"I dont exactly know where the Tooth Palace is at." Elizabeth admitted as she led them to a dark corner. "Do you know the general area?"

Jack replied with. "It's in Southeast Asia, I know that. Specifics, I'm not quite sure. But I'm sure you'll be fine! I'm sure you can see more than I do."

Well, he was right on that. While everything was dark for him, she could see everything around her within the shadow's distance, and it was like many doorways for her to see.

"Alright...if you say so. I'll probably find it easy."

"You're not just saying all that to stall, right?"

"No...no..." She smiled, then hoisted him up. Jack smiled back at her, glancing at her lips before looking away awkwardly. Elizabeth chose to ignore it.

When they were into the shadows, she requested it to take them to the Tooth Palace. Of course he'd guess that she'd be stalling. I mean, how could she not? She felt awkward and out of place going there, especially because of who she was.

Remember, you're not your Dad.

Right. Yeah. Jack was right.

When they stepped out of the shadows, they were greeted by bright colors and light so intense Elizabeth almost dropped Jack. He quickly got down, and realized the light was hurting her because she was shutting them so tightly.

"Oh, man, I should've figured," he muttered, cupping his hands to shield the sides of her face. She's a creature of the night, and the Tooth Palace was probably one of the brightest and most colorful places Jack could think of. "Are you okay? Are your eyes fine?"

Her face was scrunched, and she tried to blink her eyes open, barely, "Yeah. I didn't realize it'd be so...bright." She sighed a little, her fangs almost glittering due to their whiteness, "You'd think she did it to keep people like me from coming in." She joked, but Jack frowned.

"'Beth..."

"Okay, okay, I'm fine. I didn't do anything to them." Her eyes opened more. She smiled softly at him, her hands having been over his to keep them placed on her cheeks. "It's getting better now. Thank you."

"You're welcome," he smiled back with the same warmth. "You're so cute. Like a little bat, or something." Jack paused, face turning purple like Elizabeth's grey skin was turning pink.

"I don't think I've ever been called a bat before." She giggled, "but I'll take it as a complement only because I'm a cute one." She leaned up to quickly place a kiss on his nose. "You're a cute icicle."

He laughed. "I don't think I've been called that either. Fair game."

By now her eyes had fully opened, but her pupils were smaller, and it made her look slightly feral. But her goofy grin couldn't make her expression any type of threatening. If anything, she was still cute. Especially when she stuck her tongue out playfully.

There was a chirp around them, and suddenly a little ball of greenish blues fluttered around Jack before nuzzling into his cheek.

"Oh, hey, Baby Tooth!" Jack laughed, now cupping the tiny fairy close while Elizabeth muttered 'Baby Tooth?'. "How're you?"

Baby Tooth chirped happily in response. She had been promoted to second in command, and her job was to make double sure everyone else was in check! It was a hefty job, but it was one she could handle nevertheless! When she fluttered away to see him, she felt someone behind her and turned as she rested on Jack's shoulder. "Baby Tooth, this is Elizabeth!" He greeted, but Elizabeth could only wave awkwardly at this...tiny fairy as she glared deeply at her.

"Um...Hello?"

Baby Tooth squeaked angrily, flying up to Elizabeth's face and ranting to her, knowing full well the connection she had. It was obvious! How could Jack, her sweet, sweet Jack, bring someone who reeked of darkness and Pitch Black himself, into the Tooth Palace?! What was he thinking?!

"This was a bad idea." Elizabeth muttered, stepping back a few, but Baby Tooth was in hot pursuit. No way would she let someone like her roam around here without her watch!

"Woah, woah! Baby Tooth, calm down," Jack said calmly as he gently pulled her back. "She's my friend! She's not a threat." She was not convinced, but still settled in Jack's hands, her little arms crossed with a huff and her glare remaining. Jack looked up at Elizabeth. "I'm really sorry, 'Beth. I didn't know she'd react that way."

"I-Its fine." She rushed, her eyes still on the fairy in his hands, wary. "Can we just get your teeth and leave? I don't want to cause any more problems with her fairies."

Jack frowned, to which Baby Tooth- who had looked up at him to agree with Elizabeth that she needed to leave- noticed. Baby Tooth's glare loosened up, but her own frown was still strong. What to do? Should she trust Jack's judgment? Surely he wouldn't bring a threat over here, he knows better! Especially with someone like her.

"...Yeah, 'Beth, we can." He said, not wanting her to be more uncomfortable than she already was, and gave Baby Tooth a lopsided smile. "We gotta hurry and get goin', Baby Tooth. We're trying to figure out my memories."

Memories? That's what they're here for? Why would Jack need her help with something so simple to her? She squealed her concerns, gesturing to Elizabeth. Luckily Jack could understand her pretty well.

