"Okay. We need to find those guys again," Leo stated firmly. It was the following night. We all got some sleep, even Mikey, and spoke with Sensei about our encounter. They were strange. We needed to know who they were and what they were up to.

I sniffed. It was a chilly night, "It's a big city. They could be anywhere. I can't imagine we'll just come across them?"

"We seem to attract the weird in this town so, ya I'm pretty sure we'll come across them," Leo replied but didn't sound too entirely sure.

"In the meantime, you think those Purple Dragons over there want a beat down tonight?" Raph asked. He had Donnie's binoculars to his eyes. We were down by the New York harbor docks for our patrol tonight, hoping to catch a glimpse of Foot activity, but Purple Dragons was good too. The Black Market was usually booming down here and all the big gangs in town congregated for it.

Leo gestured for the binoculars, which Ralph graciously handed over. He was like an eager dog, "There's quite a few of them. Let's scope out the area first, see what we're dealing with before making any moves."

The moonless night made it particularly easy to blend in with the shadows but Leo was right. There were a lot of Purple Dragons here. There was another group of men too that equaled Purple Dragons in Force. I didn't recognize them though, they had no insignia or anything. Some kind of trade was happening in one of the big warehouses. From the shipping containers to the rooftop we went, to the catwalk just below. We had a clear view of what was going on.

"Ugh. Great. Hun is here," Donnie observed bitterly. We all saw him. Hun was difficult not to spot. He was such a massive man.

"Then who's that?" Mikey pointed to a man who walked out of some office. I couldn't believe it. He was massive. He might have been even bigger than Hun was, "There's two Huns?"

"As if one wasn't bad enough," I whispered.

"Maybe they're brothers? Or maybe Hun has doppelgänger!" Mikey said, his voice getting a little too loud. Leo shoved his head.

"Keep your voice down!"

"I might believe the brothers idea. They have got to have some of the same DNA or something!" Donnie commented, "It can't be possible for two average humans to be that size."

"Clearly it's possible, brain head," Ralph muttered.

Another group of people stepped forward. My jaw almost dropped. The men in the suits from last night. There was like, two dozen of them now.

Almost on cue, I felt Leo lean toward me, "Remember when I said we attract all the weird in this town?"

I made a face, "To be fair, we came across them. Not the other way around."

My brother shrugged, still thinking his point stood.

Below, Hun and the other massive man stopped in front of each other and shook hands like they were long-distant friends.

"It's good to see you, Fisk," Hun was actually smiling a little. Not sure I'd ever seen that. Almost seemed unreal, "It's been a long time."

"Likewise. I was surprised to get a call from you. It's been years," Fisk shared his, date I say it, humbled smile, "I look forward to doing shared business with the Purple Dragons and Foot clan. And..." Fisk turned to the men in the suits, "... whomever your partner is."

"We are the ones called Kraang," One of the men said in a really strange voice, "The one named Hun has called Kraang to be here today to deliver the item that was specially requested by Hun."

Fisk rose a confused brow to Hun.I actually shared in his confusion, "Why are they talking so weird?" I whispered.

"And what kinda gang name is Kraang?" Raph whispered, perhaps more to himself.

"They sound like-" Donnie started until Mikey cut him off.

"Like robots? That's what I was telling you guys last night!"

Leo shushed him, "Knock it off with the robot talk. They're not robots. They're clearly humans that… just talk funny?"

"It's robot talk," Mikey muttered in a pout.

"Go along with it," Hun said, then turned to the speaking Kraang member, "You have the shipment?"

"Kraang has the shipment of which the ones called the Purple Dragons have requested of Kraang whom have delivered such shipment to the Purple Dragons."

Several of the Kraang members brought a thick metal-looking briefcase forward. Unfortunately, there was never a chance to open it. The lights in the warehouse went out, flickered quickly. I heard yells and shouts follow moments later. The noise I heard between that was hard to describe. Something was shooting, but it didn't sound like a gun. It sounded… sticky?

A minute later. The lights were back to normal. Most of Fisk's men and the Purple Dragons had been… webbed? That's definitely what it looked like. Of course, it made sense since the person responsible for it was standing in the middle of the room.

