Astrid rolled over in the sheets of her bed, feeling her head start to throb as she becomes more awake.
She turned over to see Hiccup fast asleep next to her, lay on his back head facing away so all she got was the back of his head, his bare chest was exposed and only his bottom have was slightly covered by the sheets she allowed him to have. She lifted them slightly and to her expectations ... yep completely naked.
She looked down at herself too, and suddenly the memories of the night before flooded back, leaving Eret to carry Heather back to the room and Hiccup practically half carrying her along too. But when Ollie was put to bed she basically dragged him into their room, stripping them before either could think, but it wasn't like he protested, in fact he was definitely up for it.
Today was the last day of their little vacation away from reality, and she wasn't gonna waste it by sleeping in, so she rolled out of bed and placed a dressing gown over her bare form, she needed coffee first before being able to get ready.
She would get one in the main living area that was she could grab an apple as well, but as she walked out into the living room she nearly jumped out of her skin when she found Heather sat on one of the sofas, just chilling in her beach dress.
" oh shit! Heather how did you get in here?" She flashed a key card up and the placed it in her bag, something was off Astrid could tell.
" got the guy at reception to give me one, I'm persuasive" her Heather spark wasn't quite there, it was weird.
" right-" Astrid walked over, sitting down next to her friend, " you look as rough as I feel" she thought it might be a hangover, Heather is usually better at recovering than she was but she did have more drinks than the young mother.
" hmmm" she replied.
" I think I've made it up to Hiccup though, in one way more than others" Her hint was obvious but still Heather showed nothing, she was expecting at least something, Heather usually says something snarky when it has something to do with hers and Hiccups sex life.
" are you okay?" Her friend looked as if she was gonna say something as if what was ever on her mind was just gonna spill out, but just like always Ollie had to make his presence aware.
" mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" Before Astrid could even reply Heather answered.
" I'll tell you later okay" Astrid didn't have time to even answer that, when Ollie ran into her arms, moaning at the fact he wanted to go to the pool.

" YOU DID WHAT?!"
" would you keep your voice down you said you wouldn't get mad"
They had made it down to the Hotel lobby, Hiccup, Astrid and Ollie, Heather obviously came down with them after avoiding Hiccups questions on why she was in their room when she caught in half naked that morning.
And then again in the lobby when there was obvious awkwardness between Heather and Eret, Astrid knew it she saw it in her friend and Hiccup too knew Eret too well.
Before heading to the pool they went to breakfast, Ollie threw a little tantrum cause he wanted to go swimming but soon apologised when he saw pancakes in the breakfast hall.
The lads went up first cause Ollie liked bonding with the 'lads' now it was time for the girls, both Astrid and Heather went up, it was little awkward at first but then Heather seemed to buck up some courage and finally tell Astrid what had been on her mind, especially when Astrid promised not to get mad no matter what it was.
" oh I'm not mad Heather, I'm fucking furious!" Astrid threw slices of melon on her plate as they stood in the fruit section.
" what were you thinking?" She passed Heather the silver spatula for her too to get some fruit, but she basically threw it at her angrily.
" it was an accident!" She hissed under her breath when she released that people were listening in.

" an accident? So what you just jump into bed with your best friend accidently?" Meanwhile Eret and Hiccup were discussing the same subject and of course Hiccup was reacting the same way his girlfriend was, completely pissed.
" it wasn't like that, it was different-" he kept his voice low since Ollie wasn't sat that far away.
" how was it different? What could she have possibly said that would make it 'different '-"

" Well I might have told him that I wanted him too" Astrid stopped in mid-motion when pouring the yogurt over her fruit.
" you what? " she carried on pouring but still shook her head with disappointment as Heather told her.
" I was drunk and I had loose lips, it just slipped out I guess" Heather took the large spoon next, pouring it a lot faster than Astrid did.
" Heather I can't believe you," the two stood still now, knowing the next stop would be back to the table, " you know how Eret feels about you, and you telling him this ... it's gonna mess with his feelings, his emotions" She knew that already, but the thing was deep down Heather meant all she said last night, but now she had to deal with the consequences.
" I know-" she didn't get to say anymore when Astrid butted in again.
" and what about Daniel? Heather you have a boyfriend. What were you thinking?"

" she said he was cheating on her" while the two guys were having their conversation, Hiccup would occasionally lean over and make sure Ollies food was all cut up for him to eat.