"Oh! She knew me when I was alive. We were best friends." He looked over to Elizabeth, and Baby Tooth had never seen Jack smile that way before. "We kind of are still, but I don't remember much of her. We figured we'd try this out."

Baby Tooth nodded slowly, her eyes stuck on the other girl. Finally, she fluttered over to Elizabeth, who flinched back. Baby Tooth studied her, before offering a smile. If...If she was trying to help Jack, she was alright in Baby Tooth's book. Elizabeth awkwardly smiled back.

Jack grinned at the two, happy that Baby Tooth was giving her a chance. When Elizabeth glanced over to him, her expression still awkward, he gestured to follow him. Vaguely, he remembered where the memories where because he'd been there once or twice before. However, this was the Tooth Palace, this place was large and open, and while it seemed like it'd be easy to find the room with all the memories, it wasn't (purely for safety reasons because of...Uhm, you know).

Elizabeth slowly began to walk closer to him, but Baby Tooth took the lead, and fluttered down off one of the ledges to go lower. Jack looked over at Elizabeth, realizing that she probably had no way of going down.

"Uh, 'Beth?" He questioned. "How're you gonna-"

"I think I got it," she assured as she stared at the ledge in focus before grinning softly at him. "Just go ahead and I'll follow."

Doubtful, but trustful of her, he did just that. He paused next to Baby Tooth, who had been waiting. She chirped about what was taking so long, and before Jack could answer Elizabeth jumped off the ledge and quickly began to plummet. Jack nearly jumped out of his skin in a panic and was seconds away from going after her, but Elizabeth summoned a ball of sand and threw it in front of her, creating her Nightmare, Cly. Jack sighed in relief.

Jack lowered himself down along with Baby Tooth to meet her. She looked up. "I'm sorry I scared you."

"It's fine." He laughed, settling down onto the next level where the small fairy was.

She chirped a few lines, more so idle chat. Jack listened, and tried to not melt into a puddle when Elizabeth shyly leaned to his side and cautiously held his hand. She still felt way too out of place, and tried distracting herself by matching her temperature with his. Baby Tooth quickly took notice and looked between the two.

Before she could question it, Jack gently shook his head, looking over at Elizabeth who's gaze was anywhere but them. She understood, and respected his wishes. Her hand went over to press against the large golden door before them where the memories were held, and it opened at her command.

Elizabeth was completely in love.

Suddenly, to Jack's surprise, she was smiling, smiling so big her fangs were showing fully, and her eyes were these little slits and her cheeks were squished. Elizabeth thought this room was beautiful, like the rest of the palace, but she could feel love and care radiating off the walls and from the endless sea of containers that held little adorable faces on them. Part of it was that feeling, and another part of her excitement was the fact that Jack was one step closer to getting his memories back-one step closer and it was here!

Keeping her hold on his hand, she almost flung Jack into the room on accident, and when she felt him stumble Elizabeth realized she forgot hiw light he was. "Oh! Sorry." She said sheepishly, her cheeks glowing a little.

"It's fine. But uh, are you alright?" Her entire body was almost buzzing.

"I-I've never felt this much love before! It's almost overwhelming." She admitted.

Yes, she was a creature of darkness and fear, however, they were able to sense other emotions; like her father, she was sensitive to love. Because Elizabeth was the more emotional of the two, she was sensitive to most emotions as well, but love is what got her the most. Fear made her feel powerful by nature, but love made her happy.

"Oh yeah? I think Tooth mentioned how the teeth contained all the good memories of childhood. Which makes sense because she's a Guardian for that reason..." he trailed, thinking it over, but Elizabeth was giddily following Baby Tooth to retrieve his box.

Baby Tooth chirped over to Jack, who reached past Elizabeth to grab his box; a golden tube with a little drawing of...Elizabeth stared for a second. Oh. Well, she didn't know what she was expecting, to be honest. But to see him, her Jackson, it hurt.

"Ready to go see if it works?" Jack said, but realized she was staring.

He glanced down at his memories, before handing over to her. Normally only Tooth or the fairies were allowed to touch another's box, but Jack felt she needed that little picture of him. And she did. Hesitantly, and getting approval from Baby Tooth, Elizabeth's trembling hands carefully took the box away from Jack, her eyes never leaving him.

"Hey," he whispered gently, guiding her to walk out, "are you going to be okay? Do you want to go back to the Pole, or stay here?"

"...Pole." She muttered, almost in a trance. She shook her head lightly. "I'm sorry." She said. "It's just...I hadn't seen...well, you in a long time." Her thumb traced along Jackson's cheek, and she felt her eyes water slightly. Jack watched as her fangs pointed out of her gentle smile a little, and he tried not to focus on how...loving she looked. "It's different."

