Guys sorry for the delay to update, I had written a chapter of 3000 words but I thought it was not cool, So I made another chapter and deleted the other, and Happy New Year! I know, I'm late. but here I am and I promise to tebtar upgrade earlier this time.
Pov Third Person
Silena didn't want to force, she knew Alain would be even more secluded after that day, with everything that happened to Tony and Drew.
She knew that a date now might not be something they should have. Things were complicated now, but Silena just wanted to take Alain's mess away today. She knows it affected him.
She knows Alain well enough to know that he will walk away from her if he thinks this is right to protect her, he doesn't want it to affect her, even because they are together now but still ...
Alain had always had a bad habit of driving people away if he thought it would do them good. Silena saw it over and over. With her, with Lee, Suzy, Clarisse, Grover, and anyone who approached him.
She was walking to the ward now, to search a bandage for the bruise on Alain's forehead, The wound was washed by him but it is not fully healed, and it also gave her an excuse to spend more time with him, even if they had meeting in a few hours, Silena is pretty sure Alain will try to cancel.
He probably doesn't want people to see them together to prevent others from implicating or talking to her. What Silena thinks is ridiculous, She doesn't care what others will think if they see them together again.
Alain also doesn't care what they think of him. The problem is what they think of the people he cares about, and Silena knows he cares about her.
She sighed and went up the infirmary stairs. Inside, Lee was writing something on the clipboard and in front of her was her younger brother, Will solace.
"See? It's quite simple," he says and shows the clipboard with the pen to Will who nods and takes them.
"I get it, can I help you with anything else?" Will asks with a serious look at Lee.
Lee laughed at his brother's serious face and shook his head.
"No, Will, that's all." Lee smiled affectionately at his brother.
Silena smiled a little at the exchange and approached.
The two boys noticed his approach and looked in his direction. Lee's face lit up.
"Silena, hey, have you come for the bandage?" He asked and Silena nodded.
"Yeah, sorry if I'm disturbing anything," she says and Lee smiles amicably.
"No, are we done here, right Will?" He looked at his brother with a raised eyebrow and Will nodded.
"Yeah, and I'll write it down and then give it to you Lee, and Hi Silena, How do you feel? Are you eating vegetables?" He asked and looked at Silena seriously, holding the clipboard in front of him. Silena can't help but smile at this, Will is Lee's right-hand man in the ward, not least.
Lee rubbed his forehead "Will," he grunted and Will looked at him.
"What? Vegetables are important." He shrugged and looked back at Silena "Oh yeah, don't forget to tell Alain to eat fruits and vegetables OK, he's incredibly irresponsible when it comes to his health."
Silena laughed and nodded. "No doubt about it Will, leave it, I'll keep an eye on him."
"Great, because I really don't understand what's on the minds of sons of Underworld gods to be so irresponsible, really? They have to be so stubborn?" Will grunted and shook his head.
Silena smiled, Alain really gives Lee and Will trouble.
Flashback (One Week ago)
Alain was in the ward, lying on a bed, Silena reading a book sitting in a nearby chair.
Alain sighed in frustration.
"How much longer do I have to stay here anyway?" He said looking up at the ceiling.
Silena muttered a "Hmm." and did not take his eyes off his book, yet replied "... As long as necessary, Will said you should rest for at least two more days, you know," she says and Alain rests her head on the pillow with a slight thud
"Argh, Really, I want to go back to my cottage," he says and Silena snorts.
With an accusing look she speaks. "And what exactly? Spending all day locked inside? Really, You're so pale you look like a fanstama, you need more sun and less darkness." Alain moaned and pulled the covers over his face.
Silena smiled fondly. "You know, it's cute what you did." She says and Alain finds his eyes to look at her.
He arches an eyebrow "What do you mean?"
Silena looked at her book with a smile and a slight flush on her face. "You left your post near the flag because you thought I was badly hurt. That was ... kind of you," she says and Alain. She covers her face again when she feels the heat coming to her face.
With a muffled voice he answered
"It was no use anyway, Annabeth set a trap and I was dumb enough to believe it. Proof of that is the cut in the leg that that idiot Tony gave me."