"Hey, fellas."

I was sure Mikey was about to cry, "Holy chalupa! That's Spider-Man!"

Spider-Man. We'd only heard of him on TV. A vigilante whom we all mildly admired but never thought we have a chance of crossing paths with. He seemed to stick to the Queens area. What was he doing in Manhattan?

"Spider-Man," Fisk seemed very annoyed when he said the name, "You're a thorn in my side."

Spider-Man shrugged, "Can't quite tweeze me out, can ya? You'd miss me too much if you did," He looked behind him, at Hun, "I didn't know you had a brother?"

Hun had dangerous eyes, "Boy, you're stepping on thin ice, interfering with this-"

"Business transaction? I saw the briefcase. Must be pretty important if you're all meeting in this classy place," Spider-Man gestured to the whole warehouse, "Unfortunately, I'm going to have to decline your credit card. Maybe call the bank?"

Immediately, we were watching Spider-Man in action. He webbed Fisks and Huns face before turning to the Kraang members. He wanted the briefcase. The Kraang pulled their guns out, however, they didn't shoot bullets. The guns were blasters that shot purple lasers. I felt like I was watching a live-action Star Wars movie. This night literally couldn't get any weirder.

"Kraang will destroy the one called Spider-Man in order to continue Kraang business without interference from Spider-Man."

Spider-Man stopped for a moment in front of them, "Spider-Man will take the briefcase from the ones called Kraang and call it a good night," He sounded like he was trying not to laugh.

"Kraang does not condone this action from the one called Spider-Man."

"So, Spider-Man knows who these guys are?" Donnie commented, "He'd have a little knowledge here."

"He knows Huns new business partner too," I pointed to Fisk, "What should we do?"

"Well, do you think Spider-Man can hold off the Kraang, Hun, Fisk, and gang members?" Mikey asked eagerly. Both Hun and Fisk have gotten the webbing off their faces and ordered the men whom had entered the warehouse to attack. Spider-Man was a little outnumbered here.

"This seems a little unfair, doesn't it?" Spider-Man asked, holding shrugged shoulders, "One at a time?"

The crowd didn't hold back and though it was impressive to see him take on so many. He was surely going to be overwhelmed. For a pretty well-known vigilante, he didn't really work this one out, did he?

"So?" Raph looked good Leo, who nodded.

"He has information we need. We help him, maybe he'll talk."

Mikey cheered excitedly and stood up, being the first to join the battle.

"What if he didn't share anything?" Donnie asked.

Leo was already headed over the railing but took a second to pause and look over his shoulder, "Raph can help with that."

Donnie seemed a bit horrified with the thought while Raph grinned, almost in a sadistically evil way. I exhaled. Here we go.

The jump was a bit of stretch, even for someone like me. A tad too high with any soft landing. The handy thing about training with my brothers for so long was that one of our many unspoken rules was that the last turtle to jump, was the turtle to catch me. That was Donatello this time around. With an ongoing battle, my landing in his arms was more of using a trampoline. Feet first, and I was catapulted back into the air and over to a group of mixed Purple Dragons and Fisk Thugs, as I just now called them.

I didn't bother unsheathing my wakizashi. These guys were tough but not lethal enough for me to draw any blood. Though Mikey looked like he was having fun wacking them in the face with his nunchucks.

"Whoa! Who are you guys?" I heard Spider-Man gasp over the fight.

"Turtles!" Hun shouted.

Mikey pointed knowingly, almost laughing, "What he said! We're on your side, dude! And by the way, I'm a huge fan!"

"Well, I do like flattery," Spider-Man laughed awkwardly, "Even from giant reptiles."

I found myself face to face with one of those Kraang members. This time I felt a little more prepared to fight them. He swung, and instead of making some kind of counter-strike, I used his momentum to grab his arm and swing him over my back and into another Kraang dude trying to sneak up behind me. Definitely caught them off guard. They returned to their feet rather easily and came at me from both sides. One punched. I ducked. The other kicked. I blocked. Another punch. I swerved and let his fist hit the second Kraang guy. The punch was so hard that it actually twisted the guys head in a 180. I could have sworn I saw sparks fly from his neck as he fell to the ground.

