To the Guest Reviewer, please stop posting a review asking for Arella, because that is never going to happen, so get used to it. To T-Bone, I'll think about having the Mandalorian armor upgrade like how it was done in The Mandalorian, which I am all caught up with right now. I am not sure if that will happen, though. Not sure about Lois Lane and Jimmy traveling to the Expanded Universe, so that's out there. I don't think I could try to bring in Perdita to the Expanded Universe. Not sure about bringing Barriss into the Dark Disciple story either. The idea about Monika and Saand'ra on Shei'Ten Kar sounds like an interesting idea, but I'll have to think about it, so no promises. I don't think I'll have Batman build a secret BatCave. Yejyo Vanzig takes over Tan Divo's role, so that idea about him is also out there. Thanks for the ideas, though, and as usual, news on everything DC and Star Wars unfortunately, though, due to my limited TV Access, I have not seen much of Crisis On Infinite Earths, even though I really want to see it. I have not yet seen Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, though, but I will later on with my family either today or tomorrow. Now, with all reviews out of the way, here is my brand-new special Chapter, also a lead-in to a new Story I will be doing. Please enjoy!
Chapter 29: Legacy of Justice
Seize the day, for there is no time like the present.
Arvana-7…
Asomei M'orzz ran through the forest with her lightsaber in her hand. She panted as she looked around, trying to find the source of the sound that caught her while she was making her transmission. Finally, she heard several beeps and stopped. She backed up before feeling around with the Force. Finally, she relaxed and placed her hilt across her face, waiting as the sound grew louder.
At that moment, a red futuristic probe droid flew over, blasting at Asomei. Asomei activated her green lightsaber and deflected the blasts, using a backhand variation of the Whirlwind of Destiny. She used the Force to grab the Probe Droid before slashing it to the ground. It was about to fire again until she stepped on its blaster, causing the cannon to power down.
Asomei panted and picked up the Probe Droid. She looked into it before connecting some wires to her gauntlet. As soon as she was connected, a holo-map appeared, and she started to press on her keyboard.
"Nice diversion, Stormrunner," Asomei said. "I'll admit, I thought you found me out, but then again, you were always too smart for us."
At that moment, a small hologram of Jaune Stormrunner appeared. "You flatter me, Padawan M'orzz," he said. "Don't bother tracking my signal. New Republic Tech is ensured to be obsolete in time travel. Surely, Han told you this."
"As did General Organa," Asomei replied, unwavering from what she was doing. "But whoever said I was tracking your signal?" she asked. "No, there's something better I'm doing, something to ensure that you'll be found quicker."
Bracca…
Jaune Stormrunner stopped running towards the port, wondering what Asomei meant. All of a sudden, he sensed something, and looked to his holo-transmitter. To his surprise, Wanted Posters of him were being spread to every Planet. He chuckled as his TIE Corruptor flew over.
"Impressive, I expected much from the one to rival Dajik Ren," Jaune said. "But I don't intend on going down so easily.
"That's what you said on Lotho Minor," Asomei said back on Arvana-7. "Whether you like it or not, I'm going to find you."
Jaune Stormrunner grinned. "We'll see." He said before his transmission ended.
Asomei raised an eyebrow before hearing a ticking noise. She looked to the Probe Droid before seeing a red light blinking. She gasped and flew back, where her Jedi Bio-Fighter flew to her. Scooping her into the cockpit, she flew off, just as the Droid exploded, leaving a crater in the ground.
"Too close," Asomei said. She looked to her Data Log and scrolled through the Planets. "Didn't say I was tracking where your signal was while I was putting out your rap sheet," she mused before entering the coordinates for a moving red dot on the map. "Let's dance, Stormrunner," she quipped before looking to her Ball Droid. "J3-D1, make the Jump!"
J3-D1 beeped and activated the Hyperdrive, taking them into Hyperspace. As they did, Asomei closed her eyes, and her skin turned to green.
LEGACY OF JUSTICE
"HONOR BOUND"
Over Coruscant, aboard the Ruination, Ahsoka was with Miss Martian, Katooni, and several Clone Troopers, each with their helmets off.
Katana walked over from the Arrowhead and looked to Serra. "I did a sweep on the Arrowhead, as promised," she said. "Got a few scratches from bashing into ships, but she'll still fly," she reported before looking to Ahsoka. "Mind telling me what's going on here?" she asked.
"Ahsoka's about to give a lesson," Serra said. "Come on with me, and we'll watch."
Ahsoka looked to Captain Rex. "You're sure your men are willing to do this?" she asked.
"They all volunteered," Captain Rex confirmed. "But not me. You know I have a bad experience with this thing."
"Back on Teth, I remember you telling me that," Ahsoka recalled. "Thank you for being modest with me."
"Any time, General." Captain Rex said with a nod.
The Young Justice watched as Ahsoka made her way back to M'gann and Katooni.
"Um, Ahsoka?" Miss Martian asked. "Look, I know that Katooni needs this lesson, but what am I here for?" she asked as two Clone Troopers walked up. "I don't think I need this too."
"No offense, M'gann, but even though you are a Martian with telepathic powers, you'll need to learn the Mind Trick," Ahsoka said. "While Martian powers are useful, you never know when you have to stop relying on them. All Jedi must trust in the Force."
"I'm actually excited to learn this," Katooni said. "I've seen you do it so many times."
"It's not an easy task," Ahsoka said as she placed her hand on her hip. "You need to have a calm mind, a center, in order for it to work. Otherwise, you won't be able to pull it off," she said before looking to one of the two Clone Troopers. She cleared her mind and held her hand out. "Now, watch," she said before waving it across. "You will lay down your weapon." She said in a calm voice.
The Clone Trooper remained still for a moment before entering a trance-like state. "I will lay down my weapon." He repeated before placing his blaster on the ground. As soon as he did, Ahsoka looked to him and smiled, to which he smiled back, before he picked up his weapon and went back to join the rest of the volunteers.
"That was one of the ways a Mind Trick can be used," Ahsoka said. "But it can only be used against those with a weak mind. If you try to do it against someone with a strong mind, or someone else with the Force, it will not work. You have to be calm and collected. Your own mind must be clear for it to work, so as to ensure that the only goal you want your victim to perform is the only one on both of your minds."
Katooni looked on in awe. "Wow," she said. "Now that you said it… I'm not sure if I could pull it off."
"Give it your best shot," Ahsoka said as the second Clone Trooper stepped forward. "Think of a simple command, then clear your mind, and have Trek perform it."
"Okay," Katooni said with a nod. She stepped up, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. After a while, she stepped up and waved her hand out. "You want to go to sleep right now." She said in a calm voice.
Trek, just like the first volunteer Clone Trooper, entered a trance-like state. "I want to go to sleep right now." He said before falling to the ground unconscious.
Ahsoka and M'gann looked down. "Wow," the Togruta Jedi Knight said. "Not the command I was expecting, but a good job nonetheless," she complimented Katooni, causing her to smile and blush. She looked to Fives. "Can you… take Trek somewhere he can rest?" she asked.
"Of course, Sir." Fives said, picking up Trek's body and taking him away.
Serra and Artemis chuckled, something which Miss Martian could only roll her eyes at.
Ahsoka took notice of what Miss Martian was doing and smirked. "Don't look so overconfident there," she warned, getting her Martian friend to turn back to her. "Even for someone like you, this can be difficult."
"Oh, you sure?" Miss Martian asked.
Ahsoka grinned before gesturing to Tup. "Try on Tup here," she said as Tup stepped up. "Use it on him. If you think this is so easy, you should be able to get him to do what you want without any trouble."
M'gann's eyes widened. "Um… okay," she said before stepping up. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "What do I want? What do I want?" she asked herself quietly.
"I'm ready when you are, Sir." Tup said.
"I'm thinking, I'm thinking…" Miss Martian said, keeping her eyes closed.
"Just take your time, Sir," Tup said, causing Miss Martian to clench her fist impatiently. "I'm sure you'll—"
"You will shut up!" Miss Martian exclaimed, swinging her arm across Tup's face, hitting him only with her fingers.
Everyone looked on as Tup looked back. "Sorry, Sir," she said. "I… didn't mean to cause any anxiety."
Miss Martian's eyes went wide. She looked to her hand and repeated her breaths. "You will crush your helmet." She said as best as she could.
Tup looked on, as if he were about to enter a trance-like state. After a while, he snapped out of it. "I'm sorry, Sir," he said once again. "Was… was I supposed to follow through with that command?"
Miss Martian looked to her hands again before letting out a frustrated growl. "Oh, son of a—"
"M'gann, language!" Ahsoka yelled, getting Miss Martian to stop. "Look, I told you, it's not as easy as it looks, and not even your telepathic powers can master the Jedi Mind Trick, but it's nothing to go to war over."
M'gann sighed. "I'm sorry," she said. "I just… I just thought it would be easy. I never had any idea that it would be so difficult to pull off."
"It's okay," Ahsoka said as she and Katooni walked over. "Not everyone can master every Force Trick so easily. It took me a while to get the Mind Trick done the right way too. You just need practice."
Miss Martian sighed and pulled back her hair, revealing a braid by the back of her hair. "Sometimes, I wonder if I should have never put this on," she said. "I mean, shouldn't I be past a Padawan level?"
"You're too old to be a Youngling, so a Padawan is where you start, just like I did." Ahsoka said.
"Don't worry," Anakin said as he walked over. "You'll get the hang of it."
Ahsoka looked to her Master. "Skyguy," she said with a smile. "Good to see you."
"Yeah, I wish I could say the same for what I'm headed to," Anakin said as he watched Mace Windu and Obi-Wan head towards a room. "I have to be present for the Republic and Separatist Meeting."
"So soon?" Ahsoka asked as the Young Justice got back up. "You're sure you can be in there without causing any trouble?"
"To be honest, no," Anakin said. "But… I think I'd have better luck with some better company." He said, smiling at Ahsoka.
Ahsoka smiled. "Sure thing," she said. "We'll keep you in check."
Lux grinned. "Did you even have to ask?" he asked.
In the Conference Room, the Young Justice all stood by and watched as Obi-Wan and Mace Windu were talking with Count Dooku, as well as other Separatist Generals. Anakin stood with the Young Justice, all quietly as they spoke.
"Master Kenobi, I am sure you realize by now, that our Alliance to capture Darth Maul has only lasted for a short while," Count Dooku said through his holographic transmission. "Since it had started suddenly, we have not had the time to negotiate over certain… privileges, for both sides."
"Yes, I agree, Count," Obi-Wan said, placing his hand to his chin. "Though Confederacy Senators have been allowed on Coruscant to represent the Separatist Alliance, the concerns of the citizens of the Republic have been growing."
"Which is why we must discuss our terms at the Senate," Padmé said in her own holographic transmission. "Ever since I have returned from Earth, I have been asked numerous times about the alliance we have made. I only hope we can keep this going for as long as I hope."
