Kagome was woken half past eleven, something in the distance could be heard. She was sure of it. Listening carefully, she groggily pulled herself from her bed, blinking the sleep from her eyes as she stepped up to her and Keigo's window. It was slightly ajar. Opening it the rest of the way, she listened as the music swaying on the breeze became clearer to her. It was such a soft and delicate sound. She knew this song. It was Romeo and Juliet by Henry Mancini. A piano piece with the accompaniment of the Orchestra. She closed her eyes and smiled into the melody. Her body wanted to take her back two years, it was the first song that had played when Keigo had first asked her to dance at the Atobe Family's Gala.

Turning back to look at her boyfriend, she frowned when she saw he wasn't there. Instead, a long box lay on his bed. Moving to his bed, she lifted the lid of the box curiously and her eyes widened at the light lavender rose that lay inside. She brought it up to her nose, closing her eyes as she took in the sweet floral scent. In the box was a note, she lifted it and read aloud:

The Lavender Rose

How fitting a rose, which means "Love at First Sight"
and "Enchantment". I can say honestly that I have loved you since I first saw you.
As well, I wholeheartedly express to you this truth.
I was and have always been Enchanted by you, my Queen.

P.S. Can I have this dance?

-Keigo

She lay the rose back in the box, bringing her hands to her cheeks, she felt the heat that had risen from his words. She considered the situation carefully. Her brow furrowed thoughtfully as she picked her phone from the table and looked at the date. '...it was this day two years ago...wasn't it...' she sighed, "kami, he's such a hopeless romantic." Not bothering with her shoes, she ran out of her room and past a congregating group of sleepy teenage boys. They watched her curiously and followed with the same curiosity that they had watched her with.

As Kagome made her way through the grass, she slowed to a stop at the only court where music was playing gently in its waltzing with the gentle breeze. Her eyes settled on Keigo who was staring up at a full moon. She realized then that the lights weren't even on, all the light was from the moon hung high in the sky above them. Stepping up behind him, she smiled when he turned to face her. His charming smirk drew her into his arms, and she found herself resting her head against his chest as his arm wrapped gently around her waist and held her close to him. Moon River by Barney Kessel now played in the background. She didn't even look for the source of the music, she didn't care.

She didn't care that from the Academy, three Sensei's were watching from their respective bedroom windows, as the two swayed to the music in the middle of the night.

She didn't care that all of the participants of the Invitational Camp were watching from a somewhat close distance, smiling at the rare vision they were graced with on such a beautiful night.

She didn't care that while she was dancing with Keigo, Shuusuke was sneaking closer to take pictures of the two of them for her brother.

She didn't care about anything―anything except, Keigo. Keigo and her. For once, she wasn't thinking about Tennis, or beating her brother and boyfriend. She was content and happy. Her eyes melting with his, he twirled her away from him, and twirled her back in. One hand on her waist, the other clasping her hand. All of the songs she'd heard so far, they were the same ones they'd danced to at the Gala. We Should Waltz by Kevin Kern...this was the last song they'd danced to then.

"Kagome,"

"Hm?"

"Could you think of me as a man?"

She frowned, "what do you mean?"

"As someone who can take care of you and provide for you. Someone who can protect, love and cherish you. Can you see me like that? I want you to see me as capable." He slowed in his dancing and stepped back a bit, lifting her hand, she blushed as his lips grazed gently along her knuckles.

As he pulled her back into his arms, she shivered at the close proximity, "I... I've always thought of you as capable." She felt her hair tickle along her neck as the wind stole it away, his hands guiding her in a waltz around the court, steady steps and confident turns.

He smiled at that, "then let me love you, for the rest of our lives."

"You're talking weird," she sighed, "Keigo, you and I are only fifteen, what if you aren't happy making such promises later on?"

