"I lied to you all." There was an immediate outrage from the nine people gathered in the room. Nightwing flinched and rubbed the back of his head before sitting on the edge of the desk behind him. He held up a hand as Cyborg threw his hands up in the air. "Please let me finish Cy."

"Don't know why I should! Is Wally even under attack? I have better things to do than help you chase after your obsession!"

Dick pinched his nose and deeply sighed. "Yes Wally is under attack still, everything I told you is true, except your missions. I told you guys those jobs on the off chance my hunch was wrong." He grinned darkly. "I wasn't wrong."

Flash placed his hands flat on the table, "Okay wait, wait. Why are we down a member? Where is Jason? I haven't seen him since I got back from Hawaii two weeks ago!"

Tempest leaned forward with a smile, "Adorable pictures by the way."

"Thank you! It was so nice being there!"

Dick groaned, "Guys focus! Jason is… Working with Slade." He paused waiting for the outburst to happen, flinching when it did.

"HE IS WHAT!?"

"DICK WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!?"

Roy and Kori were standing up, Kori's hair was in flames while Roy was glaring at Dick. "I asked him to go undercover and pretend that he wanted to work for Slade again."

"Why would you do that!? Why would you willingly send your brother to who you think is the most dangerous man on the planet!?" Roy stepped up to Dick, poking him in the chest. "Why do you hate him so much Dick? You sent him on a death mission and you know it! I can't believe you!"

Dick sneered and slapped Roy's hand away, "I sent my brother, the second most dangerous man on the planet, to figure out why the fuck Slade was targeting my best friend! If you cant see the reason behind that then go!" Roy glared at him before walking to the door and leaning against the wall, twirling an arrow in his hand.

"If he gets hurt Dickie…"

"Yeah yeah, you'll have my head. I know."

Starfire glared at her husband, her hand on her protruding belly. "Richard why did you not tell me?"

"Because you would have done anything to stop him." He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her torso, "Baby he is the only one Slade might trust even minutely. It had to be Jason, if I could take his place I would have!"

As she calmed down Donna flipped her hair back. "You wouldn't be telling us this unless you had more information so spill. What's the plan?"

Changling sighed and covered his head with his hands. "That's the thing, we don't know much of anything new." Donna looked at him with a raised brow, Garfield sighed and ignored the scathing looks from the old Titans. "Dick told me the plan at the beginning. I followed Jason through Slade's lair and his first mission." He shuddered, "I never want to see that again." He reached into a pocket on his suit and pulled out a small memory card. "Jason beat up the Penguin and found some information on who wants Wally."

The group stared at the card wedged between his fingers with wide eyes before he tossed it to Dick who put it into the computer. "It's not much, but it gives us the location." He moved the slider to the area he wanted on the run-time and hit play. There was a muffled scuffle before the group heard the click of a gun being cocked.

"I don't have all night Cobblepot."

"Alright fine! I heard people wanted to kidnap Wallace West, Bruce Wayne's new toy and I wanted a piece of it! I didn't know Deathstroke had taken the hit!"

"Kidnapping doesn't sound like you Copplebot."

"I didn't know they wanted him alive! I was going to get payment up front and kill him anyways!"

"You interrupted a transmission to Deathstroke, where did it come from?"

"I don't know! Somewhere in Gotham but I couldn't be sure! It was bouncing around a lot but it stayed in Gotham."

"Anything else?"

"No! I swear!"

"Good. Pleasure doing business with you Cobblepot. This is your last warning, next time I won't be so generous."

"I swear to you Red Hood I'll get you next time! You better not show your face around these parts again, you hear me?"

"I'll hold you to it dumbass."

There was a rustle of clothes and the sound shut off. Dick pulled out the memory card and tossed it to Cyborg. "Can you copy this and give a copy to everyone?" Cyborg nodded quietly and began working on that immediately. "Garfield please understand-"

He was cut off by Gar holding up a hand. "Dude, don't. We aren't going to talk about what I saw. I'm pushing it out of my brain."

