Ah yes it has been a whole year since I last updated and I'm glad to do it now. Honestly I had been anticipation this moment and I'm glad to write again. I hope you enjoy.
Chapter 37: New Year New Beginning
"Time to wake up squirt," Shohin said as he walked towards a sleeping figure wrapped in beddings gently mumbling in her slumber. He watched her sleep. Her chest slowing raising and lowering as she peacefully slept. There was a little smile on her face as she mumbled things in her sleep.
He couldn't help but smile as he looked at her. He had actually watched her grow in the short period of time he spent with her. He knew her from the time she was a conflicted, insecure brat to the brave and inspiring leader she is… well mostly. It was an achievement or rather honour for him to have been with her. He looked at her proudly as though he were a father proudly at his daughter, "You've grown so much."
It was 6 'o' clock and the girl should've been up already. He was the only one able to do it at this point. He poked the silverrette, "Wake up Megami, you'll be late."
"Oh Sebastian… where are you rushing to? we just got to dinner…" she mumbled with a blush on her face as she sported her smile.
"Ew…" Shohin said in disgust, "I can't believe you're the one that always bashes your brother when you're mumbling about non-existent boys!" Shohin said before shoving the girl off of her bed.
"Ouch! The freak was that for, Jerk?" Megami groaned while rubbing her head.
"It's your first day as a third year at Akademi yet here you are having wet dreams about anime boys," Shohin said angrily, "You're late, genius!"
Everything began to flow through Megami's head. The break was over, she was a third year, she was late for her first day of school, "Oh shit!" she yelled before rushing to the bathroom.
"Good morning everyone," Osoro greeted as she took a seat on at the lavish dining table of the Saikou household.
"Morning," Kiyoteru and Megamo said in unison.
"Morning dear," Genka greeted as she smiled warmly.
"Mm mm…" Kenji mumbled while gorging on his breakfast.
"There's one of our third year's," Megamo smirked, "How's it feeling?"
"It could be better," Osoro shrugged, "I'm ready though."
"That's great to hear," Kiyoteru smile while hesitantly sipping on his tea while glancing at the wine bottle a few centimetres from him. He then looked back at Osoro once he noticed Genka's glare, "Say where's your sister?"
As if on cue, Megami burst into the room and stopped to catch her breath, "I'm sorry everyone."
"This better be the last time you oversleep on a school night young lady," Kiyoteru said before motioning her to sit, "how are you anyway?"
"Oh I'm fine," Megami responded before tasting some of her breakfast which was a simple English breakfast.
"So young lady, ready to be president?" Kiyoteru asked causing her to choke on her food.
"What…" Megami coughed as she tried to regain her breath.
"You heard me."
"Oh that…" Megami started. She looked around and realised everyone but Kenji was staring at her, "Hmm, honestly I don't think It's gonna happen."
"Why so?" Genka asked curiously as she directed her attention at her stepdaughter.
"Well you see… I just won't do," Megami said, "I mean I didn't even apply for it or anything. I'm ok with my position and I hope when Kuroko is re-elected, she reinstates me."
"How sad. I guess I'm still the favourite child right, dad?" Megamo said while looking at his father.
"You never were… I mean I have no favourites," Kiyoteru said nervously before the butler, Drew walked in.
"I believe it is time for the girls to be heading to school," he said causing the girls to stand up.
"Bye everyone!" they both said before darting out of the room with the Drew following.
"Hey guys, "Osoro and Megami greeted as they joined their friends in the gymnasium for the opening assembly.
"Hi," Amai said before pulling Megami into a hug, "I missed you so much."
"We were together last week Friday," Megami said as they separated from the hug.
"But still…" Amai responded before she was shoved to the side.
"Enough of your little reunion," Kizana said before pulling Megami into a hug, "Miss me?"
"We talked about this Kizana," Megami said while pulling out of the hug as the actress sighed and walked away.
"Say what time is this assembly starting anyway?" Osoro said while fist bumping Asu and plopping onto the chair, "I've got stuff to do."
"Right now," Osana said as the headmaster walked upstage.