I made a face. Another example of the impossible strength of the Kraang.

I turned back to the remaining standing Kraang dude, who had his blaster pointed at me. This was a good time to pull out my wakizashi and really feel like I was in Star Wars, deflecting the lasers. At first, I felt pretty cool but soon the shots seemed never-ending and I started feeling irritated. I came forward, about to cut his stupid blaster in half when the Kraang guy was pulled to the ceiling with webbing. I could see the guy just flailing around like a fly in a spiderweb. Spider-Man dropped beside me, the white eyes of his mask were wide.

"I'll admit that was pretty cool but should you really be here… uh, civilian? Or are you a Purple Dragon?"

It felt weird that my brothers were easily accepted into this but Spider-Man seeing a girl in this was what was throwing him off.

"Jade," I heard Hun growl behind us, "So glad to see you're okay. I was so worried."

I felt exasperated. This night was getting better and better. So much better in fact, that Fisk came side by side with Hun. He looked so much bigger when you were standing ten feet away. And I was right, Fisk was much larger than Hun.

"Who is this now?" Fisk asked, squinting at me like I was an ant.

"This is the girl we spoke of. The one Shredder and Baxter Stockman have been attempting to get a hold of."

There was clarity. There must had been many conversations involving my name. Fisk nodded his head, "How lovely to meet you and your… other friends."

"Am I missing something here? They know who you are?" Spider-Man scratched his head, after kicking down a Purple Dragon, "And you know them?"

"It's a small world apparently," I said, unenthusiastically, "Hun. Tell your tinheaded master that I don't want to come over for a sleepover."

"Tell him yourself," Hun's fist swung, hitting the ground in front of me. I had backed away but I'd almost forgotten how quick Hun was, even for his size he had some incredible speed.

Hun was an opponent I was sure how to go about fighting. I had a disadvantage being a smaller person but my brothers were bigger than me and I could fight them with at least some courage. I could puff my chest all I wanted to Hun but his size was all four my brothers combined. I was far weaker than he was. A one on one match with him was basically an unfair fight. And now I had Fisk too so I might as well just let them take me now.

Fortunately, Spider-Man webbed Huns fist the ground, which gave me the opportunity to almost use Huns arm as an elevated ramp to his little head. A kick to the nose. Blood spurted from his nostrils and it felt pretty good until I realized that it would only piss him off. Spider-Man has webbed one of Fisk's feet to the ground and while he looked down in an effort to tear away, I used his own body to parkour to his head. Another kick. Behind me, Spider-Man had also given Hun a couple hits.

This was… actually getting enjoyable.

"Save some fun for me," Raph pushed his way to me. As enjoyable as this little fight was getting, the average look gang members were more of an average fight.

"Be my guest, please," I waved a hand as if letting my brother pass by me on a red carpet. I noted that Leo also made his way toward Hun and Fisk.

Around me, the majority of the gang member thugs were on the ground. My brothers had even managed to take out more of the Kraang. Donnie hinted that their stomachs were a soft spot. I remembered that clearly when the next Kraang guys ran towards me with a blaster in hand. I used the butt end of my wakizashi handle to jab the man in the stomach, and like my brother had said, the dude literally blended over backward in pain. When I kicked his stupid face, he fell over and didn't move.

"Alright," I breathed heavily, "Stomach works. Got it."

Mikey was playing tug of war with a Kraang member over the briefcase. I ran to him, using the same strategy as before. It worked well. The man fell backward and Mikey onto his shell.

"Help! I'm a turtle and I can't get up!" I took him by the hand and helped him to his feet. The Kraang was back up and ready for another fight. Mikey put the briefcase into my hands, "Here, you can have it."

There wasn't much action happening around me. A lot of the battle was happening around me so I took the opportunity to place the briefcase thing over to a couple of wooden crates. I set it on top and easily opened it. Silly Kraang for not having any kind of security for whatever is, if it was so important.

It was glowing. A canister of some sort. Whatever was inside of it was slimy, like an oozy substance. It was green with small purple specs, "Ugh. Gross."

"Raph!"

