Sorry its been soooo long since I updated this, in that time I have had my 5th (And last) Child, so been a little busy. Hopefully you enjoy :)
Rachel and Eddie, were loving the wedding planning, they had decided to get married during the Easter Holidays in Ireland. It was a Wednesday evening a few weeks into the school year, things had started to calm down and the family were getting used to being together.
Rachel was sitting in the living room with her laptop doing some work, Michael was out with some friends,Isabella was upstairs and Becca was asleep and Eddie was due home from work shortly.
She sat the laptop on the table when she heard the door open.
"Hi Love" Rachel called, Eddie came in and placed his arms around her and placed a kiss on her head before sitting next to her.
"I'll get you some dinner, there is leftover lasagna in the microwave" Rachel said as she went to get up, but Eddie pulled her back down and started to kiss her they were getting heated until they heard the Bella come in and quickly pulled away.
"Dad, can I get an Ipad?" Bella asked
"No, they are expensive"
"But everyone else has one, and I want one since im not allowed a phone"
"You can get a phone when your 12"
"Mum, tell him, I'm the only kid at school who doesn't have a phone" Bella complained
"Why do you need a phone?, and I don't want to hear because everyone else has one" Rachel said
"Because, I want to talk to my friends"
"You can use the house phone to talk to them when your not at school" Eddie said
"But everyone can hear what I say" Bella complained
"You are 11 years old, there shouldn't be anything you are saying that we can't hear" Eddie responded.
"Listen honey, phones are a big responsibility and we need to think about it and discuss it first"
"But Michael has one?"
"That's different, he is older, and he got it when he was 13" Eddie said with his voice starting to rise, Rachel placed her hand on his shoulder. Eddie hated that his little girl was growing up and he was shattered from work.
"Isabella, I have already told you, we will discuss it first, and I thought I told you to go wash your hair after dinner?"
"But I washed it on Friday" Bella complained,
"I know, but it needs washed again, if you go and do it just now, I will dry and straighten it for you"
"Fine" she said before heading up to the bathroom
"I don't know what has got into her lately, she is worse than her brother was at that age" Eddie said
"She is a girl, they hit puberty before boys" Rachel said
"I know, but I just don't feel like she listens to a word I say, she is in a constant mood, its like I need to walk on egg shells" Eddie was worried, he missed the way his daughter was before.
"Oh love, you need to remember it's not going to be like this forever, and its not a garden of roses for her either, this is a really hard time in a girls life, she is going through some major changes, I will have a chat with her" Rachel said, before turning the TV on, and the 2 of them sat and chatted for a while until Isabella came back downstairs she had already blow dried her hair.
"Mum, can you straighten my hair please"
"Sure Love, come on over here" Rachel said as Eddie made himself scare and finally heated the lasagna.
"You know why I asked you to wash your hair, don't you?" Rachel asked
"Because it needed it, but it never used to need washed so much"
"Oh honey, when you get older your body starts to change, and that's what's happening to you, Rebecca only needs to have her hair washed twice a week, but you have thick hair so when you were younger you will have needed to wash it less, but now you are growing up you need to do it more often"
"Like you, you wash yours nearly every day"
"Thats right, and there are lots of other things that are going on that might make you feel upset"
"Not really, I just fell sometimes like people treat me like I'm 5, especially Dad"
"Well thats what Dad's are like"
"Was your Dad like that?"
"No honey, my Dad was nothing like yours, you have a really good Dad"
"Was your Dad not good?" Bella asked
Rachel hadn't told Bella and Michael about her parents, she had told Eddie, and did find it odd that she ended up with Max who was abusive like her Father, but she was so happy with Eddie. She had even opened a joint bank account with him, which was something she had never trusted anyone to do before.
"No honey, my Dad …." Rachel paused, having to think about what she said "He wasn't a nice Man, neither was my Mum"
"What happened to them, you don't see them and neither does Auntie Jane?"
"Well they both died, 10 years ago"
"At the same time?"
"No honey, my Mum died 12 years ago and my Dad 2 years later"
"But Auntie Jane would only have been my age what happened to her"
"That right, she came to live with me when she was 10"
"I knew she lived with you for a while, but not for that long"
"Yes, she came to live with me, and went to my school just like you"
"Were you her headmistress too?"
"Not at first, I was head of the Geography department then, and when she was in year 10 I became deputy head and then headmistress when she was in year 12. When she left school I moved here"
"So she lived with you and Mr Tyler"
"Yes, they didn't get on very well"
"Does anyone get on with him, I don't know what you saw in him"
"No, well that's all in the past" Rachel said as she straightened the last piece of hair.
"Right, that's you done and its almost 10pm so time for bed"
"Thanks Mum, see you in the morning"
"Remember I will be leaving early tomorrow I have a course in London, so Daddy will be taking you all to school".
Meanwhile Michael, Philip, Bolton and Paul were at Philips house, Melissa was out for the evening and they were planning their day tomorrow where they were going to bunk off
"Maybe we should do this another day" Philip said
"No chance, it's the only day we can do it, we would never get away with it when Rachel is around" Michael said
"OK, so what's the plan" Bolton said, he had been behaving so well recently and was due a day of fun.
"So, I will come here and get Michael, then we will meet at the offies to try and get some booze"
The boys were loving their plan and looking forward to their bunk off day
