Chapter Twenty-Eight: "A Royal Reappearance"
A tall unknown figure had lingered between the shadows carefully not drawing anyone's attention to him. He was slowly watching the large group as they walked into the Capital City of Andros, Lagunea, which wasn't far from the Androsian Palace—a good twenty minutes distance.
The air was slightly cooler, but it still had that humidity that had caused his dark purple leather attire stick completely to his skin, not to mention that this unidentified person had his hood on and sweats had trickled down his face. He had to stick to his masterly plan—one that might just send the entire magical universe in complete uproar over such scandalous news, but then again he'd been highly astounded by such a discovery.
A wicked smile showed on the tanned man's stubbled face.
This was going to be such a delicious and juicy tale especially once the news breaks out all across the multi-dimensions. So they were indeed alive after all these years? The man needed deeper details and somehow juice out all the information with his bloody hands, so how was he going to play this out exactly?
The Domino's royal bloodline had not perished as most people in the Magical Dimension had believed to be—and the magic of Dragon Flame had ceased to exist—its once firey, ancient magic had completely extinguished as the pure magical light had faded away for all eternity.
It was a good thing that Vivienne had tipped him off about their unexpected survival—wouldn't it be simply fun to expose them to public's eye?
What the pathetic woman hadn't thought off prior to revealing to him such astounding news was how he was taking this to very advantage. The dark-haired fairy had gave him a few valuable information that would most certainly benefit him—he just needed to pull this story together.
The young redheaded princess had laughed—her voice filled with cheerfulness and the girl was completely delighted by what the Androsian was trying to show her. Princess Aisha's arm was clung in Bloom's as she guided her to her favourite shop followed by a blond-haired girl who the man knew as the Princess of Solaria.
Or perhaps. . . a smirk appeared on the man's lips.
A bloody brilliant plan had just popped up in his mind.
Oritel was extremely frustrated as the man had ran his fingers through his short dark brown hair as he glared down at the published article within the Magix's Weekly Magazine. It'd seemed to the man that it was freshly (printed) released as he spotted the date at the bottom of the magazine.
It was utterly repulsive!
He had been reunited with his family less than two weeks ago and now there were crystal clear snapshots of himself, his wife, and two young daughters along with the rest who were enjoying the rest of their summer holidays—some photos were taken in the Capital City of Andros Lagunea and some were in Magix City.
Oritel had instantly figured out that someone had known about them being alive secretly and had been keeping tabs on him and his girls. Or secondly, had someone recognized them from their mere appearance. Well either way. . . this just unsettled him a bit.
Oritel had let out a heavy sigh.
He knew that this would eventually happen—it was something he and Marion had expected once they returned back to life (and they were going to come out openly) but not so soon. They needed time to settle (with what everything had been going on in their lives).
It was going to be a tad difficult now (as for certain most of the public were now aware of their survival) and were somehow seeking answers. Even the photos that had been taken were so up close (him and his wife were easily recognizable to the entire magical universe, unlike both his daughters who had very young and hadn't been exposed to the public eleven years ago)—it would only be complete foolishness if they'd denied their return to the magical universe.
Oritel wasn't the type of man who would hide away from public's eye. He wasn't afraid nor was he a coward for that matter. The king had to approach this issue in the most cautious manner as he read over the article once more.
What had concerned the man that it'd been published anonymously not even revealing the gender of this person. It was rather difficult to speculate who had managed to inform the reporters about their whereabouts (that were obviously delighted by hearing such fantastic news to their ears).
It was odd in itself.
Oritel had speculated that Vivienne might've had something to do with this as that woman had known about him and his family's survival and had decided to take this to her very advantage?
The dark fairy had been fairly quiet recently and it'd bothered Oritel tremendously. Nor had she appeared to be around unless she was changing her physical appearance to someone else each time so it'd wouldn't give Oritel the impression that she was stalking him and his family for her own pleasures especially laying her dark eyes on him.
A sickening look showed on Oritel's face. His face was completely drained out of all colour.
The brunet man hadn't wanted to dwell upon it.
Magix's Weekly Magazine
By Iris Woodheart and Evan Blanco
It'd been brought to our attention by an anonymous source in which this individual wishes to remain unidentified throughout the remainder of the interview as we'd gathered rather some astounding news that may just bewilder the entire Magic Dimension as we speak.