" and you believed that, gods Eret you really are in deep aren't you" he made sure the boy had a napkin on his lap, accepting the boys thanks when he did. " I mean you slept with her while she was drunk Eret, seriously you should know better" it was his turn too shake his head in disappointment.
" you slept with Astrid last night" Hiccup now regretting telling him that, but in his defence it was a completely different situation.
" that's different" he scooped up the scrambled egg that was on his plate to eat it.
" oh yeah how?"
He pushed a nerve in his scrawnier friend when he snapped back at his question, " it just is, okay"
" well she's different Hic, you know that more than anyone, she's my end game" he held his hands up in surrender while Hiccup wished he could believe his mate, he really did, but this was a situation that was more complicated than it looked, and now it put him in the middle too.
" hey look you can't say anything to Astrid" that snapped him out of his trans.
" what?"
" Hic she is like a sister to me, and I don't want her to think any low of me okay?" By this point Eret grabbed his massive breakfast burger and took a massive bite.
" I don't think she could think any low of you than she already does" watching as a large amount of ketchup drips from his chin.
" I'm being serious mate" his mouth still full of sausage, egg and bacon.
" so am I" he handed Eret a napkin to clean up the mess he was making.

" Heather you know I can't do that, Hiccups my boyfriend, we don't keep secrets" the two were still stood in the corner of the restaurant, knowing they were taking too long by the looks they were getting off random hotel guests.
" don't give me that bullshit, you keep secrets from him left, right and centre. All I'm asking is you don't tell him straight away, not until I figure something out-" She went to take a step to walk back to the table, but Astrid grabbed her forearm.
" what is there to figure out? Are you thinking of leaving Daniel for Eret?" Astrid now took a few steps with her.
" I don't know" a few more, the table was in sight.
" are you going to go back to Daniel?" They could now see the guys.
" I don't know"

" okay shush shush, they are coming, I see them" Eret hushed Hiccup who wasn't even speaking in the first place.
" this is going to be an interesting flight home tomorrow" knowing the rest of the day and tomorrow was probably gonna be filled with awkward silence.

Breakfast was, well was interesting you could say, the group of adults mainly focused on Ollie as he talked about how 'super amazing" this holiday had been, since he'd never been on holiday before this was a whole new world for him and well he did what any toddler would do and speak absolute nonsense. But now down at the pool the tension came creeping back when it was no longer Ollie wanting to talk as he was practicing bouncing off the walls to get into the pool.
" I'm going to the beach to sunbath," Heather was the first to break the silence making her excuse to get out of there, grabbing her bag the first chance she got and running off in the direction of the beach.
" and I'm going to take this little fella to the slidessss" Ollie had previously been all suited up for the pool by his mother, with his swim shoes and arm bands, his little turtle factor top with matching hat. So now he was all set, as Eret was swinging him over his shoulder as he laughed and giggled. Usually Astrid would have wanted at least Hiccup to go with them, but despite everything she did trust Eret with her child.
But then it left the young couple, who had a big secret, and couldn't say anything to the other.
So they sat in silence, for a while, drinking on their drinks and keeping a watchful eye as Ollie dragged Eret around the pool. Hiccup wanted to say something, the awkward silence was killing him, and he was shit at keeping secrets, unlike her, but he knew that she knew he was keeping something and that just made it worse.
" hey-" he didn't know why he said it, it kind of slipped out as if he couldn't deal with the silence anymore.
" hey?" She placed her drink down and turned to him, he sat up on his sun bed, cause her to do the same motion.
" hey - errr, hey, I -" his leg started to rap nervously on the ground. " I need to tell you something cause it's driving me crazy not saying anything and I don't care if it's not my secret to say but if I don't say it I'll explode" his mouth let loose and he couldn't help but just spill, it at least he was gonna before she beat him to it.
" Heather and Eret slept together "
He shook his head in astonishment, " no I - wait, you know" her eyebrows raised as if he was taking the piss or something.
" of course you know, Heather literally tells you everything" she giggled as he, as usual, went a little over dramatic, but that still didn't stop her from bed swapping, climbing on top of him, forgetting the hundreds of guests that may be around them.
" it's cute that you wanted to tell me though, makes me feel bad whenever I keep something from you" she kissed his nose as she basically sat on his lap.
" well that was different," he tucked that stray piece of hair behind her ear so he could see her face, she hated and loved that he did that " that was something about Ollie, anything about him is completely different" she kissed him again, only quickly though knowing people maybe watching, it's not that she cared, she's kissed him in public before, but hiccup can sometimes get a little aware of people around them.
