Here we are at Chapter 34. I know it's been a while, but now we're back and ready for the next part in the battle for Haven. I do not own RWBY or Transformers. They belong to their respective owners. Here's chapter 34. Enjoy.
Chapter 34: A Common Foe
The fighting continues for the battle for Haven. All throughout the main building, several brawls are going on. Megatron throws a left cross at the masked figure, who deflects the punch and then punches Megatron in the face, followed by an uppercut to his torso. Megatron shakes it off and deflects a right punch from the masked figure, spinning around and creating a hammer in his right hand to smash into the figure's face, though he blocks with his left arm, though he slides back a bit. Starscream appears behind Megatron and takes aim with his sniper rifle, aiming for the back of his head. He fires a shot, but Megatron sees this coming and leans his head just enough to the side for the shot to miss and nail the masked figure in the face instead. Megatron uses this chance to smash his hammer into the body of the masked figure, sending him crashing into a nearby wall. Megatron then turns around and fires off his arm cannon at Starscream, causing him to duck and fly back into the air to get some distance.
Meanwhile, Ruby and Yang jump around each other, firing their weapons behind them to propel them towards Emerald and Mercury. While Yang goes after Emerald, Ruby deals with Mercury. Ruby swings her scythe at him, only for Mercury to lift his left leg up and swing it down, knocking Ruby's weapon out of her hands.
"Uh oh, what are you gonna-," Mercury begins, only for Ruby to quickly grab the sides of his head and bring him down for a knee to his face, followed by a right punch that staggers him a bit as he holds his nose in pain.
"This won't be like last time in Vale," Ruby says as she retrieves her scythe.
With Soundwave, he fires off his gauntlets at Airachnid, who uses her spider legs to evade the shots before countering with more of her webbing. Soundwave rolls underneath the web shots and charges at her, swinging his blades at her, while she parries them with her claws. Soundwave jumps back, only for Laserbeak to swoop in, flying too fast for Airachnid to react as his sharp, metal wings slice at her face, making her shriek for a second.
"I never did like you, Airachnid," Laserbeak says, getting her attention.
"What?! When did you start speaking, Laserbeak?!" Airachnid says.
But this drives her focus away from Soundwave, who uses the opportunity to twirl in the air to kick her in the face, knocking her back a bit. Laserbeak flies around and fires off his laser shots at her spider legs, tripping her up, and then Soundwave performs a backflip kick in her face, knocking her back again. Meanwhile, Nora continues to hold the ghoul back, but whatever this thing is that she's fighting, it's like all it can think about is the fight itself. The ghoul jumps into the air to smash its fists down on her, forcing her to fire off her hammer to propel herself away from the collision. Nora transforms her hammer into its grenade launcher form and fires off a few shots, nailing the ghoul, but the entity just roars and charges at her again. Nora changes her weapon back into its hammer form. She gets ready to swing when the ghoul gets close, only for another figure to suddenly tackle the ghoul from the side. Nora looks to see the spirit of Skyquake holding the ghoul back, and then turns back to see Dreadwing sitting up with his right hand raised.
"I can deal with him. Go and aid the others!" Dreadwing yells, nodding his head to those fighting with Hazel.
Nora nods and runs to help them.
"Dreadwing, are you okay?" Weiss asks as she kneels next to him.
"I am fine, Lady Weiss. I can feel my strength returning... thanks to the boy here," Dreadwing says as he glances at Jaune. "Can you continue whatever it is that you are doing for a few moments longer?" he asks.
"Don't worry, I won't stop until you're all good," Jaune replies.
"I'm just glad your semblance was unlocked at just the right time," Weiss sighs.
"My semblance?" Jaune asks, confused.
"Well, I mean, how else can you explain how you're healing Dreadwing," Weiss says.
Jaune looks between her and Dreadwing, "No, I don't think this is my semblance. Our aura is supposed to heal our bodies. I think... my aura is augmenting his, making his aura stronger in its healing," Jaune theorizes.
"Wait, but what if you run out?' Weiss asks with worry.