We all the know the legendary tale of the Great Dragon who had chosen the Planet of Domino—famously known as the land of the Great Dragon as it's final resting place before bestowing it's mystical powerful magic upon the Domino's Royal Family's bloodline that had been passed down from heir to heir upon rising to Domino's Throne.
No more than a decade ago, there had been a great (yet dark) disturbance that had lingered over the magical universe and threatened every Realm and Planets in existence. It was no other than Lord Darkar (known as the Dark Shadow Phoenix) and with his allies the Ancestral Witches, Valtor, and dark creatures that inhabited the Dark Dimension of Obsidian. Obsidian is a place of utmost nightmares where monsters and demons are all caged only to emerge upon seeing its weakest prey in the wake of their magic being entirely drained.
King Oritel and Queen Marion of Domino, the leaders of the Company of Light had supposedly believed to have perished in the dark war or has it simply been a mere speculation? Had the King and Queen of Domino remained hidden for all these long years without their darling Princesses? Or is there more to the story than what meets the eyes? The endless possibilities of how it could all play out. . .
It also comes to our acknowledgment that Lord Alec Lovell older brother of Queen Marion had left the Magic Dimension for a more peaceful planet, a nonmagical planet that laid outside of this very dimension—Planet Earth—alongside his oldest niece, Princess Daphne without uttering his or the princess' whereabouts. After his long absence from the universe, it had appeared that Lord Lovell had settled down with a lovely witch for a wife, Lady Evelyn Lovell, and the two together have three sons.
Sources tells me, Alec had believed his youngest niece (princess) who is named as Bloom to have been dead as an infant but it'd proven to be only false. The youngest princess had been sent to Planet Earth that had gone unnoticed by the princess' uncle. Princess Bloom had been adopted by a lovely Earthling couple, James and Lily Potter and she also gained an adoptive older brother named Harry Potter who held much love to the princess.
How is that even possible? What had really happened in the past decade? What is going to happen next? What is really headed in the royal couple's path? What secrets shall be uncovered?
Part 2 of this interview will be continued tonight at the Royal Gala in which the Royal Family of Domino will finally make their reappearance back to the public after nearly a decade of not being seen. . .
Royal Gala? Oritel had completely forgotten about the annual event that took place at the end of the summer in Magix City. People were now expecting him and his family to make their reappearance to the magical universe.
Oritel had scrunched up his nose in pure disgust as he slowly brought down the magazine—his brown eyes observing the surrounding room—only to see that no one had joined him for breakfast yet.
(King Oritel had needed some alone time to allow this shocking news to sink into his mind).
The brunet man was instantly startled upon feeling a hard pressure on his shoulder only to see his brother-in-law had a stern look. Apparently, he hadn't been too pleased by such a revelation as Alec wore the same expression he had on a few minutes ago upon reading it.
"You've read it already?"
Oritel nodded. "Yes, and it seems to me that people are already tracking us down anonymously and I'd forgotten about the royal event and now people are expecting our return."
"I was unaware it was published in the magazine until I saw people discussing it on the Magix's News. Let me take a quick look at it?" Alec asked, though he could see the annoyance written on the man's face as Oritel shared the article with his brother-in-law whose expression morphed into pure fury.
"It must be Vivienne. She's the only one that knows of this, Oritel."
It was the only thing that came to his conclusion and it'd fit in with this description. No one else had known about this and not only that he could easily remember how the dark fairy had fled the scene upon her seeing Oritel again.
Was this another part of her scheme revenge? Was the woman tried of chasing after a man who didn't love her back in return, especially a man who had a family of his own?
She had no morals whatsoever.
Vivienne had no limits—this was way over her boundaries even for her.
Oritel agreed with Alec's words.
"I also do believe she may be behind this motive Alec. Perhaps with this information revealed out to the public, she must truly believe that this would keep me separated from my girls. This is only foolishness at it's finest point. As much as I'm pissed at her for what she'd done to my family. I do pity her deeply. She truly never learned to grow up properly, forever trapped in her delusional reality of chasing after me." Oritel shook his head utterly displeased.
The blond-haired wizard stared at Oritel. "You feel sorry for Vivienne? After all what she'd done to—"
"I'm fully aware of the terrible act she'd done to my family and that I can never forgive her. But still, I do feel sorry for her," the brunet king acknowledged.
"And if my little sister gets hurt in the process—"
"Marion nor the girls aren't going to get hurt. I will not allow it to ever happen again." Oritel had threw a glare as he disliked when Alec had invaded his personal space especially in regards to the concern he had over his sister and two nieces.