Hiccup however wasn't focused on that, in fact her felt he had a lump in his throat, there was one thing he had kept from Astrid about Ollie, on his behalf he didn't want her stressing about it, but now he felt he should say something, while she was relaxed and in a better place.
" in fact there is one thing I haven't told you and - it's about Ollie" she sat up properly when he mentioned her son's name, sliding off his lap but still stayed sat on his bed. At least her being off his lap he was able to sit up properly too.
" what?"
" err well, now this has only happened a few times, but - and I didn't want you to stress - but " he started to rub the back of his neck and looking anywhere but her eyes, he looked 15 again.
" Hiccup you're rambling" he took his hand away from his neck, releasing it was a nervous habit of his.
" every once and an while, I'd take Ollie up to bed, read him a story and tuck him in," she nodded along listening to him. She knew he did this a few times, she just wasn't seeing the problem, but then her mind started over thinking, like what if he didn't want to do it anymore? What if she was pushing him out of his comfort zone with Ollie?
" well - and I want you to remember that it's not a big thing - sometimes when Ollie is a little sleepy he'd say something in his sleep -" he paused and the suspense was killing Astrid.
" and ... he called me his daddy a few times" he did say not to freak out, but of course she did the polar opposite.
" what?!" Her raised voice causing other guests to look over, which then made hiccup more aware of their presence.
" you said you wouldn't freak out" she held her tongue but her face was still red like sunburn.
" I'm not, this is me " she gritted her teeth, "calm"
" really?" He stupidly questioned her like the idiot he was, he never learns.
" no Hiccup, I'm not calm!" There it was, " how could you keep this from me, this is what I was afraid of, I never wanted to put that kinda pressure on you, I never expected-" for a moment she felt herself get all choked up, she didn't know where it was coming from, all she knew was she felt like an idiot.
" hey" Then Hiccups arms came wrapped around her, pulling her back on his lap again.
" I'm sorry - I just never wanted to put that kinda pressure on you, I never expected you to take on so much - I -" she paused for a second and looked over her shoulder, the screams and echoes of children and holiday makers filled her ears, but her eyes focused on Eret as he catches Ollie from sliding down the mini slide.
" told you dating me was gonna be difficult, me and my entire package " she looked back, and was greeted with a soft kiss on her lips.
" you know I love your entire package, more then you will ever know" she smiled in response, but she still didn't want him to feel pressured in any way.
" I know but-"
" no buts, I know what I signed up for when I asked you to move in, and even though I did enjoy the other day when it was just us" her cheeks went bright red at the thought of their little escape a few days ago when Heather let them off. " but I enjoy spending time with the both of you, and I feel honoured that he sees me as a farther figure, means he feels safe when he's in my care right"
She gave him a little smile, and hooked their fingers together, she knew she had to stop this, Hiccup had already amazed her 1000 times more than expected when it came to Ollie.
" so about last night-" she started, looking up with a small smirk on her face.
" you mean Heather and Eret ?"
" no - I mean us" she waited for him to clock on, knowing he'd probably pull a Hiccup stunt.
" oh" and there it was, his famous smirk. She loved and loathed that smirk, so she smacked his arm playfully over and over, causing them both to fall back on Hiccups sun bed once again.
" okay, okay I'm sorry, you win" he let her pin him down, loving the way she smiled when she won.
" so- what about last night ?" She knew he was smirking on the inside, when he asked her that.
" did I make up for being an absolute drunken mess" she placed a kiss on his collarbone.
" err yeah - I think you did, definitely " the two giggled, and Astrids arms came up to the side of his head. " however I wouldn't argue if you wanted to make it up to me again, like now" he hinted slightly, but it earned him a slap on the shoulder as she glared down at him.
" Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third," he scoffed as she used his full name, wishing he never told her that in the first place. " you wouldn't be suggesting that a shirk my parental duties are you? Just to pleasure your own needs aye? Leave Ollie in the hands of Eret of all people" She caught him smirking in the corner of his mouth, but she knew full well that even though he joked about it, he would never leave Ollie today, it was the last day of course and he wouldn't want to miss it.
" Well I guess your right, unfortunately" he thought he was in for a slap, he would have deserved it no doubt, especially when he teased her like he did. But this time she kissed him, slowly, softly, like it was deep and meaningful, but it couldn't last long, people were watching. So when they did finally pull apart, and gazing into each others eyes, with such love some could say.
