Hey! So I am pretty happy with this chapter. So hopefully you enjoy it!

Nico's POV

Nico did not know what this was. While walking to the bar-thingy with Will and the rest, he suddenly received a wave of the feeling of death crash into him. He felt like something was off. But... A different off.

What's wrong...? Hecate, do you know?

...

Of course. She only answers when she wants to.

Nico had looked at Hazel who looked back at him and shrugged in question. That's when they entered the 'pub' that Cedric Diggory had talked about. The sense of death got even stronger.

Percy had said something but Nico couldn't hear him. The sense of death was roaring in his ears so much that he couldn't even hear the others. Nico didn't even know the sound... It was just a feeling.

Nico almost felt like a compass because he turned to the direction of the death feeling. It was pinpointing something... or someone.

Nico got closer and reached out, "That's weird".

"Uh- what are you guys doing here...! " Hermione quickly said.

Nico felt the feeling die down enough for him to hear her.

He lightly contracted his hand, "All the headmasters said we could come to Hogsmeade too. Also, has anyone you know died? Or they're sick or something?"

Will pulled Nico's hand back, "Okay, how about we go back to the table. Cedric was taking us here so we know about the streets in Hogsmeade."

Hermione nodded, "Right, of course".

After they all left the pub, Will looped his arm around Nico's and started walking to the joke shop called "Zonko's". Nico couldn't describe that feeling of death. He never felt that strong of a feeling near his father. Or even Thanatos, the god of death itself. And the feeling was different. Different from the sense of normal death. Different than the sense Nico received from Leo's 'death'. Almost as though... Death has a connection to something. Something made for evil. It was... It was indescribable.

Nico decided to keep quiet about it. He would discuss it with Hazel later. He, Will, Jason, and Piper walked to the place and immediately noticed many differences from Zonko's to a normal prank shop. For starters, there weren't fanged frisbees in New York!

"Eek!" shrieked Piper as they threw themselves to the ground.

"Watch out! The frisbees are on the loose!" a fat man yelled out.

That was pretty much how Nico's trip went. He got up to see something and went down to avoid another. Plus Will's laughter everytime Nico got down. After a while at Zonko's, the grabbed their bags and went to Honeydukes. Nico guessed thatsome of their friends had already went to a different store because there was no trace of Calypso, Leo, Percy, Annabeth, or Reyna in the store.

Nico enjoyed being in the candy shop because Will's face when he saw the walls filled with sweets was adorable to Nico. Not that he said that out loud...

Soon after, Nico and the others finally all met up again and walked back to the school. As they were walking, it was pretty obvious that everyone was somewhat separated from each other in groups of two, excluding Reyna who was in the front.

Will pulled Nico back a bit, "Okay. What's up?"

Nico blinked, "What?"

"Don't think I can't tell when something I'd on your mind. I'm you're boyfriend for crying out loud!" Will said, throwing his hands up a bit.

"Yeah... I know", Nico mumbled, "It's the death sense".

Will winced, "Ooh. Who is it?"

"That's the problem.. I don't know! I don't even think it is a human" said Nico.

"So maybe it's an object?"

"How would it be an object, Will?"

"I don't know... Maybe Thanatos left something behind?"

"Why would... " Nico paused, "You know what? Maybe he did leave something behind... "

"Sort of like Hephaestus leaves pieces of godly metals behind" Will guessed.

"Yeah, but... It almost felt like Thanatos was mad" Nico said.

Will shrugged, "You're the Lord of Darkness not me".

Nico shoved him lightly, "I told you not to call me that."

"Doesn't mean I'll listen".

"Gee, thanks".

"You're welcome".

"Oh, don't you- "

Nico stopped talking once he had seen an owl soaring behind Will. It was a familiar green-eyed owl.

"Thalassa!" Percy said in delight as the owl touched down on his shoulder.

She cooed and stuck out her leg. Tied to her leg was a roll of paper. Percy took the paper out and gave it to Annabeth.

She pocketed it, "Let's read it when we get to the castle".

They all started moving again and Annabeth looked ahead to see Cedric who was mindlessly chatting with Thalia. Nico guessed that she didn't want Cedric to hear whatever the paper said.

They finally reached the castle a few minutes before it was dark. They all thanked Cedric and walked towards the Gryffindor dorms. They quickly got inside their own dormitories and sat on the many couches.

"Okay, what did that paper say?" Reyna asked, getting straight to business.

"Let me read it," Annabeth said.

"Dear Percy Jackson,

Hey! It's Charlie Weasley. Hopefully you remember me, I'm Ron Weasley's brother. Anyway, I've got something to show you. Come to the edge of the forest surrounding Hogwarts at Midnight tonight. I've got something to show you. Make sure no one sees you. See you then!

