at me.

"Wait…!" He exclaimed.

"Um… Yeah?" I looked at him.

"You have a Vaporeon and some others I need DNA from!" He said.

"Uh..." I looked somewhat odd.

"Look, I have a lab close by here. Mind coming with me?" He said.

"Err, sure? Stranger danger it feels like." I told him.

"Don't worry…! I don't plan anything sinister. I just wish to collect some samples from your Pokemon." He said.

"Do I get anything out of this?" I asked.

"Of course!" He exclaimed and started walking off.

Looking at my team, I just simply shrugged and called most of them back into their Pokeball's. I left Mystic, Flanite, Stealth and Sav outside as they followed close behind me while we traveled with this person to wherever he was taking us. He walked through the forest and stayed silent for most of the journey. It didn't take longer then ten minutes of walking before reaching at a large building in the middle of nowhere. I looked surprised, as this building was completely surrounded by dense forest and this building was just massive. It was in the shape of a dome but was pretty tall and wide.

"Jeez, how did I miss this?" I sounded a bit surprised.

The mystery scientist just motioned me as I slowly walked into the building. Upon entering, the entire place was filled with tons of advance technology and was pretty much completely white like any lab should be I suppose. This place was full of computers and machines as I looked around in shock.

"Okay, this must've cost a fortune." I said.

"It did. But it's for science!" He exclaimed.

"Um, sure." I said.

"Anyways, follow me!" He said.

Nodding, I slowly followed as he lead me deep within the large building. He then walked through a sliding door with words above it. Before walking into the room, I noticed it said something about DNA Testing. When I walked in, it had what looked like chambers and more high tech machines.

"Um… What's with the chambers?" I asked.

"Oh, it's used for testing purposes." He said.

"Um… Okay." I said.

"Oh…! Sorry, didn't introduce myself. I am Quin." He said.

"Oh, I'm Amy." I replied.

Quin nodded and smiled before looking towards Stealth.

"I have been trying to find a Vaporeon for so long and you have one…! If you don't mind, can I take some samples from him?" He asked.

"Uh, sure. Just, err… Be careful. Stealth is sorta a Pokemon you don't want to mess with." I said.

Slowly looked towards Stealth, I gently crouched down and stroked his mane.

"Okay, um… Can you not lash out on him? Seriously?" I asked.

Stealth rolled his eyes but nodded. Sighing in relief, I slowly got up and moved aside as Quin approached Stealth.

"Stealth? That's a pretty cool name for a Vaporeon. Anyways, Stealth… Mind sitting over there?" He asked, motioning towards a tub looking thing.

Stealth let out a scoff but followed, getting into the tub as Quin pulled out some Q-tips. I sat back and watched as Quin did some stuff on a computer before looking at Stealth. He showed him the Q-tip.

"Okay, this won't take more then a minute. Can you open your mouth?" He asked.

Once Stealth did so, I watched as Quin gently rubbed the tips against the roof of his mouth. He did this for about four of them on both sides, placing them in a cup upon finishing one. Once he finished up, he took the cup and walked to a device before scrapping off Stealth's spit from them. After finishing that, he started doing some stuff with a computer as it made some noises and lit up.

"Okay…! It's done!" He said.

"Um, cool." I replied.

Quin then looked at me.

"This DNA will complete this research, but there is one more step." He said.

"And that is?" I asked.

"Well… I sorta need a human subject. Now, before you reject, it's completely safe! It's very simple and painless!" He said.

"Uh, you gotta be kidding..." I said.

"Sadly no. But I promise it won't be painful or anything!" He said.

"You better be correct or I'll throw you at that Chesnaught again." I said.

Quin nodded and typed some stuff into the computer before looking at me again.

"I promise, alright? Now, please enter the left chamber." He said.

Slowly nodding, I walked over to the chamber as it opened. I closed my eyes and sighed before walking into it slowly. The door then closed, locking me into this tube. The entire chamber was deafening as I could not hear anything inside this thing. I did however look through the glass to see Quin talking to Stealth as Stealth clearly seemed annoyed but walked off. I followed his movement to see him enter the next chamber.

"What is going on here…?" I asked myself.