I glanced over my shoulder. The fight was over but Fisk had Raph on his shell, holding him down and Hun had a very large gun pointed at my brother's head.

"Move… and I blow his brains," Hun growled. Not even the amazing Spider-Man made a move, "Jade, bring me that and I'll let him go."

"You're such a fuckin' liar," Raph spurted. A loud groan followed as Fisk our more weight on his plastron.

I felt my arms tingle. I didn't like holding it but whatever it was, it was important enough to get the attention of the Purple Dragons and the Shredder. They couldn't have it, "I'm not sure I believe you either, Hun," I said cautiously, still faces away from them. I slowly took the canister out of the briefcase and lowered it into the crate in front of me. I silently prayed they wouldn't notice.

"Well, I'm not sure you have much of a choice, sweetheart."

No

"Do not give him that," Spider-Man piped in. I eyed him as I turned around.

"No offense, but I don't know you so your vote on this doesn't count."

Spider-Man gave an exaggerated wave, "Hi, I'm you're friendly neighborhood-"

"Pain in the ass," Fisk stuck in.

"Spider-Man," Spider-Man continued, "And I really don't suggest giving him that briefcase."

"It's not your brother on the ground, bud," I shared a look with Leo, Donnie, and Mike, "I'm going to give this to him so we can leave with our brother."

"Brother?" Spider-Man whispered to himself, disbelieving.

"That is a very good idea," Fisk muttered, holding out his hand. I carefully gave him the briefcase. Fisk's fingers curled around the handle and he looked to Hun.

Hun laughed, "You really think we're going to let him go?"

I shook my head, "Nope."

Donnie threw two smoke pellets, both towards the two men. Spider-Man webbed Huns gun and pulled it away. Leo and Mikey jumped, pushing Fisk off balance for Raph to squeeze out from under his foot. Our escape was quick and silent. I did take a second to stop by the crate and grab that small little canister. I shoved it in my pocket and followed my brothers out of the building and back into the city.

Once we caught our breath on the nearest rooftop, I looked around to see the damage. I was completely fine. Leo was holding one of his arms tenderly and Raph spurted up a little blood, he muttered something about killing Hun and Fisk. Donnie and Mikey looked normal.

And Spider-Man, who I didn't even know had followed us, seemed to be okay too.

"Okay, so, this is crazy!" He said pointing to my brothers, "You're talking turtles. And you know karate?"

"It's ninjitsu," Leo corrected.

"Right. And you're their sister?" Spider-Man looked to me.

I rubbed the back of my neck. I wasn't in the mood to go into that tale, "More of an adopted sister. It's a long story. Rather not get into it right now.

Spider-Man accepted this, though maybe a bit hesitant before moving on, "And you know who the Kraang are? And the Purple Dragons?"

"We've been dealing with Purple Dragon goons for a very long time," Donnie explained briefly, "We have some history with them. The Kraang are new. We ran into the last night."

"What's the deal with those Kraang guys anyway?" Raph asked through a small fit of coughs, "Why they so fuckin' indestructible?"

Spider-Man shook his head, "I'm not sure. I've only seen them a couple of times. They're not my favorite opponents. Super strong and they all look the same?"

"Because they're robots, dog!" Mikey said with enthusiasm, "I saw their brains!"

"Dude, just stop," Raph glared, embarrassed.

Spider-Man turned his head to Mikey, "Wait, really? That would be so cool!"

What?

"That I saw their brains or that they're robots?" Mikey asked, suddenly confused.

"If they're robots!" Spider-Man said, "That would make so much sense! They're super strong!"

"They definitely are made of hard metal that's painted like skin!" Mikey added.

"They all look identical!"

"And they talk just like robots!"

Spider-Man and Mikey had moved closer to each other during this. Once they were close enough, they high fived each other.

"Great, two Mikeys," Raph muttered.

Leo looked so annoyed, "Okay. Can we stay on topic here?" He asked, exasperating his tone incredibly, "Who's Fisk?"

"His real name is Wilson Fisk but he's well known as Kingpin. He's a very powerful crime lord. He has connections in the Mafia, the Black Market, and just about any gang you could think of. Including the Purple Dragons, as you know now," Spider-Man explained, "I've never met Hun but right before I busted Fisk during a Black Market trade in Queens, he had mentioned something about Hun with a colleague."

