Hiiiiiiiiiiii. So, I'm currently in Samothraki. And it's genuinely super nice here. I've visited a lot of the islands, but this is the first time I've been to Samothraki. Anyway, on to the story...

Leo's POV

When Leo walked in, he didn't really know what to expect. What he didn't expect at all was for there to be a dwarf-elf-man like guy sitting -no, standing there with Chiron.

I did not know Professor Flitwick is that small..

"So," He said, "You found us".

"Right, of course", Annabeth said, "So you said you wanted to teach a few spells?"

Chiron nodded, "Yes, Professor Flitwick is an amazing spell caster. He will teach you four spells today".

"Really, just four?" Calypso said.

Of course it would be easy for her, she's a sorceress. Or at least ex-sorceress.

"Don't be fooled, these spells are a bit different from the ones you've learned, Mrs. Nightshade", Professor Flitwick said with a wink when he said her supposed last name.

She nodded.

"You'll be learning the Shield Charm, the Knock-back Jinx, the Unlocking Spell, and the Bat-Bogey Hex. The last one is more for entertainment. Two are for self-defense and one is just a spell to make some things easier," Chiron said.

"Sounds fun", Nico said sarcastically.

"It very much is, Nicolo" Chiron said back.

Will snickered at Nico's real name, "Nicolo.. I feel obligated to call on you that".

Nico put his face in his hands, "Please don't".

"Anyway, let's not get off subject", Chiron said, "Since this is four spells and there are twelve of you, we'll assign you into groups of three. Each group will be assigned a spell, then we will perfect it, then we will switch each groups' spells. Okay, so the group assigned to the Shield Charm is Hazel, Calypso, and Will. The Knock-back Jinx group is Percy, Piper, and Thalia. The Unlocking Spell is Jason, Annabeth, and Nico. And the Bat-Bogey Hex group is Reyna, Frank, and Leo".

Of course I get assigned to the two people who used to hate me the most.

While Chiron was talking about important stuff and whatnot, Leo was thinking about how most of the twelve were offensive demigods.

The only defensive demigods, or at least their powers, would be Hazel, Calypso, Will, Piper, Annabeth, and Reyna. But Hazel has gotten better at using her abilities and she's good at her spatha. And Piper can use her Charmspeak offensively, plus she's gotten pretty good at using her knife. And Annabeth and Reyna... They shouldn't even be counted. Then again Will can use his whistle-thingy -

All of a sudden, somebody punched his arm.

"OWWW", he screeched. It didn't really hurt, but every time something hits him, his brain goes into a mode that says that was really painful. Yelp.

"Wake up, Leo", Reyna said, "We're supposed to learn the Bat-Bogey Hex".

"I thought that Hecate already haywired us to know these spells", Leo said.

Reyna sighed, "Didn't you hear what Chiron said?"

"No.. " Leo admitted.

"He said, even though we now have magic and our minds know a few spells, we can't fully perform them until we learn. Let's say that you wanted to do a simple spell like the Wand-Lighting Charm. Say Lumos, that's the incantation".

Leo held out his dark-red wand, "Lumos".

The wand did lit up, just not the way that it was supposed to.

"This isn't right... " Leo muttered as he pulled his wand closer to his face. The tip of the wand was in a small flame.

"Nope", Reyna said, popping the p.

"Hey, Reyna", Frank said from the side, "The only way we can see if this works is if we practice it on each other or an animal - "

"You aren't touching me or my cat", Reyna said quickly, "Plus it's illegal to perform the hex on an animal".

Then who would he try it on... Oh. OH.

"Frank.. " Leo said warningly, "Don't - "

"Volatilis Lutum!" he yelled.

All of a sudden, Leo felt his his nose become a bit itchy, but that was it.

"Aw," said Frank, "It didn't work".

"Just practice some more, you'll get it eventually. It should be easier for us Romans anyway", Reyna said.

"Why?" asked Leo.

"Because almost all of the spells have a Latin base", Reyna answered, "So we have an advantage there, but anywhere else, we are just the same at".

After about an hour or so, everyone had mastered their assigned spell. Even Leo, who unfortunately decided it would fun to use the Bat-Bogey Hex on Percy, one of three who learned the Knock-back Jinx.

"Hey, Percy", Leo called, walking over to Percy.

"Yeah?" Percy replied.

"Volatilis Lutum!" Leo incantatered.

But much to Leo's dismay, Percy dodged and yelled, "Flipendo!"

Leo felt a strong force push against his chest and he flew. But like, he really flew.

"AH!" Leo screamed.

He ended up hitting the wall and fell to the floor with a thud.

"Owwww.. " He wallowed. Except this time, he meant it.

Percy smiled, "Hey! Thanks Leo".

Leo gave off a face that said seriously. He heard his girlfriend laughing as well.

"Thanks, sunshine", said Leo sarcastically.

"Your welcome".

"Alright, everyone", Chiron said, "We are switching spells. Hazel's group to Knock-back Jinx, Percy's group to the Unlocking Spell, Jason's group to the Bat-Bogey Hex, and Reyna's group to the Shield Charm".

They continued doing what they did before. They switched two more times, Leo learned the Knock-back Jinx and then the Unlocking Spell. After they were done, they thanked Professor Flitwick and, Chiron, then they left into the tunnel.

"Well, that was fun", said Will.

"Yeah totally", said Nico, making jazz hands.

"I kinda wonder how Voldemort looks like", said Percy as they exited the Fire Passage.

"Yeah, same", said Jason.

"Imagine how his followers are", said Leo so quiet that only they could hear. Then he put his hand together and swung them over his shoulder.

"Oh. my. gods", he said, making everyone snicker, "We love Voldemort! Please sign our wands!! Better yet, make marks on our arms to show our worship to you!!"

They all started laughing.

"Maybe we'll see him soon," Percy said.

And defeat him.

"Yup", they all said in unison.

"Besides", said Jason, "We already have our marks".

It was true. After the Roman and Greek demigods finally came to peace, some of the Greek demigods liked the idea of the Roman tattoos and got their own. Eleven of the twelve had them. Leo got his after him and Calypso came back from exploring a bit. Calypso was the only one who didn't get it though, but Leo didn't force her. She had looked uncomfortable when they first discussed them. Not anymore though.

They continued laughing and joking around until they reached the dorms.

But little did they know, there was two people who had listened to their conversations.