"Good morning Akademi High," he greeted as everyone responded accordingly, "I would like to welcome everyone back for another school year. I believe this year will be more fruitful than all of these past ones and I know this is Akademi's year to shine."
Megami glanced around as everyone paid close attention to the headmaster. She could feel her eyelids getting heavy. Like the previous years, she felt sleepy during the assemblies and eventually she was out cold.
"The first announcement for the year is that Mr. and Mrs. Rana had their first child. A baby girl to be precise," he said as the whole crowd burst into applause, "this means that Mrs. Rana will be on leave until next month as she will be looking after her child."
"Hey Osoro," Asu whispered catching the delinquent's attention.
"What's up?"
"I've been meaning to ask," she continued, "how's life been after the wedding. I know you enjoyed yourself at the wedding but like now you're a family and you don't just see each other occasionally?"
Osoro glanced at Genka who paid attention to the Headmaster. She was actually enjoying life with Genka as her new mother. Kenji was a bit rather but still they were one big happy family, "Life is great. I couldn't have it any other way."
"That's great to hear," Asu smiled before something caught her attention, "Say, how's Megami feeling about this year. You know Student Council?"
"Oh, she's not up to it."
"What?" Amai asked from beside Asu.
"She would rather Kuroko won and she maintained her position," Osoro said while looking at her sleeping sister, "She could do so much if she tried."
"That's all for my announcements," Kocho said before glancing at Genka, "I believe it's time Mrs. Saikou announced this year's leadership," he smirked as said woman walked up front as a chorus of cheers erupted from the crowd.
"Good morning everyone."
"Good morning Mrs. Saikou!" the crowd erupted in cheers.
Genka had to admit. It felt good that everyone was happy for her but she would have to get used to it after all she had a job to do, "well everyone, I'm sure we all appreciated last year's leadership and as Mr. Shuyona said, this year will be better than the last and I believe the leaders of this year will be brilliant."
She then picked up a sheet of paper and began to announce the leaders, "without further ado, the president of the gaming club is Gemma Taku," she said as there were a few claps from the crowd, "tough crowd huh, anyway let's continue."
Genka announced more of the club leaders as the crowd clapped for some while they murmured for others, "The President of the Science Club is Kaga Kusha," she said as people clapped while Kaga made his way to join the other club leaders onstage as he received his arm band, "The president of the Sports Club is Asu Rito," she said as cheers erupted from the crowd with a lot of hooting from the athletes at Asu jogged upstage and received her arm band.
Osoro sighed as she watched her friends get called upstage. It's not like the delinquents were a club but still, it would feel good to be recognised, "Hey don't feel bad, we're in the no club, club together," Osana assured her friend who only chuckled.
"The president of the Occult Club is Oka Ruto," she said as murmurs could be heard as okay made her way to the stage very slowly, "Any minute now…" Genka said as she sweat dropped. She eventually gave Oka her arm band and watched as she made her way to stand with the other leaders.
"The leader of the cooking club is Amai Odayaka," she said as the cook walked upstage while everyone cheered, "The leader of the Drama club is Kizana Sunobu." She said as the girl walked upstage with mixed reaction from the crowd.
Genka then picked up an envelope from the podium, "we have come to the point where we announce the student who is in charge of the entirety of Akademi High. The overseer of all student affairs. A person who every student will look up to and every teacher will respect," Genka said, "This young man or woman was picked by the entirety of the student populace by our votes. You saw that this person would be the best person to lead you all and as the Staff of Akademi we all agreed with you."
Genka continued to speak as people began to whisper among themselves. Osoro glanced at Kuroko who looked nervous as she shifted in her seat, "poor girl, you've still got this," she said before looking at her sister who was still fast asleep, "heh, you could've done a good job you know."
"Now without further ado, allow me to announce this year's Student council president," Genka said as the crowd grew silent as they watched her open the envelope. Anticipation grew as even the club leaders glanced among themselves wondering who it could be. Amai stood quietly crossing her fingers hoping for the best.
"The president of the student council is… Megami Saikou!" she said as the crowd burst into a mixture of cheers and applause.
"Overjoyed, Osoro glanced at Megami who was still fast asleep, "Wake up idiot!" she said before hitting her sister who woke up.