Alec hardly believed the king's statement.
"Hopefully not. I just don't want to see my sister heartbroken again not like what happened to her back in 1976 or you unintentionally hurting the girls with this knowledge."
Oritel knew that Alec would never forget the incident that had occurred in 1976 especially how it'd shattered Marion's heart forever with his own words in which he had publicly humiliated Marion in front of the entire kingdom.
He'd been not himself at the time, as the crown prince had been under a full love potion that Vivienne had spiked into his glass unknowingly. Oritel had recalled the endless days he'd personally tried to give out a full apology to Marion, seeking out her forgiveness.
"Anyways, what are you going to do about this matter? And the royal event can't be avoided either. . ." Alec pressed on the issue—related to the article within the magazine.
Oritel sighed. "We have to address this as a family. This will come off as a rather huge shock to Marion and the girls if they find out about it which I'm certain they will."
"Find out about what exactly?" a familiar voice had piped up from behind the two men as they turned to see both women dressed in their fine nightdress with sheer golden robes.
"Marion?"
"Evelyn?"
"Good morning boys!"
Marion had approached her husband, warmth shinning in her bright green eyes. Her eyes had fallen over a particular magazine that he'd been reading and raised a questioning red brow at Oritel as the redhead woman took a seat next to her husband.
"May I take a quick peek at it, love?" Marion asked her husband who seemed to have been in deep thought over a particular thing that appeared to have him highly concerned.
Oritel and Alec shared a quick worried expression over how Marion might take the sudden news that had been published in the article as he'd given her the magazine. Her once elated expression had instantly changed, a deep frown formed on her lips as the woman continued to read through the article as her eyes narrowed at each word that she read.
"Unbelievable? The press had already manage to dig out information on us so quickly? We just been reunited no more than two weeks ago! And we were planning to come out openly but no so soon. It's like we can't catch a breath," Marion shook her head displeased—almost as if she felt insulted by such written accusations held against her and her family. It'd always been difficult for any royal family or celebrities to keep a low profile without catching attention from the public.
How dare they smear her own brother's reputation with this utter nonsense!
It was downright crap.
Her brother had been protecting his darling niece for all these years and Marion was utterly grateful to have a sibling, despite the fact that he may enact on impulse at times, but in the end, Alec had always meant well to protect his loved ones.
(Maybe he did have a point about not to contact anyone in the past decade? Or not? But still. . .)
It was disastrous!
It wasn't as if she and Oritel were planning to remain hidden from the Magic Dimension any longer than necessary, as the royal couple had needed to straighten out their priorities above anything else before they officially announce their return to the universe.
She gazed at her brother and sister-in-law pitifully. "I'm so sorry that they dragged you both into this mess, including everyone else as well. The press really don't know how to stay out of someone's nose, honestly."
"It's fine sissy. We're all going to deal with this matter sooner or later. The sooner it's dealt with the better it is and it's already been televised," Alec responded, seeing the distress on Marion's face as she let out a groan.
"And they really dug deep into this, getting some juicy details and to mention that not many people are even aware of Earth too," Evelyn pointed out.
"Yes and believe or not, I really do have a feeling that Vivienne had somehow managed to tip someone off about all this," Alec's green eyes narrowed (more intended to Oritel), slight fury had lingered in his eyes.
"Who else? I wouldn't be surprised at all," Marion spat, crossing her arms in an unpleasant manner over her frustration.
In fact, the redhead woman had been most livid upon seeing the bolded word—without—having her own children with her and Oritel for all these years, as if they had carefully avoided mentioning the term of the girls being neglected.
She would never in her life would leave her daughters' side not for a single moment, but this was simply damaging her and Oritel's reputation with false pretenses as to what kind of parents they were. They had to clear this misinterpretation to the public.
(The reporters had no boundaries when it comes spilling juicy secrets out to the public when certain people wanted to keep their life private from public without all those gossip flying in the air—simply stirring unnecessary drama into their life).
Oritel gazed at his wife lovingly and kissed her on the lips sweetly.
"I'm sorry this had to ruin your day, but Happy Birthday my love."
Marion had froze upon hearing those words escape her husband's lips.
The redhead fairy had forgotten that today was her thirty-two birthday and she felt the blood rushing to her cheeks. (The woman had nearly forgotten her own birthday with all what had been going in her and Oritel's return back to life).