"Heh, Pyrrha once told me that I have a lot of it. I still believe her," Jaune says, making Weiss smile.
Dreadwing focuses back on Skyquake as he dukes it out with the ghoul. The Ghoul throws a punch, only for Skyquake to catch it and head-butt the ghoul in the face. The ghoul roars and throws a left cross, but Skyquake catches that attack as well and the two are now locked in a clash of strength. With another brawl, Hazel throws a few punches at Ozpin as he ducks around them, with Hazel punching through another pillar behind him. Qrow comes in from behind and kicks him in the back of the head, but when he lands, he has to block a shot from Lionheart. This gives Hazel the chance to rush him and throw an uppercut into his chest that sends him flying up, crashing into a railing on the second floor before falling back down to the ground below. Ren runs in to help, which Hazel notices, and swings a left fist at him, Ren weaves under the swing, but can't dodge the right cross that comes at him, sending him crashing into a wall behind him. As Ren gets up, Hazel fires off a spark shot, dealing more damage to Ren as he screams in pain before falling onto his hands and knees. Ozpin gets onto one knee as Hazel stalks him.
"Hiding behind the face of a child? Using more children for your own selfish goals. A monster like you must be destroyed!" Hazel roars. Nora comes in from behind and jumps into the air with her hammer reeled back, but Hazel sees it coming and smacks Nora onto the floor. He then grabs her by the head and starts electrocuting her with the lightning Dust. "How many more children must die for you?!" Hazel seethes.
However, his attack backfires as it doesn't hurt Nora, but rather, it gives her more strength as she grabs his hand and throws him over her onto the ground. Nora uses this chance to grab her hammer before Ozpin gets her attention.
"His semblance... He can block out pain. It's how he's able to inject so much Dust into his body," Ozpin tells her.
Nora looks back as Hazel gets back on his feet, "I don't need him to hurt-," she says as he charges at her. "I just need him to go DOWN!" she yells.
He gets close and she swings her hammer wide, smashing into Hazel and sending him flying through the front wall of the building into the outside. The sudden impact gets the attention of most of the people inside. However, they quickly get back into their own melees. Soundwave fires his gauntlet blasters at Airachnid, who evades them as she runs along the walls of the building, climbing onto the second floor. Soundwave runs up and sends out his tentacles to grab onto the pillars and swing him up onto the second floor to meet her. Airachnid fires off her own gauntlets, while Soundwave jumps around to evade the shots. Laserbeak flies by, swiping at one of her main legs to throw her off, causing her to shoot more webbing at him. Laserbeak evades the webbing, taking cover behind the pillars. Soundwave uses his semblance again, affecting everyone in the building, but performing the needed effect of staggering Airachnid. Soundwave sends out his tentacles to clasp onto her, giving her a nice electric shock. Airachnid screams in pain before managing to get them off with her claws.
Meanwhile, Yang and Ruby continue their brawl with Emerald and Mercury. Emerald uses her semblance on Yang to make her disappear and make an illusion of Ruby appear before her with her arms out in fear. However, Yang only gets a little angry that Emerald would use an illusion of her own sister against her and jumps into the air with her right arm reeled back. When she hits the ground, she smashes her fist into the floor, making the ground shake and throwing off Emerald's concentration and making her reappear again. Yang fires her gauntlets at her, forcing Emerald to try to block with her sickle blades, though two shot hit their mark. Yang then charges at her while Ruby continues to fight against Mercury. Mercury jumps and flips in the air before falling with his right leg out to slam down on Ruby, but Ruby uses her semblance to separate into three petal bursts to fly around him, appearing above him as he lands and kicking him in the face, followed by a swing of her scythe that he manages to block with his legs. Yang looks over to see how Megatron is doing, finding him still fighting against Starscream and the masked figure.
