Hey, pretties :)

"I haven't seen you in a while, Clarissa!" The older woman behind the counter. "Where have you been hiding?!"

"I was here a week and a half ago!" Clary protested with a smile.

"And I usually see you every couple of days," Charlotte Branwell stated with a raise of her eyebrow as she noticed Jace behind Clary. "And who's this? Is this who has been keeping you away?" Jace looked a little confused, looking between Clary and the woman and Clary laughed and nudged him with his elbow.

"This is Lydia's grandmother," she introduced them. "And Nana Char, this is Jace."

"Hey," Jace smiled and reached his hand across the counter. Charlotte's eyebrows went even higher and she nodded in Clary's direction.

"Ooh, I like this one, Clarissa," Charlotte said as she took Jace's hand and shook it. "Anyway, what can I get you two?"

"Nana Char has the best sandwiches and pastries in town," Clary said, wrapping an arm around Jace's waist and nodded at the three cabinets in front of them. Jace looked them over, and he had to admit that they did look great, and the prices were less than half of what they were in New York. They picked out some sandwiches and then also some doughnuts, and Charlotte put them in a bag for them. She winked at Jace as they left the shop, and Jace couldn't stop his smile.

There were so many people that loved Clary, and he liked the way that it felt, being around her and being a part of that circle.

"You want to head back to the watering hole?" Clary asked as they walked down the street, their fingers linked together. "We can eat there and then go for a swim?"

"Sounds great," Jace nodded as they approached her car. Clary got in the front seat and Jace got in the passenger side, and she pulled out of the parking spot. There was a black SUV parked on the opposite side of the street that was pulling out at the same time, and Clary had to accelerate to stop the bumpers of their cars connecting, and she glared.

"What the fuck?" She muttered as she looked over her shoulder toward the SUV. "Clearly not from around here."

"You guys judge all drivers from out of town like that?" Jace smirked over at her. "Me and Izzy might not be up to scratch."

"Small town roads are a bit different from the big city," Clary pointed out with a grin. She slowed down at a stop sign, and waited as a couple of kids ran across the road, with their mother walking behind them and giving Clary a grateful wave. Clary waved back, waiting until they were safely on the other side of the road before accelerating again. The radio was playing a song that Clary knew, and she sung under her breath, one hand on the steering wheel and one hand hanging out the open window. Jace couldn't help but steal glances across at her, at how pretty and free her expression was. They turned down a bumpy drive way just before the vineyard turn off and Jace recognized the area up ahead as the water hole. "We'll just have to walk across the paddock, since we don't have the quad bikes."

"All good," Jace said with a nod. She pulled the car over to the side of the road, getting out and grabbing the food and a big bottle of water that was on the backseat. The black SUV had been driving behind them and Jace frowned as he looked over his shoulder. The car kept on going, though, rather than turning down the driveway they had.

"Come on," Clary encouraged as she walked over to the fence. Jace followed her, but his movements were a bit more clumsy, climbing over the fence. While Clary did it with easy, using only hand, swinging her leg over and jumping down, Jace was a bit more careful. She was already walking across the field, the long grass climbing up her legs, when he landed on the other side of the fence, and he jogged to catch up with her. They reached the trees that surrounded the water hole and walked down the well worn track between some bushes.

They had been back here twice more after their first time swimming there, and every time seemed to result in a make out session in the water. This time, Jace wasn't sure if they had any plans on swimming, but he didn't mind. The little spot was pretty, and there were birds in the trees that were tweeting and creating a nice atmosphere. There was a big log that was fallen on the ground, where they had put their clothes last time, and Clary sat down on it, straddling it to make sure she had her balance.

"Alright," Clary gave him a grin as she handed him his sandwich. "Prepare to have your mind blown."

"Ooh, I don't know," Jace teased her as he took it out of the paper bag. "I come from New York, and we have some pretty incredible sandwiches there. Not to mention that I went to a cooking school and—"

"And blah blah blah," Clary rolled her eyes playfully. "Stop using delaying tactics and bite into the most amazing sandwich that there ever was." Jace laughed and he bit into the sandwich, Clary doing the same thing but keeping her eyes on the man across from her. He took his time, because he knew that she was dying for an outcome, and finally she got sick of his chewing and just spoke again. "So?" Jace kept his face impassive as he chewed once more and swallowed, before his face broke out in a grin.

"Okay," he admitted. "This is a pretty damn good sandwich."

"Hell yeah it is," Clary grinned and settled back into eating her own sandwich. They ate in reasonable quiet, apart from Jace making another comment about how good the sandwich was, and then they ate the cream doughnuts that they had brought as well. Afterwards, Clary told Jace stories about when she and Simon were in high school. It turned out that Clary had been a cheerleader back in high school, and Jace's eyebrow had raised at that, and he had asked her cheekily if she still had her cheerleading uniform and pompoms. Clary's eyes widened, scandalized, and she let out a laugh, slapping him on the shoulder. Jace loved the way she tipped back her head back and exposed her throat when she laughed, and he couldn't stop himself from reaching out and kissing her. Clary smiled softly as they parted, and then she leaned forward, her arms going around his neck as she tugged him back to her.

