Brokenpaw sat up in his nest, the morning sun peeking from the entrance. He stretched the sleep out of his legs wounded legs, his jaws parted in a long yawn. The tall black she-cat beside him stirred as well, Brokenpaw turned to Twisted who towered over him still. Her twisting ginger stripes glowed in the sunlight.
He shuffled his paws that were tucked under his belly, his eyes staring at the moss in their nest. "Good morning." He meowed, his reddish brown fur remained flat but prickled.
"Good morning sweet, how does a walk sound this morning?" Twisted asked, her eyes strained on what was before him.
Brokenpaw looked over his shoulder at Featherfern. "i-I think we should ask Fe-"
"You are not a kit, come on now as future warriors we could just go out for a quick hunt; besides it might be good to get some exercise in those legs to help them heal.." She meowed.
Brokenpaw turned his head and stared at the black she-cat as she stepped towards the den entrance. Signaling with her tail for him to follow her out, he reluctantly struggled to his paws as his shoulder shot pain throughout his body. He followed her out of the den with a final glance back behind him.
He saw just in time Lightpaw's tail tip disappear through the camp entrance. He turned as twisted lead him to a spot behind the nursery, the tall black she-cat led the way out of camp through a hidden passage. Brokenpaw limped after her into the forest, his eyes downcasted at his paws as they treaded through the forest. The tall black she-cat continued to lead the way, and Brokenpaw followed as he thought over a course of action.
They soon arrived at snakerocks, twisted looked up at the sun looming overhead. "Such a beautiful day isn't it?"
Brokenpaw nodded, he went up and sat down beside her. "Uh twisted, there's something I wanted to tell you." He said, his eyes looking down at his paws.
He felt her amber and green eyes fixate on him, urging him to continue. He took a deep breath and sighed. "I-I think we ought to look for a different mate."
Twisted remained silent as he continued. "I think we might've lost track, and were mistaken about our feelings in the first place…"
Brokenpaw could hear the she-cat get to her paws and pace around him. "Please understand that I-…"
He was shoved from behind and hit a rock, knocking the wind out of him. twisted loomed over him with a grin on her face, before she swiped downwards.
…
Brokenpaw regained his memory when he woke up, the new place he was in was dark and damp. He couldn't see where he was, or what happened to twisted.
"Hello my sweet." He heard a purr rumble from behind, definitely belonging to the tall black she-cat.
Brokenpaw raised his head, staring around the den. "Twisted, what's going on; if this is about us breaking up-,"
"Oh please, you were right about you being mistaken about your feelings, all I wanted was the right time to spring." The she-cat meowed before pacing to being in front of him.
Brokenpaw raised an eyebrow, he was about to ask when she answered. "Oh yes, Darkstar sends his regards, I had to rush this one due to him running out of patience but oh well." She meowed.
"Wait, what are you talking about?"
Twisted's face pulled to a cruel smile. "A friend has sent me to kill you, before we even became 'mates'; that night when you woke to find your nest covered in thorns and glass was my first attempt. Pretty clever no?"
Brokenpaw tried to stand, but thorns held him in place and he opened his jaws to yowl. But a ball of moss was shoved in instead. "Tsk tsk, can't have any of that now can we?"
Brokenpaw looked up at her, he could feel fear rising in him as he was at her mercy. "You know, there was nothing real about my feelings for you, any smart cat could tell from the get go; I think that Lightpaw friend of yours was aware of it, should've listened to her." twisted taunted, before sinking teeth into his scruff and hauling him painfully off the ground and throwing him onto more thorns that dug into his wounds that were un bandaged.
Twisted stood over him, her front claws digging into Brokenpaw's shoulders and her back paws keeping his abdomen pinned. Her jaws then parted and she lunged downwards towards his throat and latched on. Brokenpaw let out a muffled gasp and he squirmed under her, his paws flailing and his vision blurred.
"Brokenpaw!"
Brokenpaw saw a pale golden shape slam into Twisted's black and ginger form, followed by a blue gray shape.
Brokenpaw gasped, his head rising up off the ground and shaking his head to clear his eyes. twisted was standing and glaring at two cats, Brokenpaw could tell it was Lightpaw and…
Blueheart?
Lightpaw lunged, her claws unsheathed and digging into Twisted. But the other she-cat shook her off, her duel eyes flaring up. "You think you really can take me on!" she snarled as she dodged the next attack from Blueheart.
Brokenpaw tried to join them, but he collapsed again.
He saw Crowfoot and other ThunderClan warriors leap in, the she-cat was surrounded.
Featherfern's scent flooded Brokenpaw's senses, and he was dragged out of the hole as Twisted snarled and hissed at the warriors. Lightpaw fled after Featherfern.
A/N: So, tell me think on how I did Twisted and if it played out well. I'd love to hear from you guys.