Silena took her eyes off the book to see Alain covered in the white blanket. "It wasn't your fault or Annabeth's fault. She didn't know Tony would be in the bushes," she says.
"I know, I never said I blame her, I'm not mad at her," he replies.
"Hey," she says and then puts her book on the bedside table and pulls the chair over to Alain. She pulls the cover off Alain's face effortlessly and looks at Alain who stubbornly stared at the ceiling to avoid staring at her.
Silena smiles and takes Alain's hand beside her and intertwines her fingers, drawing Alain's attention and causing him to look at her.
"You really care about me." She says, it wasn't a question, it was a statement and it was said with love.
Alain snorts with a flush on his face.
" Do not look at me like that." He responds dryly and looks away.
Silena arches an eyebrow.
" As ?"
"As if that were a big deal, Anyone who knows you, would be worried if I were in my shoes."
"Anyone who?" She asks and Alain's gaze shifted upward.
"Charles," he answered.
"Charles is not you," she says with such determination that Alain finally gets up the courage to look back at her "It was you, not Charles! Why did you insist on putting Charles in our conversations when we are so close?" She asked with a frown and Alain sighs.
He crawls slowly to sit on the bed, careful not to injure his leg, and in the meantime pulls his hand away from Silena's grip that looks at him confused.
Alain then looks at her "He likes you, Silena, you know that." Alain knows and is aware of the strange sensations in his heart when Silena is around, but he needed to avoid them, for her sake, and his. Silena sighs and leans back in her chair.
"I don't like him like that." She answers simply.
Alain could feel the joy flooding him with that phrase, but he held back and feigned a curious expression, "Why not? He's kind, friendly, and likes you so much, he would be good to you." He was practically acting kind. of cupid now, and he really didn't like it. Just did it because he thought it was right, For Silena.
Silena seemed to be irritated by this and raised an eyebrow with obvious anger. "Sorry? Oh and you are the expert at knowing what's good for me now?" She says and Alain immediately regretted his words, What did he say was that stupid?
" I did not want to- "
She interrupted him. "Alain, You have no idea, do you? And are you just pretending to be afraid of things you can't explain?" She gets up and looks at him. Alain cringes at that and looks at his hands in his lap.
Alain knew exactly what she's talking about, but he can't, Charles is who this person must be, not him.
He knows they were not directly admitting and he is not in the mood to be the first to confess anything.
"I don't know what you mean," he says and Silena looks at him incredulously.
"You're impossible!" She shouted irritably and hurried to turn around and steamy with rage.
Alain considered calling her but what could he say? No, it's better that way. He fell silent and watched her leave.
Silena stopped at the entrance and Alain couldn't help but shiver a little at what she could say.
She turned quickly and shouted
"When you learn to admit what you feel you can talk to me, you idiot!" She darted out and all eyes in the room turned to Alain in confusion and amazement, and even curiosity.
After all what could Silena beuaregard fight with Alain begets and speak such things? It was obvious that this was something like romance.
Alain flinched on the bed and looked away at his hands again.
Will Solace walked slowly between the beds and approached his. With a raised eyebrow he asked, "Paradise troubles?" Alain sighed.
" Just Shup up Solace ." He says and looks at his hands downcast.
Flashback end.
Silena remembers spending a few days avoiding and ignoring him before Alain confessed to her.
"Silena?" She blinked and looked at Lee and Will.
"Sorry, I don't understand, can you repeat?" She asked and Lee looked at her curiously.
"ah ...you ok ?" Then Silena smiled.
" Yeah.. And the bandage, for Alain's bruise , please." she says .
Will then claps his hands together
"Well, I'm going, Silena. Take good care of the Shadow Kangaroo because we all know he doesn't do it himself, bye." Silena smiled at the nickname given to Alain and Will passed her and waved. Lee and Silena waved back before he left the ward. Then Silena turns her attention to Lee.
"The cut is not so dangerous, of course it can get infected but we both know that Alain has already cleaned it and is not so dumb to make it dirty, so what is it? You seem nervous to me about something," Lee asked. Lee was good at figuring things out, Silena had to admit.