"I will be heading to Coruscant myself," Count Dooku said, to which the other Senators and Delegates of the Separatists nodded. "We will discuss further matters once I arrive."
"And for the better of both sides," Anakin finally spoke up, stepping forward. "I would like to distance myself from the arrangements. I have made enemies on both sides, and my presence might disturb this alliance."
"Skywalker…" Mace Windu started out, causing everyone to look to him. Finally, he placed a hand on his shoulder. "You are learning. I am proud that you have made this decision by yourself."
"Agreed," Nute Gunray said. "In deference, I think it would be best to lessen the involvement of the Jedi with this meeting."
"He's really committed to having this Alliance more than before, I see," Katana whispered to Ahsoka. "What do you think changed with him?"
"Probably the victories we have gained ever since the Republic and the Separatists joined forces to defeat Darth Maul and the Shadow Collective," Ahsoka replied back. "To be honest, I don't think we could have gained our victory over Lothal or Earth without them, no matter how many reinforcements we had, from both the Jedi and the new members we gained here in the Expanded Universe."
"Good point," Miss Martian said. She looked to Ahsoka and smiled. "A lot of good things have happened here since we arrived, you know. I'm glad we came."
"So am I," Ahsoka said. "Good to have you all here."
"I have had skirmishes with both the Republic and the Separatists before I settled on my allegiance," Lux Bonteri spoke up. "I will not participate in this to represent Onderon."
"If that is what you wish, Senator Bonteri," Padmé said before looking to everyone else. "We will begin meetings in the next twenty-four hours."
"Until then, we will keep in touch." Obi-Wan said before everyone signed off.
"You've come a long way, Skyguy." Ahsoka said, walking over to Anakin.
"I'm still against having the Separatists on our side," Anakin said. "But I have to do what is necessary to ensure that this lasts as long as it can," he stated. "At least, until we catch Darth Maul."
"Yes," Mace Windu said. "He and the Shadow Collective aboard the Ruination could be anywhere in the Galaxy at this point."
"In that case, we have to widen our search," Obi-Wan said as the holo-transmitter turned on again behind him. "We have to—"
"Master Kenobi, we have another urgent matter at hand." Padmé said.
Everyone looked to Padmé with surprise. "What's going on, Chancellor?" Robin asked.
"Look at this," Padmé said before the screen switched to several holographic rap sheets with the face of Jaune Stormrunner on them. "This was sent out to all sides, all Planets, literally moments after we ended our transmission," she said. "What do you know about this Jaune Stormrunner?"
"Let me see," Serra said as she, Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Mace Windu all looked to the holographic images. "Can't say I know anything about him."
"Never heard of him either," Ahsoka added on while the Young Justice looked to each other worryingly. "Someone new must have placed this bounty on him."
"Please find him, and if he is as dangerous as the person who put the bounty on him claims to be, ensure that he is found and brought for trial," Padmé said. "I have already alerted Yejyo and the rest of the 31st Crime Investigatory about the matter. It is only a matter of time before he comes to us."
"Will do, Chancellor," Aqualad said. "We just need to figure out what his goal is first."
"Do you think he could be with the Shadow Collective?" Katooni asked.
"I don't know," Ahsoka said. "But we need to keep a lookout. Another party is something we really don't need right now."
Meanwhile, on Bracca, several Death Watch Devils were looking at the damage to the Ruination. Darth Maul watched from outside with Lady Shiva and Komari Vosa by his side.
"Our failure on Crait will not be ignored," Lady Shiva said. "I don't know how the Allied Forces could have created a vessel capable of countering our firepower, but they have not damaged the Ruination completely."
"So there's a bright side to this, after all." Komari Vosa added on, trying to be optimistic.
"On a more positive note, we now know that the Allied Forces have ways to counter our new weapon," Darth Maul said. "The more we know, the better. Knowing is only half the battle."
At that moment, Tiber Saxon flew over. "Lord Maul, we have finished analyzing the damage," he said. "Suffice it to say, we managed to escape unharmed, but it will take a while for the Ruination to be fully operational again."
"So I see," Darth Maul said. "We must be patient. Any foolhardy attempts will only result in more failures."
Lady Shiva nodded before she noticed the new lightsaber hilt at her Master's belt. "Forgive me for saying so, Master," she spoke up. "But… where did you get that lightsaber?"
Darth Maul turned around and raised an eyebrow. He looked to the new lightsaber hilt and picked it up. "It came to me as a gift," he explained. "Someone by the name of Stormrunner left this on the Ruination," he went on. "I personally saw to it that there were no trick wirings to it, that it was not a means of tracking us by the Allied Forces or even a bomb. It seems to be a most powerful weapon."
"So it seems," Komari Vosa said. "I look forward to meeting this Stormrunner, whoever he is."
"As do I," Darth Maul said, activating the lightsaber to reveal its dark crimson blades. "As do I."
Near the perimeter of the Ruination, Rook Kast was standing guard with several of the Death Watch Devil Commandos, as well as Bemulaire with several of her Vaapad Rage members. The latter sat down on a metal stub, pounding some salt from out of her boot.
"To think we could have razed the heart of the Republic by now," Rook Kast mused. "Now, we are forced to repair, to once again add extra defenses to our war Machine!"
"Look at it this way," Bemulaire said, pounding out the last of the salt from her boot. She looked inside of it and breathed, but recoiled in disgust before placing it back on, now hopping on one foot. "Ahsoka Tano could have easily destroyed us. Now, we have a chance to return the favor."
"No matter how many times we grow stronger, the Ruination always pays the price!" Rook Kast exclaimed.
"Yeah," Bemulaire said, rolling her eyes as she finally fitted her boot back onto her foot. "We've all heard it at least a million times today. Doing so a million more won't do anything to change our situation." She said before pulling on her boot.
"Aren't you supposed to be the pretty one?" Rook Kast asked.
Bemulaire stopped and aimed her claymore hilt at Rook Kast's neck. "First, thank you for finally being the one to make this noticeable distinction," she said. "And second, it's not all about the looks for me. I'm more perceptive than you think."
"Yes, I'm sure you are," Rook Kast said before hearing some footsteps. "What was that?" he asked, turning around and taking out her blasters.
"I heard it too," Bemulaire said, motioning for her women to get their lightsabers ready. "Whoever's there, come out!" she yelled.
At that moment, Jaune Stormrunner emerged from the fog, almost as if her were a part of the fog itself. He grinned as he approached, the Obelisk safe in his hands.
"Hands up!" Rook Kast ordered. "And put that thing down!"
"This isn't the Way, now is it?" Jaune Stormrunner asked. "I thought you guys were all honorable."
Rook Kast narrowed her eyes as her visor lowered. "No one's used that phrase in years." He stated.
"I don't meant to harm you," Jaune said. "I only wish to speak with your Master… the Shadow Hunter."
"Darth Maul's codename." Bemulaire said.
"State your business!" Rook Kast ordered. "Name and rank!"
"How about… I explain it all to him?" Jaune Stormrunner asked, revealing a device on his collar. "If I'm shot, stabbed or killed/knocked unconscious in any way, this will send a signal to the Republic, the Separatists and the ORDER, and they'll take you all down in seconds. I have the high ground here, ladies and gents… at least, that's what I'm supposed to believe," he added on. "Never really understood all that high ground stuff."
Bemulaire narrowed her eyes at the newcomer suspiciously. "You know him by codename, you know 'The Way'," she said. "But unless you know him by other means, I don't trust you enough to meet him without being under heavy guard."
"Well, if that's the only way you can trust me, so be it," Jaune said. "I have no problems with anyone who has their suspicions."
Bemulaire looked to Rook Kast, who sent her a nod. She nodded back before the two motioned for their soldiers to keep their weapons aimed at Jaune Stormrunner carefully.
"Follow us," Rook Kast ordered. "And don't try anything."
"Fine by me," Jaune said. "I don't intend on going anywhere at the moment."
"Come on." Bemulaire ordered, leading Jaune Stormrunner to meet with Darth Maul.
At this time, the Jedi Bio-Fighter emerged from Hyperspace. Inside, Asomei looked around on her scanners. Looking up ahead, she could see the junk Planet of Raxus Prime. She sighed before J3-D1 beeped nervously.
"I know, J3, and I'm sorry for dropping out of Hyperspace here," Asomei apologized. "But we wasted half our fuel chasing Stormrunner, and we can't afford to go any further until we refuel, and I'm saving our reserves for the blade," she said. A few more beeps came from J3 in response. "Don't worry, the Bio-Fighter is still in good shape, and no, we're not staying here. There's enough for at least two more Jumps. Our best bet is to make it to Coruscant. Stormrunner was smart enough to scramble his signal in five different quadrants, but if Martha taught me anything, the bad guys always leave a pattern," she said. "Sooner we capture Stormrunner, the sooner we can go back." She said before engaging the Hyperdrive again.
J3 beeped once again.
"Tehar was close, and so was Crait, yes," Asomei replied. "But you know what they say, 'make a plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan'. This is hoping the plan doesn't go that route." She said before making the Jump once again.
As soon as Asomei took off, several black Fighters resembling Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, flew off after the Bio-Fighter, making an even faster Jump to Hyperspace.
On Bracca, Darth Maul continued to watch over the repairs to his Warship. As he was, Rook Kast and Bemulaire walked in, their troops still having their weapons aimed at Jaune Stormrunner.
"Lord Maul, there is someone here to see you," Rook Kast said. "He was very persistent about it too."
"Is that so?" Darth Maul asked. He turned around to have a look at Jaune Stormrunner. "What is your name?"
"Jaune Stormrunner," Jaune replied. He looked to the new lightsaber at Darth Maul's side. "I see you've gotten my lightsaber. You try it out yet?"
"What is he talking about?" One of the Vaapad Rage members asked in confusion.
Darth Maul raised an eyebrow. "That was your gift?" He asked. He looked to Rook Kast and Bemulaire. "Leave us." He ordered.
"Lord Maul?" Rook Kast asked, confused.
"You heard me." Darth Maul said sternly.
Rook Kast, Bemulaire, the Death Watch Devils and Vaapad Rage members all nodded before leaving the room, leaving Darth Maul alone with Jaune Stormrunner. With a flick of the Sith Lord's wrist, the cuffs around Jaune's wrists fell off.
"Thank you for that," Jaune said, feeling his wrists. "They're not as tight as I learned, but at least they don't belong to the Republic."
"Somehow, you managed to get onto my ship during the Battle of Crait, and only deliver to me a lightsaber, Stormrunner," Darth Maul said. He sat down in a chair, which Jaune did the same. "What is your business here?"
"Well, for one… the prism," Jaune replied. "You know, the one you used for Hell Saber."
Darth Maul narrowed his eyes. "What do you know of the Prism?" He asked.
