I feel like I probably worry you all sometimes that one of these days I'm just going to hiatus and then never come back and just leave it all a mystery (It's happened to other fanfiction I've read *tear tear*)... I would never. Time flies man. Can't believe sometimes months have gone by without me updating. I dont even realize it! I'm sorry.

I've been toying with this chapter for a bit. I knew the parts I wanted to include in this chapter but lingered on finishing it because I felt like there was more I wanted to add. I'm content with what I ended up with. Doing the same with Chapter 2 of Always Mine (for anyone here who is also following that story) Hope to finish it up soon.

I REALLY want to add another chapter of Style. But I'm kind of distracted by my plans for next chapter of If He Really Knew, so I'm just not in that mindset I guess since they're different vibes. And I'm not trying to abandon There Through it All either honestly! Because I know what I want to happen there next too just finding the timmmmmme. its a struggle.

BUT still got LOTS of good stuff to go for this story so no worries here! I'm pumped. Enjoy!

"Jace!" Clary cried out. She dropped her forehead against his headboard, right between her hands that were death gripped around the top. "You know," She panted. "I thought you were just trying to really make things up to me, at first. But now, I'm wondering if this is some erotic punishment."

Jace bit at her shoulder. "I think you deserve a little punishment, don't you? After all, technically I did nothing wrong and yet, had to go weeks without hearing those little sounds you make." He murmured mischievously. Clary was kneeling, braced against the headboard of his bed and Jace had her pinned there mercilessly. One hand reached in between her legs so that his long fingers were plunged inside her. His other hand reached around her front, taking turns tweaking her small nipples and rolling her swollen clit.

He curled his fingers inside of her once more, and she buckled into his hand with a trembling whimper. "You should learn to trust me more." He drawled.

"I trust you to give me a brain aneurism." She gasped. Clary had lost count of orgasms about an hour ago. Jace was unrelenting and it felt like more than her body could handle. Although, she had yet to beg him to stop. It was painfully good and the more he made her cum the more she wanted to cum again.

"Well, your weeping pussy seems to trust me impeccably." He whispered. His teeth pulled her earlobe just as his fingertips pressed and worked hard circles on over-sensitive bud. Pleasure shocked through her once more like hot fire. Her hips twitched wildly, like they couldn't decide to pull away or press further into his touch. A string of strangled curses spilled from her lips.

A soft melody played nearby and Jace finally released her to address it. She collapsed to her stomach on the mattress, taking deep breaths. The two of them had slept all of two-hours, before Jace's hungry hands started stroking her curves once more. It was their third attempt, to get out of bed and go clean up, that had ended with her thighs covered in more bodily fluids.

"It's your Dad." Jace announced from somewhere by the dresser.

"Let it go to voicemail. I'm usually still asleep this early, anyway." She mumbled with her face buried in the pillows and hidden under wild curls.

"Answer it." Jace ordered, placing the phone to her ear all of a sudden.

Startled, Clary sputtered, wiping hair out of her face. "Hi, Daddy!" She piped.

Behind her, Jace grabbed the sides of her hips, jerking her back to her knees. His hips met hers at the same time and he stuffed his cock right into her.

Clary's mouth fell open into a silent gasp of shock, while Valentine rattled on in her ear about how she never replied to his email.

"Brunch?" She cleared her throat, "I didn't know that was a legitimate invite." She choked out, trying to sound normal despite the fact that Jace was furiously railing her from behind. "Could we maybe reschedule?"

Valentine chattered senselessly in reply. Clary was preoccupied though, dipping her back so that Jace's angle slammed right into her G-spot. Her eyes rolled back as she bit her lip to hold back the cry of ecstasy.

"Fine." She groaned. "Yes, Daddy. I'm coming." She added, exasperated.

"Oh, shit." Jace grunted behind her. His strong hands grasped her waist and his hard hips pressed once more into her.

