Hello again guys. Welcome to another chapter of AAU. I hope you're enjoying the story this far. I've been wondering whether or not they'll animate the 100-year quest arc of Fairy Tail because it couldn't just end there. Anyways back to the story.
Chapter 38: New Year, New Faces
"Oh yeah, this bed makes me feel like a king," Kenji said as he woke up. He stretched his arms and yawned, "Oh yeah, no school for me so I'll just go back to sleep," he said before turning to sleep again.
"Actually sir, you'll have to wake up," a male voice said startling him.
"Who the heck are you, jerk?" he asked annoyed. He noticed the man was wearing black trousers a white shirt under a waistcoat, "don't you go scaring your boss like that."
"Boss hum, my how rude of me to disturb you, sir," the man continued, "I am Drew, head of service in the household."
"Alright Drew, I don't need your service so get lost," Kenji said before lying down again.
"Sir, I'm just following instructions," Drew persisted, "So you must wake up."
"I said, get lost!" Kenji growled glaring at him.
"Don't push me young man," Drew threatened not showing a sign of fear as they locked eyes.
"Get out of my room!"
"You asked for this," Drew said as he adjusted his gloves.
"There we go, you look smart," Drew said as he finished combing Kenji's hair while he sat pouting with his arms crossed. He was in a beige checked blazer over a white shirt and red tie over a pair of black trousers and shoes.
"What kind of stupid uniform is this?" Kenji asked.
"The uniform to your new school," Drew responded. His British accent reminded him so much of the man that claimed to be his father, "Now you best go down and eat your breakfast. You don't want to be hungry on your first day of school."
"Whatever," he said before storming out of his room leaving the butler sighing.
Kenji made his way down the hallways and towards the elevator and entered.
After entering the floor, he was going to, the doors began to close, only to be stopped by a foot causing them to open revealing his siblings.
"You look presentable for once," Megamo commented as he stood next to him.
"Why I oughta… ouch!" Kenji said before Megami smacked the back of his head.
"Morning shrimp," Megami smirked, "feels good to be older than somebody."
"You're still younger than me," Megamo said while giving her a nudgie."
"You dick! Don't mess up my hair," Megami said while stomping her brother's foot.
"Ouch! Oh dad, the president's using bad language!"
As the two argued, Osoro walked into the elevator and ruffled Kenji's hair, "hey blondie."
The elevator began to go to the floor of the dining room.
The door opened revealing the dining room where the parents at the dining table.
"Aww, that's so precious," Kiyoteru said in awe, "Honey take a picture of them. See how cute they look together," he said as Genka started taking pictures.
"Morning guys," Genka greeted as the older teens bowed.
"Morning," the three responded.
"Mor…ouch!" Kenji said as Megami elbowed his stomach, forcing him to bow, "morning mom."
"Uh kids, I know this sounds strange but I'm missing a blue suit," Kiyoteru said, "could any of you have seen it.
The kids all shook their heads even though Megami knew exactly where it went.
Drew walked into the dining room and quickly bowed, "I'm sorry to interrupt everyone but the girls are behind time so they have to leave for school now."
The girls then proceeded to grab their plates and left the room leaving Kenji with Megamo and his parents.
"Hey, I need to know, what's with this uniform?" Kenji asked as he sat at the table.
"Oh, your father and I agreed to take you to another school that's closer to home and will provide you with better quality education," Genka explained, "you look good by the way."
"Why, Buraza Junior High was good enough?" Kenji asked in disappointment.
"It may have been good but not good enough. I felt you would be better off at a school that gives you more opportunities," Kiyoteru explained.
"Eff off Kiyo, you don't have a say in my life," Kenji said as he slammed his hand on the table.
"I'll be in the living room," Kiyo sighed as he stood up, "Your boy is testing me, Genka." With that, he left the room.
"Kenji, that's no way to talk to your father," Genka started.
"Father? That nerd? I have no father," Kenji said proudly, "there's no way I'm calling him dad."
"Kenji please…"
"No mom butt off, I've made my decision."
"You, ungrateful brat, don't talk to her like that," Megamo said while standing up.
"Listen Megamo, between you and me, I know how to deal with her after all, it's not like I never grew up with a mother," Kenji said smugly.
"I swear you're lucky you're dealing with the right Saikou. If it weren't me, I swear you would've been quiet," Megamo sighed, holding in his anger. He then turned to Genka, "I'll be going now mom. See you later," he said as she hugged him.
"Bye dear," she said as he started walking out.
"Oh boy, you look like you've been bothered," Kenji started, "why don't you go cry to your mama about being bullied by a kid. Oh wait, she's dead."
"That's it!" Megamo said before grabbing Kenji's collar, "you're dead."
"Guys stop," Genka said.
"Boys that's enough," Kiyoteru said as he walked into the kitchen.