"I get it," he nodded. "I do. But let's get back to the Pole then we can figure everything else out, alright?" He kept his tone to be gentle and encouraging because he knew she needed that as well. He had no idea how tough this was for her, but he'd try to accommodate for her as best he could.

"Yeah, you're right. Sorry, I'm so distracted." She shoved the box to him, not by her own want, and quickly picked him up before he had time to register, and within a seconds notice they were in the shadows.

"Bunny..." Tooth whispered, before glancing behind her to look at Cupid, who was nodding in encouragement. He suggested getting the other Guardians behind her in support to possibly ease the blow of her fear of rejection. Bunny glanced down at her before looking confused.

"Ah...yeah?"

"Okay." She sighed deeply, looking at anywhere but him, "Listen; there's, uhm, someone I like, and-"

"Woah, woah, wait, you like someone? Of all the years I've known yah, I-"

"This is serious, Bunny!" She hissed lightly, not liking his joking tone. She was already on edge.

"Fine, fine, I'm just teasin' you anyways. So, who is it?"

Tooth paled a little. Fumbling her fingers, she began to mutter, "U-Um, well, it's not exactly...well...okay. You have to keep this a secret."

Bunny could tell she was nervous and felt kinda bad. "It's between us."

"And you won't tease me about it?"

"Cross my heart."

She sighed a little, and whispered. "It's North." under her breath, and waited in anticipation for Bunny's reaction.

"Oh. I called that."

Tooth looked at him, completely shocked. "W-What?"

Bunny cracked a grin, huffing a little. "Really? You're kind of obvious, Tooth. I've known you for hundred of years."

"Oh Moon..." She sighed, hand against her forehead. "What do I do?"

"Well, I say tell 'im."

"It's not that easy, Bunny," She stressed. "It's North! He's to nice to reject me-"

"Woah, woah, ay, who said he's gonna reject you?" Bunny put a paw on her shoulder to calm her down. "You're a good friend to him, yeah, but who knows? He could feel the same way."

She sighed in defeat, the growing anxiety pooling in her gut. "I don't know...I feel like he will." She shook her head. "But I hate feeling like this. I'm just...I'm just going to tell him. Be upfront."

"There ya go!" He said encouragingly. "What's the worst that can happen? Maybe you even get Cupid with you, it'd make you feel better."

"He's the one to convince me to tell you." Her arms crossed, and her feet were on the floor as she curled gently into herself. "He just got Jack and Elizabeth together, and I trust his judgment, but..."

"Well, they knew each other when he was alive." He said. "It's more of a matter with his memories."

She nodded gently, thinking about her. "Yeah. But his memory box hasn't been working right and I have no idea why."

Bunny noticed her anxious demeanor turned more...sad? Awkwardly, he looked around to make sure they were alone. "Tooth? You, ah, you okay?"

She leaned against the wall on her side, closing her eyes slightly. "Just thinking about her."

"Who? Elizabeth?"

"Yeah." She smiled softly. "You know what Bunny? She looks a lot like my sister."

"Oh yeah?" He responded, surprised she was speaking about her. He knew briefly she had a half older sister, a mortal one at that, but he didn't know she had been married to Pitch of all people until Elizabeth. Her sister was a sore subject for her, so she just avoided or outright denied the topic.

"Yeah!" Her eyes opened, and they were watery. "She has her smile. And her round cheeks." She giggled a little bit, her older sister clear in her vision now. "And her eyes. Well, as much as she can have because of Pitch's features. But I see a lot of her in Elizabeth. Moreso in Kira, though."

"Kira?"

"My eldest niece. She's living her own life, somewhere. I knew her when she was little, but now she doesn't know who I am other than the Tooth Fairy. I didn't know they had another kid. I would've been there for him if I'd known."

"Odd he'd try to hurt you, though," Bunny noted. "When he took your fairies and tried to kill us."

"Well, our relationship was never great to begin with," Tooth explained. "I never approved of him, obviously, but my sister was always a rebel so she ignored me when she began seeing him. I don't know, but I guess she felt she could change him. She was always a fixer. And I guess she did, a little at least." She fiddled with her fingers and bit her lip before sighing. "I'm sorry I unloaded all of this onto you. You know I've never...well..."

"It's fine, Toothie." Bunny said quietly, feeling bad for his fellow Guardian. He knew what it was like to lose loved ones.

"Let's get back to North." She muttered, eyes downcast. "So, um...do you think he'll be okay with it?"

"I'm certain." Bunny nodded. "If Cupid's got faith in ya', you don't need anyone else."

Tooth smiled at that. "You're right! Thanks Bunny."

"No problem." He laughed, and watched his fellow Guardian flutter away in excitement.