"Fuck, what's happening?" Megami asked while looking around and rubbing her eyes, "who's president?"
"It's you stupid!" Osoro said causing Megami's eyes to widen.
The silverrette was frozen in place. Osoro helped her up. Megami made her way upstage as she looked around. All the other club leaders clapped as she approached Genka who had a proud look on her face.
"I'm very proud of you Megami," Genka said while shaking her daughter's hand only to be pulled into a hug, "congratulations dear," she said while stroking her hair.
The two then separated with Megami wiping her eyes and the band was fastened around her arm. She didn't see it coming. It was all too overwhelming for her but nevertheless she felt good. She swore she saw Kuroko walk out of the room in the corner of her eye.
Genka then turned to the mic, "alright ladies and gentlemen as per the norm, the newly elected president will say a word or two," she said before turning to Megami, "Ms. Saikou, the floor is yours."
Megami nervously made her way to the podium. She didn't expect this to happen at all. Well she never really saw herself fit for the position as there were so many candidates like Kuroko, Budo and Furredu who had better qualities than the loud-mouthed ruffian she was. What surprised her the most was the fact that she won even though she didn't apply and there she was giving a speech.
Public speaking wasn't something she did often so coming up with the right words was going to be difficult. Still blank on words Megami thought out loud, "Shit, what do I say?" she said before realizing that the mic was still on and the whole school had heard their president cuss. Feeling a wave of embarrassment as her face reddened as she could here Asu trying hard to stifle her laughter in the background.
She was wasting time at this point and people were getting worried. That's when she remembered, "Good morning Headmaster, Staff members and fellow students of Akademi." Her professional mode kicked in.
"Good morning miss president!"
"I must say that I am honoured to have been selected as this year's president. Honestly this came to me as a surprise as I didn't see myself in this position as I didn't even apply for it. Regardless I am still overjoyed by this achievement," Megami said as the whole crowd listened attentively.
"Though I cannot express how grateful I am for this, I still have to make a promise to all of you," she continued before taking a deep breath and placing her hand on her chest as though giving an oath, "I, Megami Saikou, the Student Council President of Akademi High promise to do my absolute best to serve this school with all my being. I know it's nothing easy but I will give it my all," she said before taking another deep breath, "This achievement has opened my eyes and has given me the courage to say to all of you that there's nothing holding you back from doing what you want even if you think you're the worst person in the world. Thank you."
The crowd went wild as Megami stepped away from the podium allowing Kocho to walk back towards it, "Alright ladies and gentlemen, let's give our president another round of applause," he said as everyone clapped, "As expected, you are all to return to your classes and continue the day as expected. Enjoy your day."
All students left the room with the noise of chairs dragging accompanying them. Megami sighed as she walked towards her friends who received her excitedly.
"Congratulations Ms Prez," Asu said while laughing as she wrapped her arm around her shoulders, "That speech you gave was… 'the shit'" she laughed causing the silverrette to roll her eyes.
"Oh I am so happy for you," Amai said while hugging her best friend between sobs, "I knew you could do it."
"Don't cry Amai, you'll make me cry," Megami responded while squeezing her back.
"Cheesiest crap I've ever heard," Osoro commented before joining the hug, "I want some too."
"The spirits… are… pleased," Oka smiled as she saw her friends group hug.
"Get over here!" Osana said while pulling Oka into a group hug.
"Ahem," the sound of a throat clearing separated the girls who turned to face Mrs. Saikou, "Sorry to interrupt you ladies but Megami is needed in the headmaster's office."
The girls quickly nodded and walked away leaving the mother and daughter alone together.
"Am I in trouble, Mom?" Megami asked nervously.
Genka only smiled and put her hand on Megami's shoulder, "I honestly don't know."
"How's that supposed to comfort me?"
"Let's just go dear."
"Ms. Saikou, I would like to congratulate you on your achievement," Kocho said from his desk while looking at the young lady who sat on one of the couches with Genka right next to her.
"Thank you very much sir. It feels amazing really," Megami said from her seat. Though she sounded calm, her entire being was shivering with nervousness.