Megatron creates a shield with his semblance to block an incoming missile from Starscream, but while he blocks it, the figure shoulder tackles the shield, staggering Megatron a bit. The figure then comes in and grabs the shield, pulling it to the side to get a punch in on Megatron's face. Megatron deactivates the shield and grabs the figure's arms, pulling him in as he drops onto his back and kicking him off over him to the ground. Megatron gets back up and runs at Starscream, firing off his arm cannon a few times. Starscream flies into the air to evade the shots, countering with his sniper rifle. However, Megatron jumps off of one pillar to tackle Starscream to the ground, engages his arm blade, and then impales the blade through Starscream's chest.
"You're finished, Starscream," Megatron says, but Starscream only laughs as he slowly disappears. "What? Another clone?" Megatronr realizes.
"Looks like you were fooled once again, Megatron. I was just a more experienced clone that the real Starscream put more energy into creating with his semblance and been around longer than those other fools. Regretfully, the process regressed my personality to how it was when you and he last met. He won't be so easy as I though. But, I wonder, where could the real Starscream be if he's not here?" the clone says before he disappears completely.
Megatron watches him go before looking at the elevator, and then to the masked figure who gets back onto his feet to face him again.
"Scrap," Megatron curses.
Yang watches his battle continue, but because of this, Emerald takes a chance to attack her while she's looking elsewhere. However, her shots suddenly get blocked by a black glyph, and they look over to see Weiss walking towards them, while Dreadwing goes to help the spirit of his brother take on the ghoul. Dreadwing jumps over Skyquake and punches the ghoul in the face, followed by Skyquake kicking it in the chest. They both then perform a double uppercut into the ghoul's jaw, sending it flying up and then back onto the ground with a huge crash.
Weiss walks up next to Yang, "I'll help out Ruby here. You go help Megatron," she says.
Yang appears stunned for a second, but nods in thanks to her and then runs towards Megatron. The masked figure performs a spinning heel kick to Megatron's face, followed by a punch to his chest. When he goes for a right cross, Megatron catches it and flips the figure over him onto the ground. The figure rolls onto his feet, only to get a blast in the face, followed by a punch from Yang that knocks him back.
Megatron stands beside her, "Are you alright, Yang?" he asks, showing a little concern.
"I'll be fine. I'm more worried about you. Are you okay?" Yang asks.
"I'm fine. However-," Megatron replies when they see the masked figure stand back on his feet.
However, when he turns his attention from Megatron to Yang, his mind begins to wander, "...Solus?" he mutters in a daze, less threatening for a moment.
Megatron uses this chance to create two large rocket launchers, and fires them at the figure, dealing a direct hit that sends him crashing through the side wall behind him.
"Megatron, go and stop Cinder. I'll hold him off here," Yang says.
"But, Yang, you can't expect me to leave you to face this individual alone," Megatron retorts.
"I'll be fine. We can't let Cinder get her hands on the Relic," Yang replies.
"But-," Megatron begins, only to stop when Yang suddenly kisses him on the cheek, frozen solid.
Yang steps back after a moment, "I'll be fine. Trust me, okay. Now go," she says softly, a hand on his cheek for a moment.
"...Alright. But I shall return," Megatron says and runs and jumps into the elevator shaft, creating his hoverboard to fly down the path to the vault faster than he would if he simply jumped down the pathway.
Yang watches him go before turning her attention back to the masked figure, who walks back through the broken wall. Yang readies her fists while the figure just stares at her, and then the rest of her teammates before turning back to her.
"...You all remind me of Solus," he mutters. "This one's fire, the Silver eyed girl's sense of justice and purity, and the white-clad girl's compassion for her companions. They all remind me of her," he thinks, but then grips his head for a moment.
"Destroy the Scions of the Prime, and all who stand with them. NOW," the voice in his head commands.