"Any idea who that colleague was?" Donnie asked.

Spider-Man shrugged, "Beats me. I think he was just some ordinary gang member. Their conversation was more of one that was delivering secret messages than scheming some evil plans."

Leo sat down on the edge of the rooftop, "What did they say?"

"Just that they were meeting soon, at that warehouse, to chat about future plans and receive a shipment from the Kraang. That's why I was there tonight."

"So what was that briefcase they wanted? What was in it?"

Spider-Man shrugged, "Honestly, I don't know. But if Fisk wants his hands on it, it's definitely not good."

I pulled the canister from my pocket, "This was in that briefcase."

Donnie and Spider-Man almost ran over to me. My brother took it from my hands and inspected it closer.

"What is that?" Mikey asked.

"Some kind of chemical substance," Donnie murmured, rotating the canister.

"I've seen this before. I don't know of any elements that could combine to make that," Spider-Man added, "Radioactive, maybe?"

I tilted my head, "You've seen it before?"

Spider-Man nodded, "Yes. A long time ago.

"I'll need to do some testing," Donnie said, "I definitely wouldn't rule out radioactive. I wonder what they planned on doing with this?"

"Like the kid said," Raph huffed, "Something bad."

"This is totally crazy," Spider-Man sighed, stepping back. He turned to me, "So what exactly do Hun and Fisk want from you?"

I felt a little awkward I couldn't pinpoint the reason why. When we first met April, we all unloaded our entire lives to her. We trusted basically right off the bat but now facing a vigilante like ourselves, I wasn't sure what to say. I didn't not trust him. I wasn't sure what the feeling was, "Uhm… another long story."

Spider-Man stayed silent for a second and it seemed like he was about to push for me to speak but instead, he stopped himself. He nodded softly, his voice just as gentle. He seemed to tell there was a lot of bad history, "Okay."

"Jade, do you want us to share instead?" Leo asked, his brotherly concern was kicking in.

"What exactly are we telling him?" I asked, biting my lip.

Leo looked to Spider-Man. There wasn't an uneasiness in my brothers contortion, but I could sense he kind of felt the same as I did. Spider-Man wasn't trouble, but it felt like worlds were going to be colliding, "I have a feeling we're going to be working together a lot. You have knowledge and so do we but your trouble is going to be our trouble and the other way around. We'll watch your back if you watch ours.

There was an underlying threat in Leo's tone. He didn't say a single thing about not ratting us out to our enemies but the way that my brother held himself gave Spider-Man every warning he needed.

"Of course."

"I suppose before you guys get too far, we should introduce ourselves," Donnie piped in, "I'm Donatello."

Raph held up his hand shortly, "Raphael."

"Michaelangelo! But you call me Mikey!"

"I'm Leonardo."

"Renaissance artists, huh?" Spider-Man said heedfully, "That's pretty cool."

"At least he's got some brain," Raph muttered, resting his head back against the brick wall he sat against.

Spider-Man rested his eyes to me. He already knew my name but I gave him a single nod anyway, "Jade," I almost whispered it.

"And you are?" Mikey asked, his voice borderline going to break from the excitement. To learn the true identity of a superhero was some kind of dream to him. Unfortunately, that dream didn't look like it was going to come true.

"Uh, Spider-Man. No offense but I don't want to reveal my identity to-"

"We're about ta tell ya our life story and ya can't even tell us your name?" Raph asked angrily. He then flared at Leo, "Maybe we shouldn't tell him nothin' if he can't trust us!"

"It's not that I don't trust you guys!" Spider-Man yelped, his hands held out in front of him in a gesture to let him explain, "I've never told anyone my identity! Not even my family! It's my way of keeping myself and everyone I know safe. Plus, we're in the open. I have no idea who could be watching. Not that I don't think welder safe or anything right now but I-"

"This is such bullshit," Raph rolled his eyes, "Ya can't expect us to believe that? You're obviously hidin' something!"

"We can't bring him to the lair?" Donnie asked.

