The Emperor is about to have a very bad day...
On the planet Korriban, an Imperial shuttle approaches a large, black pyramid. The shuttle enters the pyramid, and lands in a small hangar.
Darth Umbra and Director Aphra emerge from the shuttle, and are met by a dark skinned woman in a white uniform. This is Grand Admiral Sloane. She approaches Umbra, and kneels on one knee.
"Rise, Grand Admiral." Umbra says. Sloane stands up.
"Lord Umbra. Director Aphra. The Emperor is expecting both of you in the throne room." Sloane says.
"then we had better not keep the Emperor waiting." Umbra says.
Umbra and Aphra proceed to the throne room. As they enter, they are met by a red haired man dressed in black. This is Emperor Palpatine, now in a thirty year old cloned body. He is seated upon his throne, with a red robed guard on each side of him. There are also two other guards stationed at the entrance. Umbra and Aphra approach the throne, and kneel on one knee.
"You may rise." Palpatine says. Umbra and Aphra stand up.
"My lord." Umbra says.
"Welcome home, Lord Umbra." Palpatine says.
"You wished to see us, master?" Umbra asks.
You are no master to me, foolish child. Soon, you will know it. Umbra thinks.
"Yes. I want a report of what transpired at Kamino." Palpatine answers.
"The attempt to capture Kira Bridger was unsuccessful. There were… unforeseen complications." Umbra says.
"What sort of complications?" Palpatine asks.
"Ahsoka Tano. She not only used the World Between Worlds to recruit rebel forces from the past, she also used her power to single handedly destroy one of our Death Stars!" Umbra answers.
"I see. Director Aphra, I understand have been developing new combat units for the Empire, and that their first deployment was on Kamino." Palpatine says.
"Yes, my lord. The new units were deployed as planned." Aphra says.
"Yet, these forces proved to be completely ineffective." Palpatine says.
"That's correct. The troopers were too slow, and the droids were unable to resist force lightning. I've already been informed that the problem with the droids should be corrected soon. As for the Sith Trooper program, it's too soon to say. We may have to delay further deployments until the cybernetics division corrects the problem." Aphra says.
"I see. These programs of yours cost the Empire a great deal of time and resources, director. Let us hope these delays and setbacks do not become commonplace." Palpatine says.
"Of course not, my lord." Aphra says.
"Very good. You may go. Return to the shuttle, and wait for Lord Umbra." Palpatine says.
"Actually, I have something else in mind. You may remain, director." Umbra says.
"You dare defy me, apprentice?" Palpatine asks. Umbra starts laughing.
"Indeed. Execute protocol… Umbra Zero." Umbra says.
Palpatine grabs his head, and falls to his knees.
"Guards! Kill them!" Palpatine shouts.
"Guards! Execute Order 19!" Umbra shouts. All four red robed guards turn their weapons on themselves, and commit suicide.
"Order 19. Also known as the suicide order. One of my favorites." Aphra says.
"Mine too." Umbra says. Palpatine recovers from his disorientation, and stands up.
"How… do you have control of my contingency orders?" Palpatine asks.
"I have always had control… of everything." Umbra answers.
"I see it now. You are… insane. Both of you. You dare to place an inhibitor chip into my cloned body? I will destroy you both for this betrayal!" Palpatine shouts. He aims his hand toward Aphra, intending to attack her with lightning. However, nothing happens.
"Having trouble?" Umbra asks.
"What… have you done?" Palpatine asks.
"Aphra, would you care to enlighten him?" Umbra asks.
"Of course, my lord. You see, the inhibitor chip in your head is a special one, with a very unique feature. A hidden command that releases a biotoxin into your bloodstream. A toxin that just so happens to contain genetic material from a species native to Myrkr. I believe you've heard of… ysalamiri." Aphra says. Palpatine looks at her in disbelief.
She's more clever than I thought. Palpatine thinks.
"That's right, Sidious! Your blood is now filled with the genetic code of the ysalamiri! Which means… you're cut off from the force! Yes, your spirit will leave that body once I kill it, but I've prepared for that too! I've always been one step ahead of you, apprentice!" Umbra says.
"Not only do you betray me, you dare to mock me by calling me apprentice!" Palpatine says.
"I only say what is true, Sheev Palpatine. I am the master, and you are the apprentice. As it has been since the day I recruited a seventeen year old boy from Naboo and named him Darth Sidious! Everything you have done… has been according to my design! You thought you killed me, but I have always been here!" Umbra says, in a deep, distorted voice.