"I have been here for a while now, a few years," Jaune explained. "See, that Prism powered by the Kyber Crystals you've collected? It's a Sith Artifact with power beyond your control. Originally, we intended to leave it for someone so they would be turned to the Dark Side, but your Apprentice got it first before that could happen, and while it's being used for its intended purpose overusing it too much will result in the death and premature end of you and your entire Shadow Collective."
Darth Maul raised an eyebrow. "Well, we can't have that," he said. "How do you know this?"
"I was the one who left it on Lothal in the first place," Jaune answered. "The Prism is powerful, but too much pressure on it will cause a feedback that can destroy you. That's why I'm here, to reclaim it and offer the alternate conductor that can act as something more powerful and much deadlier. Though I would not recommend using it too soon."
"What do you have?" Darth Maul asked.
Jaune grinned and took out the Obelisk Crystal. "This is the Obelisk," he explained. "Similar to the Sith Prism, and has a stronger endurance. Plus, it should give this Warship an extra layer of defense."
Darth Maul looked to the Obelisk, noticing its pitch black texture. "There is a tremendous amount of dark power within that… Obelisk," he noted. "How am I sure you are telling the truth here?"
"Because this Obelisk right here…" Jaune Stormrunner started out, using the Force to make it open up. "It harnesses the power of the Dark Side of the Force, so deep that not even a Jedi can control it."
Darth Maul narrowed his eyes and reached his hand out. The Obelisk flew into his hands, showing him a large holographic map, as well as new lightsaber forms and weapons of the Sith.
"Interesting," Darth Maul said. "Most promising."
"So," Jaune Stormrunner said, standing up. "Do we have a deal?"
Darth Maul walked towards the window and held his hand out. The Obelisk floated out while outside, the Prism detached from the front of the Ruination. The Obelisk soon took its place before the Prism flew into his hands. He turned around to Jaune Stormrunner and levitated the Prism to him.
"Yes," Darth Maul said. "We have a deal."
Jaune Stormrunner nodded and walked away.
"Was that… the only thing you wanted from me?"
Jaune Stormrunner stopped. "As a matter of fact, there is something else," he said. "A squadron of Vaapad Rage soldiers. I'm being traced by a meddlesome Jedi, and while my own forces are going to take care of her, I will need some more muscle, more of the Dark Side, to deal with her."
Darth Maul snapped his fingers, and several ninja-looking Vaapad Rage members leapt down from the ceiling. Jaune Stormrunner looked to them all before from outside the room, several large droids walked over.
"As long as that's all, I am happy to provide you with what you require." Darth Maul said.
Jaune Stormrunner grinned. "They'll do." He said.
Darth Maul grinned and sent a nod to the selected Vaapad Rage members he had chosen. They all nodded back before Jaune Stormrunner ran towards the window, where his TIE Corruptor flew over. The soldiers and the droids followed after him as he leapt right into the cockpit. Everyone watched as the ship expanded, allowing the extra forces to board. Soon, he took off, leaving Bracca behind.
In Hyperspace, Asomei continued to fly. As she did, she checked on her systems, seeing the fuel tank level on her monitor as it appeared on her holographic screen.
"Hold in there a little while longer, J3," Asomei said. "The next Planet we get to, we—"
Before Asomei could continue, the black Fighters dashed past her. She looked on in horror as she started to track their flight trajectory.
J3-D1 beeped nervously.
"Yeah, I saw them!" Asomei exclaimed. "Stormrunner, you bastard! I knew you played dirty, but this is low, even for you!" She cursed before her compartment door opened up. She grabbed her lightsaber and readied it. "Come on, J3!" She called out. "Let's get them!"
J3-D1 beeped once again, this time more frantically.
"You've caught the Vader Troopers?" Asomei asked. "Plug in their coordinates, and overdrive the systems! We have to get there first!"
J3-D1 beeped again and did as he was told. As he did, he chirped frantically once more.
"Wait, they're the targets?" Asomei asked. "That's not good. Put it into overdrive! Now!"
Over Coruscant, Ahsoka and the rest of the Young Justice were prepping themselves. Katana was sharpening her sword while Robin opened up a secret compartment in his suitcase. Once he did, several additional Birdarangs, as well as other equipment, revealed themselves, and he started to load up.
Miss Martian was checking her lightsaber while Ahsoka was doing the same. Anakin walked over with Captain Rex as Superboy placed a new pauldron onto his shoulder.
"Master?" Ahsoka asked, looking to Anakin. "Any luck with the databases? Did you find out anything new about this Stormrunner guy?"
"I've checked with Master Secura and the other Jedi down at the Temple, but they don't know anything," Anakin replied. "Same with the other Jedi spread across the Outer Rim.
"Nothing on him from our end either, General," Captain Rex answered. "And we haven't heard back from Yejyo Vanzig either."
"Let's hope we can find out as much as we can," Ahsoka said before looking to the Arrowhead. "You know, every time I think of our latest victory, I feel that it was the ship that made it possible. I mean, I flew it, but if it weren't for that very Fighter, Hell Saber would have succeeded."
"Be careful not to use it too much, Ahsoka," Anakin said. "We can't rely on anything too powerful for so long."
"I know," Ahsoka said before feeling her head. "I sense a disturbance."
Anakin placed his hand to his head as well. "Me too," he said. "It's almost as if…" he started out before his eyes darted wide open. "We're about to have company!"
Everyone looked up as Anakin sounded off the alarm. As he did, the Young Justice ran to get ready. However, as Miss Martian was hurrying, she felt something else and stopped.
"M'gann? What's going on?" Barriss asked, running over. "M'gann, what's wrong?"
"I sense something, something familiar," Miss Martian replied. "As if I know it, but I can't place my finger on how and when."
"Generals, we have a problem!" Admiral Dodonna called out as he looked to the scanners on the bridge. "Three unknown fighters are headed this way from Hyperspace!"
"To the Equinox or to Coruscant?" Anakin asked.
At that moment, The Black Fighters emerged from Hyperspace. Everyone looked up to see them making their way towards the Hangar Bay before crashing right in. The Clone Troopers ran out of the way before Obi-Wan and Mace Windu used the Force to stop them. As soon as they did, they were suddenly thrown off.
"What are those?" Saw asked.
The doors to the Fighters opened up, revealing several dark red eye visors glowing. In response, Ahsoka, Miss Martian, Serra, Lux, Barriss, Katooni, Katana, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Mace Windu all activated their lightsabers while Captain Rex and the rest of his troops kept their blasters aimed. The rest of the Young Justice also readied their weapons for what would happen next.
At that moment, a black lightsaber with a red core activated, followed by a deep and distorted breathing sound. Several more lightsabers, all the same with a black core and a red blade, activated, followed by more breathing sounds. The same happened for the other two ships before they emerged, revealing black, futuristic blaster saber hybrid weapons. The Troopers, without deactivating their weapons, fired on the Clone Troopers, taking them down while some of the other Clone Troopers managed to take evasive maneuvers.
"Okay, these are new!" Kid Flash exclaimed.
"What are they?" Katooni asked.
"No idea," Ahsoka said, placing her main lightsaber in her left hand while readying her Master's first lightsaber in her right hand. "But I don't intend on making them feel too welcome."
"Just a question," Artemis said, keeping her arrows aimed at the new Troopers. "What kind of person entrusts their troops with lightsabers?"
"Yeah," Jaybo said in agreement. "I mean, the ORDER used to have them, and the Shadow Collective does now too, but I can't imagine anyone in their right mind who would give lightsabers to their troops, especially ones like those."
"Take them down!" one of the Troopers ordered, aiming his blaster at the Young Justice and the Jedi Masters.
Rocket flew forward and started to form an energy bubble, blocking the blasts. However, one of the troopers ran forward and sent a stab towards the center of the shield, causing it to shatter. Raquel shrieked and staggered backwards as the trooper advanced on her. Katana leapt over her and locked with the trooper, circling her Shadow Saber around with the new weapon.
"Get them!" Ahsoka ordered, leading everyone else against the new Troopers.
At this was happening, Asomei came out from Hyperspace. She looked around before seeing the Equinox with all the new Fighters inside of the Hangar Bay.
"Well, J3, time for hiding is done," Asomei said before her skin turned back to white. She took out her lightsaber and placed her ear-comm, causing a mouth plate to appear over her mouth. "Bring us in."
J3 beeped and flew the Jedi Bio-Fighter to the Equinox.
Anakin dodged several blasts from the new troopers as Captain Rex and Fives fired at them. He blocked one of the blasts before grabbing the blaster out from one of their hands. He used the saber to slash at another, but rather than go down easily, he still stood, before Anakin locked his lightsabers with the trooper while locking with another.
"They're stronger, smarter," Anakin said as he felt himself being pushed back. "Never thought there would be anyone like this!"
Mace Windu grunted as he utilized Vaapad against several of the new troopers. As he did, several of them lined up to blast him, but he managed to deflect their shots without even turning to face them. He reached his hand out, and their blasters were soon disassembled. As soon as they were, he rushed at them, cutting them down. Much to his surprise, however, only faint scratches were made on their armor before they took out new blasters, slashing at him from all around, which he was forced to counter back.
"I'd be impressed if they were not trying to kill us." Mace Windu mused.
Ahsoka slashed at several of the new troopers with Katooni at her side. One of them, wearing a pauldron and with an extra weapon at her side, locked with her Master's lightsaber while locking with Anakin as well. Noticing the lightsabers, however, the trooper was quick to back away before her weapon was thrown out of her hands.
"Surrender the sabers!" the trooper ordered before regaining her lightsaber and shooting at Anakin and Ahsoka.
"Ahsoka! I got this!" Katooni called out, deflecting the blasts. Soon, she utilized the Whirlwind of Destiny before slashing his blaster and stabbing her in the leg. However, the advanced Trooper was quick to jump back, readying her weapon safely.
"That was odd," Anakin said as he and Ahsoka looked to the lightsabers being held in their dominant hands. "She sure seemed interested in these weapons."
"Come to think of it, she was very interested in these alone," Ahsoka added on. "Why do you think that is?"
"I don't know," Anakin said before he, Ahsoka and Katooni all regained themselves as more troopers approached. "But we'd better save it for later!"
Robin tossed several explosive birdarangs at the new troopers before Aqualad slammed his Water-Bearer Swords against three more. As he did, Kid Flash raced around, trying to evade the blasts of more troopers.
Artemis backflipped and fired at several more of the troopers while Zatanna and Katana locked with more of them. As they did, Rocket flew and tossed energy discs at the ships that once held the troopers, trapping them and cutting them off from the new adversaries.
"Guys?" Rocket asked as she started to add more power to the shields. "Do these guys seem stronger to you?"
Saw blasted away several of the new troopers with Jaybo before looking back. "Yeah, and not just in a way like with the ORDER or the Shadow Collective," the Soldier of Onderon said. "Almost as if they know our moves before we make them."