Leo was contemplating. He glanced at me for some unspoken opinion. I shrugged. I didn't feel Spider-Man was trying to bypass us in any way. He wasn't threatening or trying to deceive us in any way. If he was, he was a very good actor but that seemed so unlikely. I understood his reasoning for not sharing his identity, even to us. I suppose he could do it in the lair but then we would have completely made ourselves vulnerable to him. If he wasn't comfortable with sharing his identity, then we didn't have to share our home. We both had things that trust could build to. It was as simple as that. Besides, knowing his real name was probably the least helpful information he could share.

Leo shook his head, "We can talk here. I see no reason he absolutely needs to tell us who he is."

Raph huffed like he was the only sane one, "Why should we do the same then?"

"Trusts starts with one individual to another," Leo said simply. I was pretty sure Spider-Man had an agreeing smile on his face.

So we told him, or, more Leo and Donnie told him everything with a little commentary from Mikey. Raph and I were silent for the majority of the story. From our Sensei's backstory with the Foot, how the turtles came to be the beings they were today, our experiences with the Shredder, and ended with my little backstory. Spider-Man was patient and listened intently, only asking an occasional question. When we finished, Spider-Man commented that it was a lot to take in. He went into his own backstory, which was considerably shorter than ours.

"Well, about a year ago, a friend of mine wanted to show me this abandoned building he'd come across. It was on the edge of the warehouse district. The whole place was wired off against trespassers but when we got through the gate, we found that the building wasn't abandoned at all. On the outside, it was crumbled and derelict but inside, it was clean. There was technology I'd never seen before. My friend wanted to go inside and while I wanted to leave, I couldn't let him go in alone. There wasn't much activity but in one of the rooms, there was that same chemical ooze stuff!" He pointed to the canister Donatello was still holding, "But there was much more of it. And there were containers holding different kinds of insects and animal DNA. My friend knocked over one that contained a spider and the spider bit my hand. We heard voices and when we tried to leave, my friend was shot by a blaster."

"A blaster? Like the-" Mikey started. He didn't finish. Spider-Man nodded, confirming.

"That place belonged to the Kraang. I managed to escape. Over the course of the next few days, I became stronger. I could stick to walls. I could sense and hear beyond any human. I didn't need my glasses anymore. I became this," he gestured to himself. Spider-Man explained more of his up and coming to a vigilante. His parents had died in a plane crash. His uncle was murdered. It was tragic and traumatic. His genius science professor had his mind whacked after making artificial limbs for himself. There were a few others but they were all locked in a high-security prison. He'd had a couple of issues with the Foot but they haven't been much of a concern in his part of town. He'd never heard of the Shredder, "And now, I've been trying to figure out what Fisk is up to."

"Why didn't you go back to that Kraang hideout?" Leo asked.

"I've tried a couple of times but it's far more heavily fortified than it was a year ago. I could do it myself, I've done more dangerous jobs but… I hate admitting it. That glowing ooze stuff scares me. And it's just hard going back to that place."

His friend was murdered. He didn't touch on that too much. He didn't even say it outright but I could sense it hurt him still. How could it not?

Some silence followed. I could tell Leo was making some kind of conflicting decision, "Donnie is going to look into whatever is in that cannister," He then locked eyes with Spider-Man, "And then I want you to bring us to this Kraang facility."

Spider-Man was hesitant but he nodded, "I'd you say so. When?"

Donnie reaches into his duffel bag and pulled out a Shell Cell, "We'll contact you. It has all of our numbers," He typed something in it. I felt my own Shell Cell latched to my belt vibrate, "And now we have yours. They're non-traceable except between the other phones we all have. If you need help, press the red button. We'll be able to track you."

Spider-Man nodded, "See you all soon then."

"Again, big fan!" Mikey grinned, "Next time we see each other, can I have you sign one of my comics?"

I giggled.

SPIDER-MAN! Crazy stuff, huh? Spider-man is my favorite superhero ever so writing a fanfiction that took place in New York had to have him involved. I'm not sure if I want to include a world where the Avengers exist but it's on the table, even if it's in small detail. That would be huge but a lot of work, lol.
