PT sat on the edge of the Temple roof. Vylor's service was today.

"PT?" The human turned to see Karos standing behind him. She was wearing her formal white cloak.

"Hey, Karos," the human said flatly. Karos sat down next him and sighed. PT looked closer and saw that her eyes were bloodshot. She had been crying. "Are you alright?" Karos suddenly broke down in tears.

"I could've saved him!" she cried. "I could've told him how I felt, and he would've been fine!" PT put a hand on her shoulder as she sobbed.

"It's okay," he said softly. "These things happen." He had never gotten that close to Vylor, but he had always been kind.

"I just wish I could rewind it all," Karos sniffed. "I wish I could go back and save him." PT nodded, but then an idea struck him. He shot to his feet and threw himself off the roof.

"PT!" Karos called after him.

"CHRONOS!" The Scimitar of Time yelped as PT crashed into his room.

"Why must you barge in like that?"

"No time," the human said. "I may know how to bring Vylor back!" Chronos' teal eyes widened.

"How?"

"You just rewind time." Chronos sighed and shook his head.

"I would've tried that, believe me, but I can't." PT cocked his head to the side.

"Why not?"

"I'm just not strong enough. I can freeze time and look forward, but not back." PT thought for a moment.

"Can I transfer power to you?" Chronos gave him a puzzled look.

"Pardon?"

"Like giving you a boost. Can I give some of my magical power to you to supercharge your abilities?" Chronos thought for a moment.

"It's worth a shot," he said eventually. "I'm all out of options." He stood and PT stepped forward. He placed a hand on his armored shoulder and nodded.

"PT!" They turned to see Karos standing in the doorway. "What are you doing?"

"Making things right," he said. "We're going back in time to save Vylor." Karos' eyes widened.

"H-How?" PT jerked a thumb at Chronos and Karos nodded in understanding.

"We need you to come with us. I can give Chronos the boost, he can send us back, but you have to save him." Karos nodded. "But you have to truly love him. Do you?"

"I do!" she insisted. "I was an idiot for not seeing it sooner." PT placed his other hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay," he said. "We're fixing this." He nodded again to Chronos.

"Let's go," the Scimitar said. He closed his eyes and his whole body began to glow. Karos' eyes widened as a flash of light engulfed the trio.

PT opened his eyes and found himself back in the Boulder. Chronos gasped from exhaustion. Karos simply looked around.

"How much time do we have?" she asked.

"Maybe a few minutes. They just put Vylor in his room and he's alone right now. If we want to save him, now's our chance." Karos bolted from the room without another word. PT and Chronos sprinting like hell to keep up.

Karos pushed open the door to Vylor's room and gasped.

"Karos?" Her blue eyes widened when she saw Vylor lying in his bed, black webbing tracing its way up the left side of his face. She dashed over to his bedside.

"Vylor," she said, her voice already fraying.

"Are you alright?" the Scimitar of Light croaked. Karos sniffed and nodded as tears welled up.

"Yes… Yes I'm fine, Vylor." PT poked his head into the room. Chronos quickly hooked a hand around his collar and pulled him back.

"Give her a moment," he said. PT nodded.

Karos clasped Vylor's hand and brushed his cheek.

"Vylor, I need to tell you something." The Scimitar of Light gazed at her with a concerned look in his eyes. He drank in everything about her. Her eyes, her lithe form, her vanilla scent. He wanted her to be the last thing he saw. He clenched her hand.

"What is it, Karos?" She sighed and looked at the floor.

"I… I love you." Vylor's eyes widened. "I… I always felt comfortable around you. You're sweet, talented, strong, and smarter than anyone I've ever met. I… I was stupid for not seeing it any sooner. I'm sorry." More tears came forth as Karos broke down. Her eyes widened and she looked up. Vylor had a hand on her face, drying her tears.

"You're not stupid," he insisted. "And there's not a damn thing on this planet that you should be sorry about." Karos couldn't take it anymore.

"V-Vylor…" The Scimitar kept going.

"The moment I saw you, I knew you were the one. I was infatuated with everything about you, but your eyes. They shine like an endless beautiful sea." Karos blushed. No one had ever told her that. "But, Karos, why your eyes shine brightly, that's not the brightest thing about you." Karos grinned.

"What's that?"

"Your soul." Karos' eyes widened. "You're as beautiful in here…" He placed a hand on his heart… "as you are on the outside. You're the kindest and most patient person I've ever met. I… I love you too." Karos couldn't take it anymore. What Vylor had just said had shattered the chains holding back those raw emotions. She launched forward and pressed her lips to his. Vylor tensed up and his eyes widened as Karos threw her arms around his neck. He slowly closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around her waist. The two toppled back onto the bed, still locked in a passionate kiss. Karos broke the kiss and stared into Vylor's bright eyes.

"I love you," she said again. She stood up and left, meeting PT and Chronos in the hall.

"We need to get back," Chronos said. "We don't exactly have a lot of time." PT nodded and dashed down the hall with Chronos and Karos.

"Need a boost?" he asked Chronos. The Scimitar of Time nodded, taking Karos' hand as PT place a hand on his armored shoulder. His body began to glow again and in a brilliant flash of light, the trio was gone, shot back through the infinitely changing strands of time.