The slight pain fades and the figure growls at Yang before charging at her. Meanwhile, with Hazel still outside, Qrow and Ozpin focus their attention on Lionheart. Lionheart fires off his gauntlet several times, but Qrow deflects the shots while giving Ozpin the chance to come in from the side and make a swing at Lionheart's back with his cane, followed by Qrow throwing a side kick at him, sending him crashing into a wall. Meanwhile, Dreadwing and Skyquake continue their bout with the ghoul. The ghoul roars as it throws a haymaker at Skyquake, who blocks it. Dreadwing runs around him and slashes at its side with his sword, turning the ghoul's attention towards him. The ghoul tries to grab Dreadwing, only for Skyquake to grab him from behind and fling him over Skyquake and onto the ground. The twins jump back as the ghoul gets back onto its feet, but then Dreadwing pulls out his remote and hits a switch. The Ghoul hears some beeping behind it and looks back to find a mine on the ground behind its feet. The mine explodes, nailing the ghoul and propelling it towards the twins, who hit with a double punch to the face.
Meanwhile, Weiss conjures up a glyph and summons a Queen Lancer that flies around and attacks Emerald. Emerald rolls out of the way and fires off her pistols, but they don't have much effect against the summon. Weiss glides across the floor on her glyphs and make a few swings of her rapier at the former thief, forcing her onto the defensive. Ruby keeps Mercury on his metal toes by flying around him with her semblance, making hit and run strikes with her scythe and keeping him from getting too close to use his boots on her. Back with Yang, she backflips away when the masked figure tries to slam his right fist down on her into the ground
Down in the vault, Raven confronts Cinder, "This whole time, Vernal was just a decoy. The last Spring Maiden must've trusted you a great deal when she died... I bet that was a mistake," Cinder says as she looks back at Raven.
Raven growls and gets ready to attack, only for something to suddenly slam into her back and force her onto the ground. She looks up as she feels a metal boot on her back, finding the real Starscream standing on top of her with a sinister smirk.
"Surprise," Starscream says, sniper rifle aimed at her skull, though just holding it there since Salem needs to be the one to do the deed.
"But she wasn't the only one that made a mistake, Raven," Cinder says as she slowly walks towards her. "You made the mistake of thinking you could outsmart me and my companion here. Truth be told, he thought you might try something like this. Don't worry, it will be your last," Cinder says as she raises her left arm at Raven.
However, they hear some noise behind them, only to see Megatron appear and ram his hoverboard right into Starscream, sending him crashing into Cinder away from them. Megatron lands next to Raven as she gets back on her feet.
"So, this is where you were, Starscream. Why am I not surprised? You sent your clones after me while you were hiding the last time you tried this stunt. Why should it change now? In the end, you are still nothing but a sniveling coward," Megatron notes, engaging his arm blade
"Megatron!" Starscream yells as he and Cinder get back on their feet. "That has changed since I came here, Megatron. I will show you this day!"
"How quickly the tide can change in battle. But worry not about that. Rather, worry about what I'm going to do to you, Starscream," Megatron threatens him.
Raven glances at him, "Any chance for a truce between us?" she asks.
Megatron grunts, "Only until these two have been dealt with. You still have to answer for luring Yang into that trap of yours," he replies.
"Hmph. Fair enough," Raven says as she draws her sword.
A moment passes before all four fighters charge at each other. Megatron makes the first attack with a wide swing of his arm blade. Cinder and Starscream fly over the swing, but Raven appears in the air behind him, swinging her sword at Cinder as the two women crash into each other. Starscream stops and prepares to help, only to duck when Megatron fires a shot at him with his arm cannon. Megatron charges at him and swings his arm blade at Starscream. Starscream flies into the air to evade him and starts firing some shots with his sniper rifle while Megatron evades them. Raven and Cinder clash with their blades. Cinder makes a low swing with her sword, but Raven jumps back, creating an ice wall behind her and propelling off of it to slash her blade won on Cinder. Cinder steps back to avoid it and counters with a thrust of her sword, only for Raven to parry it and then make an upward slash of her sword, causing Cinder to jump back again.
Meanwhile, Starscream continues to fly around as Megatron fires his arm cannon at him. He could use his semblance, but after using quite a bit of his strength in the fight with the clones and the masked figure, he has to dial it down a bit. Still, it won't change how his fight with Starscream will end. He'd rather suffer Unicron's torment for an eternity than lose to this weakling. Starscream brings out his sword and lands back on the pathway to swing it down on Megatron. Megatron blocks with his arm blade, and then kicks Starscream away. Megatron sees Cinder and Raven still duking it out. Raven makes a swing with her sword, as does Cinder, only for the two blades to shatter, with a piece of Cinder's blade imbedding itself in her Grimm arm. Her cry of pain makes Starscream turn his head back to her in concern before flying over to join her.