"Now, you're aware that this is a very big responsibility and as a leader you must lead by example," Kocho started as the girl nodded knowing exactly where he was going, "let me be straight to the point with you. You have quite thee rough reputation despite having been a disciplinarian and I must tell you that deciding that you would be president was as a result of a heavy debate. Am I right Mrs. Saikou?"
"Yes, you are, sir," Genka responded calmly.
"Therefore, as the disciplinary committee had decided, you will be on probation for a while to observe your conduct as leader. You will be expected to carry yourself in a very respectable manner and in short I mean no swearing, no rudeness, no horseplay, no vulgar gestures, no tardiness and definitely no unlady-like behaviour will be expected of you Ms. President are we clear?" he said in a very stern tone.
Of course this wasn't going to be easy. The administration was going to be watching her every move. She was starting to feel some regrets, "Y-Yes sir."
Kocho then smiled in approval, "Okay then. Please excuse Mrs. Saikou and I. we need to discuss some things in private."
Megami nodded before leaving the room and walking into the hallway. There was so much pressure put on her in her first hours of presidency. Well life will never be fair, "Well shi…shizzle," Megami sighed before looking at her wrist watch that read 1PM. Time had moved much faster than she thought, "I guess I'll go meet up with the other girls for lunch," she said before stuffing her hands in her blazer pockets and walking off.
"I told them she should do the nut cracker but they were all like 'no Kizana, Romeo and Juliet is tradition. Besides, whichever drunk person put you in power didn't say you could change stuff around here'," Kizana narrated while the other girls listened in, "You know what I did?"
"What did you say, Kizana?" Amai uninterestedly asked from the stove.
"I got up, looked her in the eye and told them to eff off and show me some respect. I'm the head honcho now," Kizana said with pride, "It feels good to be in power."
"Eff off? Are you still in denial that Megami openly rejects you?" Amai asked while passing her a side glance.
"Excuse me, you have never been pushed around by your club mates so you wouldn't understand," Kizana responded.
"You're just being the same pushy brat you've always been," Amai responded once more glancing back at her.
"This… just escalated," Oka said nervously.
"Whoa, what's gotten into you Amai?" Osana asked feeling offended on Kizana's behalf, "Cut it out."
"I'm just stating the facts. I'm setting her straight."
Kizana then shot her a glare and stood up, "I'll set you straight."
"Calm down guys," Osoro said while standing up to block Kizana, "Amai chill."
Kizana then sighed, "I'm out of here." she then left the room angrily.
No sooner had Kizana stormed out of the room than Megami walked in looking confused, "what's with Kizana?"
"She was just sharing her day as president of the Drama Club when Amai started picking on her for no good reason," Osana said from her seat at the table.
Megami then looked at the chef and shrugged, "we'll talk later," was all she could muster, "Anyway… so guess what I'm on probation."
"Why?" Oka asked.
"As president, I'm supposed to be the most perfectest person in the whole wide world," Megami said.
"Uh, perfectest isn't a real word," Osana pointed out.
"Duh, it's about as real as me going a day without cussing," Megami said while folding her legs on the dining table, "Hey Amai, fix your president a cup of coffee."
"When did I become your wife?" Amai commented, "also, you should take this seriously. You are the head of the school now."
"I guess so."
"Ah, I've been meaning to ask," Osoro started, "What's happening with you and Kuroko?"
"Well uh…"
Suddenly the door burst open revealing Asu, "Guys, I've got a surprise."
"Spill it, sports junkie," Osana said as everyone shifted their attention to the athlete.
"So I'm walking down the halls to the club room and I bump into this little bundle of joy." Asu said before pulling in a little black head they were all familiar with.
"Hanako!" they all exclaimed before enveloping her in a group hug.
"It feels so good to see you guys again," Hanako smiled as they separated from the hug.
"You've grown so much," Amai said before comparing their heights, "wow we're the same height now."
"Whoa Osana, you're still the only board around here huh," Megami commented while nudging said girl wo rolled her eyes, "Say Hanako, how's your first day at Akademi?"
"Oh it's great. I mean, I'm finally in high school, I'm closer to my brother now and I've met you guys again. It's the best," she said enthusiastically.
"So you were serious about following Taro to Akademi huh?" Osana asked the younger girl who only nodded.