But stuff like that is never gonna be a normal thing in their relationship, for as they lay there, looking at each other, something in the corner of their eyes caught their attention.
" Ahhh!" They both jumped, Astrid pushing herself off her boyfriends body and back on the sun bed.
" Ollie?" She looked down on the wet threw little boy as he stood next to the bed, feet bare, swim shorts dripping wet and his armbands making it impossible for him to place his arms down flat. " what are you doing?"
" I was wondering if - if Hiccup will come swimmin. I wanna go down slides with someone at the top and somebody at the bottom, will you come swimmin with me?" As he spoke with his soft words, the adults watched as water droplets dripped down his little round face and eyelashes, and his quivering lip when he released he was getting cold with being out of the water.
" Yep of course, " Hiccup jumped up not wanting to waste anytime, picking up Ollie as well, he could feel the boys shivers when he picked him up, knowing he best get back into the pool and sun so the boy doesn't freeze.
" Hey, would you boys mind if I joined you?" Astrid asked as she tied her long blonde hair into a bun.
" Rweally mommy?" The boys shivering stopped as a wave of excitement took over.
" Yeah, of course I've not been on the slides yet, I think id like to go down with my big boy" she walked around the bed as she spoke, coming up to her two boys and poking her little boy in the stomach playfully, and while the boy laughed, taking him off Hiccups side and placed him on hers.
" Yeah, I go rweally fast mommy, can we go rweally fast?" As the two adults walked to the poolside Ollie kept on talking. " can we mommy pease?"
" I don't see why not"

As mornings go this one could have been less stressful. They were supposed to be getting a coach from the hotel to the airport at 11:30 and then their flight was at 15:25, but so far they had slept in and rushing around the hotel room trying to sort things out at 9:10 in the morning was doing no good for the young couple's stress levels.
" Do you have the passports? Boarding passes? What about the tickets for the coach?" Hiccup shouted from the Bathroom as he brushed his teeth.
" Yes Hiccup I do," Astrid was currently in their bedroom, the two large suitcases opened up on the bed, and Ollie pram in the corner with all their hand luggage piled up on top.
She was packing away last minuet things like bathroom toiletries and stuff like her makeup, Hiccup's deodarant. " Hic I need to go check on Ollie, once you're done in there can you close up the suitcases to get ready to take down stairs to the lobby?" She shouted from the bedroom, before leaving she checked her bags once more just incase.
" Yep" she heard him shout back.
Once knowing all the papers were there in her bag she shouted back her thanks and then left to go through towards the main living room, but instead of seeing it all nice and presentable and ready to leave, like she had done the day before, but instead she saw the pillows sprawled out across the sofa and the floor as Ollie sat in the middle of the sofa opposite the tv watching one of his kiddy shows with his mouth open, staring at the big screen.
Still in his pjs and feet bare.
" Oliver Harold Hofferson!" Her son nearly jumped out of his skin and she grabbed the remote beside him and turned the tv off straight away, soon after slowly turned towards his mother to meet her deep glare.
" hiya mommy" his face was a picture, knowing he was in the wrong but had the biggest doughy eyes as possible just so he could squeeze as much as he couldn't out of his mother's mercy.
" oh no you don't young man!" But it didn't work, as his mothers stern voice took over the room.
" why are you not dressed young man? I told you to get dressed this morning when I came into your room" the boy knew he was in trouble, he might as well admit it.
" I know mommy, but - but my show on" her glare got deeper.
" I sworry mommy, I get dwressed now" he slipped down off the sofa onto the ground.
" yes you better had young man, if you ain't dressed in 20 minutes I'm taking billy off you for one hour." The boy practically sprinted down the hall not looking back. It was stressful enough having to deal with herself but now having to deal with a three year old, she didn't have time to even think.
As she looked down on the mess her son had left, she heard Hiccup walk out of the room with the two cases in hand. Looking back she saw his face, and it reflected her own.
" how about you go help him out and I'll clean up this" he gestured to the mess on the floor left by her son, she couldn't feel so relieved that he had offered, she just wrapped her arms around his neck and planted a kiss of his soft warm lips. It was the simple things that he does for her that really made her appreciate him as hers. Like the breakfast in the morning, making her a cup of coffee and Ollie his porridge oats. Like how he would take that extra detour to Ollie's nursery to pick him up when she couldn't, and the walk in the parks when Ollie would get too much in the house. The cooking and the cleaning that helped her out that little bit more, just all of it, it made him so special to her.