"Which gets annoying every once in a while, to be honest," Jaybo added on before slamming his staff into a trooper, electrocuting him, before the new trooper fell to the ground. "Good thing we now know what we're dealing with."
"Um, guys?" Ahsoka asked as she looked to Miss Martian fighting against several more of the new troopers. "M'gann's in trouble!"
The Commander looked to Miss Martian and motioned for the rest of the troopers to stop. "Advance on the Martian." She ordered.
Miss Martian fought off against three of the new troopers at once, using her crossguard lightsaber and her normal lightsaber to fend off against them. Using a combination of Niman and Soresu, she managed to keep them at bay before phasing just as a blade passed through her neck. Once she became whole again, she stabbed the trooper in the back and held him against the blade of another trooper about to bring her blade down onto her. Letting out a yell, she pushed the two off before turning around, seeing the troopers and their Commander aiming their weapons at her.
"Well, aren't we all feeling a bit too excited today?" Miss Martian asked.
"End her!" the Commander ordered.
Before anyone could fire, however, a gold throwing star was thrown at seven of the Troopers, getting their weapons to malfunction and explode. Everyone watched before it flew back to its owner, revealed to be Asomei. She held out her lightsaber and let the throwing star reattach to the guard.
"It's her!" Artemis exclaimed. "The Jedi from Tehar and Crait!"
"Who are you?" Ahsoka asked.
"Sorry to interrupt, Commandress," Asomei said. "But did you really think you could get this started without me?" she asked.
"Troopers…" the Commandress started out as the Troopers aimed their weapons at Asomei. "Focus your fire on the Martian… on M'orzz."
"M'gann, look out!" Ahsoka called out as she and Connor ran to intercept. Much to their surprise, many of the blasts went past them and towards Asomei.
The troopers fired on Asomei, only for her to hold her hilt out. It started to change, with a normal extra blade appearing from the other end. Activating a Double-Bladed Lightsaber, she deflected the blasts before charging forward, flying as she did. She landed on the ground, causing ten troopers around her to activate their weapons. She grinned and swung her Double-Bladed Lightsaber around, parrying off their attacks randomly before locking with another. She changed her lightsaber once again before backflipping away, landing on thin air.
"Whoa…" Anakin said.
"What the—?" Miss Martian asked.
The Jedi Bio-Fighter revealed itself and fired at several of the Troopers, in which they fired back at her. As J3-D1 fired away, Asomei deflected the blasts back at whoever sent them before she flew into the ground. As soon as she did, she flew back up and slashed at several more of the new troopers, only one activating their jetpacks to go after her.
Asomei and the trooper clashed through the air before landing again, where Asomei stabbed him in the belt. She spun around and blocked another attack from another trooper before leaping up, placing her lightsaber in a reverse-grip. As soon as she did, she sent several SokaTan Slashes forward, taking down several more troopers, only leaving the Commandress and about forty more troopers left.
"Your move, Prizma," Asomei said, aiming her lightsaber at Commandress Prizma. "Tell me where Stormrunner is! Now!"
"Another day, Jedi," the Commandress said before one of the remaining shuttles flew over. It pulled them in with a Tractor Beam before taking off. "But here is something for you to remember me by." She said, pressing a button on her wrist.
Asomei was about to chase after Commandress Prizma before hearing several beeps from the other shuttles. Her eyes widened, as did the eyes of the rest of Young Justice, the Jedi Masters and the Clone Troopers.
"Quick!" Asomei called out to the Jedi as she levitated the shuttles weakly off of the ground. "Help me get these out of here!"
"Admiral, open the Hangar Bay!" Anakin ordered as he, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Serra, Barriss, Katooni and Miss Martian all held their hands out.
Asomei and the rest of the Jedi lifted the ticking shuttles off of the ground before tossing them out into space. Just as the remaining shuttle was about to take off into Hyperspace, the rest of the shuttles exploded, rocketing them uncontrollably before finally departing from Coruscant.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief as the Hangar Bay doors started to lock down again. Asomei panted and felt her shoulder, seeing some blood drip.
"Hey…" Miss Martian said as she and Ahsoka ran forward. "You okay?"
At that moment, J3-D1 rolled over to Asomei, letting out a small canister.
Asomei caught the canister and smiled. "Thanks, J3," she said before injecting herself with it, getting the gash to slowly fade. "Always can count on your for a Healing Stim."
J3-D1 chirped happily, getting Asomei to chuckle and rub his head.
"Um, as touching as this is with your ball friend there," Barriss started out. "We need to know something," she said before holding out her hand to stop herself. "Correction, a lot of things."
"Like who was that?" Anakin asked.
"What were those Troopers?" Connor added on.
"Where is Jaune Stormrunner?" Ahsoka went on.
"And… who are you?" Miss Martian finished up.
"Wait a minute…" Artemis said, looking to the back of Asomei closely. "Weren't you on Tehar while I was reading?" she asked.
Asomei sighed as she turned around. She closed her eyes, letting everyone clearly see her White Martian skin. It soon turned to green before her eyes opened again.
"In order…" Asomei started out. "That was the Commandress of the Elite Dark Troopers, those are known as Dark Troopers, individuals trained to fight like the Sith Lords of the Past, I'm still trying to trace the location of Stormrunner, and as for who I am…" she went on before walking over to Miss Martian, Ahsoka and Superboy. "Hi, Mom and Dad. Hello, Godmother."
Ahsoka, Miss Martian and Connor looked to Asomei with shock. The rest of the Young Justice, as well as Anakin, Mace Windu and Obi-Wan, had the same expressions on their faces.
Asomei looked to everyone for five minutes of them holding their expressions. She raised an eyebrow. "Um… this is the part where you either laugh your butts off, rebuke my answer, or call me crazy," she said. "Unless, of course, this is common for you."
"Okay," Zatanna said. "I'd say we've officially reached our sixth annual crossover." She mused.
"So, this isn't uncommon for all of you?" Asomei asked as J3-D1 beeped.
"Should it not be?" Fives asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh, it's common, alright," Ahsoka said. "We've already met Ezra, Sabine and Indiana Jones."
"Yeah, so we're pretty much used to that," Anakin said before a more confused expression appeared on his face upon the mentions of Ezra and Sabine. He shook off the thoughts before looking back to Asomei. "And… did you just call them your parents and godmother?"
"Yeah, we're gonna need a little more clarification." Connor said.
"Oh. Oh…" Asomei said in a slightly understanding tone. "Well, you see, Rowan officiated the wedding, and when Dad and Mom were in the Hospital, they—"
"Forget we said it!" Miss Martian yelled in fear. She took a deep breath and walked over to Asomei. "You're… my daughter?"
Asomei sighed before looking to J3-D1. The Ball Droid simply chirped before holding out a servo with two blowtorches on them, almost winking and giving her a peace sign.
"Yes," Asomei replied, looking back to her mother. "From half a century in the future, after the Clone Wars ended."
"Wow," Ahsoka said. "That… that's pretty far in there," she mused before Asomei turned to her. "And… I'm your Godmother?"
"Yeah, you were there for my Communion," Asomei said. "I got my middle name from you. Asomei Tano Kent M'orzz."
"What?" Connor asked.
"Yeah," Asomei said, rubbing the back of her head awkwardly. "Apparently, you can't hyphenate an Earth name with a Martian surname. It makes it look and sound too awkward," she said before pulling out a holographic identification. "Everywhere I go, I have to identify myself as Asomei TK M'orzz."
"Sounds reasonable," Captain Rex said as he stepped forward. "Now, if you really are from the future, as you claim to be, how can we win the Clone Wars?"
Asomei looked to Captain Rex and sighed. "I'm sorry, Commander…" she started out.
"Captain." Captain Rex corrected.
"Right, right," Asomei said, wincing in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, Captain, but for obvious reasons, I can't disclose any secret tactics or ways for any side to win the War right now," she said before looking back to Ahsoka and the rest of the Young Justice. "I suppose you all want to know more about Stormrunner now, huh?" she asked.
"That would help," Ahsoka said. "What have you got?"
"I'll explain everything," Asomei said before motioning for the Jedi Bio-Fighter to fly over and land down. "But first… I don't suppose you guys have any Hyper Fuel to spare, do you?"
Over the Desert Planet of Ord Tellarom, Jaune Stormrunner emerged from Hyperspace in his TIE Corruptor. Inside, he checked on his systems before pressing a comlink panel.
"Commandress, this is Stormrunner," Jaune said. "If by any chance you're still alive, I am now over Ord Tellarom, precisely at the point in time that the Supreme Leader ordered me to go to," he reported. "Bring what troops you have left, taking into account the strength of both this time's Young Justice and Asomei M'orzz, and meet me on the surface. We shall discuss our next move, and plant the Prism as planned. Stormrunner out."
Jaune Stormrunner ended his transmission and flew down to the surface. He looked to the Prism in his hands and placed his hand on it, his eye starting to glow red, before landing on the surface. He looked around before ejecting from his cockpit. Jumping out and letting the wings of the TIE Corruptor fold, he walked out while looking to a map on his hologlove. He started to walk, now heading in the direction of a blinking red dot on his map, before passing by a sword with a red guard and a silver blade.
"Why does that feel familiar?" Jaune asked. He shrugged before continuing to make his way.
"Lord Stormrunner," the voice of Commandress Prizma said, just as the shuttle carrying her and the Vader Troopers arrived. "We have survived our encounter. Is everything set on the Surface below?"
"Soon, it will be," Jaune Stormrunner replied. "Meet me at point 11.38, and we shall discuss our next move."
"Of course, Lord Stormrunner," Commandress Prizma said back on her shuttle. "But, with all due respect, knowing that the daughter of M'gann M'orzz was the one chasing after us into the past, it is not long before she combines her resources with the Young Justice of this time to find us more quickly."
"All we need to do is discuss our next plan for the Prism," Jaune Stormrunner said before looking to the Prism in his hand. "Ready your ships for departure to Jabiim," he ordered. "My Fighter's coordinates have been preset already. That is where we shall make our next move." He said just as the shuttle carrying Commandress Prizma and her Vader Troopers landed.
"Of course, Lord Stormrunner," Commandress Prizma said as she approached. "We live to serve."
"In the name of the First Order." Jaune Stormrunner finished up.
"Jaune Stormrunner, born on Korriban," Asomei told the Young Justice and the Jedi Masters back on the Equinox over Coruscant. A hologram of him with his lightsaber was brought on the Holo-Display Terminal. "Serves the Supreme Leader, and for his actions on his behalf, he is known as the Supreme Leader's Hand."
"Supreme Leader?" Obi-Wan asked. "What of Darth Sidious?"
"Status unknown," Asomei said. "I can't disclose much, but let's just say that in the future, someone far worse than any Sith has replaced Darth Sidious. Even outmatches Messiah."