Hanako then remembered something, "Ah yes congratulations you guys. You're club leaders. That must feel great."
"Heck yeah it does, I feel like the fastest thing alive," Asu said proudly, "I could run laps for days!"
"Cool it, Bolt," Osana commented, "You aren't at the Olympics."
"Oh not yet," she responded before placing her hands on her hips, "Aha, as sports club captain, I recommend you join the sports club. We do all sports."
"Hey, the cooking club's a better match for a cutie like you," Amai also advertised.
"The spirits say you would be perfect for the Occult club," Oka added.
"Or… you could join the no club, club like that loser," Megami added while pointing at Osana.
"Hey, we are not losers," Osana defended, "Right Osoro."
"Hey, I'm the boss of a gang. You're on your own, loser," Osoro laughed.
"Gang, that sounds cool," Hanako said excitedly.
"You are not joining a gang," Osana defended, "I promised your mom you would stay out of trouble."
"Aw don't be such a wet blanket Mom…" Asu teased before everyone started laughing.
No sooner had the laughter died down than the bell rang signalling that it was time for them to head back to their afternoon classes. The group then disbanded.
Megami made her way to her classroom and walked in and towards her seat where Kaga sat patiently as though awaiting her arrival.
"Hey nerd," she greeted before taking her seat.
"Oh Megami, hi," he said before hugging her, "I'm so happy for you. Congratulations," he said before pulling out, "How do you feel." He then noticed her silently looking at him and the slight hint of pink in her cheeks, "Oh was I too forward, I-I-I…"
"N-No, it's fine," Megami assured, "It's just… It's been a day," she continued before remembering that she had missed the morning session, "what did you guys do in the morning."
"Oh, we just had the usual 'what did you do over the holiday and guess what, Rumour has it Mr. Rana hooked up with Kokona," Kaga explained.
"Whoa, who started this rumour?"
"Well, Kizana started it."
"Kizana? How sure are we that it's true? How does she even know?"
"She said Kokona spent the holiday at her place and that she used to go out a lot at night," Kaga said while looking Kokona who was talking to Musume and Kashiko who seemed to be questioning her.
"How does Mr. Rana fit into the equation?" Megami asked looking at Kaga's note books.
"Kizana said she snagged Kokona's phone while she was asleep and went through it only to find calls to a man called Mr. Rana and suggestive text messages to the same person," he explained while looking down at the silverrette, "Oh yeah, and we have a math assignment too."
"Is that so?" Megami asked before realizing, "wait, a math assignment on the first day!"
"Ok everyone, can I have your attention?" Saki said as she stood from her seat. She locked eyes with the president who realised what she was going to do, "Now, as your class rep, I have to ensure proper conduct among every person in this classroom no matter who you are…"
"Here we go again," Megami groaned.
"So Megami, just because you're now president does not mean you get to bitch everyone around and in the classroom I'm in charge. I hope that got through your thick skull," she smirked proudly crossing her arms.
Megami had dealt with Saki for two whole years and even though she's president she's still receiving attitude. She felt herself struggling to hold back but she gave into the temptation. She didn't care who was watching. She was gonna defend herself, "You know wha-"
"Come on Saki, like have some respect. You've been like giving her hell for like a long time and even though she's president, you're still like being a priss," Midori defended, "If you didn't like her, you should have like told her personally from the beginning. Quite being a coward and like, grow up."
A chorus of OH's erupted throughout the classroom as Saki sank to her seat in silence.
"Thanks Midori," Megami smiled at Midori who gave her a thumbs up.
"No problem."
"Alright everyone time to learn," Mr. Rana said as he walked into the classroom holding a tiny present wrapped in pink wrapping paper, "but first… Kokona?"
"Y-Yes?" she responded nervously.
"Hold this for me, will you?" he said while putting the present on her desk causing the whole class to start whispering among themselves.
"Ah congratulations Miss President," Mido said while looking at Megami, "I bet you have an interesting story. Okay class change of plans. We're going to hear about Megami's holiday."
"Oh well."
The bell rang once again and Megami made her way towards the student council room. As president, she had a lot to do and the most important thing was to acquire members.
