"Hey, Wu?" Kai called out to Wu. "Can you tell us what's going on?" He asked him once they got closer.
Wu didnt answer at first, but after a few minutes he finally spoke. "Krystal is now a villian, apparently."
"Krystal?" Nya asked.
"Krystal is a season, he along with three others provide us with the seasons. They worked along side my father for a many years." Wu answered, staring straight ahead.
"Why's he being like this now?" Nya asked.
"Maybe someone took his cotton candy." Jay jokingly said, but he quickly quieted down once Kai glared at him.
"Krystal cant consume candy." Wu said to Jay. "It appears he had no motives for his sudden turn. I'm afraid no one will be able to defeat Krystal if he does decide to attack the city, not even you."
"Oh come on! We defeated The Overlord!" Kai stated. "What does a season have on that?"
"I'm sorry, I only mentioned how he was a season. Krystal is a season for all the realms. He's constantly using his powers and going into different realms without breaking a sweat, I'm afraid to admit that The Overlord was much weaker compared to the seasons."
"Why dont the other seasons team up against him?" Nya asked. "It'd be three against one and they'd all have around the same power mass wouldnt they?" She questioned.
"Only one who poses a real threat to Krystal is Cherry." Wu explained. "The season of Summer. Cherry however owes Krystal a lot and as he is their leader shed be hesitant to attack him."
"Cant they push aside personal boundaries?" Kai asked. "This would be a matter of life or death. Kinda important that she does get over him."
"I appreciate you pointing out the obvious, but we cannot kill Krystal, and we're unsure how much strength he is possessing right now." Another voice spoke up quietly.
The three immediately turned to face the voice, their weapons drawn. What they didnt expect to see was whatever was before them.
"Who are you?" Nya snapped, her weapons drawn back up again.
"My name is Cherry." She responded quietly.
Nya, Kai, and Jay all exchanged glances but they put their weapons away and looked at the supposed form of Summer.
Cherry sighed and said. "I understand your worry for your realm, but sadly we must also worry for Krystal moreso than your realm." She looked to Nya and continued. "Krystal is a season for multiple realms, he heals the land with Bramble, while Flora and I provide."
"Cant this Bramble heal the land himself?" Kai asked. "If this all powerful being is being a danger, he should be eliminated."
"Bramble has nowhere near enough strength to pull off what Krystal does." She explained. "Flora and Bramble are they to make a slow transition, not take over our jobs."
Misako, who has been sitting quietly to once side gazed up at Cherry and asked her. "Cant you too transfer power?"
Cherry shook her head. "Krystal would have to be the one to do, and I'm afraid we arent allowed to pass off our duties. It is our soul responsibility."
"Do you have the slightest idea what made Krystal snap?" Misako pressed, getting desperate for answers.
"No. We dont, we've speculated that he might of been enraged with how he was forced into this, yet he never seemed to mind beforehand, he was irritated when he first got them but got over it eventually. I doubt he'd still hold a grudge." Cherry sighed, crossing her arms over her chest and hugging herself.
Nya scanned Cherry's facial expression, her eyes, they revealed all there was to it. He never acted this way before and she was scared, concerned for him.
"We can always sneak around and do a small investigation." Nya suggested.
Wu shook his head. "I feel like if he found out we were prying in his business it'd only make him worst."
"What would you know of him?" Kai asked. "You probably only know he exists and nothing more of that."
"I think Nya was asking Cherry." Jay added, looking to the... Goddess before them.
Wu's eyes narrowed but he didnt say anything else.
The three ninja looked expectantly at Cherry who shrugged. "I wouldnt know how'd he take being spied on." She began hesitantly. "Usually he'd come to me with his problems, and then they'd be over with soon enough. He never went out of his way to hide stuff from me."
Nya nodded thoughtfully. "He seems to be acting completely out of character with how you're describing him."
Cherry nodded, she shakily pulled out a chair and sat down in it. "He's not like himself at all, and that's the most worrying part."
Nya looked to get husband and brother and asked. "Why dont we get Zane and Pixal to watch Aliana, and we can bring Cole and Misty along with us. I think it's time for us to become detectives."
"Is bringing Misty a good idea?" Jay asked hesitantly.
"She'll be fine." Nya reassured her husband.
Kai nodded. "She'll come out of her shell eventually, Jay."
Cherry casted a confused glance to Misako who simply shrugged.
"I appreciate you offering to help," Cherry began. "But I dont think that's neccessary."
Nya shook her head. "No, you guys cant hurt Krystal and he's cursed to keep his powers forever." Nya said. "He might only get worst and worst and time goes on. The least we can do is figure out what might be wrong with him. We'll only go to his living quarters and investigate."
"It is foolish of you to think Krystal would live in Ninjago." Misako spoke up. "There are many realms he could live in."
"Foolish." Cherry agreed. "But they are correct. Krystal does sleep in Ninjago. I can take you to his den, but you better not touch anyway." She added. "Especially his shattered crystal."
"What's so special about a rock if it's broken?" Jay asked.
Cherry didnt respond at first. She didnt know how to respond. "That rock is a crystal." She told him sternly. "And to answer your question, I know not why Krystal kept it once it shattered, I do know that is very important to him as a whole. He had it before we even met, I believe his kit gave it to him."
Wu looked up at Cherry in shock before asking through narrowed eyes. "His kit? I thought you were forbidden to have children, it's in your rules afterall."
"Before he met me was before he became a season." Cherry snapped back. "Dont you dare remind me of the foul rules placed upon us. Your father had no right to ruin our future and I refuse to let you constantly remind us. We follow the rules, now follow your oath of silence. The rules are only meant to heard by certains."
Wu grumbled, but went back to his tea.
"His kit is just a dragon kit that just followed him around, not his true bloodline." Cherry added once more calm, explaining his supposed kit. "The crystal is very important to him now that they've separated their paths."
Jay nodded. "I think I get it."
Nya and Kai on the other hand were confused and concerned. "Rules?" Kai asked to no one in particular.
Cherry gave an irritated glare to Wu and said. "It's nothing of importance. We just follow a set of rules."
Nya tilted her head. "Doesnt that bother you?" She asked. "Does it bother Krystal?"
"I see what you're aiming for, it doesnt bother Krystal as it does me, he didn't have much of his future planned out, or any dreams. He accepted them much better then I did." Cherry explained. "He would of spoke of the rules a lot sooner if they did bother him anyway."
The three all exchanged glances and Nya sighed. "If you insist."
Though, they could all tell from Cherry's expression that she wasnt even sure herself.
"We'll check everything out." Nya stated.
"And we'll see what we find, he might of left some sort of small clue that was missed." Kai added.
"And we'll avoid his weird crystal rock thing." Jay finished with a large grin.
