Robotnik and Junior were looking through some video footage of the Freedom Fighters. Junior finally found the only real video they had on Bunnie Rabbot, the southern belle cyborg of the team. "Junior, I have an idea on how to bring the complete downfall of the entire Freedom Fighters, using Snively's armor, and that half-robot, Bunnie." He grinned evilly.
Junior smirked back. "Alright then, let's get started."
Later, in the Great Forest…
"Are you sure its safe to have an outdoor Barbecue, Sonic?" Tails asked as he set the picnic table. It was a nice, sunny day, perfect for a picnic.
"Sure! Sally and 'Twan are watching the skies for Robotnik's ships!" Sonic smiled as he helped Collin with the grill he had made of hot stones since Rotor was using their large stone grill for a pot. "So, what's cooking anyway, guys?"
"I'm just cooking up some chilidogs for you boys and a couple of things like that." Collin shrugged as he prepped the food. He was wearing his cloak that day, though only because he didn't feel like wearing his armor all the time. It needed some fine tuning anyway, and the armor was warm in the summer sun anyway.
"And Since you guys don't like my Mobian Mush, I'm trying something new…" Sonic looked in Rotor's pot and instantly regretted it. "Barbecued Mobian Mush!"
Collin raised a brow. "Right… cooking lessons for Rotor gotta start, otherwise Antoine, Sally, and myself will be the only ones able to cook at this rate."
Bunnie came along with a metal ladle in hand. "Here's the ladle you asked for, Rotor." Only for it to be pulled by an invisible energy out of her hand. "Huh?!"
Rotor's pot as well as the grates from the grills went flying. "Duck everyone!" the walrus shouted.
"There goes the mush!" Sonic noted as the pot spilled while flying.
"What's happening?" Bunnie cried out as she felt herself being lifted off as well.
"It looks like everything made of metal is flying away, Dudes!" Sonic realized.
"No kidding?" Collin had already undone his cloak and had managed to tie it to Bunnie and himself. He grabbed a passing tree as the metal that made up Bunnie's robot half started to send her flying.
"HELP!" She cried while holding onto the cloak.
Collin's grasp slipped and he lost hold of the tree. "Little help here!" He called out as the duo flew through the woods.
"Something's pulling them towards the edge of the Great Forest!" Sonic noticed as he started after them.
"Talk about a Hare-raising experience!" Bunnie's eyes widened as she realized she was flying.
Collin merely gritted his teeth and tried to brace himself for another nearby tree should the opportunity arise again.
"I'd better juice and get there before Bunnie and Collin do." Sonic sped off, barely passing the duo when he saw one of the largest robots ever.
Inside of the large red robot with a giant magnet on the front of it, was Robotnik and Junior! "My Magnabot is a great invention, Junior! And once I've captured the rabbit and Snively, the other freedom Fighters will try to rescue them…"
"And we'll catch them all, Pops!" The punk like robot grinned.
Sonic eyes widened in shock. "It's one of Robotnik's giant 'bots! And it's got a super electromagnet!"
"THANK YOU FOR STATING THE OBVIOUS, SONIC!" Sonic turned and saw Collin and Bunnie holding onto a large tree, which, thanks to Collin, tied the two of them together so quickly, the cloak was helping them to hold on. "This won't last forever!"
"Sonic, we can't hold on much longer!" Her lower half was still being pulled by the magnet, as was her right arm. Collin was barely holding the two of them down as he was, along with the help of the tree.
"Right! I've got to find a way to eliminate the magnetic field!" Some metal can hit him on the head, which gave him an idea. "I've got to watch out for flying metal… wait… flying metal… That's it!" He grabbed a flying trash can lid and ran just out of the boundaries of the magnet's field. "Yo, Robotnik!" He called, getting the attention of the two in the giant robot. "Don't tell me you built that hunk of junk to catch one little rabbit and a small overlander? Why don't you try to catch me?"
"It's Sonic, Pops! He's got a metal object, but he's out of the magnet's range. Should I widen it now, and catch him?"
"NO! Wait till I say so, then turn the bot around quickly and crank up the power!"
"C'mon, Robotnik! I'm making it easy for you!" Sonic teased.
"Now?" Junior asked.
"Not yet!" Robotnik snapped back.
"Okay, have it your way, Crude Dude! I'll just stroll on back home…" Sonic turned. Collin managed a small grin as he saw what Junior and Robotnik were going to miss.
"NOW, Junior! Turn the field up full force, and get him!"
"He's moving, Pops, but I've got him in sight!" Junior responded.
Robotnik finally saw the danger as the robot kept moving. "WAIT, Junior! Don't follow him! STOP!"
"Missed me!" Sonic chuckled as he sped away, dropping the metal lid as he went to check up on Bunnie and Collin.
"Oh, NO!" Robotnik howled as a large number of metal objects of various shapes and sizes came towards them. "He got us to face Robotropolis… and everything made of metal is heading our way!" The magnet bot was covered in various pieces of junk from his own city. "Junior… they did it again… I… I…"
Junior sighed as he started the shut down sequence. "I know, Pops. You hate that hedgehog…"
Meanwhile, Bunnie, Collin, and Sonic were walking away. Collin readjusted his cloak as they went while Sonic chuckled. "Let's go, guys. When Robotnik digs his way out, he can hold a junk sale!"
Back in Knothole…
Rotor was just finishing up coating Bunnie in a special liquid solution. "I'm coating you in a special solution, Bunnie! Now, no magnet will be able to attract you!" Rotor grinned.
Bunnie sighed in relief. "Thanks, Sugah… but ah never thought ah'd want my magnetic personality to be unattractive!" She joked. Everyone joined in on the laughter, relieved that it had all turned out so well. Collin took what was left over of the solution for his armor.