"I'll see you soon." Clary muttered, before hanging up. She peeked at him inquisitively over her shoulder. "Did you just cum at hearing me say that?" She asked, mildly appreciating the view. Jace still kneeled tall, but his head had fallen back as he drew in ragged breaths from his release. The muscles of his shoulders and torso were all bulged and flexed. "I wasn't even talking to you, pervert." She added.

"Yeah," Jace rasped. "That surprised me, too. I think I underestimated my desire to dominate you." He admitted, looking at her thoughtfully. "Welp! The more you know." He said to himself cheerfully and wacked her across the ass hard enough to make her hiss.

She rolled over to her back and stretched while Jace checked his own phone. "Why is it that men are so into dominating?" She mused.

Jace shrugged and sat on the side of the bed. "Primal instinct. Why are you so into being dominated?" He challenged.

Clary made a face. "Good point." She crawled over to him and pressed her bare chest over his back, hugging him. "Maybe we should switch things up just to make sure of our preferences. I could peg you?" She offered kindly as if it were casual custom.

Jace laughed loudly. "You get to stick a dick up my ass but I don't get to stick one up yours, yet? That seems unfair." He growled. In a swift predatory move, he had her pinned back on the mattress beneath him.

"Yet?" She asked meekly, propped up on her forearms.

"Yet." Jace affirmed, his grin devilish. His hand slid down between them once more. Only this time, two fingers slid into her wet channel and his third finger prodded the tight hole just below, before sliding in up to his knuckle.

Clary moaned, her head falling back. "How are you not finished with me, yet?"

"Are you complaining?" Jace goaded, retracting his hand. Her hand shot out to still his wrist, while she smirked at him.

Jace beamed at her and pulled his hand away, regardless. Though, instead he cupped her face. Clary didn't even care that his hands were damp and smelled heavy of their mixed arousal, it only made her inner walls clench more.

"I think I made it pretty clear that I wasn't finished with you, back when you started dating Sebastian." He pointed out while kissing her softly.

"I'm sorry that I make things harder than they need to be." She simpered, sticking out her bottom lip for Jace to nibble, while she massaged her fingers along his scalp.

Jace ran the bridge of his nose along her jaw, inhaling deeply. "We really do need to get you cleaned up this time if we don't want to be late for brunch." He sighed as if faced with leaving the bed disappointed him.

He scooped her up in a cradle, nonetheless, and carried her to the shower. As they soaked in the water, Jace admonished her for getting him riled up again, when she peppered kisses along his torso. And he stilled her hand when her grip found his hardened length and stroked him. How was he ever supposed to get her clean? However, when she dropped to her knees in front of him, he ran out of arguments. She even let him spill his seed down her chin and neck. The sight was better than he could have imagined.

Refocusing his attention, he soaped a rag and set to work scrubbing her clean. The meticulousness of it apparently made her giggle. He didn't miss a nook or cranny, even the ones that made her blush. But Jace didn't care, he wanted to know every part of her like a road map. He wanted no boundaries between them. The time without her had been torturous and now that he had her willingly back in his arms, he intended to brand her fucking soul.

If Clary thought Jace on the morning after they admitted they had feelings for each other was sweet, this morning trumped all of that. They had barely taken their hands off each other for minutes at time. Jace seemed all kinds of infatuated and possessive of her and she couldn't say she didn't like it. It made her realize how tense she had been the weeks without him, around him, with Sebastian etc. She could not think of a time where she had felt as calm and at peace than when it was just them, being together. After their talk and embrace the night before, Clary felt the guilt and frustration from the desire for him melt away. Jace wanted her, only wanted her. Really wanted her. She could see that flame of passion like a torch behind his eyes, that seared through his lips with every kiss. It made it okay let that same torch burn inside her.