Standing there, I just watched as Quin returned to some computers before working on it. I was unable to see what he was working on but it didn't last long as he looked forward and pulled a large lever on the wall. A buzzing was heard as I looked up to see sparks going off.

"Uh..." I looked nervous.

Before I was able to react, I was stunned it felt like. I didn't feel pain or anything, I just froze. Quin was right so far and I am glad for that, since I didn't want to die in a painful death due to a failed science test. But luckily it didn't fail. My vision just went black as I didn't feel anything. I just heard a ton of noises.

After a moment, I slowly regained my vision as I slowly blinked. The feeling came back to me as I slowly looked around. My vision was too blurry as I was unable to really tell what was going on. For some reason however, my body felt different. My head was light and it throbbed in slight pain as my entire body felt much different then normal.

It wasn't long until I heard the sliding door to the chamber opened. I appeared to be against the door or something as I felt myself falling onto the cold floor. My body was still numb somewhat as I could only feel certain areas of my body. The cold floor didn't help as it made it worse. As I laid there, I suddenly felt someone, I assume Quin, grab my arms and dragged me across the icy cold tile floor.

My eyes closed as I felt myself land on something very warm and comfortable. It wasn't long until I passed out from feeling very weak for some reason.

I remained passed out for a decent amount of time, I assume about 10 hours as I remember waking up to it being dark. I was laying on the bed with a sunroof above me, seeing stars through the glass of the sunroof.

"W- what… Happened…?" I asked myself.

Feeling my body covered in a blanket, I slowly rubbed my eyes but something felt different. It was too dark to really see as I threw the blanket off me. Something felt extremely wrong at this point. My body as the somewhat cold air hit it, it felt very different.

I looked around slowly, not moving my body other then my arm. I tried feeling around for a desk or something with maybe a lamp on it. I did manage to feel something and started feeling around further before hitting something. Using my finger, I brushed alongside the smooth surface of the object and soon felt something different. Pressing it, I was suddenly hit by a blinding light as I closed my eyes tightly, inhaling sharply from the pain I felt.

My eyes burned intensely but when it faded, I slowly opened them, seeing spots and stars.

"J- jeez..." I shivered.

When I managed to get my vision back, I slowly looked around and soon remembered the odd feeling with my body. With me now being able to see, I looked at my body and instantly froze up.

"W- what the hell?!" I screamed.

Quickly getting up, I ran to a bathroom and quickly jumped up to look in the mirror. I stood there, shocked as I looked at myself. The figure in the mirror was me, but wasn't me. I just stared in the mirror. My deep blue eyes, mane, fin-like ears along with a fin on my forehead, and ultimately, my large, thick and heavy fin tail. My body was blue and deep blue as I shook in shock.

"W- what the hell happened to me…?! I- I'm a Vaporeon…?!" I stumbled back.

I jumped down to the floor and ran out. I was panicked as I tried finding someone. When I couldn't find anyone, I made it back to my bed while shaking slightly.

"T- this is just..." I shivered.

Wrapping the blanket around me, I closed my eyes and shivered more before falling asleep suddenly.

When the morning came, I jolted up out of nowhere upon waking up, panting heavily and looking at myself. I was hoping it was a dream, but it wasn't as I was still a Vaporeon. I was completely naked as I kept the blanket wrapped around me. I sat there for a little as I heard something. Slowly looking up, I noticed it was Quin.

"Q- Quin? What the hell did you do?!" I shouted.

"Calm down. It appeared to be working. So, um… Problem however..." He said.

I looked at him.

"So… It did work but kinda broke the machine. So, um, you are sorta stuck like this." He said.

"Stuck?!" I exclaimed.

"I am fixing it at the moment, so it shouldn't take long." He said.

"How long?" I asked.

Quin completely ignored my question as he continued talking.

"I really wish I can speak Pokemon..." He said suddenly.

"Hold on… He can't understand me?! Seriously?" I sighed.

Quin reassured me that he would fix it within the day and walked off, leaving me there. I let out another deep sigh and shook softly as I looked over my body.

Not wanting to move, I stayed there and hoped he would fix it soon...