"But dad he…" Megamo started.
"I said that's enough." The command in the elder Saikou's voice caused his son to let go and storm off.
Kiyoteru then turned to Kenji, "Let's get going. I have a long day."
Hesitantly, Kenji walked out of the room leaving the couple together, "I'm sorry Kiyo," Genka started as she wiped her eyes.
"Hey Snugbug, toughen up and wipe your tears," Kiyo said while placing his hand on her cheek, "no one said parenting was easy. We'll manage this."
"I love you so much Kiyo," Genka said before kissing him.
"I love you too and maybe we should kiss every morning," he responded before adjusting his jacket, "Bye dear."
"Bye!"
The sun shone on the beautiful BMW as Kiyo drove his son to his new school. He could see the beautiful scenery as the cherry blossoms made everything pretty. Several students could be seen making their way to school.
"Say Kiyo, why are you taking me to school? You never take the others to school," Kenji asked from the back.
"I have to check you in first. Before you can start going on your own," Kiyoteru responded, "I would appreciate if you would sit like a gentlemen and remove your shoes from my white seats."
"Seeing you angry is the best thing for me so I won't."
The car screeched to a halt and Kenji could see the entrance of the school. It was a mostly white building and read "AKADEMI JUNIOR HIGH" in gold, "We're here," Kiyo said before stepping out of the vehicle with Kenji mimicking him.
"Let's go to the Headmistress' office, to check you in," the businessman said before he advanced with kenji following him.
They walked through the school. Kenji noticed all the different students all over the place going about their business. A good number of them greeted his father as they walked. Saikous must have been well acknowledged around here.
Eventually, the two of them stopped in front of a door that read "HEADMISTRESS". Kiyo then turned to his stepson, "you best behave while we meet her."
Kiyoteru pressed the doorbell and the doors opened shortly after. The room was very similar to the Headmaster's office at Akademi high except it had a feminine touch to it with white furniture and at the desk sat a middle-aged but attractive woman who wore spectacles and a grey pants suit.
"Mr. Saikou, it has been a while," the woman said as she stood to greet him.
"Oh yes, Mrs. Puresu, I never saw this day coming yet here I am," Kiyoteru responded.
"Well please sit," she said as they all took their seats. The woman then shifted her attention to Kenji, "Good morning young man."
"Uh, good morning," Kenji said while failing to make eye contact.
"What is your name?" she asked him.
"Kenji, Kenji K-Kunahito," he said while still avoiding her gaze.
Mrs. Puresu looked back at the businessman, "I see he hasn't adopted your name."
"Oh yes, he preferred to maintain his name," Kiyoteru explained.
"Clearly this is the young man you wanted to enrol," Mrs. Puresu started before she began to type on her computer, "Kenji Kunahito. You are in class 2-1."
"Thank you Mrs. Puresu. We'll be leaving now," Kiyoteru said as both he and Kenji stood, "Have a good day."
"You too Mr. Saikou."
The two walked out of the room and bumped into a boy who appeared to be Kenji's age. He had jet black hair slicked back and he wore a pair of diamond studs.
"Wait a minute, I must've seen you before," Kiyoteru said as he examined the boy, "Aha, you're the son of Satsuke, aren't you?"
"Oh yes, Mr. Saikou, I am," the boy responded before bowing, "My name is Uzu Satsuke."
"Uzu, I would like you to meet Kenji," the businessman said while patting his son on the back, "maybe you could show him to his class."
"No problem Mr. Saikou," Uzu said before looking at Kenji, "Come on Kenji."
"Have fun boys," Kiyo said before walking off.
"So what class are you in?" Uzu asked as they walked down the halls.
"I'm in 2-1," Kenji responded. He had to admit he felt a bit intimidated by the boy next to him. He was well accessorised as he could tell by the gold wrist watch and diamond studs he had. For some reason, he had a diamond ring on his right thumb. He was quite wealthy.
"Ah, that's my class," he responded with his deeper voice, "Hey, you should come chill with me and my friends at lunch time."
"Uh, okay."
"Oh here we are."
The doors opened revealing a teacher busy teaching the class full of several boys and girls, "Mr. Satsuke, who is this young man you've brought with you?" the teacher asked as the whole class shifted their attention.
"He'll introduce himself," Uzu said before walking to his seat.
"I uh… I'm Kenji, Kenji Kunahito," Kenji said nervously.
"Tell us a bit about yourself," the teacher said while leaning against his desk.
"I uh, like to play video games," he explained once more.
"Okay who would like to offer our new friend a seat?" the teacher asked.
Shortly after, a hand was raised, "He can come sit with me."
"Mr. Saikou, thank you for being so kind," the teacher said, "please take your seat."
Kenji walked up to the person who had turned out to be Endou. He sat next to her, "whoa, I never knew you went here."
