The road was as long as Barbara imagined, the cars were infected by the stops and that made the road trip long. Brian was watching from the window all the cars that honked for the other cars to move, the boy from the museum put on the hood of his sweatshirt only as a precaution in case anyone noticed him after the news about his death.
Barbara: "Damn, the road is very difficult every time" –she said as she honked her car horn.
Erika: "Calm, we have almost reached the middle of Dad's lab, so we would take a little longer" –she said.
From there, Erika watched Brian who was still watching the window and she noticed that she was almost motionless since they got into the car.
Erika: "Hey Brian, have you thought that crazy scientist is looking for you now?" –She asked.
Brian stared at her for a few seconds and he sighed slightly as he put his head in the window glass.
Brian: "Maybe" –he said without adding anything else.
Erika circled her eyes awkwardly while watching Barbara who also watched the awkward conversation, so the cars began to move and Barbara started the engine so the car would start with everything.
Barbara: "Perfect, now we go straight to the laboratory" –she said while driving.
From there, Erika's cell phone started ringing and she answered just to know it was her dad and she talked to him. Brian was completely silent while listening to Erika's conversation with her dad.
Brian (Mind): "I just hope that scientist manages to do something right" –he told himself.
The boy from the museum slowly closed his eyes so he could rest a little, however, after closing them, he observed in the darkness the bluish rays that moved from one side to the other in a supersonic way that made Brian quickly open his eyes and see through the window that the car had stopped.
Barbara: "Well, we have finally arrived" –she said.
Brian noticed that the place they had reached was a simple Cinnamon-colored house with Celestial borders, at first glance it looked like a medium-sized house. Everyone got out of the car as they approached the house and Erika rang the bell.
Erika: "Well, we are here, now my dad will review you about you"
Brian thought about it and remained silent while he waited for Erika's father to open the door.
Lucy: "What?! You're telling me that the boy doesn't live in your house anymore" –she said, almost approaching Alejandra's face.
Alejandra blinked her eyes a couple of times and Lucy moved a little away from Alejandra's face so she could hear what she was going to say. It was already night since Brian left El Dorado and the baker's daughter called Lucy to tell her what had happened.
Alejandra: "That's right, apparently a woman came with the intention of taking him to his native country and I just said goodbye to him, I told Mom about it and she agreed" –she said.
Lucy: "Ohh, and I thought there was something else in your novel story"
Alejandra raised an eyebrow after hearing that.
Alejandra: "What do you mean by that?"
Lucy: "Uhm nothing, nothing" –she said as she turned away playfully.
Alejandra: "I know what I hear, so I want you to say it, Lucy" –she said.
Lucy: "Okay, I'll tell you. I thought you felt something for him"
Alejandra rolled her eyes after hearing that, a small blush was put on her cheeks that made Lucy notice a little.
Alejandra: "Lucy, don't say nonsense, obviously I wasn't attracted to him, he's just a friend"
Lucy: "Are you sure?"
Alejandra: "Completely sure" –she said.
Lucy: "Ok, if you say so. Hey, and he told you he would come back?"
Alejandra: "Well, he just told me it was only a see you soon" –she said.
Lucy: "So that means he will return to El Dorado"
Alejandra: "Do you believe?"
Lucy: "Of course, believe me" –she said.
The baker's daughter stared at the night sky and she felt the wind that blew in her face and gave a light sigh as she watched Lucy.
Lucy: "As I say, friend, that boy will come back to see you again" –she said.
Alejandra smiled at that and both friends kept talking until each one could return to their homes.
The door was opening and after opening, Dr. Charles appeared and saw his daughter, Barbara and of course, Brian.
Dr. Charles: "Daughter, good to see you!" –He said as he raised his arms.
Erika hugged her dad tightly while Barbara smiled at a family gathering and Brian had a neutral expression. Dr. Charles was an older man who was almost 40, his hair was dark gray and he had a short beard. He wore a white coat with some worn out pants and sneakers.
Erika: "Hi dad, I'm glad to see you again too" –she said.
Dr. Charles: "Likewise, you are always welcome here. Hi Barbara" –he said greeting her.
Barbara: "Hello, Dr. Charles, long time no see" –she said.
From there, Charles noticed the presence of Brian who had his arms crossed and a somewhat uncomfortable expression.
Dr. Charles: "You must be the boy Erika told me" –he said as he looked at him and checked at him.
Brian stared at him somewhat strangely and uncomfortably and that was when Charles adjusted his glasses.
Dr. Charles: "Okay, I'll have to see it in my laboratory, let's go in" –he said.
Everyone entered the house and Charles looked from side to side to make sure no one was there and closed the door.
