Hey guys. Sorry about promising to update and then just ditching. The 13th we had just gotten back from a Weekend Winter camp and I was really tired, and our wifi went down for a few days so that's why I missed that update. And this is the one that was supposed to be posted two days ago, but I've been getting ready for a Speech and Debate Tournament, and I was hit with heavy writer's block for this. Which is also why I'm not doing the Part 2 for "You've Got A Friend In Me" yet. I'm really bad about updating when I don't have stuff prewritten, so I'm going to try and prewrite some stuff these next few days and we'll see how that goes. Thanks for bearing with me. And shout-out to Fantasygirl1329 for helping me choose the prompt for this one-shot.

Review Replies:

Fantasygirl1329: Haha. You know me, I love my angst. But I tried to make up for it by making this one funny. Also, I was totally just picturing what your responses would be in this situation for what Dick should say for this whole thing, so enjoy that. (Yeah, I appreciate that. And if I miss an update just pester me until I get it done. Or ask me on Sunday if I have it ready for Monday. =P Hopefully that will keep me on track)

Jeskifire: Thanks! It's good to be back. Great, I was hoping the readers would be able to see the flashbacks. Glad to see you stuck around to keep reading this. I appreciate it. :)

Rating: K+

Time-Line: Season 1

Genre: Humor, Friendship

Summary: Dick is well-rested and Wally is sleep deprived. A very interesting and unusual combination.

Dick was in his room practicing some hacks on his laptop. It was after midnight but he had gotten several full nights of sleep the last few days so he was feeling very well energized, despite the late hour. But because of this rare occurrence of being fully rested, it seemed fate had to reverse the roles and Wally West hadn't slept in 3 days. How had this happened you may ask? Flash was on a league mission leaving Wally to take care of Central for a few days. Double that with homework, school, and regular team training, and it didn't leave much room for sleep. Flash had left Wednesday morning and it was now Friday night. (Or Saturday morning I guess, seeing as it was 3 A.M.) And Flash would be getting back in a few hours.

Dick heard a thud on his door and jumped. The thud was followed by a groan. He was about to open his door and see what was making all the noise when he heard the little beep of his keypad being unlocked and the door swung opened, leaving his red-headed best friend sprawled on the floor.

"Um...Wally?"

"Mmph."

"Are you ok?"

"Mrph."

Dick crouched down and poked at the speedster who's eyes bolted open as soon as Dick's finger connected with his side and Dick went flying back, surprised when Wally's fist met his jaw. Dick sat in stunned silence for a moment as he watched the speedster blearily try to get his bearings. He carefully got up and approached his best friend, crouching beside him once more. "Dude, you whelmed yet?" Waly just groaned in reply.

"Di-? Thaw you 'ere a ba' guy,' he slurred.

Dick rolled his eyes, slinging Wally's arm around his shoulder, and hauling him into a standing position.

"Why'r you in'my room?"

"I'm not. You're in my room."

"But I un'ocked 'a door."

"Yup. You unlocked my door."

"Oh."

Dick guided Wally over to the bed where he promptly collapsed, face-first, onto it. "Wally?"

"Mmm?"

"When was the last time you slept?"

"Mwuhaymiif?"

"What?"

"Mwaayifiuh?

"I can't understand you when you're talking into the bed, Wally."

"mwha 'ay is it?

"It's Saturday."

"Flash back?"

"No, he doesn't come back till like 2, I think."

"Wha' 'ime is it?"

"3."

"One 'or hour?"

"No Wally. 2 P.M. It's 3 A.M."

"Oh."

"You never answered my question."

"Wha' 'estin?"

"When was the last time you slept?"

"I 'on't know...Wenday or somthin'."

"...Wally."

"Mrrm?

"It's Saturday."

"ah?"

"You haven't slept for 3 days?"

"Mmhmm."

"How are you even still awake at this point?"

"I 'on't know."

"This has got to be some kind of record for speedsters staying awake this long."

"Mmm...tired."

"I bet. Why did you stay awake for 3 days?"

"Flash gone...patrol and 'tuff."

"Dude, you can barely have a coherent conversation. How were you out fighting baddies?"

"bad 'uys are mean...I 'on't like 'em."

"Well, that's kind of why they're called bad guys."