"Aura can't protect your arm. It's Grimm," Raven notes as Cinder pulls the shard out, while Megatron stands with Raven.
"You allowed yourself to become a monster in order to obtain power," Megatron notes with disgust.
"Oh please, like you're any better, Megatron. If anything, you're far worse. Or have you forgotten," Starscream taunts him.
"...At least I have the strength to admit to and atone for my mistakes, unlike you, Starscream," Megatron retorts, making him growl in anger.
Cinder creates another pair of blades in her hands, and Raven draws another Dust Blade. A moment later, all four charge at each other once again. Megatron makes the first move by swinging his arm blade at Cinder, shattering her sword, while Raven jumps over him to swing her blade wide at Starscream, who breaks her blade with his own. Raven backflips as Megatron comes in with a punch to Starscream's face, but then Cinder rushes in with another blade in her right hand, swinging it at his open back, only for Raven to block the attack with her own sword. Raven ducks, and Megatron fires his arm cannon at her, but Cinder evades the shot, and then Starscream flies in to swing his sword at Megatron, who deflects the attack with his left arm. Raven and Cinder engage in a flurry of strikes, each time shattering the other's blade, and each time bringing out a new one. Starscream tries to attack Raven from behind with a rifle shot, but Megatron blocks it with his arm blade and counters with his arm cannon, forcing Starscream back into the air. Starscream then fires off one of his missiles, but Megatron grabs it and redirects it back at him. Starscream yelps just as narrowly avoids the thrown missile, it hitting the rock ceiling above them, and causing the stalactites above to start shaking.
Meanwhile, Raven and Cinder continue their own duel, zooming across the pathway as they go through more of their sword. At one point, the pair separate and summon their maiden powers. Cinder creates a large sword of flame in her hands, while Raven creates a large odachi blade made of ice in hers. The two jump into the air and clash their blades against one another, creating a massive shockwave that shakes the area. However, Starscream flies in and double kicks Raven towards the pathway. Megatron gets ready, and Raven manages to right herself and land on his outstretched right hand, roaring as he throws her back into the air, spinning. Raven uses the momentum to swing her blade wide, first smacking Starscream into a wall, and then clashing her blade again with Cinder's. However, their battle causes the stalactites from above to start falling down on top of them, separating the pair as it crashes onto the pathway and breaks apart. Cinder stretches out her Grimm arm to try and grab Raven, only for Megatron to catch her Grimm hand with his left hand. Megatron makes a hard pull and reels Cinder in for a hard punch to the face. Starscream flies in and manages a surprise kick to Megatron's face, but then goes to help Cinder. Raven smirks, using her powers to freeze the pair's feet to the floor. They look at her, and then look up just in time to see a large stalactite crash down on top of them. Raven flies into the air to land on top of another falling stalactite, followed by Megatron who bounces between a few more pieces of falling debris to land next to her.
"Get ready," Megatron mutters as they look down towards the dust and smoke beneath them.
Soon enough, they see Cinder and Starscream flying through the smoke towards them. Cinder creates two more blades while Starscream draws his sword. The two foes attack with overhead swings at their opponents, but both Megatron and Raven block their attacks as they fly over and land behind them. Raven and Cinder shoot up into the air, bouncing off from falling debris and clashing their blades in mid-air. Meanwhile, Megatron and Starscream clash their blades against one another on the stalactite they're still on. Megatron pushes Starscream back, but Starscream hits the thrusters on his legs and jumps over Megatron, forcing him to stumble past while Starscream gets a shot off on his back. Megatron growls and turns around to fire his arm cannon at him, but Starscream flies into the air, while Megatron gives chase. Meanwhile, Raven and Cinder clash their blades in mid-air again before separating. Raven lands on the side of one falling debris, but then jumps off when Cinder attacks, causing her to crash into and destroy the falling rock. Raven lands on another falling rock and runs at her as Cinder flies in again, their blades clashing once more as they fly by each other.