Alec and Evelyn smiled warmly at the redhead—though Marion could easily see that some sort of mischief (or something secretive that hadn't included her) had glimmered in their bright eyes.
"Happy Birthday, Marion," Alec kissed his sister on the forehead lovingly. "You're my favourite little sis."
Marion arched a brow, as she laughed. "Only sister that you have."
He only smiled.
Aisha had guided her friends out to the Royal Gardens.
Bloom's eyes had widen upon the variety of flowers that were considered to be very unusual (and quite rare) as it dazzled with bright colours under the golden sun.
There were many ivory that were wrapped around on every old, tall, pine trees and rose bushes. Some flowers had an eerie glow to it (and if it were to be picked, it wouldn't lose its brightness). The Andorsian princess had escorted them to middle of the garden where a tall marbled fountain stood as water had spurted out from its opening.
"You never done this from before Aisha, Stella? It's really easy and fun!" Bloom beamed, as the redhead fairy had explained to her friends about how to make a crown made out of flowers entirely.
"No. I don't think my mother would allow me to do something like this," Aisha answered, as she made the final opening hole in the flower's stem—to her it'd almost seemed like sowing even though she never done it personally, but she had watched her grandmother knit wonderful scarfs in unique patterns.
"Why not?"
"Because it's not suitable for a princess to get herself dirty from plants. I know that sounds really traditional for how a princess ought to behave, but that's how I lived for all my life with being the prefect girl in my parents' eyes especially my mum." Aisha explained.
"Oh, is it really that complicated for being a princess?" Bloom questioned both Stella and Aisha curiously, who seemed to have shared the same expression.
"You have no idea," the Solarian princess uttered with a tiring sigh that showed her frustration with following each royal protocol lesson she had to endure. Though Stella hadn't minded the tight gowns at all, sometimes she would use her own magic and add her personal taste to the dress even though the dress would be tailored to her standards. The Princess of Solaria had a tendency to keep up with the fashion trend—her indication of wanting her own boutique shop in the future.
Bloom had seen from the way Stella acted—she had truly enjoyed her life as a royal princess.
Aisha had discussed in details over her traditional life as the Princess of Andros. Bloom felt her face grow with full of worry—she couldn't imagine herself dressed in plenty of dazzling colourful gowns on daily occasions, stepping in utter grace, and just simply following royal protocol.
(It had already seemed too much pressure on her shoulders the more Bloom had thought about it).
And what had stunned Bloom the most was about the fact that most traditional royal families (including her very own parents) were faced with arrange marriages with other royal families or noble families within their own kingdoms.
"Arrange marriages? Seriously?" Bloom frowned, tremendously disliking the idea of being in arrange marriage to a person that was specially that was chosen by the parents in securing their child's future. But what if she didn't like that person that was chosen by her birthparents? Would she go through the entire process for the sake of her parents' happiness?
The redhead princess had turned to her sister. "Have you known about this Daphne?"
Daphne looked at Bloom with a slight frown on her face.
The girl had known about this for a long time from her uncle who had taught her about their family's royal tradition and what's expected of the princesses to behave in a royal society.
"Sadly yes. I don't like the very idea as much as you do little sis. But with our Father back he'll probably enact on it," Daphne replied, seeing her sister's lips deeply frown—who would blame her for feeling this way?
Daphne hadn't liked that idea as well, but the girl had preferred the idea to meet someone freely of her own choosing and from hearing her parents' love story from her uncle, it wouldn't be fair would it?
"Just from hearing all this, it sorta sounds like what traditionalist purebloods would do minus the whole royalty status," Harry whispered to his sister who gave a nod. It was indeed similar to pureblood traditions on Earth, as she personally knew from her friends' lifestyle back at Hogwarts.
The redhead girl had finished her last flower crown, only to see that her hands were covered in dirt and fallen petals. She had personally enjoyed making crowns made from flowers—there was something about it being made the old fashion way with her hands, maybe it was because she was crafting it from her love she held for her family.
She had to ask her older sister's opinion. "Do you think our mother would love this? Or maybe I should've gotten mother something from Magix or Lagunea. But I'm not sure what she would like until I thought of this. . ."
Harry could see the worry in his sister's blue eyes.
She'd personally loved seeing the happiness on one's face upon presenting them with her gifts—as the boy had remembered all the times they had celebrated their parents' birthdays, even uncle Remus and godfather Sirius.
