The kids were enjoying a somewhat fun Friday at school. Being the last day before Christmas break, they all enjoyed a holiday party and were literally counting down the hours before they could go home and officially start their Christmas break. Around 10am, the same very large gentleman that had stopped Millie a few weeks earlier walked into the office at St. Mary's requesting a tour. The Assistant Principal agreed and walked him through the halls. He told her that he had a kindergartener and was particularly interested in seeing the classrooms. They walked the halls, admiring the artwork of the kids that was hanging in the hallways. The man, known as Dino, took particular interest in a piece of artwork signed by Millie Reagan.

When they finished their tour, Dino said his goodbyes and headed out the front door. Mrs. Bottinger had no idea that he would loop around the building and come right back inside using a side door that had been propped open. He carefully made his way right back to the kindergarten classroom.

"Hey, Kid. Go inside and get Millie for me," Dino said as he saw Noah walking into the classroom.

"Sister Carolyn, there's somebody outside for Millie," Noah announced as he walked into the room.

Sister Carolyn walked out into the hallway to see what was going on as Millie got super excited, thinking Linda had come to spring her early for Jim's birthday.

"Yeah, I need Millie," Dino said.

"I'm sorry, Dear. I don't know you. Who are you?"
"Don't matter!" Dino said as he clocked her in the side of the head with his pistol. Sister Carolyn fell to the floor as Dino grabbed Millie who had wandered over with backpack in hand ready to greet Linda, and made his way out the back door.

"Wait! Wait! NO!" Millie screamed as loud as she could before he put his large hand over her mouth. She kicked as hard as she could as he opened the trunk and dumped her inside and took off.

While Sister Carolyn was trying to get up, Noah ran next door and got Sister Franklin who immediately called the office. The entire school was placed on lockdown as they called the police department to report a kidnapping.

Danny and Baez were both sitting at Danny's desk working on a case when he got the call. Baez knew it was bad when his face went white. "I'm on my way," was all he said as he bolted out the door with Baez on his heels. "Call Jamie…" Danny stammered as he tossed his phone to Baez and sped out of the parking lot.

"Hey Danny, what's up?" Jamie asked.

"Jamie it's Maria. Where are you?"

"Eddie and I just sat down for our meal. Why are you on Danny's phone?"
"We need you to meet us at St. Mary's."
"What's wrong?"

"Millie's been taken. We're on our way now."

Jamie felt like he'd just been punched in the stomach. His face went as white as Danny's. "We'll meet you there." He disconnected the call and threw $20 on the table. "We gotta go!"

"What's wrong?"

"We gotta go to St. Mary's. Somebody took Millie."
"Millie?! Took her where?"
"I don't know. I don't know but we gotta go."

"Hey, can you call the school back and make sure they have eyes on my boys?" Danny asked as he sped through traffic and Maria held on for dear life.

"Yeah." Baez called Principal Wilder. "Hi, this is Detective Baez calling for Danny Reagan. We're on our way right now. Danny wanted you to make sure that his boys were safe."
"Yes. We have moved them both to the Counselor's Office. They are together."

Meanwhile, Jack and Sean were both freaking out. "What's going on?"
"Your dad's on his way," Counselor Collins answered. "He will explain everything when he gets here."

"Why isn't Millie here?" Jack asked. "You need to get our little sister. She's in kindergarten."

"BOYS!" Danny exclaimed as he burst through the door and wrapped them both in his arms.

"Dad, what's going on? Why are we in lockdown? Why didn't they go get Millie? We told them she's here."

"Somebody took her," Danny quickly explained.

"What?!"

"Look, when your Uncle Jamie gets here, Baez and Janko are going to take you guys to Pop's while I find your sister."
"But Dad!" they both began, terrified.

"I will find Millie."

When Eddie and Jamie arrived, Danny sent the boys home with Baez and Eddie while he and Jamie reviewed the tapes and started the search. Linda had been picked up from work by Henry and was to meet all of them at Frank's house.