" That would be so great yeah, thank you" she kissed him again, which he of course gladly expected.
" My pleasure milady" she slipped out of his arms and ran in the direction of her sons room, leaving Hiccup with the two cases, the mess on the floor and the pram and hand luggage that was still parked in his room.

" But I don't wanna leave" Ollie thrashed in his mothers arms as they stood at the reception desk in the lobby, it was now around the 10 o'clock mark which means they only hand just over and hour for breakfast. But her, Hiccup and her thrashing son were still in the queue trying to sign out.
Neither had heard from Heather or Eret yet, however who knows what had happened after last night. It was a bit of a blur in both minds really, both Astrid and Hiccup had mainly focused on Ollie, making sure he had the best last night ever, they didn't really care what the other two did.
So it didn't really surprise Astrid as she stood there in line with her son thrashing about that those two hadn't snuck of of the cracks they had hidden themselves in.
" Mommy I said I don't wanna gooooo!" He was making a scene now, causing people from all over to look at her, the young mother who couldn't control her one child.
So she firmly placed him on the ground as it was now Hiccups turn to go to front desk, " now listen here young man, you keep this attitude up, so help me god I will confiscate Billy from you not just for a day but a week and you will not be having travel home pancakes, you will be having whatever I seem fit for you to have to eat but you will be having no treats and I will make you hold my hand for the entire trip, you will not be getting the luxury of sitting in your pram. Do you understand?" With a sniffle he nodded his head, she knew it was harsh words but they were necessary to teach him a lesson, he was upset of leaving cause he had enjoyed the holiday which of course was good but then she had to teach him all good things must come to an end and his behaviour was unacceptable.
So she held his hand and waited for Hiccup to be finished at front desk, when he was he came back with confusion written on his face, " what's wrong?" She asked only assuming of the worse.
" Oh nothing bad, just I asked about Eret and Heather and the receptionist said both had handed their keys in this morning at like 8:40, I just found it weird that we haven't heard from them is all" he brushed it off, letting the lobby men take their cases in a side cupboard to be collected later, while the rest of them went to the breakfast Buffett for their last meal on their holiday.
Walking into the restaurant the couple could already see where their friends were sat, on a table, both sat on opposite ends and Heather was reading her book with sipping on her coffee while Eret was playing on his phone with a large glass of orange juice.
" Well this doesn't look awkward" Hiccup stated as they stared at the two.
" It's their own fault" Astrid answered, walking straight to the table while still holding onto Ollie's little hand.

" What's chess?" Ollie asked as three of the adults in front of him was in tears of laughter at Hiccup who was sat beside him. It had all started with a simple question by Ollie, he had wanted to know when Hiccup started to love his mommy, then the whole conversation went from Hiccup discussing how he fell in love with his mother innocently when they were young and then it went from that to Heather and Eret both asking what Hiccup was alike throughout high school.
It was no secret that him and Astrid weren't friends back then, but it was in the past and forgotten about. But obviously heather and ere didn't know Hiccup back then really and were wondering, however from what Astrid had said he was a small geek in checked shirts, grandad jumpers, geeky glasses and the head of the chess team, as well as being a fantastic artists and a constant book worm.
But that small innocent statement caused his now two best friends and current girlfriend to laugh out in tears, while little Oliver was confused of the term chess.
" It's a board game and you have to be very smart to do it" he said while the other three roared with laughter.
" Oh Hiccup," Eret wiped away the tears in his eyes, " I used to pick on kids like you, chase them down the hall, good times. So you really used to wear glasses and grandad jumpers?" He asked taking a sip from his juice.
" Now hang on a minute_" Hiccup went to defend himself, cause he didn't see it that way, they were sweaters and his mother was the one who bought them for him.
" Yes he did," Astrid stepped in, traitor. " however he only wore them when he was in his young teens, when purity hit and his became more attractive the jumpers just disappeared but the glasses did stay" there was something by the way she looked a him, eyes wandering down and biting her lip, but before he could figure it out, heather of all people did.
" Looks like Astrid had the hots for Hiccup with glasses" the statement caused him to choke on his own omelette, he knew their friendship was closer than normal, but he had no idea she saw him like that. She was Astrid after all, she made supermodels jealous.
" What? No - Really?" His eyes wandered over ti Astrid who still held that look, she looked at him as if she was drinking in every ounce of him, it turned him on and scared both at the same time.