"Whoa," Barriss said. "That powerful?"
"Yes," Asomei said. "Now, as I was saying, Jaune Stormrunner serves as the Supreme Leader's Hand. He carries out tasks assigned to him specifically, like assassinating war criminals captured by Republic Forces before they can reveal anything of value, or gathering Sith Relics. He was even successful in almost taking down the Republic within a night had we not stopped him."
"You've dealt with him before?" Anakin asked. "On your own?"
"Not on my own," Asomei said before looking to the eight founding members of the Young Justice, as well as Serra, Saw and Jaybo. "I'm the leader of the New Young Justice… all children of the Founding Eight."
"All of us?" Robin asked in amazement.
"And even the daughter of Jessica Cruz," Asomei added on as she looked to Jessica, who blushed happily, before the future Martian handed a gauntlet to Anakin. "Leo asked for an autograph on this specifically, just to add," she whispered before looking back to the rest of the Young Justice. "Aside from me, I lead many other of your future kin. Their codenames will only be shared, not their real names."
Kid Flash grinned. "Fair enough," he said before leaning in towards Artemis. "I'm really hoping our kid gets named 'Wolf'. I like the sound of Wolf West."
"If we name our son after a Wolf, it will be after the Commander!" Artemis argued.
"You're both off, way off, on the name, and now, if you're done…" Asomei spoke up, getting everyone to look to her with surprise. She blushed and pulled back her hair shyly. "I… I inherited your Kryptonian Powers with Mom's Martian Powers." She explained to Superboy and Miss Martian.
"That explains a lot." Connor said with a smirk.
"A Martian Kryptonian Jedi," Miss Martian mused. "That's… quite the combo."
"Who's the new Young Justice, then?" Ahsoka spoke up.
"Sparrow, Limelight, Aquagirl II, Hotshot, Iego Angel, and Braveheart," Asomei said. "The others take example and either go by their real name or just stick with their own names and don't adopt any codename, so that's all you're getting out of me, unfortunately."
"Sounds fair," Katooni said. "Good reason to not know too much."
"Right," Zatanna said. "So, what else is there to know about Jaune Stormrunner?"
Asomei pulled up more files of Jaune Stormrunner, this time showing him with his Double-Bladed Crossguard Lightsaber. "A strong Force-Sensitive with the Dark Side, he's a fighter that's not to be underestimated," she explained. "It took half the Jedi Council led by Master Skywalker to even match his skill. A handful of Jedi stationed to fight him with us on Shei'Ten Kar overwhelmed him after evading us for a long time, but he stole a Time Stone on the transport bringing him to be put on trial. I got here and tracked him halfway across the Galaxy for three months time."
"That long?" Mace Windu asked.
"It takes longer here than the time I last contacted my team," Asomei went on. "According to Hotshot, I left to this time only ten minutes ago. The last time I made contact with the New Young Justice for that update was six days back."
Ahsoka sighed. "You miss them, don't you?" She asked.
"A second there is like a day or two here," Asomei answered. "By the time I tracked him, I had enough, and placed a sizable bounty on his head. It helped to narrow down my search, but…" she started as J3-D1 shut off the hologram. "His tracking continues to work to evade me. I can only feel him through the Force."
Miss Martian looked at Jaune Stormrunner's lightsaber closely. "Hmm…" she said thoughtfully before taking out her own crossguard lightsaber. "Only a select few use that kind of lightsaber," she noted before turning to her daughter from the future. "If he's as dangerous as you say, how do his lightsaber skills live up to his threat level?"
"Very dangerously, Mom," Asomei said. "He received excessive training from all eight lightsaber forms. You'd have to have enough stamina to last in a fight with him. Not even Master Skywalker could win a flawless victory against him in one on one combat."
"Good thing I can try again." Anakin said, crossing his arms.
"Yeah, I'm sure you can," Asomei said, going along with what Anakin was saying. "Anyways, he came to the past for a reason."
"Which is…?" Connor asked.
Asomei motioned to J3-D1, letting him pull up another hologram. This one showed the Prism and the Obelisk. "A year ago, the Supreme Leader sent a Sith Prism into the past in the hopes of corrupting a Jedi on Lothal who would be born to become the first of a new generation," she explained. "Lady Shiva found it first with Darth Maul and Gemini Rouge, and during the Battle of Lothal, it was taken, disrupting the Supreme Leader's plans. This Prism is capable of harnessing energy for the use of weaponizing the Dark Side of the Force. Jaune Stormrunner traveled to the past with an equally, stronger and more dangerous version of the Prism, the Dark Obelisk," she started to explain. "His new mission, as we learned from a contact of the League, was to hand the Obelisk to Maul in exchange for the Prism, but he was killed before we could learn the next phase of the plan. We suspect that he plans to use it for something in the past, but I have been unable to pinpoint exactly where he is."
"He's that good at avoiding you?" Obi-Wan asked.
"His vessel, the TIE Corruptor, is capable of evading any form of tracking," Asomei said. "That's why I've been relying on other tactics to find him, like placing a bounty on his head. Unfortunately, the Jedi Bio-Fighter can make so many Jumps, and I can't fly her any further until I refuel."
"The Bio-Fighter…" Miss Martian said, looking to the aforementioned Starfighter as it was being refueled. "I recognize its pattern. It's like the Bioship."
"A living Starfighter," Asomei confirmed. "But she requires Hyper Fuel to make all the Jumps to Lightspeed, else she refuses to fly."
"So I see," M'gann said before she noticed something hanging from Asomei's hair. "That braid…" she noted, getting Asomei to look to the side of her head. "You're a Padawan learner?"
Asomei blushed and pulled back her hair to reveal the braid. "Yeah," she said. "I've been training for a long time now. I was hoping, as an advantage of coming to the past, that I could learn a few tricks from my Mom."
"Well, you won't get much out of me, I'm afraid," M'gann said, blushing as well as she showed her own Padawan braid. "I'm the same rank as you. Padawan learner."
Asomei smiled, moving her finger back and forth from her to her mother. "Guess I arrived at the right point in time, huh?" She asked, letting out a chuckle. "Like mother, like daughter, am I right?"
M'gann shifted uncomfortably. "Yeah, yeah it is," she said, causing Ahsoka to raise an eyebrow. "Um, was that all you had to tell us about Stormrunner and his plans?" She asked.
Asomei nodded. "All we know, yes," she said. "I promised you in the future that I wouldn't, but I'm very excited to be working alongside you," she admitted. "You're one of the best new Jedi of my time."
Once again, Miss Martian shifted uncomfortably. "I see," she said. "Well, we'd better do what we can to get ready for whatever Jaune has to throw at us," she said before stepping back, causing the door to open behind her. "I… I need to get ready." She said nervously before walking out.
Ahsoka looked to Connor. "You know what's going on?" She asked.
"No, not really." Connor admitted.
Ahsoka sighed before looking to the rest of her friends. "Okay, here's the plan," she started out. "Robin, Jaybo, I want you two to cross-reference Asomei's trackers on Stormrunner. We might find out where he is that way."
"On it." Robin said with a nod.
"You can count on us." Jaybo added on.
"Master, please check on the Bio-Fighter," Ahsoka went on as she turned her attention to Anakin. "You're the best mechanic out of all of us, and you've had some experience with the Bioship, so you should be able to do a double check on her Starfighter to make sure it's good and ready for our next mission."
"Okay," Anakin said. "I'll see what I can do."
"Saw, take a look at the weapons that those Dark Troopers left behind with Rex," Ahsoka continued, looking to Saw and Captain Rex. "Maybe we can counter against Prizma if she's with Stormrunner by the time we find him."
"We'll do our best." Saw said.
"Katana, Metamorpho, oversee the rest of the Young Justice in getting prepared," Ahsoka said, this time looking towards Katana and Metamorpho. "Connor and I will check up on M'gann."
"You got it." Katana said.
"Alright, let's move!" Ahsoka ordered.
Everyone nodded and moved out to carry out their respective assignments. Asomei, on the other hand, watched as Ahsoka and Connor made their way to Miss Martian at the Bioship. She sighed and walked after them.
"I didn't get any orders," Asomei muttered. "This is justified." She said before turning invisible.
Mace Windu noticed Asomei and placed his hand to his chin. "I get the gist of it." He said before walking after Ahsoka and Superboy as they went into the Martian Bioship to check up on Miss Martian.
At the Bioship, Miss Martian was meditating, her lightsaber disassembled in front of her. She had her boots off and her eyes closed as she floated in midair, the components of her lightsaber slowly coming together. As she was reconstructing it, Ahsoka walked up. She removed her boots as well before getting into the same meditative position that Miss Martian was in. As she used the Force to levitate herself, her own lightsaber flew out and disassembled before closing her eyes.
M'gann sighed. "What is it?" She asked as Connor simply sat down and watched as everything transpired.
"Look, I'm not sure if I have a son or daughter, or even both, if I'm lucky enough with Lux for that many conceptions, but right now, on this day, your daughter is here," Ahsoka said, feeling the pieces of her lightsaber come together. "You should talk to her. I'd jump at the chance to speak with my own kid if they were here."
"Ahsoka, trust me when I say this, I am thrilled to have my future daughter here," Miss Martian said. "But… I'm afraid."
"Of what kind of person she is?" Connor asked. "I mean, I think that at the time, I wouldn't allow her to see any movies rated above her age, or see any boys yet."
"It's more than that," M'gann sighed, rebuilding her lightsaber completely. She got up and walked over to her seat while looking to her lightsaber. "Surely, you saw her in action against those Troopers. She's about as skilled with the Force as I am, and she probably expects me to be amazing," she mused as Mace Windu entered. "I could see it in her eyes when I showed her I was still a Padawan."
"Not everyone is perfect," Mace Windu said, getting the attention of Ahsoka, M'gann and Connor. "It took me years to become the Jedi Master I am today, and it will take longer before even a Master can be considered as strong as Master Yoda."
"No offense, Master Windu," Miss Martian said. "But I don't think Master Yoda ever felt the pressure of his daughter from the future hoping for him to be perfect."
"That might not be the case," Mace Windu said. "Remember, Asomei did say you are one of the best Jedi of her time. That's not something you would usually hear someone say about another person."
"Okay, you might be right," Miss Martian said. "But I still think she could have been judging me, especially when she learned I'm a Padawan, not a Knight or a Master."
"I… never expected you to be any of the three."
Everyone looked around before seeing Asomei appear out of thin air. She kept her eyes closed as her skin turned from green to white before walking over to her mother.
Miss Martian could only look on in shock. "How… how long have you been listening to all this?" She asked, turning her head away slowly.
"Just got here," Asomei said. She knelt down and placed a hand on top of her mother's hand. "Look, as Master Windu said, no one is perfect. I don't expect you, or Godmother, or Father, to be perfect," she stated. "Look, at the time I started my Jedi training, you even told me those exact words."