Daphne smiled at her sister warmly. "Mum would love it. I know she would."
Bloom felt pure relief flooded her chest over hearing her sister's reassuring words.
"So girls what are you up too?" Luna peered, over seeing batches of flowers that were made into crowns. "Ah, I see your busy making flower crowns."
"Mum!" Stella's hazel eyes had widen, upon not only seeing her mother but the rest of the adults who had taken their interest in the batch of flower crowns that were settled beside the girls and Harry who had decided to join them.
Daphne and Bloom had turned around to see their dear family approaching them.
Marion gazed at her daughters warmheartedly—as the woman was beyond delighted in seeing her daughters doing a beautiful activity together that had took their minds off of certain things. But then again, her lips had slowly morphed back into the same frown the redhead fairy had on earlier.
Concern had rose on Daphne's face upon seeing her parents moving restlessly, as if something had disturbed their moods. Oritel had more of a stern appearance—as if being overly cautious about a particular issue that hadn't been addressed yet. Alec had grimaced in disgust and Evelyn appeared to be agitated.
Clearly, something was up—it had caused tension in the air upon seeing the adults being so heavily worried that their own children have seemed to quieted down, no longer displaying their joyfulness among with the adults, rather their eyes filled with curiosity.
"Is everything alright Mum?" Daphne was the first to break the silence that surrounded them.
The redhead queen observed the crowns that were made from flowers and it had seemed to the woman that the girls had been working on it for some time. Bloom drew nearer to her family members carefully noting their demeanor expression they wore on their face.
"Everything's fine. . . oh those are lovely darlings," Marion's vividly emerald eyes had fallen on the flowers that were held in her both of her daughters' hands as a crack of smile tugged at Marion's lips.
Daphne and Bloom gazed at one another before glancing back at their mother will love in their eyes.
"Happy Birthday Mum!" The two sisters had thrusted themselves into Marion's embrace, as the woman had tightened her grip on them—tears threatening to spill from her eyes upon hearing those delighted words escaping their lips.
"Oh girls! The best present I would ever have is having you two as my daughters. It's one of life's greatest treasures of all," she whispered as the woman pulled away from them, looking at them with so much affection upon the girls presenting her a flower crown in which they had crafted from their own hands.
It was crystal clear that the girls had gone way out on crafting the crown that was made by their pure love they held for her and Marion couldn't help, but feel so deeply warmed in the heart. It was too touching for her.
(A part of Marion had just felt as if this entire scenario that was playing in front of her was just a blissful yet torturous endless dream—one that she might never wake up from. But it was real, she was alive and breathing alongside her husband Oritel who looked equally proud of a parent as she was herself).
Daphne's hazel eyes shinned with many emotions, as tears began to creep into the corners of her eyes. The blond-haired princess had immediately blinked those tears away.
"We've made plenty for everyone!" Bloom beamed.
The adults had shifted uncomfortably upon receiving the flowers from the children. They looked guilty over the fact that they had to cancel their original plans for the day, as they nearly forgotten all about the Royal Gala.
"Are you sure that there's nothing going on?" Bloom raised a brow at her adoptive parents, Lily and James—the duo appeared to be distracted just like most of the adults—but tried to appear as if nothing were going on. All is normal.
Even Harry had noticed that as well, as concern flickered in his eyes also wanting an answer to this peculiar atmosphere that had surrounded them.
Aisha had made a face in disgust—the girl knew that type of stern expression the adults made, it was way too recognizable. The Androsian princess knew that this had to do something with the media press' fabulous story (a nasty rumor was swirling in the air).
"I'm going to assume this has something to do with the media right Mum, Dad?"
Harry had a feeling that Aisha was right about it. It was almost the same expression his parents, godfather, and uncle Moony wore when they read the Daily Prophet News regarding some scandalous story about a particular someone especially one their favorite topic would be about The Boy Who Lived's life and his adventures with his family or the generosity of the Malfoy's who would uphold the annual charity for St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. (They would uphold it every summer prior to the start of a new school year).
"You are right my dear Aisha. I also like to bring up the fact that this matter will be handled tonight at the Royal Gala Event in Magix as you know sweetheart," Teredor elaborated, side-eyeing his friend Oritel.
Oritel and Marion were well aware of the Royal Gala Event that was taking place in the evening in Magix City. The Royal Gala consisted the invitation of every royal family across the magical universe along with famous celebrities.