That's… the voice of Darth Plagueis. He's… tricked me for all these years. Palpatine thinks.
"Lord Plagueis." Palpatine says.
"Yes, and many others before that! I am the first Dark Lord! All Sith have acted according to my will! Now, the time has come for me to emerge from the shadows, and reclaim what is mine! The throne of the Sith! I will bring about a new Sith Empire, which will reign for all eternity! As for you, apprentice, your services are no longer required!" Umbra says, in her normal voice.
Umbra takes out her lightsaber, and activates it. The Sith Lord then throws the weapon toward Palpatine. With no force powers to stop the incoming saber, the Emperor is impaled through the chest. He falls to the floor, and dies. Seconds later, a black mist emerges from the corpse.
"Is that… " Aphra says.
"The essence of Darth Sidious. You've never actually witnessed a transference, have you?" Umbra asks.
"No." Aphra answers.
"Well, this will be his last. You had better step back. The vortex I'm about to create will be quite large and… destructive." Umbra says.
"Vortex?" Aphra asks.
"It will banish his spirit to the netherworld. Permanently. Unless you wish to be accidentally sucked in, you had better step back. At least ten meters." Umbra says.
"Yes, boss." Aphra says. She steps back as instructed.
The black mist separates from the dead clone, and forms into the shape of Emperor Palpatine.
"If you are indeed my old master, then prove it! Destroy me! If you can!" Palpatine says, in a distorted voice that sounds like multiple beings speaking at once.
"Oh, I can. And I will. Farewell, apprentice!" Umbra says.
Umbra begins to chant in a strange language. Soon, a massive, black storm forms, and the spirit of Palpatine is slowly sucked in.
I have… been defeated! All my plans… ruined! Now, I face… oblivion! So be it. Palpatine thinks.
The throne room echoes with the sound of anguished screams. Eventually, the screams stop, and the storm disappears.
"So, that's it. He's really gone." Aphra says.
"He is. Now, I will reclaim what is mine. The throne… the very one I sat upon seven millennia ago when I formed the first Sith Empire!" Umbra says. She approaches the throne, and takes a seat.
Aphra kneels on one knee, and says "my Empress."
"Rise, Aphra. You have served me well." Umbra says. Aphra stands up.
"The throne suits you." Aphra says.
"Thank you. There is much work ahead for us. But first, I will announce my new position, as well as my plans. Summon all of the advisors, generals, and admirals. Oh, I want Colonel Hux as well." Umbra says.
"It will be done." Aphra says.
A few hours later, several officers are now gathered in the throne room, including Sloane. All of the officers are staring in disbelief at Umbra, now seated upon the throne. Aphra stands next to the throne, now wearing the insignia of a Grand Moff.
"What is going on here? Who is this? Why is she in the throne? Where is the Emperor?" Colonel Hux asks.
"Silence insect! You stand before Darth Umbra, First Lord of the Sith! Empress of the Galactic Empire! You will speak only when she commands it!" Aphra says.
"Director Aphra! What are you doing wearing the insignia of a Grand Moff?" Hux asks.
"I am a Grand Moff, you pathetic child!" Aphra says.
"Lord Umbra… " Sloane says.
"Silence!" Aphra shouts.
"Let her speak." Umbra says.
Of course. You may address the Empress, Grand Admiral." Aphra says.
"You… command me, Aphra?" Sloane asks.
"Because she wishes it." Aphra answers.
"Very well. My lord… what has happened?" Sloane asks.
"The Emperor… is dead. The throne is now mine." Umbra answers.
"I see. How, may I ask, did the Emperor die?" Sloane asks.
"I killed him. Permanently. So, there will be no more clones. No more resurrections." Umbra answers.
"He built this Empire! You… killed him! You… betrayed him! I will never serve you!" Sloane says.
"I know." Umbra says. She extends her hand, and the Grand Admiral is consumed by fire.
Now, they know what I am capable of. They will serve me, or they will die. Umbra thinks.
"I am Darth Umbra, Dark Lord of the Sith! I hereby declare myself Empress of the Galaxy! Bend the knee, and you will be rewarded! Defy my will, and you... will be destroyed! All who defy my will, shall be destroyed!" Umbra says. All of the assembled officers kneel to the new Empress.
All who defy me will face their end! Let the Apocalypse... begin! Umbra thinks.

This is the end of Revelations. The third and final part of this trilogy is still being plotted, and no chapters are written yet, but I am hoping to have something by February or March. Until then, I will be working on other stories. Thanks for reading.