M'gann scoffed shyly. "I bet I did." She mused.
"It took me a month to learn how to wield a lightsaber properly, and half that time to collect my crystal and make it before," Asomei said. "But no matter what, I kept going," she recalled. "You know what the hardest thing for me as a Kryptonian Martian Jedi to learn to master was?"
"The Trial of Strength?" Miss Martian asked.
"No," Asomei said, shaking her head. "It was the Jedi Mind Trick," she said, surprising Miss Martian, Ahsoka, and even Mace Windu. "Six months of Force training, and I had the basics down, but Martian Jedi don't have that much of an affinity for Force Mind Tricks without resorting to telepathy," she said. "I accidentally slapped Rowan in my training of the Mind Trick, and let me tell you, Rowan is not someone I like to harm."
"I figured it was a thing that even a Martian Jedi had to learn, but learning how long it took for you, Asomei… wow." Ahsoka mused.
"This is a surprise to me too," Mace Windu stated. "I was honestly under the impression that Miss Martian mastered it."
"Not even the Lost One is a perfectionist, Master Windu," Miss Martian said before looking back to her future daughter. "Is it really that hard for Martians?" She asked.
"Trust me, it is very hard," Asomei said. "But if I learned anything from you, Master Skywalker, Godmother Tano and every other Jedi Master, it's that nothing ever happens so easily. It is the Will of the Force that we are able to persevere," she said. "If I could get through it, I'm sure you can too."
Ahsoka smiled, walking over to sit next to M'gann. "You see?" She asked. "She really is your daughter after all."
M'gann smiled. "Come here, my daughter," she said, pulling Asomei into a hug. "Hope me from the future warned you about this part."
"Yep," Asomei said, hugging Miss Martian back and blushing brightly. "Mom sure did."
Miss Martian chuckled, as did Ahsoka and Superboy while Mace Windu simply smiled and walked out.
"Now, as your mother… I need to know," Miss Martian said as the two Martians broke off and looked to each other. "Who's this Rowan you keep talking so much about?" She asked with a sly grin on her face. "Good boy or bad boy type? I want to know everything about him, and don't think I won't read your mind to find out the truth."
Asomei blushed so hard that she started to sweat. "Um, well, you see…" she started out. "Rowan is—"
Before Asomei could go on, Serra entered the Bioship, getting everyone to look to her.
"Sorry to break up the gossip," Serra apologized while also quickly sending a wink to Asomei. "But I thought I should let you know… Robin and Jaybo have found a lead on Stormrunner and the Dark Troopers."
"Wow, that was surprising," Asomei said. "What about the Bio-Fighter?" She then asked. "Is that ready?"
"Yeah," Anakin said, walking in. "I worked around her, and she's fueled up and ready to fly."
"Excellent," Ahsoka said. "We'll be right there."
"I'll go on ahead," Connor said, getting up. "I can tell you three could be alone," he slyly noted afterwards before looking to Anakin. "Come on."
"I'll be waiting for you, Snips." Anakin said, walking out.
"As will I," Serra said as she started to walk out as well. She was almost out until something caught her attention. "You three smell something?" She asked before walking out and joining the rest of the Young Justice.
Ahsoka, Miss Martian and Asomei looked to he corner of the Bioship, seeing their boots rested there. "SORRY!" They all called out.
"Better get going." Ahsoka said.
"Here, I got this," Asomei said, reaching her hands out. All the boots floated over, M'gann's going to her hand. She was just about to slip it onto her mother's foot before she paused, a blush appearing on her face. "Wow, they're so…" she started off before her eyes closed as she leaned in.
"Um, Asomei?" Miss Martian asked, snapping Asomei out of it. The daughter of Miss Martian looked up embarrassingly. "Something wrong?"
"No, no. Just tired. That's all," Asomei said quickly, placing her mother's boots back onto her feet before doing the same with Ahsoka. She put her own boots back on before getting up. "Come on, let's go!" She announced before flying off.
Ahsoka grinned at Miss Martian as she raised an eyebrow in confusion. "She really is your daughter." She teased.
"How do you know it doesn't have something to do with you?" Miss Martian argued, walking out. "She could have picked it up from you."
"Whatever you say." Ahsoka teased before she and Miss Martian ran after Asomei.
At the Meeting Room, Ahsoka and Miss Martian walked in, where Asomei appeared beside them out of thin air. The three smiled to each other as Connor walked over, placing his hand on Asomei's shoulder with a smile on his own face as well.
"You got something for us, guys?" Ahsoka asked as she looked to Robin and Jaybo.
"Yeah," Jaybo said, bringing up some data provided to them by J3-D1. "Based on the tracking data J3 provided to us, we've managed to pinpoint all of the last known locations that Stormrunner has been to," he started out, showing the many planets that Jaune Stormrunner had been to. "Of course, since some of the tracking has been lost, we've had to make some close estimates on what other planets he's been to."
"Wild Mass Guessing," Asomei said, placing her hand to her chin. "I'll admit, I never would've done it that way. Otherwise, I'd end up getting an earful from Sparrow."
"Right…" Robin said before bringing up a star map. "Anyways, moving on, we managed to place a small tracker onto the shuttle carrying Prizma, and found it heading to a remote planet, Ord Tellarom, but according to the readings of our advanced tracker, it seems they won't stay there for too long."
"Meaning what?" Aqualad asked as a grin came onto Asomei's face. "What is this tracker capable of?"
"Oh, I get it," Asomei said. "The NJT. Nice."
"'NJT'?" Jaybo asked, confused.
"Oh, right, spoilers," Asomei said, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. "See, in my time, that's an advanced tracker used by the Republic, rebranded as the NJT, aka the Next Jump Tracker. Unnoticeable and difficult to remove. Totally allowed for covert missions only by the Senate."
"Nice," Zatanna said, playfully elbowing Robin. "You and Jaybo are geniuses in the future."
"Good to know." Jaybo said.
"So, what had the NJT found on Stormrunner and Prizma?" Asomei asked.
"According to the NJT, their next Planet they'll Jump to is…" Robin said before bringing up a red blinking dot on the star map. He zoomed in on it. "A Planet called Jabiim."
"Oh, Jabiim." Anakin said with worry in his voice.
"After all this time… we're going back." Obi-Wan said with the same tone of concern in his voice.
The Young Justice looked to the Jedi Masters with confusion.
"I don't get it," Wally said. "I mean, I don't intend on sounding disrespectful here, but… what's Jabiim, and what happened there?"
Mace Windu sighed. "Jabiim was one of the most devastating losses of the Clone Wars," he explained. "We lost a lot of good people that day, and even more when we reclaimed the planet from the Separatists."
"Jabiim is not easy for anyone to return to," Anakin said. "I'm gonna have some trouble there since I made a couple difficult choices in winning the Planet back."
"Well, it looks like a Planet we'll all have to check out now," Ahsoka said. "I was never at the Battle of Jabiim, but there's a first time for everything."
"Right," Captain Rex said. "Saw and I have looked over the enemy weapons. We figure we can use them against Stormrunner and his troops when we come across them."
"Just give the word, Ahsoka," Anakin said. "And we're off."
Ahsoka nodded before activating her wrist-comm. "Admiral, set course for Jabiim," she ordered. "And prepare to make the Jump to Lightspeed."
"Acknowledged, General," Admiral Dodonna said as the coordinates to Jabiim started to get plugged in. "I hope you're all ready."
"As are we," Ahsoka said. She looked to her friends. "Prepare for battle."
The Equinox soon took off into Hyperspace towards Jabiim.
"Everyone, to your fighters!" Anakin ordered as several Clone Troopers got into Gunships while Obi-Wan and Mace Windu made their way towards their Jedi Starfighters. "Let's make this count."
"We always do." Mace Windu said.
"This time, we leave no one behind." Obi-Wan said.
Anakin nodded before looking to Ahsoka and the Young Justice as they boarded the Bioship. "Be careful out there." He said.
"You too, Skyguy." Ahsoka teased.
Asomei giggled giddily. "Oh, I can't wait to use that against Master Skywalker in the future when I get back." She said as she made her way to the Martian Bio-Fighter.
"Asomei!" Miss Martian called out, getting her future daughter's attention. "May the Force be with you."
Asomei smiled. "And with you too, Mother." She said before getting in, J3 rocketing up into the Droid Socket.
Ahsoka boarded her Jedi Starfighter and smiled to Miss Martian. "That's my girl." She said just as R7 attached himself into the Droid Socket.
"Coming out of Hyperspace," Admiral Dodonna said. "Good luck, everyone!"
The Equinox soon came out of Hyperspace, and all craft were soon deployed. The Young Justice, Ahsoka and Asomei led in their respective Fighters, with Anakin, Mace Windu and Obi-Wan, with the Clone Troopers, flying right behind them.
On Jabiim, Jaune Stormrunner found an altar as Commandress Prizma and her Vader Troopers kept watch. He placed the Prism on it before it started to spark.
"The remains of a destroyed Temple… now ready to be taken by the First Order." Jaune Stormrunner said.
"My Lord," Commandress Prizma said, getting his attention. "The Republic has arrived."
"Oh?" Jaune asked. He turned around and looked up as several Fighters opened fire on him, but he barely flinched. "Let them land," he said. "And send a brigade to meet them," he ordered. "I shall…" he started out before turning back around, sensing something. "So… she's found me?"
"Awaiting further orders." The Commandress said.
Jaune took out his lightsaber hilt and walked forward. As soon as he saw the Prism stop glowing, he used the Force to pull it off.
"We have what we need," Jaune said. "Now, I finish what I should have with Asomei M'orzz. It ends where it began."
"Generals, we're picking up several Dark Troopers approaching," Fives said from his Gunship. "We are ready to engage with our new weapons."
"Once they're put to use, dispose of them!" Asomei ordered. "I don't want future technology to be used in the past!"
"Don't worry," Saw said, activating a new blaster based on the ones the Vader Troopers used. "I only need ten hits."
The Gunships landed, and the Clone Troopers ran out, firing at the Vader Troopers. They all fired at each other and charged forward while Saw stepped out, getting the attention of seven more Troopers. He grinned before activating a large claymore-sized blade. He ran forward and slashed at the Troopers before jumping up, using a new jetpack to fly and fire down with his sidearm.
"Anyone see Stormrunner?" Miss Martian asked from the Bioship.
"I see him!" Connor called out, seeing Jaune thundering past several blasts. "And boy… is he fast."
"Take him down!" a Clone Trooper yelled, firing at Jaune alongside several more Troopers.
Jaune held out his lightsaber and activated one crossguard lightsaber side. He spun it around, and another one activated at the other end afterwards. Spinning around the lightsaber, he deflected the blasts before dashing forward, the roar of thunder sounding off. He arrived in front of the Clone Troopers with a mighty boom before slashing them at light speed. He landed on the ground behind them afterwards before they all fell to the ground, dead.