It was an annual event that would occur at the near end of the summer holidays—allowing other royal families to have a chance to socialize and to rekindle once more with other families across the magical universe.
The brunet king knew that avoiding this particular major event amongst other royals would bring dishonor over his family. It would be quite insulting to not make an appearance at one of the most significant marked event of the summer's end.
"A Royal Gala?" Bloom knitted her red brows together at her birthfather, as he had begun to explain to her the customs that would occur in the Magix's Capital, yearly, which was a royal gathering from all across the dimensions.
Of course Bloom had been most grateful to Daphne, who had been teaching her some of the customary traditions of their family and kingdom on the weekends when the two sisters had been at Hogwarts together.
It'd been practical for Bloom as Daphne had showed her how dance—now looking back on it, the girl was glad that she knew a few things about her heritage. At the very least she wouldn't appear to be an idiot over not knowing her blood family's tradition (and culture).
The redhead princess had spun around in the most magnificent pale blue gown she'd ever wore in her life. The gown had faded from pale blue to the deepest of blue, almost appearing midnight in colour at the train. It was an off shoulder gown that had many embedded diamonds sequins embedded into the gown, almost glittering like stars.
Bloom had loved the ruffle chiffon that swished about her side and the girl liked how delicate this gown was compared to the others gowns (that nearly sucked the air out of her) that she'd tried on earlier. It had caused her bright red-hair to glow against her pale complexion and it had also brought out her sapphire eyes.
The girl turned her head spotting her older sister across the room dressed in a beautiful honey coloured floor length gown. It wasn't a full ballgown but rather slim and tight with a golden sheer cape that hung from the back of the dress—glimmering under the lights of the room—as her long blond locks were curled.
"Wow! Daphne, you look really lovely in that dress," Bloom commented.
Daphne turned to see her younger sister who was fond with her gown. She had twirled in the dress, almost feeling like a true radiating princess.
"You look really pretty too Bloom. That dress does suite your complexion," Daphne walked over to her sister.
The sisters had heard a gentle knock on the door—the voice had belonged to their birthparents—as the door had given a slight creak as Marion poked her head inside to see both her daughters dressed in their magnificent gowns.
"Oh don't you look lovely girls," Marion spoke, as the woman had opened the door in order for her husband Oritel to take a glimpse of their daughters.
Oritel's brown eyes had fallen on Daphne and Bloom, both appearing ethereal in their gowns—though there was a few things that were missing in order to complete their perfect imagery as the Princesses of Domino and Oritel was beyond delighted to present his girls with gifts.
Marion had wore a stunning emerald gown that hugged at her body—the materials of the dress had appeared to be like dragon scales fading from the deepest of the yellow to forest green as it gleamed. It was a sleeved down but the fabric of the sleeve were sheer and it was embedded with diamond sequences. A translucent cape was hung from her shoulders and it had a long train and Marion's hair was in a updo style with falling bangs that were curled to the side of her face with a golden crown rested her head. She had glittering jewelry on her neck, ears, and fingers.
Oritel was dressed in his crimson robe with a long fur cape hung from the shoulder blades. There were many golden military badges pinned to his vest and his infamous sword hung to the side of his waist.
"You two really do take after your charming mother," King Oritel remarked, which had caused both his daughters to blush intensely.
"Thanks Dad!" Bloom and Daphne uttered.
The brunet man had gestured to the plushy sofa at the end of the room and smiled warmly at his family. "Of course, there's just a few more things that you'll need to wear to this event."
Bloom quirked a brow. "Which is what exactly?"
"A few jewelries and a tiara," Marion told her daughters as the entire family had seated themselves on the sofa.
Oritel had conjured two chests that contained most of the finest and rare gemstones and golden jewels that existed on their homeworld, Domino. In fact some of the precious jewelry were centuries old that had been worn by previous members of the royal family.
Bloom and Daphne glanced at their father.
The redhead princess had looked a little skeptical (like wasn't this a bit extra or something?).
Bloom's eyes had widen upon seeing so many golden jewelry, gemstones and diamonds. The girl was taken aback, each delicate piece was beautiful and unique from one another. But something had caught Bloom's interest as it glimmered under the light and it seemed to her that Oritel had spotted over what had catched his youngest daughter's eye.