Meanwhile, Dino had arrived at one of the BSB houses in New Jersey. He pulled into the garage and popped the trunk to find an absolutely terrified Millie.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!"

"Come on," Dino said, helping her out of the trunk.

"No. I can't go with you. I'll get in trouble. Mr. Uncle Danny's going to be mad. You're going to get me in trouble. He told me not to go off with nobody but him!"

"You can't stay locked in the trunk. Get out!" He grabbed Millie by the arm and picked her up and drug her inside.

"I want to go home!" Millie wailed.

"Hey!" he snapped. "Be quiet or I'm locking you in the closet!"

"Chill dude. She's a kid and she's scared. Come here, small fry," an equally scary-looking man said as they were joined by six other members of the BSB.

Millie just froze and sobbed. "I want to go home! I want Mr. Uncle Danny!"

"I ain't listening to that," a thin, very tattooed guy called Tony said as he walked over, opened the medicine cabinet, grabbed a Benedryl and shoved it in Millie's mouth. "Swallow!" he growled, before shoving her in the hallway closet.

Back at 1PP, Sid, Baker, Gormley, and Jim had all joined Frank in his office.

"What do you want, Boss? Aviation unit? I can get them activated forthwith," Gormley said as he jumped up.

"We can't do that, Sid."

Clearly, Frank was most devastated, but after Frank, the second-most devastated was Jim. He stood quietly in the corner, thinking of the tiny girl that had become such a bright light in a sometimes scary job.

"Sir, I contacted Det. Jiminez. If it's ok with you, I'd like to request he be added to your detail so that I can join Det. Reagan in the search."

"Sure thing, Jim," Frank nodded softly. With that, Jim hit the door and headed to St. Mary's to find Danny.

"We've got to find her in the first 24 hours," Danny said, almost mechanically. Sadly, twenty-four hours turned into forty-eight, and then seventy-two. Linda, Jack and Sean had taken up residence with Henry as Danny, Frank, Jamie and their respective partners continued the search. The trail was cold. They had nothing to go on other than Danny's gut feeling that it was somebody from the BSB. He and Frank had many conversations about whether or not to go public with an identification, for fear of the BSB harming Millie. After seventy-two hours, though, they knew they had to do something. Thankfully, they didn't have to wait.

"Frank, we've got something!" Garrett yelled as he burst through the Commissioner's door. "It's an email that just came through." Garrett played the video for group.

"Commissioner Reagan, we've had a good time getting to know your granddaughter. When she's not hyperventilating, she is full of interesting information. For instance, we learned that in the Reagan family if you do something wrong, you have to be punished. Well, Commissioner Reagan, you have been bad, so we had to take away something to punish you. She's ok for now, but if you don't give us what we want, your Christmas list is going to get shorter by about forty inches, if you get my drift. RELEASE Sticky-Fingerz Jones and M-Dogg Smith from Singh Singh ASAP. Do that, and we'll dump the kid at a non-disclosed location." With that, the video went black.

"Want me to call the prison?"
"We don't negotiate with terrorists."

"I don't care. This is Millie. We'll negotiate with that crazy little man from North Korea if we have to."

"No, Sid. We've got to get smarter than them. Let's get Danny and Jamie up here."

Before long, Jamie, Eddie, and Baez were sitting in Frank's office with Jim, Garrett, Gormely and Baker. Baker brought them all in as Frank stepped outside for a few words with his eldest before joining. "How are you holding up?"

"How do you think, Dad?"

"How are Linda and the boys?"

"The boys are devastated, Linda's done nothing but cry for three days, and I got two freakin' cats that won't eat and won't sleep. They're pacing the floors constantly."

"Have you slept in the past seventy-two hours?"

"I don't have time for that. I've got to find my kid."

"If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be any good."

"Dad! Can we get to the new evidence?! I don't have time for a lecture."