They parked Jace's truck in Valentine's private reserved section and then took the private elevator up to his penthouse. Jace held her hand confidently, leading the way. As soon the elevator doors closed, Jace lifted her chin and pressed a light kiss to her lips. Before he could pull away, Clary hooked an arm around his neck and with a jump she wrapped her legs around his waist, while desire coiled in her belly once more. Perhaps "addicted" really was the best word to describe her feelings for him. It was as if she had been putting herself through rehab for weeks and now that she had fallen off the wagon, she had every intention of binging.

Jace held her up easily with a smile and maneuvered the bouquet he had insisted buying for Camille out of the way. "You know we're going to have to tone this down in front of my dad." She commented, her rationale always fighting her body.

"Yeah. He probably wouldn't like me so much anymore." He chuckled. Clary dropped her feet back down to the floor but Jace kept a firm hand on her behind.

"Oh, and technically I'm cheating on my boyfriend. So, that's great." She added sarcastically. Supposedly, Sebastian deserved it but the thought of her predicament made her stomach sour.

"Just text him." Jace snorted.

"I'm not going to just break up with him over a text. That's shitty."

"Whatever." He grunted. "But the sooner the better. I don't necessarily feel great about it either."

The doors pinged open and Clary strolled into her father's foyer. Valentine and Camille called the two of them into the kitchen where their cook was preparing a huge spread, enough for much more than four people. Camille gushed over the lovely flowers that Jace gifted her. Clary couldn't help but stare at the baby bump that had formed under Camille's blouse. The idea that it was her sibling growing inside there was incredibly daunting. The only other person who had been like a sibling to her... she was sleeping with.

She visibly gagged, the thought making her nauseous. Jace gave her a concerned look, of which she waved off. Valentine and Jace talked sports immediately which somehow led into stock market trends. She listened curiously to their conversation, fascinated by the vibe. Camille caught her attention and asked what she was currently working on in art class. Clary was skeptical of Camille's enthusiasm but indulged her.

Jace picked up a piece of bacon from the shared plate but offered it to Clary first. She took a bite of it from his hand and he smirked before popping the rest of it in his mouth.

There was a buzz in the other room from the intercom that connected to the building's front desk. Clary heard Valentine's voice. "Yes. Go ahead and send him up."

"Who else is here, Daddy?" She questioned. It wasn't uncommon for Valentine to invite his friends to a large brunch.

"Your boyfriend, of course." Her father replied.

Clary shot a panicked look to Jace. "Okay, I definitely thought your invite to him was sarcastic!" She declared. "Why wouldn't you have said something to me first? Daddy, I'm going to break up with him!"

Valentine munched on a piece of bacon, thoughtfully. "A wise choice, My dear. Although, I recommend doing it after brunch. Lest it be awkward." He suggested completely unbothered.

"Lest it be awkward..." Clary grumbled to herself, mocking her father's lunacy. She stormed for the door, Jace's hand brushing down her arm before she went. Maybe she could talk to him right away. Lying still wasn't a strong suit for her and she didn't know how she was supposed to canoodle with Sebastian and pretend like Jace had not just recently relayed claim on every inch of her.

Jace watched Clary leave the kitchen and anger fizzled in his chest. He didn't want to see Sebastian ever touch her again.

"You don't approve of her dating your friend?" Valentine observed, his hard stare studying him.

"No, Sir." Jace admitted.

Valentine grunted a sigh and stepped closer to Jace, intimidatingly so. "Tell me right now, Son. Is your friend trouble?" He demanded.

Jace admired Valentine for many of his professional ethics but mostly for how he treated his daughter. With protectiveness and adoration. The unconditional kind of love. He wasn't ignorant to think that his daughter could do no wrong. But it was clear that there was no wrong she could do that would ever lessen her father's affection. Nothing that would make him turn her away or leave her behind... Perhaps, a father and son relationship was different. Stephan loved him, but it was different. But it would have been nice to feel that confident in at least one parent.

"No, Sir. Seb's a good guy. He means well." He answered truthfully, not wanting to completely trash his friend because of his own jealousy.

