"AAAAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHH! ! ! ! ! ! ! !" Just as the Charizards put the crowns on the princesses' heads, they heard a bloodcurdling scream. They then ran (as did the rest of the SWAT team, and the other Pokémon) to the scream. It had come from a Chikorita in one of the closets; a Purrloin had hanged himself; and Chikorita, Riolu, and Eevee had found him, and he was already beginning to stink. Riolu sighed, "I told him not to tell anyone about the horrible conditions here, but he did anyway, and this is the result."

Just then, the SWAT team showed up and examined the evidence. Mrs. Sceptile said, "Hmm, that's a simple suicide case." But Mrs. Meganium wasn't so sure. "First, I want to interview all the Pokémon living here." So the SWAT team dispersed and rounded up all the Pokémon living in the orphanage. Mr. Meganium asked Chikorita, Riou, and Eevee, because they had slept in the same room with Purrloin, "Do you know why he took his own life?" All three of them denied it, but Mr. Meganium thought, "These little Pokémon are terrified...they're hiding something from us." Even with the elders arrested, they were still too afraid to tell the SWAT team the truth. As a matter of fact, almost everyone else denied any knowledge of the sordid affair. Houndoom, however, did describe the terrible living conditions of the orphanage and the abuse the elders inflicted on the Pokémon.

Mr. Meganium then said, "Only one Pokémon gave us a straight answer, and he was very condemnatory of this place. I think we need to press additional charges." Mrs. Charizard then said, "Meganium, this orphanage has an almost perfect record and it's rated tops in the Kinoko Region." He retorted, "Almost perfect? What happened?" "Well, two weeks ago, a Wooloo committed suicide here." "Suicide?" asked Houndoom, "I thought Wooloo died from lack of medical attention!" Just as Mrs. Charizard was about to scold him for interrupting, Mr. Meganium said, "That's a red flag! I'm performing an autopsy ASAP." Then he performed the autopsy on Purrloin, after asking the other Pokémon to leave. "This Pokémon had a terrible life, Charizard! He has a history of broken bones, fresh bruises, and severe internal organ damage!" "What are you going to do?" "Press charges." Then Princess Peach came in and said, "Don't forget to also charge them with mass kidnapping and arson!" Princess Daisy added, "Especially against the princesses! And you should have heard them talking about signing over the kingdoms of the Kinoko Region!" Gene gasped. "That constitutes treason!" And so they pressed the charges.

Judge Fairchild was unable to take the case. When Team Elder committed the mass kidnapping and arson, they actually killed him! Their intent was for Judge Pebble to take the case and acquit them. They even said as much in jail..."You'll never get away with this!! Judge Pebble will never allow this!! We'll call him, he'll take the case and put a stop to your disrespect once and for all!!" But the thing was..."Judge Pebble is one of those on trial for his role in this mass crime. You'll need to call a lawyer to get you out of this, and I don't think you will get out, you monsters!" On hearing that Pebble couldn't take the case, the elders panicked! They knew that no other judge would ever acquit them for their crimes, not giving them the respect they felt they "were automatically entitled to," just because they were elders, and that was that.

December 9...

Princess Peach, being one of the princesses of the Kinoko region, took the case herself!! Because this was criminal court, the State was the prosecutor. They wasted no time stating the charges: innumerable counts of Pokémon abuse, along with several counts of breaking and entering, kidnapping, arson, murder, and worst of all, treason. Throughout the trial, the Marion Town elders complained, "This is exactly what's wrong with society today! This is why children and Pokémon are so disrespectful these days! No one is allowed to discipline them anymore! $#$ those @%$# Pokémon rights activists! There was no activism in our day! Everyone did exactly as authority said! And children were happy and obedient doormats for all adults! There was no backtalk in our day! Today's parents allow children to misbehave like crazy! Our parents never gave us any freedom! They gave us a whoopin for the slightest bad behavior, and we're all the better for it!" and so on. Of course, that didn't get them anywhere, especially with charges of Pokémon abuse, mass kidnapping, arson, murder, and treason.

The jury easily decided that Team Elder was guilty as charged. Peach would have executed them, had not Rosalina talked her into giving them a chance to repent. So every last member of Team Elder was sentenced to life in prison, and the Marion Town Orphanage was condemned. You're probably thinking, "Why was Bowser never sentenced to life in prison? He always kidnaps Princess Peach and never repents!" Well, the answer to that is, "He's too powerful, intimidating, and friendly to a degree. And besides, he's another king, and can successfully defend his kingdom, while Team Elder were supposed to be subservient to Princesses Peach and Daisy." Everyone else cheered at the putting away of Team Elder. That meant they could finally make decisions without the fear that the elders would beat them senseless. There was a great celebration in Toadtown Square after Team Elder was placed in the dungeons of Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and Bowser.

However, the day was not over. The Pokémon of the Marion Town Orphanage were put up for adoption...in Peach's Castle Courtyard! Yoshi arrived, having lost the Kinoko League Championship to Tiny, the muscle-bound former Dune Town golf champ.

-- Flashback, at Amanita Stadium--

"Dragonair is unable to battle! Machamp is the winner! The Kinoko Region has a new champion! And his name is Tiny Nui!" The audience erupted into wild cheering as Tiny defeated Yoshi in his biggest Pokémon battle ever.