-Charlie Weasley".

Annabeth finished reading the letter after a while. After all, she had dyslexia too.

"Charlie... The one with a lot of freckles, right?" Frank said.

"That's the one" said Calypso.

"Why would he want Percy to go the forest? At midnight especially" asked a worried Hazel.

"He wants to show him something" said Nico.

Reyna face palmed, "We know that Nico. She's asking what he wants to show him"

Percy shrugged, "As long as he doesn't try to kill me, I won't try to kill him".

Leo laughed but then stopped once he saw Percy simply blink.

Midnight was coming around quickly. The demigods were all in the common room doing something to kill the time. Will and Nico were playing tic-tac-toe (which Nico kept winning), Calypso and Reyna were reading history books, Leo, Jason, and Piper were watching some tv show about a girl who's nose bleeds when she makes something move, Frank and Thalia were working together to make some dish that would make Nico get diabetes if he so much looked at it, Hazel was drawing something, and Percy and Annabeth were going over some spells they had already learned.

Nico looked down at the sheet of paper that was between him and Will. He had to choose where to put his X.

"I've got you cornered.. " said Will.

It was true. Will had made a move that allowed him to win no matter where Nico would put the X. Nico groaned and wrote X on an open square. Will quickly wrote an O and jumped up.

"I finally beat Nico!!" he said while skipping around the common room.

"Sit down!" Nico said. Will reluctantly sat down and they decided to play a different game. But that was when Nico looked at the clock.

"Hey, Percy. It's eleven fifty-three. I think you should start heading off now" Nico said.

Percy looked at the large clock that was on the wall, "Oh yeah. I guess I should".

He kissed Annabeth on her head "Bye, Wise Girl".

"Wait," she said.

She ran up the girl's stairs and came back after half a minute.

"Here," she huffed. In her hand was a baseball cap. To anyone else, it would seem like a normal hat but the demigods knew better. It was her famous magical hat that would turn the user invisible.

Perfect for hiding.

Percy took it, "Thanks".

"Don't loose it, Seaweed Brain", Annabeth said.

"I promise I won't" Percy said with his hands in the air, "I'm heading off now".

Annabeth sat down at one of the tables, "Come back soon".

"Hopefully!" Percy said as he left the door.

She just chucked and left it at that. Nico turned towards the door. He kinda wondered what Charlie wanted to show him...

Percy's POV

Percy was walking to the edge of the forest with a baseball cap on, hoping it was actually Charlie that sent the letter.

Hopefully I'm not walking to my death. Again.

He was relieved when he saw the second oldest Weasley brother standing near a tree.

Percy walked up to him, "Charlie, it's me Percy".

Charlie looked around quickly. He had a horrified express which made Percy laugh and take off the hat.

Charlie turned around and clutched his chest, "Jeez! Don't do that".

Percy still laughed anyway, "What did you want to show me?"

"Oh, right. Follow me" Charlie motioned.

Percy and Charlie walked around the perimeter of the forest. It was very dark and quiet so Percy crashed into Charlie a few times.

As they were walking, Charlie suddenly said, "Percy, put the hat on".

Percy quickly did as he was told and put on the hat. He looked around and quite far, he could see the silhouette of a large man and a tall woman.

"That's Hagrid, he's the- "

"Yeah, I know" Percy said, "Harry told me".

"Okay, let's sneak over here so he doesn't see me," Charlie said as he walked quickly to a different tree farther from Hagrid.

As they walked deeper and deeper into the woods, Percy was starting to question where they were going.

"Okay," said Charlie, "You aren't supposed to know this at all and I feel really guilty about it but... on the day of the first task, I don't want you to kill them".

Kill them?

Percy hurried up alongside him. For a second, he thought he was seeing large bonfires and men darting around them. Then be realized what those 'bonfires' really were.

Dragons.

Five fully grown, enormous, vicious-looking dragons were rearing onto their hind legs inside an enclosure fenced with thick planks of wood, roaring and snorting. Large amounts of fire were shooting into the dark sky from their open, fanged mouths, fifty feet above the ground on their outstretched necks.

There was a silvery-blue one with long, pointed horns, snapping and snarling at the wizards on the ground; a smooth-scaled green one, which was writhing and stamping with all its might; a red one with an odd fringe of fine gold spikes around its face, which was shooting mushroom-shaped fire clouds into the air; a green-black one with black ridges on its back and brown texture in its scales was swinging it's long tail around, and a gigantic black one, more lizard-like than the others, which was nearest to them.