"Then what's the problem?" Jace had the feeling that Valentine had his own reasons for disapproving, he was merely curious of Jace's.

"I think they're ill matched." He said trying to think of an appropriate response. Although a more accurate answer would have been that she was only matched for Jace. "I think he's doesn't always make the best decisions but, he's young."

That made Valentine chuckle and he took a sip from his mimosa. "So are you, my boy."

Jace smirked. "Yes, but I know how to take care of my priorities." He thought about how Sebastian had lied and carelessly ditched Clary for some stripper.

Valentine stared at Jace for a long moment. "And Clary is one of those priorities." It was a statement not a question. Did Valentine know? Jace was very good at masking his emotions but he felt it slip every time he looked at the feisty red-head. As if, how he felt for her was too much to bottle up.

"Yes, Sir." Jace replied anyway, confidently holding the man's gaze.

Clary paced by the elevator waiting for it to open. When it finally did, Sebastian grinned at her and tried to step out but she put a hard hand on his chest and shoved him back inside of it. She pressed the 'Door Close' button. "We need to talk." She declared, crossing her arms to face him.

Sebastian frowned and reached out for her waist only for Clary to jerk away, her glare of disapproval fixed. "Babe, can we go inside, please? I'm sure your dad is already annoyed at me for being late."

"Doesn't matter. You lied to me. You lied about me. You are a liar. You have no idea how much I don't want to date a liar, Sebastian." She articulated. Indignation simmered under her skin but could not reach a boil. Not when she knew that her heart had not been in it with Sebastian from the beginning. Best to just get it over with.

"Uhm, I'm not sure what you're talking about." He stuttered.

It was probably true. He could have lied to her about more things than she knew. "I know you didn't go to bible study last night, Izzy already told me the football team was going to Fortune of Edom. And also, I know you were telling people we slept together. You think people don't talk?" She tried to put some bite in her words but honestly, she just sounded bored.

Sebastian sighed, and used a hand to massage his eyes. "God, Clary, I'm so sorry." He uttered. "You're right, I've been a dick. But I promise nothing but honesty from here on out." He assured her, grasping both her hands in his and kissing them.

Clary thawed, feeling a mix of guilt and pity. "Seb... I just don't think this is working out for me. We need to just be friends."

Sebastian quickly enveloped her in his arms. He hurriedly whispered into her hair. "Clary, no please, that's all I've lied about. And it was a mistake. I want to fix this. Don't give up on this, already."

Clary hugged him back and let him hold her while she sadly furrowed her brow. Things were so confusing. Was Sebastian really asking anything different than Jace had? Besides the fact that Jace had actually been telling the truth. And she was ready to trust that. But maybe it wasn't just Jace she tried to push away, maybe it had been Simon too, maybe it was all men? Then was Jace really special? Maybe he was just the most insistent. No, Jace was different. Between them was more than sex and more than friendship... and yet less than anything possible.

The elevator doors suddenly dinged open and casually there stood Jace, smirking at them. However, Clary didn't miss the fuming of his eyes that darted between the embraced couple.

"So sorry to interrupt." He sounded none too sorry.

Sebastian loosened his hold on Clary. Although, it seemed he planned to keep a secure arm around her shoulders. And he should not have been surprised when Clary shook it off.

"What are you doing here?" Sebastian haughtily complained.

Jace looked around, baffled. "I was actually invited." He retorted.

Clary rolled her eyes. She felt exhausted already just being in the same room with them. Two boys were fighting over her and they didn't even know it. And she didn't even deserve it. She deserved neither of them. But could no longer deny that she whole heartedly only wanted one.

Clary hugged herself, feeling the works of a building headache. "Sebastian we're done. You should leave." She insisted, strutting out of the elevator doors and past Jace.

