She put the chalk down and clapped her hands together.

"There!" She turned to face him.

"Any questions?"

He had gone to her asking for some pointers to improve his hand-to-hand skills.

Her eyes had lit up and she pulled him to her room, spinning around what he thought had been a poster to reveal a blackboard.

An hour later she was finished, and clouds of chalk dust hung in the air.

He looked from the complex diagrams to the girl he loved.

How could he explain to her that the physics of wuxia films wasn't the best starting point?

Author's Note: Once upon a time I decided I was going to try out a 30-day drabble challenge about a pair of characters I really liked from a game I really enjoyed. I thought it would challenge me and encourage me to try writing different things, like dialogue, and it did. Along the way I wound up with a handful of things that escaped the confines of 100 words and turned into projects I really loved.

Once that 30-day challenge was done, I decided I missed the process of writing a drabble a day and the happy accidents it had produced, so I thought I would give another a shot. And I gave it the ol' college try, I really did. But somewhere in there, life got in the way, and before I knew it, literal years had passed.

I'm a different person in a much different place now, but I've never been able to forget about this series, or about this site. So in an effort to do more of the things I love to do, rather than things I have to do, I decided that there were more stories to be told. Maybe along the way we'll wind up with more happy accidents.

I hope so.

Until next time...