"What did he—?!" Serra asked from her Jedi Starfighter.
"He isn't called Stormrunner for nothing!" Asomei yelled. "Dad, Mom, let's give him a little family beat-down, shall we?"
"Including the Godmother, you mean?" Ahsoka quibbled.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Asomei smiled. "Deploying Jedi Martian Sun Cycle." She said, pressing a button on her console.
"Right with you. R7, let's go!" Ahsoka called out, pressing the same button.
"Wait!" Miss Martian called out as the Commandress and three Vader Troopers leapt up. They crashed through the window, causing the Bioship to steer out of control. "We're going down!"
Everyone watched as the Bioship crashed to the ground behind Jaune Stormrunner, who stood tall as he stabbed his Double-Bladed Lightsaber into the ground.
"Mom! Dad!" Asomei called out.
"Go on!" Miss Martian called out. "We'll join you!"
"Copy that!" Ahsoka called out. "Okay, Asomei. Let's go!"
Asomei nodded. "May the Force be with us." She said.
The Bio-Fighter landed on the ground, and instantly transformed into a single, thin-wheeled bike before splitting apart to form a car shape, only with two wheels and the handles in the middle. Asomei grinned and fired at the rest of the Vader Troopers before focusing her fire on Jaune.
Ahsoka detached from her Jedi Starfighter and formed her Jedi Cycle as well, firing at as many Vader Troopers as she could. She stopped and leapt out, activating her Master's lightsaber and her own, now emitting its original green blade, before landing and cutting off the heads of four Vader Troopers around her. She aimed her lightsabers at Jaune right as Asomei landed, activating her lightsaber as well.
"Hello, Asomei," Jaune said, keeping his Double-Bladed Crossguard Lightsaber at the ready. "I see you've already made yourself acquainted with the Young Justice and the Jedi of this time. I've made myself known to a Sith Lord myself."
"Spare me the talk, Stormrunner," Asomei said, keeping a Soresu Stance. "We both know you're not getting away from us this time."
"As if," Jaune said. "I know just what will happen. Supreme Leader knows too. The Supreme Leader knows best."
"So you're a blind follower, is that it?" Ahsoka asked. "And to think that a name like Stormrunner would have had a bigger punch to it."
"Ahsoka Tano… we finally meet," Jaune said as he looked to Ahsoka. "I've read all about you. It will be an honor to engage you in combat."
"Try to keep up." Ahsoka spat, keeping her lightsabers in their reversed grip.
Asomei looked to Ahsoka and nodded. Ahsoka nodded back before the two charged at Jaune, who spun around his Double-Bladed Lightsaber wildly. The two Jedi were kept at bay by his spinning red blades before spinning and slashing at Ahsoka.
Ahsoka used Shien to keep Jaune away, blocking each of his lightsaber strikes with her own blades. She eventually locked with him before sending several blasts at him from her Arm-Mounted Crossbows. Jaune deflected them all and spun back around, just in time as Asomei used Ataru on him.
"You won't win this time!" Asomei exclaimed.
Back at the Bioship, Miss Martian helped Katooni up. The rest of the Young Justice regained themselves as well before Rocket looked forward.
"Look out!" Rocket yelled, forming several shields that blocked blasts sent at them.
As soon as the shields lowered, Miss Martian, Lux, Barriss, Katooni and Katana all activated their respective lightsabers. Out from the smoke in front of them was the Commandress and her fellow Vader Troopers.
"You chased our daughter all across time," Connor said as he got up. "As Asomei's parents… you're all dead."
"Don't flatter me, Kon-El," Prizma spat. "I've been chasing Jedi for ages. Her lightsaber and her head will look excellent alongside the rest of the trophies of the Knights of Ren."
"Who are they?" Zatanna asked as she and Rocket drew their swords.
"More powerful beyond your comprehension, Leaguers," Commandress Prizma said. "Now, with the 21st Century banter out of the way, I believe it is time to change history."
"Starting with yours!" Miss Martian spat. She flew into the air and slammed down, creating a Seismic Force Wave that sent Commandress Prizma and her troops across the area.
"Let's go!" Barriss called out, flying at one of the Vader Troopers. She locked with him immediately before slamming down at him, repeatedly using Niman to keep him at bay.
"M'gann, look out!" Katana called out, blocking an attack from another Vader Trooper. She slashed her Shadow Saber across the Vader Trooper's chest before separating her blades, now pushing him back.
Katooni looked around with Lux, trying to find the next Vader Trooper. It soon appeared out of thin air and slashed at the two, but they managed to keep him at bay, their lightsabers scraping against his.
"Hey, Prizma!" Zatanna called out as Prizma started to get back up. She activated her weapon and slashed behind her just as Zatanna slashed at her. She took out a smaller lightsaber and slashed at her left soon afterwards, blocking an attack from Rocket from the other side.
"Go!" Rocket called out. "Help Ahsoka and Asomei!"
"We've got her!" Zatanna called out before igniting her blade with fire. "Go now!"
Miss Martian nodded. "Thanks," she said. She looked to Connor. "Let's move."
"Not so fast!" Commandress Prizma called out, revealing a third arm from her back. It reached for her blaster and aimed it at Miss Martian.
Miss Martian turned around and gasped. She looked to the arm before seeing five more Vader Troopers approach. Closing her eyes, she took several deep calming breaths. Afterwards, she held her arm out.
"Your squad are all traitors," Miss Martian said as the rest of the Young Justice looked on. "You will fire on them."
Commandress Prizma was prepared to pull the trigger until her third arm twisted around. Much to the surprise of her reinforcements, she fired on them, causing them to run or try to fight back before Zatanna cut off the blaster.
"Wow," Artemis said in amazement. "M'gann… you did it!"
Miss Martian opened her eyes and chuckled. "I did it!" she cheered. She looked to Connor. "Come on! Let's take care of Stormrunner."
"Right with you." Superboy said before flying off. Miss Martian grinned and flew on ahead while the rest of the Young Justice took on the rest of the incoming Vader Troopers.
"I'm gonna clobber you!" Metamorpho called out, forming two large brass knuckle fists. He pounded them together and punched at three Vader Troopers while Robin used his swords to lift two more into the air. He tossed them aside just as Aqualad was locking with another.
Artemis flew into the air with Paula and the two fired down together. Jessica flew on overhead and formed a large scythe, which she used to cut down four more.
"Keep your guards up!" Jessica called out.
Saw continued to attack the Vader Troopers with Captain Rex and the rest of the 501st Legion. Both stood back to back as they relentlessly opened fire before Anakin and Obi-Wan leapt over them. The two locked with two Vader Troopers each before Mace Windu stabbed one more in the head. He spun around and deflected several blaster bolts sent at him before redirecting said bolts towards more of the Troopers. He spun around, shattering more of them apart, before locking with three more.
"Don't think this will be easy." Mace Windu said.
Back with Ahsoka and Asomei, Asomei was on the defensive against Jaune Stormrunner, parrying off his blade as he spun it at her. She twirled her lightsaber around swiftly before the two locked. They each tried to gain momentum before their eyes started to light up. Force Lightning shot out from Jaune's eyes while an orange and white version of heat vision came from Asomei's. Both blasts bounced off of each other and forced the two back, Asomei levitating part of the ground towards Jaune.
Jaune somersaulted through the air, evading the piece of the Planet thrown at him, before tossing his lightsaber at her. In turn, Ahsoka tossed hers, and immediately sped to her Master's first blade to meet Stormrunner head-on as he slammed into the ground with another roar of thunder.
"You're soaked with the Dark Side, Stormrunner." Ahsoka spat.
"I will not be judged by the likes of you!" Jaune exclaimed, sending an underhand shot of Sith Lightning at Ahsoka.
Ahsoka gasped and used her own lightsaber to block the Lightning, but did not see the smaller blade of the crossguard lightsaber come at her. She pushed her blades up to block it before Asomei ran in, stabbing at his shoulder. Both Jedi panted before Jaune stepped back, having used a Force Illusion.
"No way." Ahsoka said.
Jaune grinned and stabbed at Asomei, who gasped before the blade impaled her in the chest.
"No!" Connor yelled. He flew straight at Jaune and punched him right in the helmet, shattering it and knocking out five teeth.
All of a sudden, Asomei appeared from behind Jaune, slashing at the other end of his lightsaber. It fell to the ground, but he picked it up and held both lightsabers at the ready.
"Asomei?" Connor asked, to which Asomei confirmed with a nod. "But… how?"
Asomei closed her eyes as a Force Illusion appeared before her. It soon took on her appearance before the Illusion opened her eyes.
"Special Martian Force Trick," Asomei said. "We project a Psychic Link with what we create, and they can take on any shape, and anyone can interact with them," she explained before she and her Illusion blocked an incoming surprise attack from Jaune once again. "Something you seemed to forget, Jaune!" they both yelled.
Jaune was about to send Lightning until Miss Martian appeared out of thin air, punching him across the face.
"Mom!" Asomei exclaimed happily.
"No one lays a hand on my daughter!" Miss Martian exclaimed.
"Okay," Ahsoka said as she and Asomei readied their lightsabers while Miss Martian activated her own two. "You guys ready?"
"You know it." Connor said, readying his enhancers over his eyes.
"Come get it." Jaune said as he spun around both of his crossguard lightsabers.
"Go!" Asomei called out, running at Jaune. Ahsoka, Miss Martian and Superboy all ran behind her at once.
Jaune Stormrunner held his stance, one hand holding a lightsaber in a reverse grip and the other aiming outwards. He spun both around before running at Asomei, clashing with her using Vaapad before sliding underneath her blade as soon as they broke off. He leapt up and performed a barrel roll to avoid a low strike from Ahsoka before locking with her and Miss Martian at the same time. Both Jedi pressed their blades against him just as Superboy sent a punch at him while he was open. He managed to kick him off, however, before spinning into the air. However, Asomei flew up and met him midair before grabbing him and tossing him to the ground.
"Had enough?" Ahsoka asked, aiming a lightsaber at Jaune.
Stormrunner chuckled. "Don't think so," he said, crimson lightning now forming from his blades. "I don't even have a scratch!" he yelled, sending forth several lightning blasts.
Ahsoka formed her shield from her Arm-Mounted Crossbow Gauntlets before countering back with several beams of light. Jaune crossed his lightsabers out in front of him and sent the blasts to the side before M'gann flew in, spinning and using Shii-Cho to push him aside. As soon as he did, Superboy sent a punch towards him with Asomei, both sending him back several feet. He grunted before Asomei landed and slashed at one of his lightsabers. While they engaged in another blade lock, she sent her special vision at him, forcing him back. He growled and sent a blast of lightning from his hands, which Ahsoka, Asomei and Miss Martian all deflected before sending it back at him, hitting him in the eye.