"I see you'd took a fancy to this one," Oritel had pulled out a stunning simple necklace—it was pure silver but the heart was the brightest shade of blue she'd ever seen in a shape of a heart—along with small matching heart earrings. "And I'm glad you've taken to this one in particular. You see sweetheart, this one was a gift from your grandfather—my father—upon your birth."
Bloom's expression had softened upon hearing those words from her father, as she took the necklace gracefully into her hands. She had spotted something within the heart, something written within it and it had touched Bloom's heart.
(To our beloved granddaughter, Bloom — Hyperion & Leilani).
The girl had slightly frowned. It had broke her heart knowing that her grandparents had loved her but she never had met them. "I just wish I'd met them, dad."
Oritel had beamed upon hearing Bloom's words. His mother had fawned over baby Bloom as Leilani held her precious granddaughter in her arms rocking her to sleep with her lullaby as well.
"They had loved you and your sister dearly even your grandfather Adrian as you two were everything in their eyes. My mother had been thrilled to have two granddaughters," Oritel commented—his memories of his parents and father-in-law resurfacing in his mind as if it had been only yesterday. Bloom had seen how Marion who had decided to put the accessories on Daphne delightfully and helping her adjusting the tiara on her head.
Bloom felt the heaviness of the tiara pressing down on her head.
(It was really nice of Oritel and Marion were presenting her and her sister Daphne with gifts, but the girl felt overwhelmed. But admitting her feelings about it to her birthparents, would it shatter their pride they expressed to having two daughters back in their lives once more?)
She smiled at her father who seemed to be dazzling with gratification upon seeing his youngest child as a lovely princess that she'd been born to be.
Bloom had spotted her brother Harry and she had dragged him to the room, closing the door behind her without anyone trying to follow them. The redhead princess had secretly felt grateful that Daphne was with Marion at the moment as Bloom wanted to speak to her brother alone in private.
"You look really nice Harry. And your hair, how in the world did you manage it to straighten it out like that?" Bloom asked, her brother dressed in a fine suite in dark navy with a vest and a little bow tie at the neck, and his hair wasn't the usual untidiness, but rather sleek.
"It took ages for them to find the right spell for my untidy hair to lay straight for the first time," Harry commented.
"And that's making me wanting to mess your hair up," Bloom giggled sweetly.
Harry rolled his eyes and his lips twisted into a grin. "Well now you can't. You look really pretty sis."
Bloom's cheeks flushed bright pink. "Thanks Harry. . . but don't you think it's a little extra?"
"Why would you say that?" Harry asked curiously.
The girl had sighed. "Don't you think," Bloom's voice dropped low not wanting anyone to hear her conversation even though they were in a room behind closed doors. If her sister had heard her, it would most likely break Daphne's heart. ". . . they're trying too hard with me? I mean, my birthparents are showering me and Daphne with lots of gifts . . . I kinda feel like this is happening all too fast, with everything going on. I don't know maybe I'm feeling overwhelmed. . ." Bloom sat at the edge of the bed, gazing at her bother for some kind of reassurance from his presence.
The black-haired wizard approached his sister and sat besides her on the bed. "Well the other day they'd been asking Mum and Dad all sorts of things about you and what you love, like, and how not to get on your bad temper?"
"Did you just have to say the last one? I don't have a bad temper," Bloom scoffed, though she easily fallen back into a smile. "Okay, maybe I do and it's just a little."
"And from what I heard sis, uncle Oritel and aunt Marion had admitted to mum and dad that they want to know more about how to be parents or something like that. From what I'd understood is that they're still new to the idea of being parents," Harry pointed out.
"Right. Daphne was about three-years-old and I was barely a newborn." Bloom face-palmed—forgetting that her birthparents hadn't had much time to being parents with Daphne and Bloom who were babies at the time and being older girls.
"They're just trying to make-up lost time," Harry told his sister.
"Since when are you a mister-wise guy," the redhead princess had joked. Soon the girl had rambled over about her foolish etiquettes that she might present while at the Gala where many other royal families will be attending and other important and famous people would be there.
Harry and Bloom had walked out from the bedroom into the living room awaiting the rest of the family members to appear as if finishing their final touches—though Daphne and their cousin were sitting on the sofa waiting most patiently.
Harry and Bloom gazed out the window to see to their utter surprise a large amount of majestic people—dressed in stunning gowns, suites, and robes—this was nothing they had ever seen in their life. The manor gleamed as its doors were wide open welcoming the foreign guest from all across the multi-dimensions.