"I 'on't like 'em...one was pokin' 'ee."

"One was poking you?"

"Yeah...I punched 'em 'ough."

"Wally?"

"Yeah?"

"That was me."

"Oh..." there was a beat of silence. "Dick?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you a 'ad guy 'ow?"

"What? Of course not."

"But I punched you 'cause you 'ere a bad guy."

"No, you thought I was a bad guy. That's why you punched me."

"Oh." Silence. Dick thought maybe Wally had finally drifted off to sleep. "Dick?" No such luck.

"Yeah, Walls?"

"Did'jou poke me?"

"Yeah, a while ago." Wally sat up suddenly, staring at him wide-eyed.

"That means you'r a bad 'uy?"

"What? No!"

"Then why'I punched you?"

"Because you thought I was a bad guy."

"Why?"

"Because I poked you."

"Why?"

"To make sure you weren't dead."

"...ok." A beat. "Dick?"

"Yes, Wally?"

"Am I dead?" Dick groaned in frustration.

"You will be if you keep asking questions and don't go to sleep right now."

"Oh...I 'on't wanna be 'ead."

"Then I suggest you go to sleep."

"M'kay..." Wally laid back down and buried his face in one of Dick's pillows. Dick sighed, thinking the speedster had finally crashed and he opened his laptop again to start working. The silence had lasted no more than 5 minutes when Dick heard a groan.

"Uncle Barry?"

"Sorry, Walls. He won't be back for a few more hours."

"Dick?"

"Yeah."

"When' you 'et 'ere?"

"I've been here."

"Oh...why'r 'ou in my 'oom?"

"Because we're in my room."

"I 'ought I 'ent to I room."

"Nope. Somehow you came to my room. You put the code in and everything."

"Oh." Wally drifted off again leaving Dick to believe that now he was down for the count. But not even 3 minutes later, Dick heard another groan, but this time it sounded more like a groan of pain or discomfort.

"You okay Walls?" He groaned again, curling in on himself. "Wally?"

"M'ungry."

Dick mentally smacked himself. "When was the last time you ate?"

"Lunch or somthin'."

"Crap." Dick muttered.

"Alfred 'on't like 'ou swearin'." Dick just face-palmed.

"Alright, come on Wally," Dick said, grabbing his arm and dragging him into a standing position.

"Where we goin'?"

"To the kitchen, to get you some food."

"We goin' on a adventure?"

"Sure."

"Love adventures."

"Yup, I'm sure," Dick said as he dragged him into the kitchen in Mt. Justice. Wally's eyes widened.

"Food?"

"Yes, Wally. Food." Dick had Wally sit at one of the barstools at the counter while he pulled out all the leftovers he could find and started heating them up, along with a few microwavable meals. And 10 minutes later he was placing it in front of Wally. Wally had fallen asleep with his face laying on his hands which were rested on the countertop. Dick poked him. "Wally." no response. "Wally," he poked him again. This time he got the desired reaction of the speedster bolting into a sitting position, but before he could attack him thinking he was a bad guy again, he placed a hand on top of Wally's. (mainly to make sure it didn't fly out and try to it him again) "Food's ready, Walls."

"So 'ungry."

"Yeah, I bet." He said, pushing the food towards the half-conscious teen. Despite his less-than-coherent stage, Wally inhaled the food in under 5 minutes, and immediately nestled his head back into his arms, resting on the counter, no-doubt intending on falling asleep. "Wally, come on."

"Mmph."

Dick all but dragged him from where he was resting on the barstool, and lead him towards the bedrooms. "Can you change on your own?" Wally grumbled something about not being a baby before, walking into his own room, and changing in under ten seconds, before slowly opening his door to reveal his exhausted-looking form. He was clad in red Flash pajamas and he had deep bruise-like markings under his eyes, contrasting starkly against his pale skin and vibrant green eyes.

"Can I sleep 'ith 'ou?" The sleep-deprived speedster asked, shoulders sagging, trying to just stay standing.

"Of course buddy." By the time Robin had gotten ready for bed, Wally was already curled up in his bed asleep. He climbed silently into bed turning the lights off. He heard more than saw, Wally shift over to face him.

"'ight Dick."

He chuckled. "Good-night Wally." And Wally finally fell asleep.