Silena sighed with a half-fallen look. "You got it right." She says dryly and looked at him with some reluctance. "Lee ... Do you think Alain might want to ... Break up?"
Lee seemed surprised to ask "Ah ... Where did that come from?"
She looked shy " i just ... You know Alain, He has the habit of turning away if he thinks it will be good for someone, You and I have seen him do it several times," she says.

"Bring him back whole?"
Silena nodded shyly "yes please .. Just take care of him outside please" she asks and Lee nodded.
"Don't worry Silena, I'll make sure he comes back alive, I promise." He says .
She let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you."
Lee smiles sympathetically "No need to say thanks, Alain is my friend, And I worry about him too, me and grover will make sure he doesn't kill himself, no need to worry," he replies and then takes a bandage from a drawer and offers Silena "And here's the bandage, good luck," he says and Silena smiles and takes the bandage.
"thanks again, Lee." she says and turns around.

Lee then observed leaving in Silencio.
He still didn't forget what he saw when Alain argued with Drew, he mentally promised. Also that he would keep an eye on Alain, There was something strange around Alain, something dark, And he promised to find out what it is.

Alain breathed a little breathlessly, He held his head in his hands with a grimace, his cheeks were wet with tears, He was on his knees leaning against the cottage wall by the bed.

"Alain, hey." She pulled her chin gently on her, Then her blue eyes scanned her face and Alain still didn't look at her. "Look at me, Right now, Shadow Boy." She ordered but it was a calm, though strong tone.
Alain sighed and then looked at her.
"Why were you crying?" She asked and then her gaze turned fierce. "Was it Drew again? Or Tony? If one of them came here to bully you again, Argh I swear to the Gods I'll-"
Alain smiles a little at the way Silena looks.
She looked at him a little surprised by the Smile, even though it was a weak smile. He just smiled ... "no, it was nothing like that ..." He says a little quietly. He sighed and the smile fell "I just .." He didn't want to sound so vumeral, He didn't like the idea of it, but Silena already realized and it was pointless to contradict, he knows she won't give up knowing what happened after seen it like that.
Maybe he better tell the truth, at least part of it. "I had nightmares, couldn't sleep," he tells and Silena's gaze softens.
" Do you want to talk about it ?" she asks.
Alain shakes his head "No, I really wanted to forget it," he says and looks away. It was then that Silena saw the small cut on her forehead beside her brow that she remembered why it came.
"Oh I brought a bandage for the bruise," she says and takes the bandage from her pants pocket.
Alain would take it from his hand when Silena pushed him away. "I put it in," she says in a kind of authoritative tone. Alain rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement, he stood still as she removed the plastic and pulled his face toward her. He grunted with the tug but was quiet as she gently put the bandage over the wound.
She smiles softly at him and releases her face, her blue eyes fully directed at him. "You should try to sleep, I can sit in a chair and hold your hand until you fall asleep." she says with a bright smile.
Alain sneered, "I don't need babysitting, And it seems like your presence would change something." He says and Silena shrugged.
"Maybe not, but it won't hurt to try, Now lie back and rest, I'll be by your side if you need me," she says and Alain looks at her with a frown.
"You don't have to do this, I'll be fine." he said that but to be honest he didn't know. He only spoke because he didn't want Silena to waste his time waiting for him to sleep because he was too weak to ward off nightmares. Or Kronos ...
Silena gave him a look, "Alain, stop stubborn and lie down soon, And it's no use, I won't give up, Now lay down and sleep, If you have nightmares again, we'll find another solution." She speaks authoritatively and gets up, getting standing by your side and crossing your arms.

Silena smiled in victory and then pulled the covers up to his neck and Alain gave her a slightly annoyed look "I can do this on my own!" He exclaims but Silena simply ignores him and hums to herself as she straightens the blanket around him. Alain lets out a frustrated breath and drops his head on the pillow in defeat.