Megatron jumps between the falling rocks as he slams his arm blade against Starscream's sword. Megatron kicks Starscream away and lands on another falling stalactite. Starscream fires off his other missiles, but Megatron blasts it as it gets close with his arm cannon, throwing up smoke. However, Starscream flies through the smoke and tackles him to the ground, sliding his face across the stone as they near the edge. However, Megatron manages to use the momentum to roll himself back onto his feet while grabbing Starscream, and then German suplexes him onto the rock, nearly shattering the whole thing. He aims his arm cannon at him, but then notices Raven and Cinder's battle and runs toward them. On another stalactite, Cinder fires off a fire ball at Raven, but misses and gets kicked in the stomach by Raven as a large rock lands in between them. Raven slices through the rock in one swing and rushes forward, slashing her blade and breaking one of Cinder's swords. Cinder jumps back, only for Megatron to suddenly appear and punch her in the back, sending her flying at Raven, who slashes her blade across her chest as she flies by. Cinder lands behind them and gets back on her feet. Raven and Megatron get ready to fight her, only for Starscream to appear and crash into Megatron, taking the two of them off of the falling rock. This ends up saving them as the falling rock crashes onto the pathway, with Raven and Cinder still on it. When the dust settles, Raven is the first to stand up, though both her and Cinder's auras are now depleted. Raven looks up to see Megatron grappling with Starscream in the air, but then Megatron head-butts him in the face before firing his arm cannon point blank at his chest, sending him crashing near Cinder, while Megatron lands on his feet next to Raven.
Megatron takes a breath, "I must admit, Starscream, you're stronger than the last time we met, not like the sniveling, lying, traitor you were before. But, like you, I too have grown stronger from my time here. In ways you couldn't understand," Megatron says.
"So, have you two had enough of a beating yet?" Raven taunts them.
"Shut up!" Cinder yells, still on her knees.
Starscream gets onto one knee, "I'm not finished yet, Megatron. Not until I've made you pay for everything you put me through!" Starscream yells.
"Maybe if you two hadn't overestimated yourselves... you would remember to watch your backs," Raven says, hands on her hips.
Cinder stares at them, but then her eyes widen as she looks back to see Vernal, barely clinging to life, as she aims her pistol at her and pulls the trigger. Starscream blocks the shot with his sniper rifle, but this gives Megatron the chance to jump at him, slugging him to the edge of the pathway. Cinder goes to attack Megatron from behind, only for Raven to appear at her side and clamps her hand down on her face, sending out a powerful electric shock through her body. The blast sends her flying over the edge of the pathway, her mask falling apart. She falls down into the abyss below, watching as Raven uses her power to freeze her body solid before she disappears into the darkness below. Megatron watches the scene unfold before turning his attention back to Starscream, who also saw what happened, his eyes widening in horror.
Starscream's fists clenches in anger, "How... How DARE you do that to Lady Cinder! You will PAY!" he shouts and lunges at Raven
Ravensimply side-steps the charge, allowing Megatron to aim his arm cannon and fire, hitting Starscream across the right side of his face, destroying his aura. The blast knocks him off the pathway and he, too, falls into the abyss below.
Megatron stares down at the abyss before turning to Raven, who closes Vernal's eyes as she finally passes on.
"Thank you for your loyalty, Vernal," Raven mutters, and then faces Megatron. "Well, seeing as those two have been dealt with, I'd say that our truce is at an end, isn't it?" she asks.
Megatron narrows his eyes at her, "So it would seem," he says.
Two problems down. One more to go before he can get the relic. The two then ready their weapons for one last duel.

Anyway, Megatron and Raven have dealt with Cinder and Starscream, but now they must face each other, while everyone else continues the battle up top. Who will claim the Relic of Knowledge?