Frank looked at him, knowing that he was on the brink of a breakdown, but fully understanding the situation. He led Danny into the office where everyone else was perched around the laptop. After viewing the tape, the collective breathed a small sigh of relief, hanging on the hope that what he said about Millie's state was actually true, but not truly believing it because they only had Dino's word, no real proof of life.

"Let's put our heads together," Frank directed as he steeled himself in his chair behind his desk. "I've got a granddaughter to bring home." He kept his eyes locked on Danny to see how he was holding up after the video.

"Sticky and Dogg are cop killers. They're never getting out of prison except in a body bag, so a release and trade is not an option," Sid pointed out the particulars.

"We could bring in their foot soldiers in hopes that we flush out whoever's holding Millie," Eddie suggested.

"But they won't bring Mil with them on the streets, so we'll have them and we still won't have her," Jamie countered.

"But it's a good thought," Baez said as she stood up and started to pace. "We get enough of their foot soldiers off the street, they are more likely to work with us."

"But we're walking a fine line," Jim reminded them. "We want Millie back unharmed. We can't piss them off too bad."

"So what do we do?" Danny asked, exhausted.

Frank sat back and clasped his hands together. "We make a deal with the devil."

"What are you thinking?" Baker asked.

"We go straight to the top… to their rival's top."
"The Rebel Kings?"

"Yes. Gus Guffalino. He frequents Ceasar Romano's on 23rd and 5th. Might be nice if somebody went down and had a little chat with him about where we might be able to spook out some of the BSB boys."

"I'm going," Danny said as he leapt to his tired feet.

"Hold up," Sid said, looking at his old protégé. "You look like Hell. Let's send in someone fresh."

"He's knows I've got ties to the PC," Jim offered. "Let me take a crack at it."

"You good if I back you up?" Jamie asked.

Baker shook her head as she stood with her arms crossed. "Might look desperate. I think Reagans need to steer clear. Let me go." Danny cut his eyes at Baker but quickly met Frank's gaze, understanding fully what Frank was thinking. Unwillingly to put up a fight, he and Jamie both nodded in agreement.

"Oh, Jim," Danny said, reaching into his pocket, "Linda gave this to me to give to you." He pulled a piece of folded green construction paper out of his pocket. "She and Mil were supposed to go shopping for your birthday cupcakes last Friday. Apparently, she'd been working on this for a few days." Jim turned the card over in his hand. There was a rainbow sprinkle cupcake that had been colored and pasted to the front. When he opened it, there was a picture of he and Millie drawn on the left-hand side and a simple, To Mr. Jim, Happy Day! Love, Millie, scribbled on the right hand side. "She couldn't figure out how to spell birthday and she's too stubborn to ask for help… but she said it was fine. You knew it was your birthday." Jim bit the inside of his mouth as hard as he could to try and keep the tears from forming in his eyes. Eddie didn't even try.

"You know... um… Danny, why don't you hang on to that for me? I'm sure Miss Millie will want to give it to me herself when she gets home." As much as Jim wanted the memento, he knew that if this story didn't have a happy ending, Danny and Linda were going to want that memory.

"Let's go, Jim," Baker, ever the stoic one, whispered as they both made their way out of the Commissioner's office. They got on the private elevator and headed to the parking garage. "You ok?" she asked. Jim didn't answer. He looked straight ahead, still attempting to gain his composure without breaking. "Because it's ok if you aren't."

"We've got to find that kid, or so help me Abigail, I'll kill every member of the BSB."

With Jim and Abby on their way, Millie was fairing a little better on the third day. She'd finally learned to cry quietly, so they weren't force feeding her sedatives quite as often. However, they didn't hesitate to pop one in her mouth anytime they were ready to knock her out and shove her back in the closet. After three days of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches though, Millie was getting even more distraught. Poor kid was hungry, lonely, and terrified… and not one single person in Dino's house offered any comfort. Christmas was only a few days away and while Millie wasn't sure what day it was, the boys were both aware. Henry tried to lift their spirits, but they knew there was no Christmas without Millie.