Jaune Stormrunner groaned as he felt his face, which was partially now burned. He looked back to his opponents and growled before charging back at them for another go.
At the same time, Katooni was charging at a Vader Trooper, who was opening fire at her. She held her lightsaber in defense, blocking the bolts before switching it to her left hand. She grabbed the Vader Trooper by the collar and tossed him into the air before kicking off of the ground. She switched her lightsaber back to her dominant hand, now using a reverse Shien grip, before slashing him to the ground. While she was still in the air, she started to spin at the Vader Trooper, slashing a new variation of the Whirlwind of Destiny. As soon as she landed, the Vader Trooper fell into three pieces, the head falling last.
"Thank you, Petro." Katooni said.
Barriss flew through the air at another Vader Trooper she was facing. The Vader Trooper started to fire a powerful beam at her, but she used her wings to block it. Landing on the ground, she redirected the blast back at him before tossing her lightsabers at him, pinning him to the ground.
"Here we go!" Barriss called out, crossing her arm out in front of her. She leapt into the air right at the Vader Trooper, performing a screw kick on his chest. He was knocked back before she kicked at the two lightsabers pinning him down, sending him sliding on the ground before they cut his arms off. She grinned and used the Force to call her weapons back to her hands soon afterwards.
At the same time, Katana was evading several slashes by another Vader Trooper. She trapped his blade with her Shadow Saber blades before disarming him of his weapon. With him disarmed, she ran in, only for him to take out a Vibro-Sword and slash at her. She ducked under it and reversed the grip of her weapons, slashing him at the waist. As soon as she got back up, she stabbed both of her blades into his chest before throwing him at Metamorpho, who pounded his body into the rest of the Vader Troopers he was facing.
"Good pass." Metamorpho complimented.
"Learned from the best." Katana grinned, sending a salute to Metamorpho.
Jessica flew down at several Vader Troopers, using a shield to catch all their blasts. She released them afterwards and formed a bike from her Lantern Ring, riding at them. She slashed at a Vader Trooper about to cut her down before shooting a beam at the rest, trapping them.
"Now!" Jessica called out.
The rest of the Young Justice tossed their Vader Troopers to the beam, causing all of them to be trapped. Jessica grinned before her bike turned into a large bullet. She rode through the Vader Troopers at top speed, and they all exploded soon afterwards.
"This is the end!" Jessica exclaimed as soon as she finished riding.
Meanwhile, Zatanna backed away from the Commandress as she relentlessly slashed at her. Zatanna gasped as she held off against every attack before taking out her wand and aiming it at her, sending a fire spell.
Prizma gasped as she was sent back. She held her place in the air and fired at Zatanna, only for Rocket to fly in and cut apart her smaller weapon. While in her stance, she spun around and cut her helmet visor before Zatanna flew up as well. Incanting a few words, she trapped Commandress Prizma in a magical orb and flipped her upside down. She and Rocket flew down, with Zatanna slamming Prizma down at the same time. Within seconds, Commandress Prizma collapsed to the ground.
"That was one tough hombre right there." Rocket mused.
At the same time, Anakin cut down several Vader Troopers with one of their own lightsabers in his hand. As soon as he cut down the last one, Obi-Wan stabbed another in the chest before kicking two more towards Mace Windu. Saw shot at two of them before Mace Windu grabbed the last one and tossed him over to the side, where he slashed at him in midair afterwards.
"Good shot, Saw." Captain Rex said.
"All in the wrist." Saw said with a grin on his face.
Ahsoka leapt at Jaune Stormrunner, gaining the attention of everyone else. She landed with both of her lightsabers, slashing low at his feet, getting sent into the air. Superboy flew up and punched him back to the ground, where Miss Martian used both of her own lightsabers to perform two downwards diagonal slashes at him. She kicked him away afterwards, where Asomei met him and performed two upwards slashes. All six slashes were sent forward, creating three SokaTan Symbols that instantly impacted on Stormrunner before he could even land on the ground again. He was sent flying back, now singed as he lay on the ground.
Asomei flew forward, using the Force to grab Stormrunner's lightsabers. She picked him up and placed two wristbands into his wrists, forming cuffs quickly. She spread her arms out, and soon, the remaining Vader Troopers, with Prizma, gained the same cuffs.
"You're under arrest for crimes against the Republic, murder, and conspiring against the Galaxy." Asomei said.
Miss Martian smiled. "That's my daughter," she said. "So… what now?"
"Well, that's the thing," Asomei said as J3 flew the Jedi Bio-Fighter towards them. "I planned on how to get here… I just didn't plan on how to get back to my time."
"Well…" Ahsoka said. "How did you get here in the first place?"
"Well, I was able to get here through some magic… by your son," Asomei recalled as she turned her attention to Robin and Zatanna. "But while he said he could get me here, he never said how I could get back."
"What would you need?" Zatanna asked.
"Can't believe we got together." Robin whispered to Zatanna, who blushed in response.
"Not sure," Asomei replied, getting Zatanna to raise an eyebrow. "He worked with a lot of power. I'd need something to recreate that."
"Wait!" Barriss exclaimed, getting everyone to turn to her. She reached into the pocket of her robes and pulled out the holocron she found while she and Anakin's team were on Tehar. "What about this?" she asked. "This didn't match any kind of holocron from the Vault at the Jedi Temple, nor did Madame Jocasta Nu recognize it when I showed it to her," she said. "Would this help?"
Asomei smiled as she looked to the holocron. "Can you bring that here, please?" she asked.
Barriss nodded. "Of course." She said as she levitated the holocron to Asomei.
Asomei grabbed the holocron and smiled. "So that was what you meant," she said with a grin. "Cal, you sly Loth-Cat," she said. "I figured there was a deeper."
"What?" Ahsoka asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Something one of the new Jedi Masters from the future said," Asomei explained as she showed the holocron. "There would be a key to the future, only in the past. I spent weeks trying to figure out what he meant. I guess I have to thank him when I get back, since I now understand."
"It's great that you now do," Miss Martian said. She and Ahsoka both placed their hands on Asomei's shoulders "Thank you, for helping me gain the confidence I needed, my daughter."
"Thank you both, for this experience," Asomei said, hugging both Ahsoka and M'gann. "I'll never forget this."
"May the Force be with you." Ahsoka said.
Asomei nodded. "Always," she said before activating the Holocron. As soon as it opened, it turned into a portal. "Well, see you around," she said before turning her skin to white. She looked back to her mother. "Don't be afraid to be who you are." She said before the holocron portal took her, J3 and the Bio-Fighter, Stormrunner, the Commandress and the remaining Vader Troopers away.
Miss Martian smiled at Ahsoka. "All things considered, I have a good feeling about the future," She said. "You?"
Ahsoka smiled. "Yeah… I do."
19 ABY…
The holocron portal opened up, with Asomei walking out. She brought Jaune Stormrunner, Commandress Prizma and the Vader Troopers behind her before grabbing the Holocron. In front of her were several other teens around her age, as well as one other with smuggler's clothes and an older Miss Martian, wearing ceremonial Jedi Robes in her colors, and an older Mon Mothma as well.
Asomei smiled before a teen with scavenger clothes combined with Jedi Robes walked over. He smiled back before the two kissed.
"I knew you could do it." The scavenger Jedi said.
"Thanks, Rowan." Asomei said before her mother walked over.
"Welcome back, Asomei," M'gann said. "You did a good job."
"Thanks, Mom," Asomei said before looking to the smuggler teen. She handed him a training lightsaber, now with the same handle on it that Anakin's lightsaber had, as well as a curved emitter and Anakin's inscription on it. "Got that just for you," she said. "Hope you like it, Ben."
Ben Solo looked up. "Thanks, Asomei," he said. "Means a lot."
"Place them on the transport," Mon Mothma said as the rest of the New Young Justice looked to her. "We shall take them for trial."
"And we will be one step closer to discovering the threat of the First Order," an elderly woman said, walking forward. "You all did good work."
"Thank you, Chancellor, General Organa," Asomei said before looking to an elderly Jedi standing next to a female Jedi with two Double-Bladed Lightsabers at her belt. "Master Shan."
"Time to discuss our next move." The older Serra said.
At an icy Planet, with several Star Destroyers surrounding it, a man wearing white armor, a gold over-shield and a helmet with a red and black visor, approached a large room. He looked up and bowed before a hologram of a large man with a damaged head appeared.
"Supreme Leader," the armored man said. "The New Young Justice have captured your hand, Jaune Stormrunner."
"Ensure his recovery, and bring him to me," Supreme Leader Snoke said. "Dajik Ren, I have sensed a new awakening… the offspring of Skywalker."
"Shall I kill him?" Dajik Ren asked.
"Leave him… to me."
Present…
"Chancellor, Count, the problem with Stormrunner has been solved," Anakin said as he and the rest of the Young Justice met with the Republic and Separatist representatives back over Coruscant through a holo-transmission. "He will not bother us anymore."
"Good. Thank you, Knight Skywalker," Padmé said. "I am sending my handmaiden with my lightsaber for you to hold onto. We have agreed on a location for peace conferences."
"Where?" Ahsoka asked.
Unknown to everyone, Darth Maul was listening in from the Ruination.
"Naboo."
"It is time," Darth Maul said as he got up. He looked to a compartment at the side of his chambers and opened it up. Inside were several lightsaber hilts. One of them resembled Obi-Wan's lightsaber during Geonosis while Savage's lightsaber was at the top of them all. He looked to Lady Shiva at his side before handing her a lightsaber. "You know who to give this to." He said while also taking Obi-Wan and even Sylas's lightsabers.
"Yes, Lord Maul," Lady Shiva said. With a curtsy bow, she disappeared into the shadows. As soon as she reappeared at an abandoned Spice Station, she activated her holo-transmitter, revealing Cad Bane. "I have a job for you, Bounty Hunter."
"Send our clone experiment to Geonosis, and dispatch the droid of Jabba to activate the factory," Darth Maul ordered several of his Death Watch Devils. "It is time… to make our next move."
Author's Notes: Well, everyone? Did you like this new Chapter? It is also a chapter for my upcoming Story, Legacy of Justice, so this Chapter may or may not be repeated when I get to that. I hope you liked this Christmas Chapter. I tried to make it better than my last one. Unfortunately, like last year, I cannot make a New Years Chapter, since my time will be put into doing a special Chapter for my birthday based off of an actual Clone Wars Story from two Video Games. I will later put up art based off of the characters for Legacy of Justice, so stay tuned on DeviantArt. Please be sure to review, rate, and as always, if you can, Private Message me for anything on the Story. After all, I'm always keen to hear from you, so long as it's positive. I won't tolerate anything negative. For now, this is SuperHeroTimeFan wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you all in 2020!