"I'm feeling like a baby, and I don't like being a baby." True, He didn't like having to go through childhood all over again, it was strange being a baby, having the body of a child of 12 until he bears it.
Silena smiled "So don't act like one, stop complaining," she says and pulls out a chair to sit beside him on the bed, it reminds her of the countless times she'd had to sit beside him in the ward. "You know, I can even read you a book if you want." She suggests playfully.
Alain glances her way and she laughs raising her hands in surrender. "OK It's not here who spoke ... but the offer is still standing."
"Silena."
"Mouth shut, I get it."
After some minutes...
t "I can't do it!" He stood but Silena stopped him by gently pushing him by the shoulders back to the bed.
"No, you're tired and trying to deprive yourself of sleep won't work. You have to leave tomorrow, remember?" She says and Alain gets pushed with a frown on his face. She is right.
"Argh! It's weird! You're practically watching me while I sleep." He responds with a look.
Silena rolls her eyes.
"We've done it several times in the nurse, It's not that different, Now Sleep." She speaks and sits back in the chair.
"In the ward you would have a comfortable chair instead of this skinny thing made of wood."
Silena shot him a look.
He breathes and closes his eyes, after a second he turns his back to her, then turns back to her.
He was restless, Silena sighs and then raises her right hand to rub the boy's scalp in front of her, Alain opens one eye with a frown.
" What are you doing ?" he asks, not a hostile tone.
Silena smiles "Helping you sleep, Now try to relax," she says and gently strokes her black hair again.
"You don't have to take care of me, it's not your obligation," he says.
"No, but I'll take care of it anyway." She says simply. Silena was very kind to him, but honestly he doesn't think he deserves it. He hides so many things from her. She wasn't even meant to be with him. It was Charles, not him.
But she chose him, After all ... she chose him.
"How long will you stay?" He asked .
Silena shrugged, "Until it gets dark, And if necessary, As long as it takes for you to get proper rest." Would she waste so much of her time taking care of him? Even if he has acted so stupid with her sometimes?
He sighed and took her hand from her hair and held it with a gentle squeeze, thus drawing her attention to him. "I'm not well regarded by the others at camp, Silena. She tried to sound strong. "I don't care." she spoke in a strong tone, and prayed silently that Alain would not go on with those words.
Alain saw the way she was, he realized.
So he did something unusual. "Okay." He stepped aside to make room in the bed. "So rest too, I won't allow you to sit there in that uncomfortable chair while you watch me sleep, I don't take no for an answer." He says trying to sound nonchalant, It was beyond strange, He was inviting a girl to his bed and his girlfriend no less (it was still weird this relationship thing between them) But there was no malicious suggestion, To be honest, He just wanted to demonstrate A gesture of kindness to show that she cares. And he didn't want her to stay there in that old chair while he slept comfortably in his bed either.
Silena looked surprised at first but soon a kind smile graced her face, Alain rolled her eyes as Silena opened her mouth to speak.
"If you say I'm being -"
"Cute, very cute," she says with a smile.
Alain blushed, but tried to sound nonchalant. "Stop talking nonsense and go to bed soon." He looked away at the pillow.
Silena laughed but then lay down beside her, looking straight at Alain. "My cute," she says and she pinched his nose and he grimaced with a flushed face, she laughed and then snuggled into his chest, holding him close. Alain tensed at the contact, but then took a deep breath and pulled the covers over her as well, and then snaked his arm around Silena's waist.
He closed his eyes.
"Alain?" Silena spoke but he remained with his eyes closed.
" Hmm ?"
"Take care tomorrow, okay?" She says .
Alain opened his eyes and looked down. Where Silena had her face against his chest, he sighed and then kissed her head calmly. He was surprised how kind he was being, he was never to show gestures of affection, it was still a little unusual for him.
"I will, don't worry," he answered and felt Silena tighten his shirt further.
He did not know how long they would be there, And if anyone saw them it would be strange, but who in their right mind would enter the chalet of the son of Hades without permission? Maybe Grover, Lee or Clarisse, but he really doesn't care about that right now.
Within minutes they fell asleep, and Alain had no nightmares while he slept.