" Well there are times I miss those cute glasses you used to wear, they were one of the reasons I fell for you" she shrugged her shoulders as it was old news, but to Hiccup this was something new, he got rid of those glasses cause he thought it might make him look less 'dorky' he had no idea it was completely the opposite.
" But I-i got rid of them for you, - you -you were As-astrid, thee Astrid Hofferson, every one wanted to impress you, I-i wanted to impress you" he wasn't lying, his crush had never faded, even after they became friends, he always wanted her, but knew he could never have her. Yet she was the one hiding feelings for him.
" I know you wanted to impress me, your cheeks went bright red for the first 2 months of us being friends again when ever I spoke to you. I thought it was very cute." She leaned over and kissed his cheek, however he was still in shock by t, after all she was his childhood crush.
Ollie watched as his mother kissed Hiccup on the cheek as they all spoke, giggling at the fact that his mother called Hiccup cute.
" wish you told me that years ago," he kissed her back before she could pull away, knowing that Ollie was watching them completely in awe.
" well now you know - right," she looked over at the clock, it was coming up to 11:00 and their coach would be turning up in the next half hour, looking down at the plates In front, most of them were finished after their long chats about Hiccups childhood expect from Ollie who seemed to take three times longer and anyone else, however with Eret homing in on his plate it wouldn't take long to clear it.
" we should get going so we aren't running late for the coach" she nodded up to the large clock in the corner to Hiccup and Heather, while Eret took the opportunity to scoop the rest off Ollies plate and shovel it in his mouth before the boy could notice.
" Come on Ollie get your things," Astrid got out of her chair and crouched down beside Ollie helping him with his little hoodie and backpack. She picked him up and swinged him onto her side, but before they moved Ollie looked down onto his plate and where the last of his pancakes were was now gone.
" Where my pancake gone?" He caught the attention of his mother who looked down at his plate as he did.
" didn't you eat it?" She questioned.
" no" not wanting to waste anytime she took billy in her free hand and held him in front of Ollies face.
" maybe it was billy," the boys face lit up, taking hold of billy and hugging him close, while Eret kept to the background keeping his head low.

They waited in the main lobby, Eret was at the bar getting drinks while Heather was on the phone to her farther and Hiccup was on the phone with some business which left Astrid looking after a moaning little 3 year old.
" but mummy I don't wanna go" Ollie kicked his legs up and down as they hanged off the side of the chair.
" Ollie we have been through this, we have to go home, this was just a holiday, we have to get back to reality" she flicked through all the passports and visas, she was trying to teach him without confusing him, but really she was saying it to herself, she needed to prepare herself for reality when she got home.
" but I don't wanna go! I like it here !" His little voice got louder, as his strop became more obvious to the people in reception. Astrid calmly placed her things in her bag and turned to her son with no emotion.
" I don't care for that tone Ollie and if you keep it up you will have billy confiscated for not a day but a week, you understand " the commotion between the two caused Hiccup to come over, scooping Ollie off the chair so he could sit down with Ollie in his lap.
" what's going on here?" He asked as Ollie settled on his lap, Astrid didn't really answer, she still held a firm look at Ollie as he sulked into hiccups chest.
" I don't wanna go" he muffled into the hiccups shirt, while Astrid held her gaze on her son.
" oh I see, but what about home? And nursery? Your friends?" Astrid watched as hiccup tried to reason with the boy, which she hadn't even attempted to do.
" but I 'ike it here, and I made friends here too" the three year had calm down from the sulky tone he took with his mother before. She could say she was jealous, she was his mother and hiccup was the person Ollie looked up to, but hiccup always seemed to get through to Ollie more than she could.
" well what about my parents, I know for a fact they are missing you" she watched as ollies face changed, " and what about toothless, you are his best friend, he's probably missing sharing a bed with you" his little mouth turned up into a smile, gleaming at the mention of his furry friend.
" I do miss toothess so very much" the boy was twisted round so he was facing him, and even though she hated to admit it, that Hiccup could get through to Ollie more than she could, she did secretly enjoy watching to two as they talked with a small smile of her face.
He bounced him slightly, laughing as he made little giggle noises when he bounced " yeah, and I promise you this, this won't be our last holiday" the gleam in his little blue eyes grew wide, and hiccup loved it.