The redhead princess swallowed hardly, feeling butterflies fill her stomach entirely. She was definitely nervous and what had made it worse was this going to be televised. Okay. Bloom was beyond anxious. (Though she was utterly thankful to Lockette who had decided to give Bloom moral comfort
A firm hand was placed on Bloom's shoulder causing her to be startled—giving a little jump—as she turned to see her parents who were dressed regally.
"A little anxious, sweetheart?" James questioned, seeing the expression his daughter wore on her face.
"More likely tensed and worried. . . and. . . I think that's about it. Just don't want to do anything foolish. . ." Bloom spoke, slightly feeling discomfort by the press and all those who were watching and those who gossiped.
Lily sat next to her children as her green eyes had softened—completely understanding Bloom's feelings to her new surroundings, but she very well know that Bloom would overcome her fear and anxiety. Lily had believed that her daughter wouldn't do anything foolish, but she would be more than fine.
"Don't worry sweetie, you'll be fine I know so," Lily emphasized as she grabbed a hold of her little girl's hands in her and squeezed it for comfort. Bloom leaned her head against Lily's arm. "Thanks mum that really reassures me."
King Oritel and Queen Marion were the first to step out of the vehicle instantly greeted by press and paparazzi—snapping many photos. The entire crowds' eyes had fallen on the Dominian couple who hadn't been seen in about a decade since the Ancestral Witches attack on their planet.
Most people had grew speechless, just by their mere appearance in public's eyes again as if they were in disbelief. Some had wondered were in the Great Dragon had they disappeared to for all these?
"Presenting the return of King Oritel and Queen Marion of Domino!"
Princesses Daphne and Bloom had stepped out, appearing by their parents side as the announcer (the high head of the Magix Council) had continued to speak in a loud and booming voice—making sure the older wizard had grabbed everyone's attention. Lockette, the small pixie, had fluttered besides Bloom as if trying to lessen her bonded fairy's worry.
". . . And presenting the daughters of King Oritel and Queen Marion, Princesses Daphne and Bloom!"
No one in the entire Magic Dimension hadn't gotten the glimpse of the youngest princess. Their eyes had fallen on the princesses as some swooned over seeing the girls for the first time in ages. Even Princess Daphne hadn't made much of her appearance in her toddler years as Oritel had wanted to protect his family from publicity at the time of the heightened war—fearing for his family's precious lives.
(Although royal society had understood King Oritel's reasoning despite wanting to see the royal heirs of the Dominian kingdom).
The announcer had continued to present Lord and Lady Lovell and their three sons, Lord and Lady Potter also as Princess Bloom's adoptive parents, along with their son Harry.
Sirius and Remus had never seen such an overwhelming (but yet magnificent) sight until now. Sirius had spotted Regulus and their uncle Alphard (who was holding his youngest grandson's hand) who seemed to be rather used to seeing such a sight that it was only normal to them.
Regulus had informed Moony and Padfoot not to give in to the temptation of answering each and every single question as it would only slow them down from the grand entrance.
Author's Note
I'm sorry for being a few days late! This chapter, well, it'd been like forcefully pulling teeth from my gums to write! I had modified this chapter several times, which was why it'd took longer for me to post!
Anyways, I believe that next chapter would wrap the end to summer (before settling back on Earth again) and what way to end it as a huge gala or something like that and I've taken this as an opportunity for Oritel and Marion to make their appearance back to the public of the MD!
Oh yes before I forget to say this, Bloom will be meeting Sky, Thoren, Brandon, Diaspro, Crystal, (Helia- wasn't he a childhood friend of Crystal) and Galatea! (Maybe there was a reason for the whole Gala thing that I threw in at last minute lol). I'm welcomened to any ideas of suggestion as to how it'll play out next chapter!
Can't wait to see Year 2 (The Chambers of Secrets) but of course that book had frustrated me a lot and there was a lot a missing plot holes in there. So I'm already planning to make things happen differently than in canon lol! And we'll be seeing the Weasleys soon and of course Lucius and Narcissa will both make their appearance!
As for Deception another HP/WC fanfic, the first chapter will most likely be up by Feb. 6th, due to some arrangements as it was originally planned to be released by the 1st of the month. I'll try so hard not to procrastinate as I'm already working on the first chapter, but if I do, it'd be due to school.
I hope you had enjoyed this chapter!
Like always please leave your reviews and comments down below! I really do appreciate it and love to hear your thoughts about it!
