As Casey's labor progressed, she demanded that the wedding speeches continue. Blake, Dominic's friend, cleared his throat "When I first met Sargeā¦he was already a legend. I was trying so hard to impress him without realizing that he wasn't just his reputation. He was just a friendly person, which is a rare thing to see with the rise in ranks. Most COs are cold and it takes a while for them to warm up to you. Sarge, was the opposite. Even though he had his own unit, he still checked on everybody to see if we were all okay. He's like the Mr. Rogers of the Corp." That earned a birthing suite full of laughs.
Blake continued, "Even though he was always looking out for everyone, we all knew that he was missing someone special. Of course, he missed Nova, but he was also missing a special woman in his life. I don't think that any of us knew, including Sarge, that the woman was Olivia. I haven't known you long, but thank you for completing him." Olivia was fighting tears but managed to say, "My pleasure." Casey had just breathed through a nasty contraction before looking to the group. "My speech is last because I doubt the kid will stay in longer." They all gave her their attention.
"There is a lot about my friendship with Liv that most of you don't know. Liv and I knew each other in elementary school" Casey tried to stop the tears from welling up as Olivia squeezed her hand gently and gave her a look that said 'you don't have to tell them'. Casey continued to speak, "My mom had just gotten remarried and her husband had a thing for little girls. Olivia, even at 8 years old, didn't stop asking me until I told her. Then, she encouraged me to talk to a teacher. Long story short, my stepdad went to jail, my parents eventually got back together, and I knew that Olivia was meant to be a cop or social worker. We fell out of touch for a long time, and reconnected when I came to SVU. Olivia helped me through my attack at the DA's office, my oldest son being born with glass bones, and everything in-between. I have never been more grateful that you were born nor have I been more honored to carry your child. Thank you for existing. Dominic thank you for loving her unconditionally. And thank the both of you for blessing us with witnessing you two navigate parenthood with some pretty rocking kids." Olivia pulled Casey into a fierce hug. Dominic reached out to grab her hand and yelped as Casey nearly broke it.
Casey clapped loudly, "Baby is coming now. I don't want half the NYPD seeing my naughty bits, so get out!" Everyone humorously left the room except Dominic, Olivia, and Casey's husband. An hour and a half later, Casey cried as she watched Olivia hold her daughter. Dominic managed to cut the cord perfectly even through watery eyes. The doctors cleaned up Casey and the baby; about a half an hour later, their large makeshift family came back in along with their children. Noah and Nova were in awe of their beautiful little sister. She had a hair color more similar to Noah's with a skin tone closer to Olivia's. She opened her eyes once to reveal Olivia's chocolate eyes. Noah barely touched her, "She's perfect. What's her name?" he asked his parents. Dominic looked to Olivia and said, "We want you and Nova to name your sister." The two children whispered to each other for a moment before saying together, "Aria Casey Pruitt". Casey, who had just been wheeled back into the room, gasped as Nova said, "Thank you Aunt Casey for bringing our sister out safe." They whole room broke out in 'awws and oohs'. Olivia watched as Aria was passed around and said to her husband, "I would say that love is a four-letter word that made us whole, but I'd be wrong." Dominic raised a brow, "Oh yeah?" Olivia smiled and said, "They made us whole. All of them." He kissed her temple and agreed.