"I made this promise to myself two years ago. When I danced with you just like this, and my feelings haven't diminished in the least bit. They've only grown stronger." As the song came to an end, he stepped back, and bowed low with one arm across his waist. Straightening up, he smiled at the tears in her eyes. "I won't ask you yet, you aren't ready. However, when I do ask you, promise me you'll say yes."

"...I...I promise."

He leaned in and kissed her sweetly on the forehead, her eyes closing at the gentle touch. He made to guide her back when her hand stopped him. He looked curiously back over his shoulder, "Kagome?"

"I want―" she closed her eyes as her cheeks lit up famously in embarrassment, "one more dance before I have to go back to being just another Tennis player!"

He chuckled, "even when we aren't dancing, you've never been just another Tennis Player." However, he pulled his phone from his pocket and texted something. In the distance, she saw Kabaji's face light up as he read a text before he pushed something, and music started to swirl around her in one last dance. "Something special for you," he sighed, "this was your favorite movie if I recall, even though you don't eat sweets all too often."

She didn't recognize the song, not at first. The soft tendrils, the notes dipping sweetly around her, it sent chills down her spine.

~Come with me, and you'll be...
...in a world...of pure imagination~

'Ah! It's not the original...but it's so beautiful. Pure Imagination,' she smiled, "is this Josh Groban?"

"You are well versed in American Singers,"

"It's beautiful, I've never heard this version before." She listened to the song.

~We'll begin...with a spin…
…traveling in a world of my creation...
what we see will define...explanation~

She laughed as he twirled her back into his arms. She felt her heart pounding in her chest by now, her cheeks were a mix of warm and cold, her whole body was chilled in the night air, but warmed by the close proximity of Keigo and the activity of dancing. As the song finally came to an end, she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Pulling back, she smiled breathlessly before pressing a kiss sweetly to his lips. He returned it in full. Truly, the world around them didn't exist.

~FWEEET~

CLAP! CLAP!

"Right on, Buchou!"

~FWEEET~ ~FWEEET~

"Woohoo! Go, go, Tezuka-Chan!"

~FWEEEEEEEEET~

Kagome pulled back at Shishido and Eiji's loud comments. Blushing madly as she buried her face in Keigo's solid black pajama top. She shook her head as she listened to a crowd of teenage boys cheer her on. Clapping, whistling, yelling, she couldn't handle the attention. Keigo chuckled, the feel of which made her heart skip a beat.

"Alright, alright, everyone back to bed!"

Kagome peered from beneath Keigo's arm. He'd brought them up to hug her and hide her from the onlookers around them. "S-Sakaki-Sensei, gomen."

He smirked, "I couldn't possible say "no" to Atobe-San when he asked me for such a favor."

"You gave him permission to do this?" She asked, her voice heavy with her surprise.

He shrugged, stepping aside so that Keigo could walk her back inside.

"Atobe-San,"

Keigo looked back at his Sensei, "hai?"

"She's barefoot, a gentleman would never let his beloved walk barefoot on such callous terrain."

Keigo smirked, bending down just enough to catch Kagome around the back of her legs. Her balance crumbled and she cried out as he lifted her into his arms. "Hai, Sensei."

Kagome mentally cried out in her mortification. Blushing was a thing of the past. She was sure she'd pass out from how much blood had rushed to her face tonight! "Just kill me..."

He smiled into her hair as he leaned down, "Iie, I couldn't possibly do that. If you die, Ore-Sama would be forced to spend the rest of his life alone. No, the contrary is far more appealing to Ore-Sama. Living everyday with Kagome, that's what I want...such a dream, I can't wait to see it come true."

She said nothing as she curled deeper into his arms, her hand gripping her top as he carried her, not only to the compound, but back to their room. Not that she was complaining, not really. Her body felt heavy and she was tired, not as sore as she probably should be, but certainly tired. A thought suddenly struck her, '...now that I think about it. I promised him I'd say yes when he proposed. Didn't I just pre-agree to marry him then? So, wait―was that a pre-proposal?!'