" you pinky pwromise, you have to pinky otherwise it not wreal " he held out his like stubby finger towards hiccup, reminding the older man of the promise they had made to each other that you never ever break a pinky promise.
" I pinky promise" he took the finger gently, careful not to shake to hard. From then on Ollie had a smile on his face, however he knew he was still in bad books with his mother how she hid the smile from him and held a stern look.
" I sowrry mommy" he slipped from Hiccups lap and over to her, holding out his arms as he asked for a hug, and she couldn't stay mad when he looked at her with big doughy eyes.
So she picked him up, finally releasing how big he actually was, and placed him on her lap just like hiccup did, giving him a huge hug.
" I accept your apology, but I don't care for that tone you had before young man, that is not how I raised you" Hiccup had to admit she scared him sometimes when she used her mother voice.
" yes mommy" kissing his forehead and giving him a squeeze.
" alright let's get the show on the road there's the coach." Eret came bouncing over, suitcase in one hand and sunglasses in the other, he was wearing those Hawaiian shirts he loved, and a handsome smirk on his face, heather of course avoided eye contact at all cost.
" Eret you clean up nice" Astrid complimented him as he walked up towards her.
" Eretson, Eret Eretson" he helped her up as she giggled at his James Bond impression, Ollie too as hiccup lifted him into his shoulders, " glad you find me hilarious you two" he motioned to the two hoffersons.
" uncle ewet, is so funny mommy isn't he" his giggle was contagious as Hiccup spun him around on his shoulders, his little fingers gripping on for life as he was spun around not to fall.
" yes he's hilarious," Heather joined after finishing her phone call, " but can we get on the coach please, I'm about to combust with boredom " her statement wasn't taken as a joke, as the other four hurried along to her command.

He shifted in his seat again, sat between his mother and hiccup. On the way home there had been a delay with flights meaning they had to get another plane, they had managed to get into first class which was a three and a three. Which obviously meant heather and Eret squished together on the other side of the plane with a little old lady who loved to talk about her knitting.
Astrid sat on the window side, feeling her sons forehead as he burned up through the night. Due to delay they were now on a night flight, and after changing flights in Atlanta they were finally heading home. But it wasn't an easy flight, in between the change Ollie was complaining about a sore tummy and not feeling very good, and Astrid being stressed as it is with the whole flight change just didn't pay any attention to him and was now regretting it.
As she was thinking about it and feeling the temperature on his head rise, she knew she should have listened. He was currently asleep moaning as he tried to get comfy in the airplane seat. Hiccup had gotten the medicine bag down from the top compartment but because of airport rules they weren't aloud liquids, so she had to make do with calpol melts and tablets.
Hiccup was great, he had gotten the stewardess to get some bottled water for him to drink and a sick bag for just in case, but she knew he was nervous, she could tell by the look on his face. Usually when Ollie was I'll he would have to do the bare minimum because she did everything, but now he had no where to do as they were stuck in their seats for the next few hours until they landed in Berk international.
" I could ask for a towel soaked in water to cool him down while he sleeps?" She didn't even have to feel his head to know he was getting hotter, his face had gone all clammy and he was breathing more heavily now. She gave him a small nod of gratitude and watched as he got out of his seat to find a steward or stewardess. Knowing how late it was she didn't even have the energy to speak anymore, she looked over across from them where Eret and Heather were sleeping soundly, he had the isle seat while she sat in the middle allowing the older lady to have the window. Eret had helped out at first, taking all the rubbish as she was dealing with a crying child, but after midnight had past he too had fallen asleep. Which only really left her and hiccup, with the help of the stewards from time to time. She hadn't expected hiccup to stay awake with her, he rather insisted, whether it was cause he wanted to or the fact that sleeping next to a sick child would be rather hard, she did not know. But she didn't care, she was just happy he was helping her out.
" here you go" he handed her a damp cloth, nice and cool, she excepted with a smile as he took his seat again, and placed the band across her sons head.
She got a few hours sleep later on, the two took turns when Ollie's temperature went down on who sleeps, so as she woke up from her sleep, looking out her window and seeing the early morning dusk, she felt better at the fact that they would be home soon.
Her back aches as she moved slightly, feeling it crack under her skin as she turned to the other side, but instead of seeing her son in the next seat, she saw an empty one.
Looking up, hiccup was sat in the far chair, fast asleep with Ollie lay flat on his chest snoozing slightly. Her son fit perfectly with his little head just under hiccup chin, she honestly didn't think she could love him anymore, but seeing him like this with Ollie, she was wrong.