"I'm going with him." He announced to her surprise. "Can't leave my friend to wallow by himself after you have so savagely crushed his heart." He stepped in the elevator next to Sebastian, whom refused to make eye-contact with either of them. Jace winked at Clary before the doors closed between them. Before they could shut, he shot out a hand to stall them. "Oh, and just to be extra clear, I'm just going to hang out with my friend, not sleep with a bunch of bimbos."

Clary cocked her head to side, menacingly. "Too soon, Herondale." She seethed as the doors pinged closed.

"What was that?" Sebastian grunted, giving Jace a side eye.

Jace composed himself. "Just an inside joke." He waved off. "I'm sorry to see things didn't work out between you two, by the way."

Sebastian rolled his eyes. "Are you really?"

"Not at all." Jace replied, brushing himself of lint. His friend scoffed, storming out of the elevator and Jace followed. "Oh, come on! She's just girl. No need to go getting all heart broken. I'm going to buy you a drink and you'll be fine." He assured.

Exasperated, Sebastian shook his head but apparently had nothing better to do. Yet, he was still moping when they reached the closet dive bar.

"Seb," Jace drawled, irritated. "It's not like she's the first girlfriend you have ever had. I told you she was too much to handle." Bad. He was a bad friend. "Case a point, you sleeping with someone else."

"I told you that was a mistake!" Sebastian bellowed, defensively. Then he groaned. "No, you're right... I know you think she's annoying but there is something about her that I can't get over." He confessed. "And I fucked it up."

"Yeah..." Jace mumbled, taking another drink. Clary did annoy him. In a way he couldn't get enough of, however. Guilt buried deep in his chest and he tried to argue that it didn't belong there. Technically, he had had Clary first. They were way more intimate than she had ever gotten with Sebastian. Although... Sebastian had been flirting with her before Jace even entertained the idea. And Jace wasn't even allowed to have her so who was really in the wrong here? "But best way to get over her is to get with someone else." He added, grabbing for Sebastian's phone. "Let's call Jessamine. Or one of the other hundred girls in your phone." Jace scrolled through his contacts. "Who is 'Girl with the Blue G-string?' She sounds nice."

"You know what? I'm going to win her back." Sebastian suddenly announced. "I'll give her the space she wants but I don't think things are done for us."

Jace watched his friend speak confidently. And with dismay, he cursed quietly to himself. What if Sebastian was just as whipped as he?

Clary didn't see Jace the rest of day. He even spent the night at Sebastian's because apparently men needed even more consoling than a woman.

At school the next day, she waited impatiently at her locker with her heavy Calculus book in hand. She assumed Jace would stop by to swap books, now that they were on good terms again. But there was no sight of him. The hall had emptied of students and she stood there awkwardly in the echoing silence.

She exhaled in frustration and slammed her locker. Just as she turned around, Jace appeared, striding down the empty corridor.

"Took you long enough." She spouted. But Jace fast held a finger to his lips. He didn't slow his pace, either. Instead, he caught her arm as he barreled by and dragged her with him around the corner. With a little shove, he had her pressed into the shadowed nook of the door to the janitor's closet. His mouth fell swiftly upon hers, his tongue breaching her lips. Fire lit up in Clary's stomach. She held the strong square of his jaw in her hands and equally devoured him. All too soon, they're kissed slowed and he pulled away with a satisfied hum.

"Did you show up so late, just so that you could kiss me?" She questioned.

"Yep. Didn't think I would make it through the day, otherwise." He said, stealing another smooch.

Clary fought her grin. "The sappy things you say make me embarrassed for you." She teased.

Jace snorted. "Good because I'm not embarrassed at all." He replied. His eye contact was always clear and confident, almost challenging. Daring her to declare that she was just as equally obsessed.

The last bell rang overhead. "We're late for class." She announced the obvious.

"And since when do you care about tardiness?" He countered, his lamented eyes roaming around her face and neck.

Clary poked her head out from their private corner and gazed cautiously down each length of the hall. "Someone could easily catch us."