"I never knew you were going to come here," she responded before smiling, "I'm glad I can finally have someone to talk to."
"Me too."
The bell rang signalling lunch time and the kids all began to leave their classrooms and went to the cafeteria.
"Hey, I think we're being served beef stew today," Endou said as they walked together, "I promise you it'll be the best."
"Okay, don't get me all excited," the boy responded as he looked around, "rich people food can sometimes be bland."
They got their food and sat at one of the tables, "So, how are you liking AJH?" Endou asked as they ate.
"AJH?"
"Akademi Junior High."
"Oh, it's okay, not bad for a prep school," Kenji replied, "say, how do you manage being a boy in school? I mean, which locker room do you use anyway? Which bathroom do you go to? What happens during that time of the month?"
"I manage pretty easily," Endou replied, "I use the toilets instead of the urinals in the boys' bathroom and I change my clothes from the infirmary," Endou explained, "I'm suspected to be gay so most guys don't hang out with me and there is no way I'm discussing my period with you."
"Okay man I get it," Kenji chuckled before belching, "that hit the spot…"
"Ugh, boys are disgusting," Endou said while holding her nose.
"What was that Mr. Saikou?" he asked the apparent 'boy' beside him.
"Kenji, we should get going," Endou said as she stood up.
"Actually, I have to meet up with some people right now. I'll catch you in class," Kenji said as he also got up.
Endou waved before walking away, leaving the blonde on his own.
Kenji glanced around until he spotted Uzu with a group of other kids seated in the corner of the room.
He made his way to the group, "Hey."
Uzu then acknowledged him, "Guys, this is Kenji, Kenji Kunahito," he said.
"Hi," Kenji greeted.
"Kenji, this is Shiori," Uzu said as he motioned to a girl with blonde curly hair that reached her mid back. She had sky blue eyes that seemed to be fixated on kenji as she licked her soft glossy pink lips. Kenji had to admit, she was hot. She wore a much shorter skirt than most girls that exposed her thighs as she had her legs crossed. She was also quite accessorised as she had diamond studs, a pearl bracelet and she also had a diamond ring on her right index finger.
"These two are Ginji," Uzu said as he motioned to a red-head who hadn't buttoned his shirt and kept his jacket open.
"Sup."
"And Houka," he said pointing to a blue haired boy who wore sunglasses on his uniform.
Shiori rose from where she sat and put herself of Kenji's lap, "you're cute…"
"Uh…" Kenji panicked as he was surprised by her actions.
"Don't worry about it. Just relax," Uzu said, "feel free"
Kenji had never had a girl so close to him. It felt strange but good since she was hot and it was alright.
Shiori smirked before speaking, "I think Kenji is too common a name for you."
"What do you mean?" he asked while getting hypnotized by her eyes.
"You're at a prestigious school and have like the richest dad ever," she continued, "I think your name should be… hmmm… Kencho, Kencho Saikou."
"Kencho… whoa, I can't just change my name like that… oh," he trailed off as Shiori place his hand on her thigh.
The blonde then leaned in to whisper into his ear, "Come on… please. I'll give you a little reward…" she purred seductively.
"Uh… well… I guess my name is Kencho Saikou," Kenji sighed before Shiori gave him a peck.
"Kencho Saikou," Uzu started, "I like the sound of that."
"Yeah," Kencho responded while looking at boy in front of him, "What next."
"You need some silver hair dye."
"What?"
"Coco, now I'm going to teach you a new move. Pay attention," Osoro said as she stood in front of Coco, "Come at me!" she said before the younger girl rushed at her.
Coco swung her bat at the blonde who ducked the bat and grabbed it before spinning and swinging it back at her only to stop a few centimetres from impact, "cool."
"Thanks, I came up with that one during kendo practice with my sister," Osoro grinned before she stopped, "where have you been?"
Coco glanced beyond Osoro and noticed Aoi awkwardly standing behind her.
"I said something Aoi."
"I-I was busy," the bluenette said before walking up to the both of them.
"Busy doing what, slacker?" Coco growled.
"Shut it, twerp, I was talking to the boss," Aoi spat before looking back at the blonde, "I have something to tell you."
"Spill it," Osoro said before leaning against the wall, "you've been ditching our activities."
"I was busy writing an application letter," Aoi explained, "I want to join the student council." her final words caused the blonde to raise her eyebrow. Coco on the other hand lost it.
"You, traitor, how could you do this?" Coco said before lunging at Aoi who dodged her swing. Coco spun to hit Aoi once more but she missed once again, "coward!"
"Coco, that's enough," Osoro said as she stopped leaning against the wall.
"I won't let you leave here walking traitor!" Coco yelled before rushing back at her only to be stopped by Osoro.
"Coco, there's no need for this. We need to talk about things," Osoro said to Aoi, "What do you mean?"