Taking the opportunity of the free seat between them she scooted over to sit next to them, not wanting to wake them straight away, so she just ran a few fingers threw a few strands of his auburn hair, watching him wrinkle his nose a little like he did when they were kids. Of course he began to stir making little groans like he'd do in bed, opening his eyes as he did. He looked at he first, reflecting the smile she showed him, and then he drifted his gaze down to the boy who slept on his chest.
" I didn't fall asleep" his statement made her giggle, the rule was while one slept, the other stays awake it's Ollie In case he needed anything. Obviously that wasn't the case on his shift.
" what happened" when she left them with Ollie asleep on his chair and Hiccup reading his book.
" well he woke up, not feeling good and he couldn't seem to go back to sleep, he wanted a back rub, " he motioned to the boy on on his chest suggesting what happened next, " of course I couldn't say no to his little face" she smiled cuddling closer and stroking her son's head.
" but I didn't fall asleep as such, just rested my eyes" he tried to blag his way out of it but he knew she wouldn't be having any of it.
" sure you did mister" she placed a kiss on the side of his head as her son all of a sudden began to wake. Humming and moaning and groaning in his sleep as he awoke. She saw his nose crinkle just before he yawned, Hiccup used to do that when they were kids, he still does it now some mornings, crinkling his nose before yawning and the wrapping his arms around her.
" mmhh mommy?" The sleepy boy opened his eyes as he woke up, but even though she hoped that his sleep would take away his fever and upset stomach, he woke looking paler than she left him. He sat up slowly, sliding down Hiccup chest to sit on his lap as Hiccup helped him sit up straight.
" mommy?" He rubbed his eyes slowly, she pale faced worried her as he was still burning up.
" yes sweetheart" she dabbed his head with the blanket that was previously on her son's chair. " I been sick mommy"
But he hadn't, the two adults looked at each other as the boy still rubbed his eyes, but then she realised he hadn't been sick but was going to be. She had to think on her feet she had no bucket no time to get a sick bag, his face was turning green and all she had was a blanket. She wasted no time as her son threw up she caught it in the blanket.
The commotion cause Eret and Heather to wake up from their naps, and the stewardesses running over. As the adults watched over until the child vomited, Astrid caught everything in the blanket without it getting anywhere else.
" oh well done miss Hofferson, that could have been a tricky one" the young red haired stewardess stated as she looked down at the three, she wore bright red lipstick as well that made her stand out from the rest of her friends, the other stewardess with Carmel brown hair took the now wrapped up blanket from Astrid promising to take care of it for her.
With that said and done it was only the red head that was left check everything was sorted now. " mommy I better now" in some cases she wouldn't believe it, but all of a sudden the colour in his face returned, he seemed to brighten up physically as well as in spirit.
" you sure, you're not feeling sick anymore?" The boy shook his head, but the red haired stewardess named rose still handed Astrid a few sick bags 'just incase' but the boy had insisted that he was feeling better.
" I now hungry mommy" Astrid wasn't sure if food was the best option, but he had barely eaten since yesterday morning, and if he was to become ill again she had sick bags luckily. So she looked to rose who still stood near, who was already prepared to offer the little lad with sandwich options as she held two sandwiches in her hands.
" would you like chicken sandwich or cheese sandwich little sir?" Ollie giggled at the nice lady calling his sir before answering politely. " I have chicken pease?" Rose handed the chicken package to him and he expected politely as well saying thank you, before handing it to his mother to open.
Rose went to leave the family be and return the other package back to storage but Eret who was on the other side of the isle touched the ladies arm gently gaining her attention.
" yes sir?"
" no need to take that away lovely, I could murder a cheese sandwich" his big grin was no doubt the icing on the cake as rose handed Eret his cheese sandwich before gracefully walking off.
He took one bite out of his food before looking over to Heather displeased look, " what?" Mouth full of bread, butter and cheddar.
" pig" she went back to reading with saying no more.
Meanwhile Astrid and Hiccup paid attention to Ollie who was in Eret's words 'murdering' his chicken sandwich. " mommy?" He took another big bite after speaking.
" yes" meanwhile she was cleaning up the packaging mess he made.
" I don't like night flight" for once she had to agree, bringing her son on his very first holiday was such a pleasure, she couldn't thank Hiccup enough for giving them this opportunity, but this situation right here was the reason holidays were a nightmare for people with kids.
" me neither, buddy"