Dick raised an eyebrow at him but shrugged before turning to everyone else. "We know they are in Gotham, but so is Deathstroke and Jason. From what we've been able to get out of Jason, Slade doesn't even know who the buyers are."

Donna picked up a chair and threw it at the wall where it shattered upon impact. "Where can I find this Malaka!? I will cut off his head and march it down to Hades myself!"

Flash zipped over to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Damn girl, lets just take a chill pill!"

Starfire slammed a fist down on the table, creating a large dent. "I agree with Donna! Let us go and liberate his head!"

Raven and Cyborg looked at her in shock before Raven held Kori's shoulder. "Kori, Donna calm down. We need to figure this out rationally. Cyborg and I can track all frequencies that have been bounced around Gotham. That wire was recent, and they should be in contact with Slade again."

Dick nodded, "Wally you keep Batman and the others off us. We don't need Batman and big blue interrupting our plans and making a mess of it."

"Right."

Dick turned to Roy, "Roy and Kori I want you guys hanging around this location." He pulled the location drop Jason had sent him on the map. "This is where Slade is located. You guys will be the first defense in case something happens."

"Of course, husband."

"Whatever."

Dick sighed, "Donna protect Wally, Gar you know what to do." Donna nodded while Gar whimpered with a nod. "Thanks guys. Next time hopefully we will have more information."

Jason disassembled one of his guns, cleaning it out before putting it back together. "You want me to do what now?"

Deathstroke gave him a cursory glance before turning back to his desk. "Our benefactors fear that someone is aware of what is happening."

"And who are our benefactors exactly?" The gray eye glared at him making Jason roll his eyes, "Right sorry. Need to know basis."

"I need you to go teach Two-Face a lesson."

"That is two different subjects. Which is it? Our benefactors think someone is on our tail, or go beat up Two-Face?" Jason crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair.

"Two-Face has received information about our benefactors and has been trying to blackmail me." Slade spread out papers on his desk, proof of Two-Face's misgressions. "Just rough him up a bit, the Gotham Police still haven't figured out I'm here just yet."

Jason nodded, his mask concealing his eyeroll. "Sure, thing boss, we wouldn't want a repeat of the Knightfall situation again would we?" A one-eyed glare in his direction was all Jason needed to shove him out of the lair. As soon as the door closed behind him, he reached up and began tapping on his comm link, letting Dick know what was going on. He grappled to the roof tops and turned on his police scanner, listening to the current situations. It was unusually silent for Gotham as Jason vaulted over gaps and fire escapes. He paused outside of Crime Alley when the scanner crackled to life.

'Batman on scene. Two-Face has control of the West Gotham Bank. Thugs are armed and dangerous. Let the Bat handle this one.'

Jason groaned and ran a hand over his face before slapping his helmet on his head and taking off. He had to do this quickly and honestly hope Wally would defend his actions. He would. Maybe. Probably.

##

Red Hood winced as he landed outside the bank, the police were right when they said the Bat should handle it. It was rough. Five drones, three sentry guns, plus… He turned on his Hood vision, wincing again when he saw how many of Two-Face's thugs crawled out of the depths at the promise of money. He looked up to the ceiling and saw with a sigh the big bad Bat himself sitting on the rafters. This was going to be harder than he thought. He couldn't go into the vents with Batman there, but he couldn't just waltz in. He paused and thought for a moment before groaning and tapping on the private link to Dick. There was a reply before the open link buzzed to life.

"Heya B? Got another problem over here."

"What is it Nightwing? Can you handle it?"

"Eh… Yes and no, I need some help."

"What's wrong? Talk to me Nightwing."

"Uh…."