"Percy, you wait here. I've gotta go help" Charlie said as he raced to the dragons.

At least fourty other wizards, seven or eight to each dragon, were attempting to control them, pulling on the chains connected to heavy leather straps around their necks and legs.

Woah.. They look pretty...

Mesmerized, Percy looked up, high above him, and saw the eyes of the black dragon, with vertical pupils like a cat's, bulging with either fear or rage, he couldn't tell which... It was making a piercing noise, a yowling, screeching scream...

As they were trying to control the dragons, Percy saw that on the other side of him was Hagrid and Madame Maxime.

That explains the figures...

"Keep back there, Hagrid!" yelled Charlie, straining on the chain he was holding. "They can shoot fire at a range of twenty feet, you know! I've seen this Horntail do forty!"

Forty feet of fire... I think if I found Leo's new pet..

"Is'n' it beautiful?" said Hagrid, admiring the beauty of the beast.

"It's no good!" yelled another wizard. "Stunning Spells, on the count of three!"

Percy saw each of the dragon keepers pull out his wand.

"Stupefy!" they shouted in unison, and the Stunning Spells shot into the darkness like fiery rockets, bursting in showers of stars on the dragons' scaly hides.

Percy watched the black dragon teeter dangerously on its back legs; its jaws stretched wide in a silent howl; its nostrils were suddenly devoid of flame, though still smoking - then, very slowly, it fell. Several tons of sinewy, scaly-black dragon hit the ground with a thud that Percy could have sworn made the trees behind him shake.

The dragon keepers lowered their wands and walked forward to their fallen charges, each of which was the size of a small hill. They hurried to tighten the chains and fasten them securely to iron pegs, which they forced deep into the ground with their wands.

Hagrid and Madame Maxime moved right up to the fence.

"All right, Hagrid?" he Charlie, walking towards them to talk. "They should be okay now - we put them out with a Sleeping Draft on the way here, thought it might be better for them to wake up in the dark and the quiet - but, like you saw, they weren't happy, not happy at all - "

"What breeds you got here, Charlie?" said Hagrid, gazing at the closest dragon, the black one, with something chose to reverence. Its eyes were still just open. Percy could see a strip of gleaming yellow beneath its wrinkled black eyelid. Percy has dealt with many types of mythical beasts of all sorts so he was used to the seeing large creatures. But this was a normal dragon that acted different from other monsters.

I can't kill it, but I probably have to get past it... Why does that sound harder than just killing it?

"This is a Hungarian Horntail," said Charlie. "There's a Common Welsh Green over there, the smaller one - a Swedish Short-Snout, that blue-gray - and a Chinese Fireball, that's the red - and there's the Norwegian Ridgeback, the thin green one that looks similar to the Horntail".

Charlie looked around; Madame Maxime was strolling away around the edge of the enclosure, gazing at the stunned dragons.

"I didn't know you were bringing her, Hagrid," Charlie said, frowning. "She's bound to tell her student, isn't she?"

"Jus' thought she'd like ter see 'em," shrugged Hagrid, still gazing, enraptured, at the dragons.

"Really romantic date, Hagrid," said Charlie, shaking his head.

Ew.

"Five.. " counted Hagrid, "So it's one fer each o' the champions, is it? What've they gotta do - fight 'em?"

"Just get past them, I think," said Charlie. "We'll be on hand if it gets nasty, Extinguishing Spells at the ready. They wanted nesting mothers, I don't know why... but I tell you this, I don't envy the one who gets the Horntail. Vicious thing. Its back end's as dangerous as its front, look".

Charlie pointed toward the Horntail's tail, and Percy saw long, bronze-colored spikes protruding along it every few inches.

Yeah... I've seen enough.

Percy turned away and found himself walking back to the castle. It took a bit longer since he didn't know the forest too well. As he was walking back, he saw another figure creep into the forest. Percy couldn't tell who it was but he was pretty tired so he decided against chasing after the person.

Besides, they're walking into a den full of dragons.

As he walked towards the Gryffindor dorms he was thinking about how he was going to get past them. He told the password to the Fat Lady who grudgingly let him in. He entered to the Demigods' dorms and went to bed immediately.

As he was laying there, he thought about the other champions.

Fleur is probably going to know... But Cedric, Viktor, and Harry don't know yet. But I can't tell them because they'll ask how I know...

Needless to say, he didn't get much sleep that night.

...

Wassuppppppppp! Okay, that was extra. Hopefully this chapter was enjoyable. I'm pretty excited because my birthday is coming up soon! (The 27th of February). Okay, maybe it isn't that soon but you can't ruin my excitement. Next update 2/7/20.