She opened the door to the room and found Kuroko busy at the president's desk. She appeared to be packing her stuff.
"Kuroko?"
The former president yelped in surprise, "Oh Megami. I didn't see you there," she tried her best to smile, "Congratulations by the way."
Megami could sense how hurt Kuroko was. It wasn't her intention to hurt her but she still felt guilty, "Thank you Kuroko," she smiled back as she walked towards her, "say, what's going on?"
"Oh i-I'm just packing my stuff. I wouldn't want to inconvenience the president," she responded still fighting to keep her smile.
Megami looked into Kuroko's eyes. Behind those strong spectacles were bloodshot eyes. She had probably been crying, "Listen Kuroko."
The former president looked at the current waiting to hear what she had to say.
"I'm just new to this and I'm not very familiar with this president thing," Megami said to Kuroko who only raised her eyebrow, "I need you to help me Kuroko. I need you by my side to guide me. Kuroko please," Megami said, "be my vice-president."
Kuroko was taken aback by the girl in front of her. She was being offered the position on vice president. She couldn't help but feel honoured by the Megami's humility. On the other hand, she felt somewhat insulted. What if this was all due to pity? She didn't need any pity. Especially from the person who stole her position.
Kuroko looked back at Megami. She could see the anticipation in her eyes. She was taking too long to respond.
"Maybe I should give you some ti-"
"I'll do it."
"You will?"
"I'm honoured by your humility Megami and I promise I'll do my best to help you."
"Thank you so much," Megami said before hugging Kuroko.
The two then pulled out of the hug, "Alright then, I've got to go," Kuroko said before waving and walking out of the room. All she could hear were her family members' words.
"A Kamenaga will always be second to a Saikou."
"What a day," Megami said as she walked to the dining room with Osoro next to her. They had arrived home a little late as the chauffeur had to run a few errands. Hence, they were going to have dinner in their uniforms.
"You can say that again," Osoro yawned, "After dinner, I'm taking a long shower and diving onto my bed."
"You can say that again," she responded as she also yawned.
"You know; the whole school is on your side. I mean, Midori shut down Saki," Osoro smiled while throwing her arm around Megami's shoulder, "I'm proud of you, sis."
The two then walked into the dining room and joined the rest of their family at the dining table.
"Hey guys," Genka greeted as Megamo also acknowledged their presence, Kiyoteru angrily complained and Kenji was deep in his food.
Megamo raised his eyebrow after noticing the armband around his sister's arm, "oh wow. I bet your day was great."
The sisters simultaneously bowed before taking their seats at the table.
"How was your day guys?" Genka asked as she ate some of her dinner which happened to be Lobster Thermidor.
"It was quite a day," Osoro responded calmly.
"It was eventful," Megami sighed before looking at her father.
"That idiot can't even do anything right. I swear I'll fire him tomorrow," Kiyoteru complained as he spoke on the phone.
"Uh honey, you've been on your phone the whole time," Genka pointed out.
"Oh, right," Kiyoteru then hung up his phone, "Hi girls, how was school?"
"It was fine," they both responded.
"Uh dad, Megami has something to say," Megamo said as he slowly backed away from his seat and decided to stand behind Kenji to avoid being hit by his father.
"What is it, Meg?" Kiyo asked as he gave her his full attention.
"I am…" she started nervously, "the Student Council President."
Kiyoteru's eyes widened as his heart raced with excitement. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. Kiyoteru hopped onto the table leaving Genka in shock as he began to run across it. In the process, he kicked Kenji's plate causing it to spill hot food into his face forcing him to stand up only to head-butt Megamo causing both to fall onto the ground with Genka rushing to tend to them both.
Osoro rolled off of her chair in time as the older man ran towards his daughter who was frozen with a terrified look on her face before he dove onto her sending them both onto the ground.
"I'm so proud of you dear. I knew you could do it. I'm the happiest man alive. I bet you'll be better than your brother for sure. Oh you've always been my favourite," he said as he bear-hugged her from on top of her.
"Dad… i-I c-can't breathe," Megami said from under him.
"Oh sorry. I got too happy there," Kiyoteru said before getting off of her and helping her up, "This is incredible, dear. I am so proud of you."