--End flashback--

Yoshi told everyone about the Amanita Conference, obviously disappointed at his loss, but impressed with the Pokémon he'd faced, especially Go's Cinderace, whom he'd deemed the most impressive of his opponents. He decided, "If I cannot lecraim the championship within foul yeals (four years), i wirr letile flom Pokémon tlaining and settre down." Having released four of his Pokémon, he decided to adopt a Beldum, an Exeggcute, a Sobble, and a Tyrunt to replace them. And then he said, "I'm grad to adopt these foul, but I learry must get home to my cookie factory." Then Mario decided to adopt Growlithe, followed by Azalea adopting Chikorita (who turned out to be Bayleef's long-lost brother, the egg Team Elder had stolen from the Meganiums), and Sherry adopting Riolu. Then the sound of Bowser's Clown Copter sounded across the land. Peach's Sylveon ran to her trainer's side, soon joined by her mother, Peach's original Glaceon. Fortunately, Bowser was not there to kidnap Peach, but rather to adopt a Pokémon, namely, Houndoom. Then Donkey Kong adopted a Grookey, Luigi an Electrike, Wario a Snubbull, Waluigi a Poochyena...I will not go into all the details because that would take too long. But Sylveon and Glaceon were so happy to be reunited, they shared a long, tearful mother-daughter hug and then rejoined their trainer, Peach.

At the end, only Eevee remained. He had a sad look on his face. The guards said, "Sorry, Eevee. You weren't adopted, so we have to transfer you to the Dune Town Orphanage for Pokémon." But Eevee wouldn't budge; he knew that he belonged to Toad, and that Team Elder had stolen him. The guards tried to drag him over to the truck when Toad showed up. Eevee perked up, broke free, and jumped into Toad's arms. Boy, were they happy to see each other! They hugged and laughed, and Eevee was so excited, he peed all over Toad! But Toad was too happy to mind. The guards then said, "Toad, you do know Eevee peed on you, don't you?" Eevee blushed in slight embarrassment, but Toad assured him, "It was an accident. It's okay." Then Eevee, not wanting to get in further trouble, jumped onto a nearby trash can and pooped in it, much to the amusement of Toad and the guards. Then Toad took Eevee and bade the guards farewell.

Eventually, after all the Pokémon were adopted, Bayleef, Charizard, Grovyle and their parents approached Neil, Ella, and Mario. The Meganiums then told Neil, "You were the one who rescued Bayleef from Team Elder, and you were the one she bonded with. We would be honored if you would re-adopt our daughter, so she can bond with you further. Don't worry about us. We're still working for the government, and we have no time to raise a family. We will start a new family when we retire. Please do this for us." And the Sceptiles said similar stuff about their son, Grovyle. And so, Neil and Ella adopted Bayleef and Grovyle, who were super happy to be back with their human family. Bayleef was just as happy to have Ella as her mom as Grovyle was to have Neil as his dad. And the Charizards refused to reclaim their son, believing that he, along with their daughter (his sister), would be in good hands with Mario taking care of them. Not only did they continue to work for the government, but they also knew Mario would do a much better job of taking care of their children than they ever could. So Mario took them both in, along with his new Growlithe.

When Neil and Ella got to their new home, in Mushroom Town, Bayleef and Grovyle were just as surprised to see it pre-furnished (by Peach's troops, with help from Neil's and Ella's parents) as Neil and Ella were. Bayleef and Grovyle got separate bedrooms, both with jungle theming, and they were very excited. But they were very tired after such a long day, and Neil and Ella ate dinner with them as a family, and then they put their "new" Pokémon to bed (they quickly and happily feel asleep).

The next morning,

Neil and Ella gave Bayleef and Grovyle a delicious breakfast, and then, they had a special announcement. Ella said, "I wasn't feeling very well this morning. Neil asked me what was wrong, and I told him I was nauseous...I know, he corrected me and said 'nauseated.' So I investigated, and ... I'm pregnant." Bayleef gasped in shock and excitement, but Grovyle asked, "What's pregnant?" Neil answered, "It means your mom has conceived a baby." Grovyle asked what kind, and Ella couldn't help but laugh. "Human, of course!" Neil added, "Our species. Homo sapiens." Bayleef squealed, "Oooohhh, I can't wait to see the egg!" Neil laughed so hard he fell over. "We humans have live birth," said Ella, "which means we don't hatch from eggs."

And so, Bayleef and Charizard's victory is complete. Team Elder will no longer terrorize the Kinoko Region, the people and Pokémon can now live happy, peaceful, worry-free lives, and bonds between Pokémon and trainers are forming and strengthening. And to top it off, Neil and Ella are expecting a baby! Are Bayleef and Grovyle a good warm-up for that?

I do not like many of the Pokédex entries (such as Gengar was once human, Mew was the ancestor of all Pokémon, Houndoom inflicts wounds that never heal, Arceus allegedly created the Pokémon universe, Chandelure burns souls in its chandelier, or especially Pumpkaboo's and Marshadow's entries). I understand that there's been a lot of controversy surrounding Pokémon. I believe that Jesus Christ died for each and every one of us. If I have offended anyone by my writings, let me know.