Jason groaned and grappled to the top of the building, there was a large glass ceiling that he crouched on, looking down and surveying the area. Batman had his hand on his ear, hiding in the dark. The thugs rushed in and out of the safe, taking the bags of money (Gotham really needed to get with the digital times here) and carrying them to an armored truck. Jason stared at the truck for a minute when the horrifying half and half bastard jumped on top of the truck, right under the glass ceiling. Perfect. Jason stood up and took a few steps backwards, he pulled out his trusty pistols and took a running leap at the glass, bringing his knees down. The glass shattered upon impact and everyone turned to look up at him. He could feel Bruce glaring at him as he careened towards Two-Face. Jason reached back and threw his pistol at Two-Face, a dull thunk sounded as it collided with his face.

"Agh!" Two-face's bare eye rolled around as the gun bounced off his face and back into Jason's hand. Dent clutched his face and staggered as Jason landed with a loud boom from the hollow van behind him. Jason wrapped his arms around the ex-DA, the cold metal of a gun pressing into his bad side and to his good temple. Red Hood snarled into Two-Face's ear before snapping at the thugs.

"One wrong move and your precious half and half bastard gets it!" The thugs stopped advancing, staring at him warily. "Good thinking. You're all getting smarter."

Two-Face snarled, "What's the meaning of this Hood!?" Jason fought revulsion as Dent's tongue brushed against the holes in his cheek. "I heard you beat up Penguin last week, was Cobblepot not enough to satisfy your bloodthirst?"

Jason growled and pressed the barrel of the gun deeper into his side. "Shut up Dent. You're coming with me, you got that?"

"And why would I do that?"

Jason removed the gun from Two-Face's side, grabbing a combat knife from behind his back. He pressed the flat edge against the good side of Two-face's face. "If you don't, your pretty face will be ruined even further. I don't care what your dumbass thugs do here, but you're coming with me. Got it?" Two-Face swallowed nervously and nodded subtly. "Good." Jason put away his knife and wrapped an arm around Dent's waist, pulling out his grappling hook and lifting off. As he quickly ascended, he looked back down to the thugs, "They're all yours Batman!" He laughed as the thugs began frantically looking for the dark knight.

Jason picked up Two-Face by the collar of his jacket and tossed him into the empty warehouse. Two-Face yelped as he skidded to a halt on the concrete. Jason didn't give him a chance to get up before grabbing him again. Red Hood spun in a circle, throwing Dent at the last second so his side crashed into the wall. Dent collapsed to the floor with a wheeze, he tried to reach for his gun that had fallen out of his coat before Jason kicked it away. Red Hood stepped on Two-Face's arm, putting his weight on his one foot. Dent cried out in pain as Jason reached into his boot and pulled out a large bowie knife, holding it to the clean skin on Dent's cheek.

"What do you know about the hit on Wallace West?"

Two-Face sneered, "I'm not going to tell you anything Hood!"

Jason sighed and pressed the tip of the knife deeper into his cheek, just barely keeping the skin from breaking. "Look Harvey. I can rough you up some more, or you can answer me with the truth."

"Go to hell!"

Jason rolled his eyes and pressed the knife down until the skin gave way. "We could have done this easy Harv." Jason slipped the knife down his cheek lazily, making a shallow cut into the good side. Dent cried out in pain gasping when Jason slipped the knife out. He panted as Red Hood stood up, flinching when Jason picked him up again. "What," he threw him across the room, "do," Jason stalked towards Two-Face who was trying to crawl away, "you," a stomp on his ankle, the shattering of bones, "know!?" He roared the last part, picking him up by the neck and holding him against the wall.

Two-Face clawed at the armored hand on his throat, gasping for air. "I told you! I don't know what you're talking about!"

Jason pulled his fist back, before letting it snap forward, crushing into Dent's face. "I'm warning you Dent! Tell me the truth!" He dropped the ex-DA and aimed a kick at his ribs, watching with disinterest as the man fell to the ground, clutching his side. Jason waited until he stood up, favoring his left ankle, before throwing another punch. This one made him fly across the room. When he landed his head made a sickening crunch on the concrete. Red Hood waited a minute before stalking over, picking up Harvey's head by what hair he had left. "Did that jog your memory?"