"Thanks dad, it means a lot," Megami said while trying to catch her breath.
"Ah yes," Kiyo remembered, "Are you boys okay?"
"I am hurt both physically and emotionally," Megamo deadpanned as Genka rubbed his shoulder and held on to the unconscious Kenji.
"Oh yes, I have a call to make," Kiyoteru said before rushing out of the room after noticing Genka's glare.
"I guess I'm going to bed now," Megami said as she stood up only to notice all her siblings glaring at her, "aw shiz…" she said before bolting out of the room with her siblings chasing after her.
Megami closed the door behind her and immediately locked it before taking some deep breaths.
"Don't forget we live together. I swear I'll get back at you!" Megamo yelled from the other side of the door.
"Oh eff off boner brain!" Megami responded, "Accept that I'm his favourite."
"I love those guys," Megami sighed before turning around to find Shohin in a blue suit with a white undershirt and maroon tie, "why are you all dressed up?"
"You've grown so much, Megami," Shohin responded.
"Dude, what's going on?"
"You know, I knew you from the time you were a little sprout," Shohin said before walking towards her, "you were easily blown by the wind. You had nothing to be proud of," he continued, "here you are now. A very strong and firm plant. A risk taker, a sacrifice maker, a brave leader."
"Where is this going Shohin?" Megami asked getting strange vibes from him.
"Where this is going is that Shohin or rather Sorano has to leave," a male voice said causing Megami to turn and find a tall dark-skinned male with a shaven head. He was dressed in a white robe.
"Kami?" Megami asked confused.
"Oh no, you can't compare me to the big guy. Let's just say I work with him in a way," the man continued, "I'm Zeref."
"Huh funny, that sends a nostalgic feeling through me," Megami continued, "you wouldn't happen to know a Mavis, would you?"
"Yes, I do actually," Zeref added, "Sorano, I hope you've said your goodbyes."
"wait, where are you going?" Megami asked.
"Megami, i am going back where I came from," Shohin responded.
"Why are you going? Aren't you a part of my subconscious?" The Silverrette asked as her voice he can to crack.
"I thought I was a part of your mind too but it turns out I'm actually a guardian. My job was to help you grow into the person you are now."
"So I was just a job to you?" Megami asked feeling a bit offended.
Shohin then placed his hands on Megami's shoulders, "Megami. I have watched you grow into the beautiful and independent woman you are now. I have spent two years by your side. Looking after you and guiding you through life. I know almost everything about you and you helped me become somebody when I never knew who I was," he continued before looking into her eyes, "Megami, you're my friend."
"Then why are you leaving me?"
"Megami, you're ready to face the world on your own now. My part as your guardian is done. I know you may still need some help here and there but there are others who are out there for you. To help you and for you to help." The being continued, "Now I have to go so I can help someone else who may need a friend."
Megami wiped a stray tear and took a deep breath, "Thank you so much Shohin. You've helped me in so many ways I guess I would be selfish if I held you back," she said before looking him in the eye, "Make you do for someone else what you did for me. Bye dude."
"Bye squirt," he said before flicking her nose.
"Okay then Ms. Saikou, we shall be leaving," Zeref said as a bright light began to envelop them.
Sorano waved at the silverrette a last time before realizing she was flipping him off, "oh you little bi…" with that, Shohin was gone.
Megami sighed as her day was done. It was a long day but she knew there were probably many more to come and she had to face them alone. Actually, she had friends to do it with.
The president threw off her uniform and and plopped onto her bed. Awaiting the next morning.
"Hey Angelica, do you know where my pyjamas are?" Endou asked as she walked around in her towel.
"Have you checked your wardrobe?" a female voice responded from the background.
"Of course," Endou said before sitting on her bed.
Hardly had she sat down when a bright light flashed across the room and a man appeared on top to her.
'Aw crap' Shohin thought as he saw the terrified look in her eyes. He saw tears forming in her eyes as her breathing intensified, "Don't worry kid I don't bite," he tried to assure.
"Angelica!"
Ah yes we're back. I know this was some long chapter with so many things going on. I hope you aren't lost or anything. Anyways guys feel free to tell me what you think.