Jace pressed closer once more, his elbow braced predatorily above her head. "I thought that was the part of this you liked best." He purred.

"No, that's the part you like best." She gibed, poking his chest. Jace caught her hand, and laced their fingers.

"Oh, babe..." He breathed. "I think you can guess what part I like best." He insinuated while he pressed their clasped hand between them and trailed it tightly down her stomach before pressing it to the small gap between her legs. Clary's breathing hitched.

"Your intelligence, obviously." Jace replied abruptly, backing away from her.

Clary chucked a laugh at his teasing, before catching his collar and dragging his mouth back for another taste. She inhaled deeply, letting him consume her. "You know, you always smell pretty good for someone who's so full of shit." Her lips muttered against him.

Jace chuckled. "Your scent arouses me too." He replied.

"That's not what I said." She futilely argued with a smile. "You make it sound like we're animals."

"Well, when you give me those bedroom eyes, the word 'tiger' comes to mind." He maintained. Clary felt hot. On her skin and beneath it. She struggled to remember that they were in the hall of their school building.

Jace's lips curled to a smirk and then found her ear for a rasping whisper. "And when you get all flushed like that, all I can think about is—" The soft tapping of footsteps filtered down the hall, causing the couple to spring apart.

"Here's your book! Don't make me wait on you next time." Clary declared loudly, flinging the heavy text at him. She didn't even wait for him to take out his History book to trade. She darted for the nearest stairwell.

Jace's laughter followed her. "Part you like best, remember!" He called. Clary's scoff echoed through the open stairwell.

At lunch time, Clary found her seat among her friends. Pleased with the casual conversation, the usual trending topics. Of course, until she realized she was one of them.

"Sebastian's still not here. Think he's too heartbroken to show up?" Isabelle prodded.

Clary rolled her eyes. "I'm sure he's already over it." Jace plopped down next to her right then, one arm draping over her shoulders. He said casual greetings to everyone. "Oh, he's over it." He contributed, having overheard. "He was sexting 'Girl with the Blue G-string' well into the night."

"He was or you were for him?" Clary narrowed her eyes and interrogated.

"I'm better with words." He grinned at her, shamelessly.

Isabelle gazed curiously at the two of them. "I see you two are friends again." She noted.

"Whoever said we weren't?" Jace demanded, picking through Clary's fries.

"Whoever said we were?" She countered with a snort.

It was Isabelle's turn to roll her eyes. "Yes, nobody has time for your sibling drama anymore." She insisted with a hair toss and started to badger Jace about Sebastian's "mental state."

Magnus leaned over to Clary, a hand poised under his chin. "You know, if you're not careful, some might think you're more than friends." He put in with a cat like grin. Clary cut him a harsh glare, simultaneously shouldering off Jace's arm.

Jace made no reaction. Instead, he directed his attention across the table cutting through conversation.

"Tessa, have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He entreated, earning curious glances. "Jem, is very lucky."

Tessa, who had blushed furiously, looked like a deer caught in headlights. "Oh, we've been hanging out but we're just really good friends." She answered.

"Oh?" Jace's eyes bounced with delight. "Maybe you would let me take you out, then?"

Shocked by his suggestion, without thinking, Tessa's eyes slid to Clary sitting next to the boy. However, she was busy studying Jace while chewing on the end of a pretzel stick. Jace continued before Tessa could reply, "Are you a fan of plays?" He questioned, sounding ever the more interested.

"Yesss..." Tessa sibulated, weary.

Her hesitation made Jace chuckle. "You the know the rumors about me aren't all true. I would be the perfect gentleman. It's the girls who get frisky." He winked. "But I'm sure if we got some drinks in you like at pandemonium, we could get there." Tessa's mouth fell open and she looked down self-consciously.