"I have decided to apply for the council," Aoi started, "don't get me wrong. I love being a part of the gang but I felt it didn't change anything about me. I still felt like the little delinquent I've always been and I honestly wasn't happy about it."
"You feel the student council will change a thing or too huh?" Osoro asked before she smiled, "Aoi, I support you all of the way. I'm glad I got to spend time with you and I'm happy you've decided to take a step in your life. I know you'll be in great hands in the council," she continued, "if the president gives you hell, just tell me and I'll deal with her."
"Thanks boss," Aoi said before hugging the blonde. They could hear the sound of sniffles from behind them.
"Coco, are you crying?" Osoro asked as the younger girl was literally bawling her eyes out
"I'll miss you Aoi!" she cried before hugging the bluenette, "I'm sorry for attacking you, I was just angry and sad and…"
"Too cute," Osoro smirked as she watched the two. Suddenly, something caught her attention, "who are you losers?"
The girls turned to face the five boys who all had blond hair and scars that looked self-inflicted, "I asked something so you better answer."
"We want to join your gang," one of the boys said.
"What makes you think you can join us?" Osoro asked while stiffing her hands into her pockets.
"I am…"
"We don't care who you are," Osoro said before she got into a fighting stance, "Aoi, before you go. You should help us with a little initiation ritual."
"Gladly."
"Okay is everything organised enough?" Megami asked as she paced around the room.
"Don't worry Megami," Kuroko said from the Vice President's desk, "everything is perfect."
"Alright," the silverrette took in a deep breath, "bring it on!"
The doors slid open startling the president into almost tripping. Akane walked into the room very calmly, "hi Megami."
"Hey Akane," Megami said as she hugged the red head, "please take a seat."
"sure thing," Akane smiled, "Hi Kuroko."
"Hello, Toriyasu-san."
The door opened once again revealing a little white-haired trouble-maker. Who walked in with her casual walk as her hands rested behind her head, "Knockety, Knockety, am I late?"
"Oh no, Shiromi, please take a seat," Megami said as she sat next to Akane.
"Hey She-Hulk, what's popping?" she smirked while looking up at Akane who smiled back at her.
"Hello Shiromi."
The group sat in a short silence before the doors opened once again. Revealing the eye-patch wearing bluenette who walked in and gave Megami the letter, "I'm sorry I was a little late."
'What's going on. A bipolar fiend, a thief and a delinquent. What is Megami thinking when she chose this bunch. I swear this council will be bizarre,' Kuroko thought as she looked at everyone in the room.
"Alright ladies, for those that do not know me, my name is Megami Saikou and I am the president of the student council," she said in her most professional tone ever while leaning against her desk, "beside me is my vice president Kuroko Kamenaga."
'From president to vice-president. Interesting,' Shiromi thought as she looked at Kuroko who looked back at her. To the VP's surprise, Shiromi winked at her.
"All you in in this room were picked to be a part of the student council this year. I believe you all have the potential to help me lead and protect the student body. You were all picked for your great qualities such as creativity, etiquette, command among others. So without further ado…"
"Shiromi Torayoshi."
"Sup?"
"Do you accept the position of the student council's treasurer. You would be required to look after all monetary commodities of the student populace. This includes issuing club fees. Funding of field trips as well as all social events that occur in the school."
The thought of being in control of money is what spoke volume to the thief. She could imagine being the one who gets to decide how much someone gets and whether or not she would give it to them, "well, heck yeah."
"Heh excellent," Megami smiled before turning to Aoi, "Aoi Ryugoku."
The bluenette rose to her feet and stood at attention, "yes ma'am!"
The silverrette only raised an eyebrow and sweat dropped while Shiromi laughed in the background, "chill dude. I'm not a colonel or anything."
In embarrassment, Aoi slowly sat down, "sorry."
"Anyway… do you accept the position of disciplinarian of the student council? If you do, your duties would be to ensure all students observe proper conduct while in school. All troublemakers should be dealt with by you and if the problem is too large, you would transfer it to Mrs. Saikou. Now don't get me wrong, we all have to ensure proper conduct but that would be your main area of work."
"Yes, I accept it," Aoi said while nodding furiously.
"Finally, Akane Toriyasu."
"Hi," she smiled.
"Do you agree to be the Student Council's Secretary? If you do, your job will be to take minutes during meetings. Organise documents and attend to students who may need to speak to any student council member in order to ensure organisation with the Council's functioning."
"Yes I do agree. I'm happy to help," Akane smiled.
"Excellent," Megami said in satisfaction, "Oh, for the record, I am not gender biased so don't go around telling people this is a female run council because of some feminist bull… excuse me."
"Cool."
"Alright ladies, let's run this joint."
Oh yeah, thanks for reading this chapter I really appreciate ya'll for coming this far. I appreciate your support. This is the last kick of this fanfic. So yeah…
Peace!
