Three days later…

Karos beamed as she and Vylor sat outside the café. The others let them have some time to themselves for the last few days, and those days had been the best of her life. She looked at Vylor timidly. The Scimitar had his head buried in a book. One she had given him.

"Vylor?" He looked up and smiled at her.

"Yes?" She smiled at him.

"I… I wanted to say thanks." Vylor cocked his head to the side.

"Thanks for what?"

"You… You saved me." Vylor gave her another confused look.

"How so?" She looked at the ground. Vylor's eyes widened when she began to cry. He stood up and walked around the table. He put his arms around her and helped her stand.

"Come on," he said softly. "Let's talk in private."

He led her back to the Temple and up to her quarters. He opened her door and closed it behind him. Karos sat down on her bed and Vylor sat down next to her. He wrapped her in his arms and held her as she cried.

"Where were we?" he said. Karos looked up at him and sniffled. She wiped her eyes and smiled weakly.

"You saved me." Vylor kissed her on the cheek.

"Now how did I do that?" he asked. More tears came forward.

"Devan… Devan was going to kill me." She balled up Vylor's robe in her hand and buried her face in his chest. She sobbed… and sobbed… and sobbed. Vylor's newly mended heart shattered again at seeing her like this.

"Karos, look at me." She gazed up at him with her shining blue eyes. "I will never hurt you like he did!" Karos kissed him on the cheek.

"I know. Your heart's too big for that."

"I love you, Karos."

"I love you too."

"So what you're saying is that my powers aren't what I perceive them to be?" Diablo nodded.

"Yep!" He and PT stood in the center of the training ring. Samara and Voltera watched the two humans from the bleachers.

"So what are they then?"

"They're the same type of energy, just manifested differently. Mine in the form of that lightning magic."

"And mine in the form of Arcanite crystals." Diablo nodded again.

"This energy, however, can be controlled in other forms as well." PT raised a brow.

"How?"

"You can imbue objects with it and some conduct it." PT nodded. He was certainly interested now. "However, it works like electricity for the most part, meaning that metals conduct it, but fabrics like wool and silk can conduct it as well." He gestured to his black robes. "These robes are resistant to those attacks because the fabric is highly conductive, so it acts like a ground."

PT nodded. "So does my armor, correct?" He dinged a fist on his chest plate. Diablo nodded.

"The Convexium can't act like an insulator because it's polarized to that type of magic, but it is highly conductive, so it should disperse the charge." PT nodded again.

"HEY YOU TWO!" Voltera called from the wooden bleachers. They both turned to her. "What are you guys going to call this energy?" The humans grinned as the answer came to mind instantly.

"HAMON!" they shouted in unison. Voltera giggled and Samara just sighed and gave a small sigh.

A/N: Hamon, for those who don't know, is life energy that can be conducted into objects. Look it up if you want a better explanation, but I don't want to waste your time with one. You guys are here for the story… I hope.

The two humans high-fived. Samara and Voltera laughed the two humans went on striking these goofy poses and screaming "OOOOOOOOOOOOOH!"

"You seem perky today, Voltera," Samara said. She and the Lightning dragoness had gotten to know each other since Diablo and PT had started hanging out more. Voltera nodded.

"It's great seeing PT this happy. He's got kind of a dark past." Samara nodded. Diablo had told her a lot about PT.

"Diablo talked about him a lot you know."

SPLOOSH! The two dragonesses turned their heads to find Diablo and PT covered in water.

"Did you see that?!" PT exclaimed. "I held the glass upside down for like, five seconds!"

"That was awesome!" Diablo said. PT turned to Voltera.

"Hey Voltera, look!" He filled a glass with water and flipped it upside-down. To her amazement, the water remained in the glass! PT lifted it over his head. The glass suddenly broke and splashed water all over him. PT stayed silent for a moment before hooting and dancing around.

"I AM A HAMON MASTER!" he shouted. Voltera and Samara burst out laughing.

"Was that a laugh, Samara?" Diablo asked. Samara grinned.

"So what if it was?" Diablo just laughed.

"Come on guys," PT said. "How about we go get something to eat."

"Ooh!" Voltera exclaimed. "How about we pick up Axos and Dynamo and see if they want to come with us, maybe get acquainted with Warfang?" PT shrugged.

"Why not?"

"You all didn't have to bring us," Axos said.

"It's fine," PT said. "We wanted to get to know you guys anyway." They were on their way to of one of the nicer bars in Warfang: The Scaly Barrel.

"I must say, Warfang looks like it has some very nice establishments," Dynamo commented. Voltera nodded.

"We couldn't cover all of it in a day," she said. As they headed down the sidewalk, something caught their ears.

"Come on, baby." The group stopped next to an alleyway. Inside the alley was a pink dragoness. She was backed against the wall by a large Earth dragon and a light blue Ice dragon.

"I already said no," the dragoness said. The Earth dragon growled and hit her across the face with his paw. The pink dragoness yelped as she fell to the ground.

"I don't take 'no' for an answer, bitch!" the dragon growled. PT stepped forward, but Dynamo held up a hand.

"I'll take care of this." He turned back down the alleyway and flipped his hood up. "HEY!"

The two dragons looked up.

"LET HER GO!" The dragons chuckled.

"So, someone thinks he's a hero," the Earth dragon taunted. He and the Ice dragon approached Dynamo. The bipedal dragon sneered at the other two.

"You know what, I was going to give a little speech before this, but I think I'll just get to the point." Dynamo drove a roundhouse kick into the Earth dragon's jaw. The dragon grunted as he was spun backwards, landing on his side.

The Ice dragon growled at Dynamo.

"Why you—" He was cut short as Dynamo leapt to the side. He planted his feet on the wall and launched himself. His metallic left fist rocketed into the dragon's temple, slamming his head into the wall and dropping limply to the ground.

Dynamo walked over to the dragoness. She whimpered as he got closer.

"It's okay, Miss," he said. She uncovered her face and looked up at him. Dynamo helped her to her feet and turned without as much as a word. He walked back out to his friends, who just stared at him.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing," PT said. "Come on, let's go."

As Dynamo and company made their way down the sidewalk, the pink dragoness watched the tall hooded figure go.

Who was that? she thought. And why was he so damn cute?

PT1: *Sighs* As much as I hate doing it, I need human interaction like a plant needs sunlight, so hear goes. *Ahem* I have recently published another story if you guys want to check it out. It's in its beginning phases so there's not much, but more is on the way, I can assure you.

Jericho: We are getting' kinda lonely over here!

PT1: Get back in your own story! Who said you could come over here?! Oh! And one more thing! It may seem wierd, but PM me your reviews. I've found it's best not to ask questions, but as of late, I'm not even getting notifications, so I just want to make sure that everything is in working order.