Dent's face as screwed up in agony as he clutched at the hand aggressively holding him up. "Alright fine! I'll talk! Just let go!"

Jason let go and watched as his head snapped back to the floor, he used his toe to roll Dent over, cocking a gun at him and stepping on his chest. "Make it snappy."

Dent visibly swallowed as blood ran from his nose. "Word on the street is a big old name came back from the depths. I heard about the three mil, but I didn't know what it was for! I did some digging but couldn't find anything out so I dropped it okay?"

Jason twitched his hand to the left, shooting a warning bullet into the ground by Two-face's ear. "You're hiding something Harv."

Harvey held up his hands, "that's all I know for sure! I swear Hood! Come on, would I ever betray you?"

"Yes of course, what is this? A kid show?"

"Okay fine I would, but I swear, the only thing I've heard on the street are just fairy tales that are always passed around this time of year!"

"Enlighten me."

Harvey looked around frantically before shaking his head. "If you say the name, they send their bird after you! Besides, it's all fake isn't it?"

"If it's fake you could tell me." Sweat beaded down Harvey's good temple as he opened his mouth to answer, before Jason sneered as his comm beeped. Jason kept his gaze on Dent as he answered. "What!?"

'Is that anyway to treat your boss?'

"What do you want Wilson, I'm a little busy at the moment."

'Just checking in. Did you find Two-Face without much trouble?'

"Roughing him up right now. The Bat was there but I was able to evade him."

'Good, now hurry up, we haven't got all day.'

The comm clicked off as Jason groaned and added more pressure to his boot. "Thanks for the useless information. Now here's a warning." He reaches down and grabbed the bloodied broken nose and gave a squeeze, waiting until Two-Face's cries of pain subsided. "Stay away from Deathstroke's hits. Next time I won't be so kind." Harvey nodded in response before Jason hit him in the temple with the butt of his gun. Instantly his eyes rolled back into his head and he flopped down. The only thing proving he was still alive was the rise and fall of his chest. Jason adjusted his gloves before sighing dramatically and taking off his helmet. He strutted out of the warehouse and started walking down the street. Batman would either find Two-Face or he would get away, Jason didn't really care which.

Almost as if his thoughts summoned him a bat shaped shadow flew overhead before landing right in front of him. Jason stopped in his tracks, leveling a glare at him. Batman matched his glare and the stood there in silence before Jason began walking again, moving around the Bat.a hand stopped him as he stood side by side with his adoptive father.

"Jason what are you doing?"

Jason shrugged, "minding my own business like you should be. Go find another orphan to adopt old man." He pointed to the warehouse behind them, "Dent is in there if you want him. I have business to attend to."

Bruce watched with disappointment on his face as Jason lit up a cigarette and started walking away again. "Jason where have you been?"

"I needed a break from your happy lot okay? Just leave me alone B."

"I saw what you did to Cobblepot three weeks ago. He's still in the hospital."

Jason breathed out smoke, "should have taken him to the vet. Maybe then he could have been put down." He flicked the smoldering butt at Bruce's feet. "It's what he deserves. Better hurry up Batman, you don't want to miss what I did to Dent after I stole him from right under your nose." He flashed a smirk over his shoulder before stalking away again, his hands in his pockets. Bruce watched his retreating back sadly before turning to look at the decrepit warehouse behind him.

Jason slipped into a back alley, pulling out another cigarette and putting it in his mouth. He pulled the empty pack out of his pocket with a sigh and a glare directed at it. Jason pulled the new pack out of the other pocket and undid the plastic wrapper, putting the box back into his pocket as he tucked the plastic into the old one, a memory card wrapped in it. He looked around for a trash can, unsurprised to find none. With a disinterested shrug he threw it on the ground, watching as a cockroach already made it his new home. Jason started walking again, his hands hiding the smile on his face as he lit the cigarette in his mouth. There was a quiet sound of wings flapping behind him before they vanished in the night.