They kissed for a while, Clary pushing their rubbish into the bag it had all come in and shuffling closer on the log. Jace wanted her to climb onto his lap but that probably wouldn't be safe given they had only just balanced themselves on it, so he settled for his hands on his hips. The kisses weren't intense and drawn out, they were soft and Clary giggled a few times when they had to pull apart to get their balance back on the log.

"Come on," Clary said, getting off the log and tugging at her shirt. Jace just sat back for a moment to watch as she undressed, down to her bra and underwear, and then she rolled her eyes and tugged at his arm. "Hurry up!" She told him before skipping off to watering hole. She moved with ease, stepping in the mud without thinking twice, and Jace almost fell out of his clothes in a rush to get out of them and follow after her.

They splashed around in the water, and Jace opened up a bit more about his own childhood. It had mainly been Clary who did the talking—it was usually like that, and honestly, that was the way Jace preferred it—and Jace had learnt a lot about her time at school and University. He talked mainly about his mum, given it was her that he was closer with than his father. Clary swum around him as he talked, floating on her bag, flicking her toes and fingers every now and then to keep herself afloat and moving. Jace didn't go into anything deep, he didn't have much time left with Clary and he didn't want to use up that time with the harder memories when he was younger.

"You know..." Jace rolled over in the water, from his back to his front, letting his arms pull through the ripples. "If we ever decide to venture into anything lighter than a restaurant—you know, like lunches or a high end cafe—I think we'll definitely need to get Charlotte to come and work for us. Those sandwiches were actually so fucking good." Clary let out a laugh that bounced off the water and the enclosed area that they were in.

"I told you that they were amazing!" She crowed as she pushed off the side of the water hole and glided over to Jace.

"Yeah, they were," Jace grinned as he reached out for her in the water. His hands slipped on her sides before pulling her in closer. Jace kicked his legs in the water, swimming them backwards to the far side, where the water wasn't as deep. He could just touch the ground there, and when he managed to get his footing on the slippery ground, he pulled Clary in so that their bodies were pressed together. Clary giggled, circling her legs around his waist so that she was plastered to them, barely any space between their wet bodies. The smile on her face faded as she leaned in close to him, resting her forehead against his.

"I wish you were staying longer," Clary murmured, swallowing hard before bringing their mouths together. Jace held her tightly against him, the fingers of one of his hands sliding over her slippery skin and resting over her bra strap. Jace's lips caught her bottom one in his mouth and he bit down gently. Clary moaned, pushing her hips against his in the water. He could feel her nipples were hard through her bra, pressing into his chest, and the hand that was on her chest shifted down to her ass. She was wearing a pair of lacy green underwear, and he curled his fingers in, giving her ass a squeeze, and she let out another moan.

"This really isn't the most hygienic place to have sex," Jace said between kisses, and Clary laughed, moving her head downwards. She left kisses with wet lips against his neck and sucked gently at the hollow of his throat.

"You wanna get out of here, then? Head back to my place?" Clary asked with a twinkle in her eye, and Jace nodded. She leaned in for another kiss, but then there was a flash of light and they both pulled apart. "What—" Clary turned her head to the side, and Jace could feel his stomach sinking and his eyes widening as he did the same thing.

Half hidden by the trees was a man with an expensive looking camera, directed straight at them.

I hope you guys enjoyed the update! I'm not too sure how much longer I'll be able to keep up with the weekly updates, but we'll see how it goes. Haha. On with my top 10 of the week;

1) Walls - Louis Tomlinson. 2) Wrong Direction - Hailee Steinfeld. 3) Alanis' Interlude - Halsey and Alanis Morissette. 4) Brooklyn Baby - Lana Del Rey. 5) You Should Be Sad - Halsey. 6) Venice Bitch - Lana Del Rey. 7) Fake Love - BTS. 8) Too Young - Louis Tomlinson. 9) Love Me Less - MAX and Quinn XCII. 10) She - Harry Styles.

And then my husbands repeats for the past week have been the new In This Moment song, The In-Between, and Blood, Sweat & Tears by BTS.

I haven't watched anything new, really, other than the Nancy Drew series that's out. I don't mind it, but it just doesn't strike the same chord that the book series did when I was younger, it doesn't have the same feel. Even the old movie with Emma Roberts in it had a more nostalgic feel to it, but given how different it is from the books, it's kind of easy to just make it feel like a completely new fandom all together. Oh, and I did finish Reprisal, and it was fucking amazing, so I definitely recommend that.

Please leave a review, let me know what you think of the update, let me know your favourite song at the moment, or your favourite movie or TV series or favourite lyrics or whatever the hell ya want xx