"Jace. Don't be a dick." Will's hard voice roared from a couple seats down, out of nowhere. This only made Jace grin. And Clary, who had been furiously scrutinizing the mischievous golden-boy, finally understood what he was doing.

"Jealous, Will?" Jace countered. "Maybe we could double. I'm sure Clary here, would be happy to date another one of my friends." He subtly gibed. The petite one next to him huffed, and socked him hard in the arm.

Will grumbled. "I think Tess and I would fare better without the two of you, thanks."

Jace sighed in resign. "Fine, you two have a good time together, then." Tessa glanced around bewildered. Had she just settled on a date with Will? When she met Jace's eye, he winked. And she smiled secretly in a silent thank you.

Jace got up to throw away Clary's empty lunch tray, which she realized they had just shared. She followed after him. "That was mean." She scolded.

Jace scoffed. "I did that for you. You wanted me to play match-maker and get them together, did you not?"

"Was embarrassing Tessa really necessary?" She insisted.

They huddled by the water fountains. "Unfortunately." He nodded. "But it got the job done. Sometimes you can't rely on one's own foresight. They need pushed in the right direction. Tessa wants a prince in shining armor. Will wants to be that prince. So, I gave him the opportunity to rescue his damsel. It's called strategy. I could have been a real villain and tied to her to the train tracks. But that seemed only slightly over the top." He joked.

"It's called manipulation, Jace." Clary pronounced.

"Potato, Po-ta-to." He affirmed, tapping a finger on her small, freckled nose.

Clary cocked her head, curiously. "Have you been manipulating, me?" She demanded.

"Probably." Jace nodded, thoughtfully. "It comes so naturally, I do it without even think." Clary's mouth fell open in an offended gasp that made him laugh aloud. "I'm teasing!" He avowed, fighting the urge to grab her waist. Clary smirked back at him, shaking her head at his incessant humor. "I've probably tried." He admitted, softly. "And somehow you always turn the table on me, and I end up struck, begging for whatever you have to offer... Remember?"

His red-head licked at her bottom lip, her eyes dropping to his mouth. The thought of a hungry tiger came to mind once more. Yet, he was very aware that they were still in the open common area, exposed to any preying eyes. "Later." Jace lamented. Clary blinked, as if woken from a trance and pink color spilled over her cheeks.

Jace's eyes cast behind her and spotted Sebastian, who had decided to finally make an appearance. Clary had not been wrong about Jace being the one to insist on texting the other girl. Sebastian showed little interest, much to his disappointment. "Speaking of playing match-maker. He's my next target. Apparently, you've worked a similar witch craft on him." He nodded in the boy's direction. Clary peered behind her to see Sebastian approach their lunch table.

"Glad to see you do have a conscience after all." She muttered, giving Jace a pointed look. "Fixing him up going to relieve the guilt of sleeping with your best friend's girlfriend?" Clary hit that button just for pay back of the gibes he had been sending her.

"What else am I supposed to do? Let you go? It's become apparent, that's not an option." He defended, sounding irritated by the situation. Clary was only pleased he was finally experiencing the same sour taste in his mouth.

Sebastian looked around the cafeteria, till he spotted the two of them there talking. "I got to go. I'll pick you up from work later." He told Clary, before shoving off the wall. She watched as he met Sebastian at the exit, and the two boys walked out together.

So lets recap: A lot of intimacy there in the beginning. Damn.

And then, interesting to see Jace realizing that maybe Clary's right. Things aren't so simple. They could hurt the people close to them. Is it worth it to him? Obvi. But still lol Anyone feeling bad for Seb or nah?

I could write the banter between them all day. Personally, I love it. I like the mix of sweet and sour they always have going on.

Question though. Was this an okay transition from last chapter? I DID want to demonstrate how they could so seamlessly slip back into the bond between them but I didnt want it to seem unrealisitic.

Love hearing your reviews, and how much everyone enjoys this story! Really inspires me so thank you! Also love getting PMs with questions or predictions!
